Twilight news called for the Parliamentary Committee on the economy and investment, the Central Bank of Iraq need to delete zeros from the currency, indicating that this ground for such action by Iraq from Chapter VII.

He said economic and Investment Committee member mehma Khalil told a news conference the Commission attended by "Twilight", "on the Central Bank to start the draft structure of the currency as a purely economic issue, and that the Iraqi economy is expected to benefit from the advantages of getting us out of Chapter VII."

"Iraq is not the only country to delete zeros from its currency, already had Turkey and Lebanon have succeeded in stabilizing the economic situation when it revises zeroes their currencies."

Khalil said that "delete zeros, demanded by the Central Bank, but the Iraqi Government demanded the wait till the time is right, and after coming out of Chapter VII fell all justifications for the implementation of this project."

The "Iraqi Constitution need changing and deleting zeros from the currency required by the economic situation of the country, and for the benefit of the Iraqi people."

Committee member criticized his attorney Abdul Hussein abtan "zeros in Iraqi currency.

"It is not reasonable that the Iraqi Central Bank reserves of 76 billion dollars and yet we have thousands."

The CBI had announced earlier that the 2013 will see the deletion of zeros and currency, and noted that the current currency formed block big cash estimated at 30 trillion dinars.

He noted that the Central Bank's strategy of deleting three zeros and the changeover would be at the beginning of a new year and a new budget for the Iraqi State, and predicted that the currency is altered in the new fiscal year to 2013.

Professional economists finds that changing Central Bank Governor Sinan Al-Shabibi and Vice-President Mohammad Saleh appearance and a number of World Bank officials and bring them to justice for alleged mismanagement and corruption negatively impact a project changing currency and raise zeros.

I didn't mean "good find" as in good for us....just meant overall good find....knowledge is power! The link I put in their talks about the zero issue in regard to decimal points but this article mentions what happened in Turkey and that's not good...

IAfter reading it and seeing who the people were in it, I had a feeling of deja-vu [regardless of the article date]

This is last years news--pay attention to the bit towards the end:

The CBI had announced earlier that the 2013 will see the deletion of zeros and currency, and noted that the current currency formed block big cash estimated at 30 trillion dinars.

Announced earlier? Than 2013?.....

He noted that the Central Bank's strategy of deleting three zeros and the changeover would be at the beginning of a new year and a new budget for the Iraqi State, and predicted that the currency is altered in the new fiscal year to 2013.

Meaning that they predicted  that this would have happened  in the new fiscal year of 2013....

Which has long since started and now on the downward slide.

Shabibi and Saleh are also no longer in the picture [at least publicly]

this is a new article

I see the date, yes.  The context of the article is from last year [plain and obvious].

But, being in the LOPster tank, typical knee -jerk reaction is to only see the bits that are of interest to you.

But what Iraq news is notorious for rehashing /regurgitating old stuff.

Once you read enough articles , you too, will come to see this.

"dontlop" has even proven this occurs with news--they recently put out an article and--word for word- it was from last year.

even if this was from last year it would not make any difference.Redenomination is still a Very Very Huge possibility because they keep showing up.

plus it mentions iraq out of chapter 7 so its new so its not rehashed

Yes it is---it just has new filler.

I see you decline to read the context of the article and gravitate [still] to what catches your eye.

Not too long ago you questioned why you were here in the "tank"....

Maybe our little exchange here  will shed some light to the answer you seek.
