Heavyduty053
This story is only a illustration of our time here on earth. Our lives is only a mere blink of ageless eternity and Jesus has made us a promise of a place where time has no meaning and love will endure forever......This is just something I wanted to do for him, his family, his friends and the DV family. One day in the early fall, a little girl was helping her mother plant bulbs in the soil. While it didn't seem there could be life in the seemingly dead bulbs, her mother could see the look on her daughter's face so she set about explaining the many different colors of tulips that would rise out of the soil in the spring. " The little girl looked at her mother and said mommy I don't think I will see that." Her mother just thought the little girl didn't understand how seasons change so she told her about the cycle of plant life to see if that would help. The little girl just smiled and said nothing. Later that year at Thanksgiving time the little girl took her turn giving thanks. After the prayer she said, "Oh and jesus I am thankful that my mommy will see all the beautiful tulips in the spring. Her Mother did not catch how she didn't include herself. As Christmas rolled around she asked her mother to take what money she would spend on her and spend it on some poor children. Her mother just thought her daughter was being kind, so she did as her daughter had asked. One day after Christmas the little girl was in her room scribbling on some paper. After she finished she took it and put it inside her Bible. It wasn't but a few days until the little girl didn't feel good. She did not go to school, she stayed in her bed all day. She told her mother she felt awful tired. Her mother told her that if she didn't feel better by the next day she would take her to see her doctor. Before dawn the next morning the angels came and took her away. Of course her mother was sad and crying. After the funeral she came home went into her little girl's room and sat on her bed wondering why. Through her tears she happen to see that peace of paper sticking out of her little Bible and she pulled it out and looked at the scribbled words. Mommy, Jesus told me to tell you to look outside at the tulips. When her mother went to the window and looked at where the bulbs had been planted there were tulips of different colors and the best part was some were resembling the outline of a cross. Her mother looking at the cross of tulips knew that it was a sign from heaven that her daughter was in heaven with him. SWFG went to be with his lord in the early morning hours as most do. He took his rightful place in heaven with his savior. His soul was required of him last night and he answered that call with gladness. You will be missed. Our DV family has a hole in it now from his passing. Father, last night you called one of your children home and he will surely be missed. Lord be with the family of your child, show them that he is with you now. Lord you have our lives in your hands and each one of us has a moment coming to depart this earth. Fill the hearts with memories and bless them who are grieving. In the name of sweet Jesus I pray Amen and Amen

I didn't personally know him but through all of you and from years of reading his post, he felt like someone I would be close with. The tribute by all the members here at DV is very inspiring and I hope as some comfort this can be shared with his family. Thanks for the beautiful story. RodandStaff
Thanks for the reminder Heavy... no one, no matter what our age, knows the time we have left on our clocks... but from the Father's perspective we just need to use the time we have each day as though it may be our last... for one day it will be. SWFG used his well imo, and will be greatly missed.
