Iraq's Council of Ministers decided, on Tuesday, holding its next meeting in the city of Arbil, the capital of the province of Kurdistan.

He said media adviser to Prime Minister Ali al-Moussawi, for "Twilight News", that "the meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, and will be on the sidelines of his visit to Arbil next week."

He added that "the meeting will be a regular will not be looking a particular file, but it will be discussed what is included on the agenda."

Maliki's visit to Arbil, at the invitation of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Barzani, who visited Baghdad recently.

The Council of Ministers has already held several meetings in the Iraqi provinces.

And ended Barzani's visit to Baghdad and some of the files that were agreed upon with the al-Maliki, county deputies and ministers of the Kurdistan Alliance and other Kurdish forces, meetings of the House of Representatives and ministers voting against the backdrop of the current year's budget without compatibility with the Kurdish parties.

The National alliances and Kurdistan exchanged during the last period messages and delegations for the purpose of addressing outstanding issues, notably Article 140 of the Constitution and the dues of foreign oil companies and the fate of the Peshmerga forces and national partnership.

There are old problems between Baghdad and Erbil over disputed areas and oil wealth management as well as the budget of the Regional Guard "Peshmerga" and others.

Federal Cabinet held on Sunday unusual session chaired by the President of the Council Nuri al-Maliki in the city of Erbil in Kurdistan province.

 

The adviser to Prime Minister Ali al-Moussawi, in a statement to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), said Tuesday that al-Maliki will arrive in Arbil on Sunday to hold a Cabinet meeting in Arbil, pointing out that al-Maliki will meet on the agenda visit the President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani.

Maliki's too afraid to go alone, so he's taking the ministers as backup. Nobody will make a move on slick-Micki while he has his peeps in tow. It would be a shocker for anything relating to HCL and article 140 to materialize.
