IRAQ POISED TO BE OIL GIANT & AN ECONOMIC POWER, REPORTS NEW YORK TIMES: Consistent with Bible prophecy?

From the blogs from a prior poster/posting:

First of all, I don't claim to be a prophet of any sort. I'm simply basing my beliefs on extensive Biblical studies. It is of my opinion that, based on the cyclical patterns of the Bible, the Iraqi Dinar will be used by God to transfer wealth to His Church just as He had the Egyptians transfer their wealth to the Israelites in Exodus 12:35-36, "35 Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. 36 And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians." (NKJV). Just as the Egyptians were to have enslaved the Israelites, so too would the king of Babylon (antichrist per Isaiah 14) enslave the world. This is the connection. Currently, Babylon (Iraq) has no king. Which would make my assertion seem far fetched, to say the least. But, I contest that Iraqi government will continue to struggle in its ineptitude forcing it to seek out the leadership of HRH El Hassan bin Talal, the nephew of the late king Faisal ll. When we see this happening, then I feel that this RV will be near. El Hassan bin Talal generally works behind the scenes and it may be hard to see the influences he exerts, but they are there. Once this RV occurs, I implore my fellow Christians to use this money to spread the Good News and the Blessed Hope. Please do not use this money to buy yourself treasures of this earth, but use it to lay up treasures in heaven as the Lord has instructed in Matthew 6:19-21, "19 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (NKJV). The time we will be given to do this will be very short. The coming of the Lord is very near. Matthew 11:15

May God bless you all.

Another interesting one from the blogs:

Ancient Babylon is Iraq!

Babylon (Arabic: بابل‎, Babil; Akkadian: Bābili(m);[1] Sumerian logogram: KÁ.DINGIR.RAKI;[1] Hebrew: בָּבֶל, Bāvel;[1] Ancient Greek: Βαβυλών Babylṓn) was an Akkadian city-state (founded in 1894 BC by an Amorite dynasty) of ancient Mesopotamia, the remains of which are found in present-day Hillah, Babylon Province, Iraq, about 85 kilometres (53 mi) south of Baghdad. All that remains of the original ancient famed city of Babylon today is a large mound, or tell, of broken mud-brick buildings and debris in the fertile Mesopotamian plain between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. The city itself was built upon the Euphrates, and divided in equal parts along its left and right banks, with steep embankments to contain the river's seasonal floods.
Available historical resources suggest that Babylon was at first a small town which had sprung up by the beginning of the 3rd millennium BC. The town flourished and attained independence with the rise of the First Amorite Babylonian Dynasty in 1894 BC. Claiming to be the successor of the ancient city of Eridu, Babylon eclipsed Nippur as the "holy city" of Mesopotamia around the time an Amorite king named Hammurabi first created the short lived Babylonian Empire; this quickly dissolved upon his death and Babylon spent long periods under Assyrian, Kassite and Elamite domination. Babylon again became the seat of the Neo-Babylonian Empire from 608 to 539 BC which was founded by Chaldeans and whose last king was an Assyrian. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. After the fall of Babylon it came under the rules of the Achaemenid, Seleucid, Parthian, Roman and Sassanid empires.

The Apostle John was given a peek into the future. He wrote it down and it is called the Book of Revelation. In it, John, describes the condition of Babylon in the last days and how its rise affected the whole world.

Revelation 18:16:“…That great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!” 18:18 “…What city is like unto this great city!” 18:19 “Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich….” 18:23 “…Thy merchants were the great men of the earth…”

It is prophesied that Iraq will be rich once again and will make all kings, nations, and merchants rich because of her riches.

Revelation 18:3 “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.” 18:9 “And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her…” 18:15 “The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her…”

It even describes Babylon’s(Iraq) exports and ISX, (Iraqi Stock Exchange).

Rev. 18:12-13:

“The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, and cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.”

We are now standing at the edge of the beginnings of these things. Those of us who hold the Iraqi Dinar are about to enjoy the blessing of that which “hath been” becoming that which “shall be”.

The Children of GOD who are invested in this incredible last days blessing will be made rich along with unbelievers who are also invested. “It rains on the good and bad alike.” And this is okay, as long as we use this miracle of wealth for the Glory of GOD and with the wisdom HE gives us. That is not to say GOD does not want us to enjoy it, but “Seek HIM and HIS Kingdom first” with it, and “All these things shall be added unto you”.

Know also there will be a time when GOD calls HIS children out of Iraq and the things of it.

Rev. 18:4:

“Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins…”

GOD has provided for us to be apart of this blessing, while at the same time staying out of the “fornications” of this world. Just like the Children of Israel being given the “Promised Land”, GOD warned them not to become like the peoples that were living there.

This will be a GREAT Blessing, and it is a Blessing from GOD.

Know this.

GOD does not Bless us with a curse, and does not curse us with a blessing.

However, it is up to us how we use it. It is up to us if we give the enemy, the devil a hand in it. We can allow the enemy to steal it from us, or we can plant it in “GOOD” ground and reap an hundred fold.

Gen. 26:12:

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the SAME year an hundredfold and the LORD blessed him.”

The LORD longs to bless us the same way. We are HIS Children.

Enjoy this Blessing and know that GOD has foreseen it for such a time as this and has chosen us to be a part of it.

What Does Bible Prophecy Say About Iraq

04 Aug 2011 10 Comments

by Marcus Curtisin World Economics

What does biblical Prophecy say about Iraq? Are we living in the last days? Is Iraq one of the nations talked about concerning the end times? What about Iran? What role will they play in Iraq, Israel, and the end times? This is going to be a different kind of post. This post will focus on Iraq and biblical prophecy,

First let me give you a brief background on biblical prophecy and how it works. The bible is not one book that was written about 2,000 years ago, Although, this is the main view-point of a lot of people. If you were to do a little digging you will discover that the bible is a collection of books that were written over a period of 2000 years. Five of those books have a time frame of 3500 years ago. For example, Jeremiah is a little over 3000 years old. So the bible was written in a time frame of about 2100 years in three languages on three different continents. It contains 66 books by over 34 different authors. Wow right? But it gets better

There is 400 years of silence between the Old and New Testament. From Malachi to Mathew is 400 years. During this time books were written, but none were found worthy to be included in the bible. The books written in this period are called the Apocrypha. When the last book of the Old Testament was written (Malachi) Persia was the ruling empire. In that 400 year time frame Greece conquers Persia, Greece is divided 4 ways among four generals. Rome conquers Greece. King Herod Conquers Israel. Herod rebuilds Jerusalem and the temple in Jerusalem. Then John the Baptist is born, and Jesus is born breaking 400 years of silence.

Every nation the Greeks conquered was forced to learn the Greek language and culture. This was known as Hellenism. The Greek lifestyle, culture and language is Hellenism. The Jews want an old testament written in Greek. Most Jews at this point speak some Hebrew for ceremonial reasons. Much like a catholic speaks Latin. Most all Jews at this point are fluent in Greek. In 285 BC The Septuagint version of the Old Testament is commissioned. It was finished in 270 BC. It is called the Septuagint meaning 70. Seventy scholars translated this version. Later on the early church used the Septuagint for their Old Testament scriptures.

There are 300 prophecies concerning Christ’s first coming. This is according to a cataloging done by barns, (Biblical commentary) every prophecy concerning Jesus including his birth, life, and death by crucifixion was prophesied and in Greek by 270 BC in the Septuagint. Every one of them came to pass!! This is an amazing thing to consider. Christ’s death was described before Rome was in power and crucifixion was even invented as a means of capital punishment. This is in Greek 300 hundred years before it even took place! For me the most amazing prophecy is a prophecy which predicts the very day the messiah presents himself to Jerusalem. This is found in the book of Daniel. The fulfillment of this is found in Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.

Luk 19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

Luk 19:38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

Luk 19:39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

Luk 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Is it any wonder that the very rocks would cry out?! Christians celebrate this day known as palm Sunday, but it was predicted in the bible well over 500 years before the events took place, and this prophecy found in Daniel told the very day it would happen. Daniel predicts this and other events with such accuracy that critics of the bible say that the book of Daniel was written after all the events it describes happened. The only problem with this is Daniel is among the books found in the Septuagint version of the Old Testament. This means the prophecy was around at least 300 years before the fulfillment. Daniel was really written around the time of Babylon. It was written throughout Daniels lifetime. This means that around 600 years before this event happened it was written in the book of Daniel. Every single prophecy in the Old testament concerning Jesus and his first coming came to pass! EVERY SINGLE ONE!! Do you know what the odds are for that to happen?

What is most interesting to me is that there are twice as many prophecies concerning the last days and the time we live today. The problem is there is a lot of false information about bible prophecy out there. People write books like 88 reasons why Jesus will come in 1988 and make bogus predictions that are not even backed up by the bible all in an effort to make monetary gain! This gives the bible a bad rap and in the end people wind up not believing the bible because of false teachers that rise up for a brief time. Faith is completely destroyed because of someone’s distortion of scripture. The true facts are all bible prophecy will be fulfilled. Every one will be completed just like everyone was completed in Jesus day!!

Now that you have a brief background of how prophecy works let me out line the major events that will happen. If I took the time to go into detail here I would be writing a very long book. This book would be the result of hours of research. You probably already feel like your ready a long-winded book. So I will try to keep the major events brief. Keep in mind for each of these events there is a long list of bible scripture. Whole books have been written covering these events, But I will not go into detail here. Perhaps some other time.

The first major event to happen is Israel will become a nation again. This happened on May 14 1948. In 70 AD Israel was destroyed by Titus from Rome, and Israel was driven into all the nations. 1878 years later Israel becomes a nation again. The second major event to happen is the emergence of a one world government. We have seen this already as well. George H Bush Announced “A new world order is coming into view.” This made the globalist agenda public for the first time. It is all over YouTube and you can Google it. Globalist and the move towards a one world government are going to succeed. The next major event is Israel will be at peace with all of its immediate neighbors. This is slowly happening with all the countries that border Israel. Egypt signed a peace agreement with Israel during the Carter administration. We invaded Iraq and now Iraq is at peace with Israel. Jordan is not a problem anymore. Israel will probably achieve peace from the sword. possibly a major battle will bring about peace. I know there is a long ways to go, but eventually Israel will at least be at peace with it’s immediate neighbors. Another major event to happen is the one world government will come to be, and they will locate a capital. more on this later. Another major event to happen is there will be a ruler arise and rule this one world government. Everyone knows him as the antichrist. The Old Testament in a number of places calls this one world ruler the Assyrian. Another event to happen will be something called the Day Of The Lord. This in itself is a very interesting study. It is found in several places in scripture.

Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Joe 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

This is just a few places in scripture that mark the day of the Lord. There are three notable events that happen here. The Sun is darkened. The moon turns to blood and does not give light like it use to. And there are no stars. This event marks the beginning of time when Gods wrath is poured out on the earth. Wow scary times indeed. Another event is the destruction of Babylon.

What? Wait a minute. Babylon destroyed? Now that is interesting for a few reasons, and this is the event that relates to Iraq. Babylon is found in Iraq 62 miles south of Bagdad. There is nothing there. So why is Babylon included in Gods wrath? Now that you have a basic background of end time events let me explain.

King Nebuchadnezzar ruled Babylon with an iron fist. It was an amazing empire. There was a river that runs through Babylon. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon is one of the ancient 7 wonders of the world. A few years after Nebuchadnezzar passed away Babylon was conquered by Persia. Persia conquered Babylon by going upstream and diverting the river and damming up the river. At night-time solders entered the city using the dried up river bed and killed the king and his men. A few days later people who lived there learned that Babylon was conquered WITHOUT a battle, and a new administration was in place. So Babylon was conquered without a battle. Alexander the Great Conquered Persia he made Babylon one of his capitals. Babylon was never defeated by siege or war. Some of the walls fell over due to age and disrepair. But the city itself never faced a time of war in history.

There are numerous scriptures that refer to a great destruction for Babylon. Nations will rise up against it. Since this event never happened it is logical to conclude that it is going to happen. Since there is nothing in Babylon and it is basically ancient ruins. It is logical to conclude that Babylon will be rebuilt. What about the gulf wars? Babylon was not a city that was occupied during those wars. Bagdad was the main headquarters. There were other cities that were the objective. Babylon was nothing but ancient ruins. This can only mean that the chapters that talk about the destruction of Babylon are yet to be fulfilled. Babylon will be rebuilt. And it will be a major city of notable importance. This means that in order to rebuild Babylon to this status it will take an investment from the international community. (NWO) The destruction of Babylon is found in Isaiah Chapters 13 and 14, Jeremiah Chapters 50 and 51, and revelations Chapters 17 and 18. Lets talk about a few highlights from those chapters.

