w0tm
Here's someting that may be of interest. Forward it as you wish but do not use my name or screen name please. I've been reading that Wells Fargo is somehow a key to this and that having a WF account might move you ahead of others. I visited a WF branch today intending to open up a modest checking account, $4,000 so I wouldn't have to pay fees. As we started I casually asked the new accounts clerk "have you heard anything about a revaluation of the Iraqi currency called dinars". She froze for a moment. Then said "yes, I have. You know it is a complete hoax, I don't know how it got started and don't know how Wells Fargo became the target as the primary bank involved". I then said "I'm sure Wells Fargo personnel have been told to say that if asked". Still smiling. I then said "I'll go ahead and open up an account just in case". She excused herself. Within ten seconds she returned with the branch manager who said "this dinar thing is a hoax and I can give you the phone number of an individual at our corporate headquarters who is in the IRAQI DINAR DEPARTMENT who can explain the hoax to you --". I cut her off saying "there is AN ENTIRE DEPARTMENT FOR IRAQI DINARS at Wells Fargo!!??". Instant red face and stammering. She regained her composure saying "if your only interest in opening up a checking account is Iraqi dinars we do not want your business." "So I can't open up a checking account with $4,000 cash in hand?" "No, I'm sorry". She almost pulled me out of my chair and escorted me to my car! She stood there until I drove off. What did I do next? - I drove to another WF branch and opened up an account saying nothing about dinars. Fortunately, the first encounter did not get far enough along to even get my name. Something is VERY odd about WF and dinars. What are the odds that word has gotten out within WF to where even basic tellers have their assets down to their socks invested in dinars? AND if an RV occurs they will all get the best rate and the earliest payouts It was a VERY strange day for me. Take it for what it's worth. 8
JMULS31
That's kind of strange no? You would think banks would want your money regardless.

Bobbydee
It's like hearing the same joke over and over. After a while it just gets old. They did post a video stating they do not have any business dealings with the Dinar. It was posted here on DV some time ago. Of course if the dinar does rise in value you can bet they'll have everything to do with it. That's when you should pay her a visit again. Just saying. Blessings to all

Frangipani
Four reasons not to buy this load of cr*p.... 1) "but do not use my name or screen name please." What? Because w0tm is such a common profile name and anyone at any dinar site will know exactly who you are if they do..or is it because you stole someone's photo from 1979 to use as your profile photo? or... 2) You posted here at DV, one of the most popular dinar forums on the web in HUGE lettering because you didn't want your post to be forwarded? or.. 3) A bank wouldn't take your 4K because they're offended that you insinuated anything about the IQD? 4) You're not a pumper?

Big Newby
I'm sick and tired of the WF crap that continually gets posted. I have a Wells Fargo account that I opened specifically to accomodate the first piece of a dinar transaction. I've spoken twice to WF bankers both times asking about foreign currency exchanges. Both gave me the company line about WF being a world leader in that field who can exchange just about every world currency. When I specifically asked about dinar exchange, both matter of factly affirmed that their particular WF location in Texas will be participating in such exchanges. In both cases it was no big deal to them. Let's be honest: there will be millions of dollars in fees and interest banks will be able to make doing so. Why would ANY bank refuse such business? The truth is: NO bank is going to refuse the dinar business. In fact there will be intense posturing and marketing by banks to lobby for dinarians' business for one purpose: PROFIT! I can't wait to witness the results first hand. And I think it's fairly close.

new york kevin
Interesting. Just for fun, because of posts like this, I say we have a post RV party in the parking lot of our local WF. Have patience with this newbie, before you begin stalking him and slingging slurrs at his car, h8ters. Give him a chance. Let him post a little more, develope a track record. If he proves to be son of TerryK or Okie Oil Man then have at it if its worth your time. Most of us were dupped in the beginnig hearing what we wanted to hear. Seeing $$$ with everyones good article. Then after awhile it dawned on us that alot of people on this site or other sites were nuttin but stupid dumper pumpers suffering from deflated egos and a$$hole-itis. Help the dude to learn whats right, if he doesn't learn then the stupids on him.

Rayzur
That's interesting that he was not offended and nonetheless opened up an account at WF..... Maybe WF was getting tired of people using their last dime to open an account for no other reason than to be a part of the grand dinar cash in.... and ran up all kinds of fees.... for NSF or the account eating what little money was in there... or whatever... and they were starting to get large numbers of people they had to close out... and therein get a bad rap and it was a huge accounting pain in the azzz etc etc... who knows.... SamDinar
Seems that this story makes no sense the new accounts clerk that he spoke to left her desk, and escorted him to his car? The normal procedure would be for her to contact a higher-up and security and they would have escorted him out. So I call BS on this one !
