but we're pretty sure he'd tilt back in his chair with his foot up on the porch rail and in his

best Uncle Jed Clampett, typically slow, sage way say something like:

 

"well ain't that just a whole lotta sumthin'...  and he'd kinda stare off out over the lake and

without even looking up, he'd say... Did you girls git them Dinar outta mothballs for me yet?

Now go git those blueprints for The Veterans Housing Project...  I think I'd like to

take a look at those today...."

 

Then he'd roll them out on the porch table, and using his jackknife, slowly trace over each and

every single detail on those prints and tell us - again - how every single thing is to be executed

and done to perfection. 

And without looking up, he'd say what he always said..." yup, the troops're gonna love this,

it's a good place alright, yup... a good place."...

 

We can just hear him now.