Isa 13:1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

Isa 13:2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

Isa 13:3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

Isa 13:4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

Isa 13:5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

Isa 13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Isa 13:7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

Isa 13:8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Isa 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Isa 13:12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

Isa 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Notice the burden of Babylon, Notice the day of the lord verses 9 and 10. This puts this event in a last days scenario. In verse 11 the destruction of Babylon comes from God to punish the world for their evil.

Isa 13:17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

Isa 13:18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.

Isa 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Isa 13:20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

Isa 13:21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

The Medes are known today as the Kurds. They were part of the Persian empire and they ruled with Persia. Persia today is Iran. Notice that this is a real battle that will take place. There is nothing that is allegoric!!

Isa 14:4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

Isa 14:5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

Isa 14:6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

Ruled the nations? Apparently Babylon dominates a lot of kingdoms

Isa 14:9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

Isa 14:10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

Isa 14:11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Isa 14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

This is a dual reference. It talks about the original fall of Satan. It is also referring to the power behind the throne of Babylon, and another future judgment for Satan.

Isa 14:22 For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.

Isa 14:23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.

Isa 14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

Isa 14:25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

The Antichrist is also referred to as the Assyrian. No one will rebuild in Babylon. And no one will live there ever again after this coming destruction.

Jer 50:1 The word that the LORD spake against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet.

Jer 50:2 Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.

Jer 50:3 For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.

Here we see another prophet talk about the coming destruction of Babylon.

Jer 50:9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

Jer 50:10 And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the LORD.

Jer 50:11 Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;

Jer 50:12 Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

Jer 50:13 Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

Jer 50:14 Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD.

Jer 50:15 Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.

Jer 50:16 Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.

Nations rise against Babylon out of the north. They don’t come from the east or west like America. Both gulf wars started from the south. Babylon destroyed the heritage of the Lord. Once again this prophet declares Babylon will become desolate. Verse 9 says their arrows shall be as a mighty expert man. none shall return in vain. Notice that the skill of the arrow is not in the shooter. It is not in the launcher which the bible calls a bow. The skill of the arrow is in the arrow itself. The arrow has knowledge of the target and every arrow hits the intended target. This kind of sounds like the guided missiles we have today.

Jer 50:29 Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.

Jer 50:30 Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD.

Jer 50:31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.

Jer 50:32 And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.

Jer 50:33 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.

Jer 50:34 Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

Jer 50:35 A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.

Major war is coming. This has not happened in history as of yet, but it will happen.

Jer 50:39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.

Jer 50:40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.

Jer 50:41 Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

Jer 50:42 They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not shew mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.

This is similar to Isaiah’s prophecies.

Jer 51:6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

Jer 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

Jer 51:8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.

Jer 51:9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.

Does this sound familiar? This is very much like the prophecies found in revelations about the destruction of Babylon.

Jer 51:11 Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

Jer 51:12 Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.

Once again the Medes are the Kurds today. The Vengeance of his temple is an interesting remark. The day of the Lord and the destruction of Babylon both occur after something called the Abomination of Desolation. This is found in Daniel chapter 9.

Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great ***** that sitteth upon many waters:

Rev 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

If you read certain prophecy books they will declare this woman to be the Catholic Church. I just laid out a future destruction of a city that is yet to be rebuilt. After Babylon is rebuilt it will play a major role in end time events.

Rev 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

In the last days this city will reign over the kingdoms of the earth.

Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Rev 18:6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

Rev 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Rev 18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

The destruction of Babylon comes quick. Chapter 18 aligns with what is said in Isaiah and Jeremiah. It is interesting to note that Saddam spent the last 20 years of his reign rebuilding the ancient city of Babylon. He even built a palace there. I just quoted several places in scripture that says after the destruction of Babylon no one will ever dwell in Babylon again. Right now there is nothing of major importance in Babylon. Download Google earth and see for yourself.

Conclusion

So this is what I believe. This is only my personal opinion and conclusion to this matter. Iraq will rebuild and find more oil much more oil. Babylon will be rebuilt. Bagdad will remain the capital of Iraq. The one world government will become strong and it will make Babylon its capital. The UN and all its world branches will relocate to Babylon. Babylon will become the capital of the antichrist/Assyrian and the one world government.

Some of this may sound outlandish, but it is not my opinion, but just anothers view, research and opinion here, but interesting....

A New World Order In Iraq!

The Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Morgans, Aldrichs, Warburgs, and Lizzards. are all part of this. Just to name a few families involved. The IMF is a branch of the UN. All the land where the UN is today was donated by the Rockefeller family. David Rockefeller sits on the Council of foreign relations (CFR) also a branch of the UN. The UN was called the league of nations until they changed their name after world war 2. The families mentioned above are just some of the global elites that pull the strings of these organizations behind the curtain. The main function of AP and Reuters is the same message in the wizard of OZ. “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain”

More on the Builderbergs and what are they up too?

The name builderberg is named after the name of the hotel where this group first met. They basically work the financial arm of an emerging one world government.

Soros is heavily involved in this as well.

These global elite also worship a false god called Molech at a place in northern California called Bohemian Grove.

They practice a ritual called the cremation of care. It is interesting to note that Molech is actually a Babylonian god also know as The Owl god

This is among some of the strangest stuff that surfaced during my research. Remember the post I made about bible prophecy? In it I said that Babylon will be rebuilt, and that it will become the capital of world governments? Now it appears that the UN is not as secure as people thought.

It is interesting to see what has come out as a result of wiki leaks. As a result of the US using the United Nations to spy on other governments, it would not surprise me if in the near future The United Nations would move it’s headquarters. and If I were to guess where they would move I would say ummmm Babylon. Today Babylon is being rebuilt. It is also in the center of the oil supply in the middle east. Before you get to excited about this let me say this is only my opinion.

Here are some interesting news articles as well

Regular readers of this weblog and my books know that Bible prophecy says the ancient city of Babylon, Iraq will be rebuilt and become the greatest center of wealth, commerce and power in the “last days” of history. The books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Revelation are explicit on this subject. Skeptics and cynics abound, to be sure, but the fact is Babylon is being rebuilt right now, in part with U.S. taxpayer funds. Iraqi leaders hope that eventually millions of tourists will come to visit, and real progress is being made. Consider today’s edition of Stars & Stripes, a U.S. military publication. They have a fascinating story this morning headlined: “U.S., Iraqi experts developing plan to preserve Babylon, build local tourism industry.”

Excerpts:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/2281934/posts

    • Soldiers with the 172nd Infantry Brigade are exploring the ruins as part of a U.S.-Iraqi effort to preserve the ancient city and plan for the return of Western tourists.
    • Members of the brigade’s 2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment escorted a group of U.S. heritage tourism experts to the ruins last week for the first of several visits to develop a preservation and tourism plan for the area. U.S. and coalition troops have been criticized in the past for damaging and contaminating artifacts. In a 2006 report, the head of the British Museum’s Near East department said that, among other things, military vehicles crushed a 2,600-year-old brick pavement, and sand and archeological fragments were used to fill military sandbags. Now the rapidly improving security situation in surrounding Babil province has persuaded the U.S. State Department and the Iraqi State Board of Antiquities and Heritage to embark on the preservation project, dubbed the Future of Babylon Project.
    • The State Department and the World Monuments Fund have committed $700,000 to the project, which will see U.S. and Iraqi experts develop a plan to preserve the site and develop a local tourism industry, said Diane Siebrandt, the U.S. embassy’s cultural heritage officer. The Babylon project is one of several that the State Department is involved in to conserve ancient sites in partnership with the Iraqi government, she said.
    • Two people with expertise developing tourism plans for historic sites in third-world nations, Gina Haney and Jeff Allen, have been employed by the State Department to run the U.S. side of the project. They visited the ruins for the first time last weekend. Haney said the pair will involve the local community in the plan’s development, as they did with a similar project encouraging Western tourists to visit Ghana’s Gold Coast. “You could throw money at it and do all this work, but unless you can create a sustainable situation, your opportunities for tourism will run out,” Allen said. “The idea is to develop something that is going to be here 30 to 40 years from now and has benefits for the local people. We don’t want something that will only benefit outsiders.”
    • The Iraqi government will be involved in the planning as well. “If you have 200,000 people a year coming to this site, you will have people staying at hotels, visiting restaurants, buying souvenirs,” Allen said. “The site is in some ways a revenue generator for the local community.” Babylon could be comparable to the Egyptian pyramids, which draw millions of tourists each year. But the area lacks the tourist infrastructure that has been built at sites such as the pyramids, he said. “There is nothing for tourists here, but if you interpret and present it in the right way, you can spark interest,” he said.
    • Allen, who has experience designing walkways and signs for other heritage sites, said detailed planning won’t happen until authorities have worked out how best to preserve the ruins. The crumbling rocks of the original city are surrounded by more elaborate and modern fortifications, including a maze-like collection of interior walls built on top of genuine ruins during Saddam Hussein’s time.
    • “Some of the past restoration work hasn’t been very good,” he said. “Saddam was trying to inherit the power of the ancients and continue that legacy. His restoration methods helped reinforce that vision of himself, and he created a pattern of restoration and repair work that benefited a certain agenda.”

