Whenever religion or politics get into the discussion. The posts get long and meaningless.... If you want bible study go to church.

.....this is way more FUN.....!......church is serious.....

WOW I never thought there would be so much response to my post. I.M.O this world would be a MUCH better place if all these religious fanatics would try to be more spiritual. Excuse me for saying this, Christians are the worst! Why do they all think

there's is the only true belief and all others are the work of the devil? The bible is a marvelous history book. It wasn't written by god. GOD cant write. It was written by man, many men. DO you believe everything you read? By the way, I don't recall anything written by Jesus, only secondhand hearsay hocus pocus hallucinations.

.......did you not ever see the movie...."The Ten Commandments?"

2 Corinthians 4:3-5 (NLT)

3 If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. 4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

5 You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake.

I find it hard to believe God said unto the native Americans......."Thou shalt have casinos".  Other than that, I believe the Lord is in full control of my life.....because I asked Him to be.   :)

GO RV, then BV

Wow shabs thats pretty lame.  Thats like saying I find it hard to believe that god said to the black people ." thou shalt have watermelon"  Know what I mean dude .

Kind of insulting.  I don't think my  god would want to push the matter one way or another. Unless there was a reason that we dont know. Like a grandchild or some life that would benefit  from the result of a Rv  and this child was meant to change the world in some way . Only then would we all benefit from that special child.

All things are a blessing from god the air ,  water,  the natural energy that he blesses us with . coal  , gas , oil   Many of us need this RV. But to say it will be god given as though we some how deserve it no I think not.   We are all sinners and not worthy even to look upon his sandals so unless there is a benefit for god to make this happen

I dont see him lifting a finger in regards to the RV.    I know I certainly  don't deserve such a blessing.

well said my friend...what ponoboy and others don't seem to realize is that the man with and experience in GOD is NEVER at the mercy of the man with a theory, philosophy or idea

My point is this. I have my own relationship with a higher power. It's mine and mine only. Just because I question peoples religious beliefs, doesn't make ME a disbeliever in "GOD". I threw the question out there for some intellectual debate. Not to get chastised for my own personal belief. I'm good with MY god. Do you think the other 3 billion souls on this earth that aren't Christians even care about the bible or Jesus going to "Hell". Do you think that every other religious belief is wrong? That's just what the Christians thought when they killed millions in order to gain power and control throughout the last 2000 years.

Almost all the violence on earth today is religiously based. PROVE ME WRONG.

Your not wrong. What your saying now is fact. I wasn't raised in a religious family but that doesn't mean my family doesn't believe. We just don't practice.

Shab as I pondered this I had to respond.......Everything that God put on this earth was for the good of mankind.....and I say WAS...now the rest is what man's feeble minds with the help of satan has come to be....Casino's, gambling, drunkiness, anything to keep us away from God's worship is inspired by satan.

And most of the violence is non-Christian based.  Christianity is not seeking power and control over anyone.  The opposite is the case.  Christian teaching is submission to God, one another, and even to those who abuse us. Love is seeking another's highest good. The message is Christ crucified, which is offensive to the world because it calls for submission to Christ as Lord.

The exclusive nature of Christianity is based on the fact that God came to this world in human flesh and shed His blood for our forgiveness. His resurrection from the grave and hades proves who He really IS.

The real "rub" for the rest of the world is that they do not want a life that has anything to do with submission to God, or has anything to do with a religion that depends upon God for their way into eternal life. Most think and want a life that they can believe the way they want to believe, live the way they want to live (without consequences), and "love" that allows everyone entrance into God's eternal realm. But Christianity is exclusive.  Oh, it is for everyone and God wants everyone to be saved from death, but there is a condition: FAITH.  Unless a person believes in Christ, they will die in their sin. That is not what God wants, but it is what most of the world has chosen.

It is right to question the beliefs of others and your own beliefs as you search for understand and truth. Everyone should do that.    I wish you well on your journey, but don't make the basis of your belief your on opinion.  It is a poor substitute for factual revelation about God.

Who? Are you saying god is somebody? Is it HE or SHE?

I KNOW... I KNOW... I Should NOT Touch This Post With A Ten Foot Pole! :)

But I'm Going To Do It Anyway... And Say That I don't Think God Has Anything To Do With Our Investments In Money.

HIS ONLY GOAL IS TO TEACH US LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER... THAT'S IT.

Right on bra. You get it

God is Sovereign and in control of everything. He sends the rain on the just and the unjust (Matthew 5:45), I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.' (Isaiah 45:7)

WM13

He has quoted the Bible, so it must be true. It was written by God. (Hame55:32)

There, my own citation proves it - from the Book of Hame 55, verse 32.

