BAGHDAD ((eighth day))

Committee revealed the economy and investment parliamentary elections, Sunday, that the amendments introduced by the Law on Basra, Iraq's economic capital stripped him of financial concessions to ensure passage of the House of Representatives and not to be undone by the government.

 

And Basra, Iraq's second largest city, located in the far south of Iraq, on the west bank of the Shatt al-Arab waterway that crossing consists of the confluence of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in Qurna.

 

Basra is Iraq's sole port, and access the main sea, also rich in the province's rich oil fields, including Rumaila fields SAA and West Qurna fields and rivers of crazy age.

He F, a member of the existing Iraqi province of Basra that list will vote in favor of the law, in addition to the State of Law coalition and the Kurdistan Alliance has no problem in voting, and "we will ensure not to be undone by the government after the lifting of all the paragraphs relating to the financial consequences."

Thanks Yota, I think this was the port of Umkazar back in the day. This's the port targetted during the war and had several dozen ship sunk in the harbor and shipping channels to prevent passage. Back in the day it was said that the destruction of this existing port was the best thing that could have happen to it. It was poorly designed and the re-design of it could make the port more international friendly.