Last month, a British art publication had a story headlined, “Controversial move to reopen Babylon: State board of antiquities and heritage believes site needs more protection.” The story indicated that Babylon would be open for tourists on June 1st. Another recent story out of Taiwan noted that a Taiwanese tour agency is starting to take people to Iraq to tour — among other things — the city of Babylon as it is being rebuilt.

As Iraq becomes increasingly stable and secure, direct foreign investment is going to flood in, and Iraq will become the wealthiest country on the planet. Exxon Mobil, the world’s largest company, for example, is positioning itself to become a major investor in the Iraqi energy sector. Other major oil companies are doing the same. The Iraqi government in recent months has been developing investment incentive packages to draw in such companies. And this week, such energy companies will actually begin bidding for licenses to develop Iraq’s immense but badly atrophied oil exploration, drilling, and refining industry. Consider, for example, this headline from the Associated Press: “World’s big oil companies prepare for return to Iraq.” And this is just the beginning.

Skeptics take note: the Bible is coming true, one prophecy at a time.

Political Babylon to be Rebuilt
on the Euphrates in the Tribulation

The announcement of the fall of Babylon in chapter 18 which comes immediately after the destruction of the harlot in chapter 17, causes many to think that these are one and the same event. However, there are several things which show they are two different events, though described in similar terms. We have here the fall of religious Babylon followed later by the fall of political and commercial Babylon.

(1) The woman of chapter 17 is made desolate, naked, and burned with fire by the beast with the ten horns, whereas the fall of chapter 18 is accomplished directly by God at the end of the Tribulation (cf. 16:19-21). The fall of religious Babylon (chapter 17) occurs when the beast assumes his religious role in the middle of the Tribulation and assumes world political power. The world apostate ecumenical system is destroyed in favor of the new world religion which worships the political dictator of chapter 13 whose capitol city will be in rebuilt Babylon.

The destruction of Babylon in chapter 18 should be compared with the preceding announcement in 16:19 where the great city is divided and the cities of the Gentiles fall. This event comes late in the great Tribulation, just prior to the second coming of Christ, in contrast to the destruction of the harlot of chapter 17 which seems to precede the great Tribulation and paves the way for the worship of the beast (13:8).206

(2) The context of chapter 18 with its many references to the kings and merchants and commerce shows that, in this setting, Babylon is viewed in her political, economic, and commercial character, rather than in her religious role (vss. 11-19).

(3) As Walvoord suggests,

The term “Babylon” in Scripture is more than a reference to the false religious system which stemmed from ancient Babylon. Out of ancient Babylon came the political power represented first in Nimrod and later in Nebuchadnezzar in his great world empire. In some sense this is continued in the commercial system which came from both the religious and political Babylons. It seems that chapter 17 deals with the religious aspect and chapter 18 with the political and economic aspects of Babylon.207

Both aspects have continued down through the centuries. For an Old Testament reference to the commercial aspect, see the vision of the woman with the ephah (a sign of commerce) in Zechariah 5:5-11).

(4) Walvoord points out another significant difference which suggests we have two different aspect of Babylon in chapters 17 and 18.

