Just curious. Lets say a .10 RV happens.  Would you ash in all or part of your holdings?  I will give my answer after this topic successfully posts.

Ok....It posted so here is what I would do.  I have 2.5 million so I would cash in 500k and leave the rest for increases.  I am considering buying more with some of my funny money I use for Gambling at casinos.  I feel the chances of a huge win is much higher with IQD than any game in a casino.  Thats a no brainer  This excess I buy would help cover the huge taxes we will pay the gov't plus fees

I DONT KNOW WAIT AND SEE

Well of course we wait and see but I would still like to hear from others.  I'm not looking for professional opinions and advice. Don't want it or need it.  This is just out of curiosity and FOR ME would be fun to read.  Indulge me with this fantasy.  It is a fantasy at this point.

I don't believe that it will RV anything lower than .50.....people with much more money than us would buy in, profiting from eventual increases.  BUT, if it did RV at .10, I'm holding.

Ya know that was my initial thought to hold at .10 and wait for it to rise.  I guess when it happens Adam will have some valuable info.  Thanks for your input.

I still believe what we have here in the US will go to the US treasury to be used later for oil purchases. What good would a little rate of .10 do for the US coffers. They want big amounts, big dollars to play with. They got more scandals to create and it takes money. Maybe I am wrong but I think we will see a larger rate for higher taxes.

But there will be a window of time and you will have to cash in and you won't be able to watch it increase.

And this window of time (Adam does  mention this) will stay at the initial opening RV and won't raise at all during this window of time?

Interesting.   I see Iraq  RVing at .10 to drag in as many dinar possible.  I'm all in with you for a higher rate.  Higher taxes is inevitable at any cashing in you do.  I also wonder if this so called windfall tax actually exists (has it passed) or is it a bad rumor?  A windfall tax would do some additional tax damage.

Says who?  I know that it has been put out that there will be a cash in period, but until that's official, I'm holding.

Adam spoke of the possibility (POSSIBILITY) of this happening but I doubt that it would not increase in this suposed time window unless it was a very short time.  When I find the post where he mentioned that possibility  I will bring in here.  Maybe someone with more experience can find that quote from Adam.

I am probably going to wait for 1 to 1 before cashing in a small amount. I will see what the deal is about the smaller denominations and I will make up my mind (at that time) if it will be best to trade for the newer smaller bills and hold them for longer. Of course, this will all depend on the time frame allowed for cash in and the release of the smaller bills.

One thing I have NEVER understood when speaking of a low....10cent RV...what is to prevent the whales from rushing in and buying up every dinar they can find...knowing the stated intention of Iraq is to "restore their former glories" ....

I agree, I think it is going to go 1 to 1 very soon, if not start out that way.

I'd cash a small amount (maybe a fourth to a third) of mine to insure some profit and to pay off some debt. Then I'd enjoy ( I hope) the ride upward and onward !! Go RRRRVVVVVV !!!

Ditto, I would cash in enough to pay off my car. And if there is a deadline on cashing in, I need to find a place that has the lower denominations so as to trade for the newer currency. I am going to hold until it goes up, and it will. IMO.  I am excited just to see it going international, the rest is going to be fast and wild. LOL IMO... :bravo:
