Supreme Committee for the reform of the ration system discussed presentations on the use of the smart card

Baghdad (news) .. discussed the Supreme Committee for the reform of the ration card system headed by the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Offers Iraqi banks and the World Food Programme (WFP) on the use of the smart card instead of the current card.

This came in an expanded meeting chaired by the Secretary General and the Chairman of the Committee Ali Mohsen Ismail.

The Secretary-General: This project achieves construction of a centralized database using databases, open source, characterized by high efficiency and speed of data retrieval and compatibility to work with the technology of mobile and smart cards and online portals, and provides data and statistics, accurate and timely in order to control and improve performance.

He continued: a smart card system for ration material creates a spirit of competition between shops in the provision of good qualities, as it allows the citizen has the freedom to choose where the markets and the type of material.

He praised the secretary general of the Council of Ministers, the role of the World Food Programme (WFP) in support of the government through its experience with other countries.

The statement added: The representative of the World Food Program, said during the meeting: that the role of the World Food Program Inc. (MasterCard) will be limited to providing technical support to enhance the efforts of the government and in support of the Government's vision long-term ration card system to provide social protection system effective, which aims to him Strategy reform of the ration card system.

Hmm, so if my "between the lines" spectacles are working, maybe no RV until Q1 of 2015?

not quite sure what they are referring ,    maybe they are talking about the 2015 date is when the smart card will actively be in use ,  as in other articles , we have seen through photo`s  that the card readers , and finger scanners  are now in use , and the ration cards are used , and loaded ,  we hope they will do ---- a value rise in the currency wayyyy before the 2015 date line ,   like 1 2014  and or before !!     really I`m  kind of lost when they are filling the cards with amounts ,  and when they do raise the values in currency how will this effect the values in the cards holders  accounts ?

Sounds if certain place have intact-ed the use of the Smart Card...ie the proper equipment to make use of the Smart Card...and by 2015 most establishment will have the necessity equipment, which they will be able to use in any store or government outlet...