According to verse 9 the kings of the earth as well as the merchants will all mourn the passing of the Babylon of chapter 18. There is apparently no mourning connected with the destruction of the woman in chapter 17.208

The ten horns and the beast hate the woman (17:16). This would strongly suggest we have two distinct destructions. All of this indicates that the Babylon of chapter 18 is a city that will be rebuilt as the capitol of the world empire in the great Tribulation period and that Babylon in this chapter refers to ancient Babylon which is to be rebuilt rather than to Rome.

Some argue against the rebuilding of Babylon and claim that we must not take the references to Babylon in Revelation too literally. They say this chapter refers to a spiritual Babylon, a city which will become the incarnation of ancient Babylon, but will not be a literal Babylon. They maintain Babylon has already been destroyed and Old Testament prophecy teaches us it will never be rebuilt. But let’s consider some prophetic facts about Babylon.

(1) The Bible predicts the destruction of Babylon will be final and complete (Jer. 50:35, 39-40; Isa. 13:1, 19-22). These verses show that it will no more be inhabited and that its destruction will be as Sodom and Gomorrah with absolutely nothing left (Jer. 51:24-26).

(2) Scripture also predicts that the destruction would be sudden, quick (Jer. 51:8).

(3) The Old Testament predicts this destruction will come in the “Day of the Lord” (Isa. 13:6-11; 13:1; 14:1-3; Jer. 50:1-6).

(4) At the time of her destruction there will be a disturbance in the sun and moon (Isa. 13:10).

(5) Universal peace will result from the overthrow of Babylon (Isa. 14:7-8).

(6) A literal interpretation of Zechariah 5:5-11 demands a restored and rebuilt Babylon. These verses involve the vision of the ephah. A woman called “wickedness” is seen sitting in an ephah measure, covered with a round piece of lead. An ephah to a Jew was a perfect symbol of commerce and was the largest dry measure of the Jews. The ephah is then borne away by two women with wings of a stork “to build for it an house in the land of Shinar” (the land of Babylon). This vision anticipates a final concentration of wickedness and commercialism in a great center in the land of Shinar (Babylon) which would reach out over the whole earth. This is the exact portrayal of Babylon as seen in Revelation 18.

(7) The historical situation concerning Babylon shows much of the prophecies mentioned above have not been fulfilled and must await a final and complete fulfillment. The prophecies regarding Babylon are an illustration of dual reference with a partial (near) fulfillment versus a complete (far) fulfillment.

When the Medes and Persians conquered the city they came suddenly and gained immediate control, but they did not destroy the city. Instead Cyrus the Mede beautified the city in 540 B.C. Hundreds of years later many Jews still lived at Babylon and a Jewish Talmud actually originated from there. In the twelfth century A.D. Babylon had grown and several mosques had been erected. Later a city by the name of Hillah was built there and in 1900 it had a population of ten thousand. The land around Babylon is fertile today and dates are grown in abundance (Isa. 13:21f).

Other cities around the area of Babylon were built from the ruins of ancient Babylon; in fact the city of Hillah was built entirely from the ruins of Babylon. Bricks with the word “Babylon” stamped on them have been found as far away as Bagdad.

It is obvious from this historical information that the city was not destroyed suddenly nor completely. Instead, it continued to be inhabited after it was conquered and the land around her did not become desolate, but continued to be populated and fertile. This is a fact of history. Her ruins were used in building other cities and there was no disturbance in the sun or moon, nor did universal peace follow.

The Word of God is true and these prophecies still await a future fulfillment.

The description of Babylon’s destruction in Revelation 18 declares it will be destroyed suddenly (“in one day her plagues will come” [vs. 8]; “for in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste” [vs. 17]). The destruction will be complete and final, “it shall be found no more at all” (Jer. 51:63-64); “So will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer” (Rev. 18:21). Babylon will be destroyed with fire from heaven as God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah (Rev. 18:18; 16:17-21). Universal peace will follow the destruction.

All of this coincides exactly with the prophecies of the Old Testament and shows that Babylon must be rebuilt in the Tribulation in order to be destroyed as prophesied in “the Day of the Lord.”

Rome may well be the religious Babylon of the world in the first half of the Tribulation, but I am convinced that Babylon on the Euphrates will be rebuilt and will be the political and commercial capitol in the last half of the Tribulation.