WOW I just noticed that all these people posting these negative remarks about God or Jesus or anything with Christian content jumps against it.....but they are a new crop because they have just a few posts.....forgive them for God will deal with them soon....On more thing most of us understand that it is the Lord that giveth and the Lord will take it away from you just as quick......Please keep in mind that if you are not deserving of this blessing and will to do right with it, he may just make sure that you loose your wealth pretty quick thru many means.   Been around a lot of years and seen this very thing.....don't say I didn't warn you.

I will "loose" my wealth?

Even if I hold it tightly, you mean it will get loose? Like loose women?

Where will it go when it gets loose?

How much reading do you do? (other than the Bible...)

God help us all, or these evangelicals are going to keep us all in perpetual war and ignorance...

Romans 1:21-23 (NLT)

21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

Mark 6:10-11 (NLT)

10 “Wherever you go,” he said, “stay in the same house until you leave town. 11 But if any place refuses to welcome you or listen to you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”

I am the preacher who wrote the material; other than what I repeated from Scripture, which is most of it.

I am not an "evangelical" but I am "evangelistic."  I am simply a Christian.  Christians do a great deal of reading and not just from the Bible.  You see, we do not limit our minds by refusing to reading the Bible, that part of education.  Reading the Bible will certainly enlighten the mind, but ignorance is your choice.  No one keeps you from knowledge, nor can they keep you "in perpetual war and ignorance." Again, it is a choice you make.

Allah is a god, one of the many concocted by human understanding or one made by man.

For even if there are so-called gods whether in heaven or on the earth, as indeed there are many gods and many lords, yet for us there is one God, the Father, from Whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

Allah, if he is a god, is subject to the One God of the Bible.  When one is calling Allah, or any one of the many gods, and they do not know the God of the Christian, they become slaves to those which by nature are not god.  The only way out of that enslavement is to get to know and understand the Jesus Christ is the King of kings, Lord of lords, and God of all gods.

Tell that to the people that are in control of the of the country you've invested in.

King Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, said, "Surely your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries.  Quite a confession for a Babylon king.  He also said, The Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind.  Note another statement by Babylon's king:

"I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised by eyes toward heaven, and my reason returned to me and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever;  For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom endures from generation to generation.  And all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, but He does according to His will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of earth; and no one ward off His hand or says to Him, 'What have You done?' . . . Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride." (cf Daniel 2:47; 4:34-37)

I love it when people try to explain other's thinking for them.  All of the reasons they give for one not believing the same as they do.  When one quotes a lot of half truths, they still don't all add up to the full truth which will not be revealed while in the physical planes of existence.  It's a cop out to think that Jesus came to relieve us of our sins.  We are all already forgiven, however, there is a spiritual law that states that we must pay for every action.  For every action there is a reaction.  Some call it Karma for lack of a better word.  If you don't pay for it in this lifetime, you'll have to come back either to this planet or another similar to it with a comparable state of consciouseness until you get it worked out.  We are soul, when this physical body is no longer able to function, we'll step out of it into our astral body and live there until it is time to move on and try another round.  Once one has experienced that light that Saul of Tarsus was struck with on the road to (I believe) Damascus one will have experienced eternity and know that this is a world of illusion and look forward to the glorys of the higher worlds.  Until one has personal experience in the higher worlds out of the body, one can only believe or hope it is true.  The fact is, Nelg, Markinsa, Ponoboy & all the rest of us are children of God.  We are all eternal just as Jesus and Buddha and probably a host of other spiritual masters that don't come to mind now.  There is certainly no question in my mind of the love of these masters for they have come to this planet to assist each of us in our spiritual journey.  I think the main difference in them and us is their capacity to love is so much greater than ours. To say that there is only one way to get to heaven is stating that God in finite.  God is nothing, yet is everything is made up of it.  God is here now folks, one just has to recognize it.  Go read your Bible folks, Jesus says he can do nothing only thru him does God work.  I forget where it is that state he said these things that I do ye can do greater  (thru the Father?).  I'm sure I'm not saying it just right, but you get the jist of it.  As far as God having only one son, (really?).  I don't mean to be confrontational but (wait, I'm not going to say!)  Anybody that has more than one child knows you may like the way one acts better than the other but you love them all equally.  What parent would blast one of their children to hell if that child did what that child felt like it should do in good faith even if the parent felt like it was a mistake?  I certainly wouldn't. Is there anybody who thinks God's love is less than there's?  Fortunately, we have lots of religions on this planet and if one will look hard enough I'm sure one will find one that fits one's state of consciousness.  Some don't need that formal mold and find their way without it.  Well, here's to all of you with love!!  P. S.  The Bible is certainly a wonderful book for one to use as a guide for their personal spiritual life but it becomes a powerful weapon for the negative force when one uses it to try to tell others how they should live!  Gary2

This is from Paul (Saul of Tarsus)

Romans 1:14-20 (NLT)

14 For I have a great sense of obligation to people in both the civilized world and the rest of the world, to the educated and uneducated alike. 15 So I am eager to come to you in Rome, too, to preach the Good News.

16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