Americans profited after the American Revolution too...should they have?...After every war, there were always profits made by some!...And many innocent people died in all wars!...all things like that are bad...no matter what the agenda's are behind a war...It would be wonderful if there never ever was another war again...but that is not possible with Satan at the helm..but, God allows things to a certain degree...and I'm sure he punishes many for their deeds in these type scenarios, as per the slaughter of innocent people, just like the martyrs that die, that work for God's cause...as that will never end either...at least until it is all over and the return of Christ happens.....

The bottom line: With or without wars.....Gods will will prevail and manifest...however it may come...and if there are profits from war..dont the same evil ones who perpetrated the wars make a profit...so, with that said, if some do good with profits, as long as legitimately made and acquired...cannot this make a difference in the world for the better...and/or even possibly deter another war, or at least possibly delay it, as per the intercession of the saints and christians, through their prayers and doing good...as all the bad that is out there...is for the most part funded from the evil one...satan...

I think it's time the righteous stood up...and with resources...to reach the world before it's all over...just as the bible mentions...

4aprofit, don't believe everything you read that has a biblical reference.  Some people quote many passages that are taken from their context, plus their interpretive skills are lacking.  What you have posted is way off and is not what those Scriptures teach.  The writer is limited to what they have "heard" or was "taught" but not what they have discovered from studying the Bible; otherwise he would not make such outlandish and flagrant misapplication of biblical texts.

Which again ain't no new thing. Has been going on since  the beginning of Planet Earth. Nothing to be surprised about. Unfortunately.

Do you not know that there is not even a sparrow falls to the ground without our God knowing about it....Everything here on earth was put here for us to use to live, to survive, the help one another with....and you say whats God got to do with it. If you ever come to the point in your life where you are about to draw your last breath or your in deep trouble don't cry out to God, OH,,,, wait that what everyone does then they forget who he is. If you don't know him by all means get to know him.

WOW I just noticed that all these people posting these negative remarks about God or Jesus or anything with Christian content jumps against it.....but they are a new crop because they have just a few posts.....forgive them for God will deal with them soon....On more thing most of us understand that it is the Lord that giveth and the Lord will take it away from you just as quick......Please keep in mind that if you are not deserving of this blessing and will to do right with it, he may just make sure that you loose your wealth pretty quick thru many means.   Been around a lot of years and seen this very thing.....don't say I didn't warn you.

Proverbs 10:22. The blessing of the Lord...it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow to it!

Psalms 68:18. Blessed be the Lord, who loadeth me daily with benefits, even the God of our salvation!

We could list hundreds of scripture that assures us that, yes...the Lord has EVERYTHING to do with this!! "The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous!! If you study it out, you will find that the Garden of Eden was located right in the area that today, we call Iraq! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but i truly hope that people would take time to read..and educate themselves before they exclude God from this!! I for one, dont guess...but KNOW that this is indeed a blessing of the Lord straight from the windows of Heaven!! Those who receive and use it for its intended purpose will prosper!! Those who use it for the desires and lusts of this world...wont have it long!! God bless each of you!!!

God will be involved in the things that you allow him to be. If you put your Faith in him through your finances he will bless you. If you trust him for a healing he will heal you. Dont limit God, your mind can't even conceive what

he is capable of doing in your life.

I agree with you to a point Steveflex7 :)

I've been in some rough spots in my life and through faith and always doing my best... I have always had whatever I needed during those times.

I however... do not pray for riches as I feel that is not God's priority for us and that is not what his teachings are about.

Also if what you say is true... why hasn't God made every "Good Christian" fabulously rich... the ones who HAVE prayed for riches?

Anything that tells you Jesus is not the ONLY way to get to heaven is Satanic.  Satan is the master deceiver and he will use anything he can to keep you from the eternal life God has promised you.  Jesus came into this world to take the punishment for the Sins of Mankind so that we would be saved through him, and it is ONLY through him that we will get to God the Father.

That's absolute truth in a world that says there are no absolutes.

WOW I never thought there would be so much response to my post. I.M.O this world would be a MUCH better place if all these religious fanatics would try to be more spiritual. Excuse me for saying this, Christians are the worst! Why do they all think

there's is the only true belief and all others are the work of the devil? The bible is a marvelous history book. It wasn't written by god. GOD cant write. It was written by man, many men. DO you believe everything you read? By the way, I don't recall anything written by Jesus, only secondhand hearsay hocus pocus hallucinations.
