This could lead to civil war very easily. Waiting till 2014 a long ways away. A lot can happen between now and then and may go completely against us.

Agree. The biggest worry is retaliation by the Iraqi protesters for being kill for peacful demonstration. This could lead to civil war.

Kuwait cannot release anyone from Chapter 7 . Only the UN has the power to do that . Kuwait can Expect the UN to release Iraq from Chap 7 when they choose to. The disinformation campaign has started

Good point. The RV may be imminent. Disinformation may be a way to get IQD holders to take a sucker rate.

Chapter VII includes Articles 39-51.

They pertain to: ACTION WITH RESPECT TO THREATS TO THE PEACE, BREACHES OF THE PEACE, AND ACTS OF AGGRESSION

The UN will not release them until there is PEACE and SECURITY, period.

Peace & security will happen once somebody grows a pair & finds a way to get rid of Maliki & Iran meddling.

Not to sound negative, but Iraq will never have peace or a strong security. Insurgents will always embed themselves inside the police and military.

Agree somewhat. Iraq is stable by Middle East standards. It has a ways to go but we can't compare it with Western standards.

I agree with you 100%. That's pretty much what I meant I just didn't word it that way.

Absolutely..Also Kuwait is not blocking them from emerging from Ch 7, from what I've read and believe, it is to their benefit as well. Major issues have already been overcome to reach this point.

In a way they do because the last couple of issues needing to be resolved (land disputes and compensation for past issues with Iraq) are dealing with Kuwait.....

Agree. Once Kuwait is satified, the UN will move from that time on. Kuwait is still the key to C7.

On another note...DFI funds transfered back to Iraq & int'l banking codes released. These are rumors still. C7 in 2014 may just be disinformation before the big event. We may see something when the UN updates the int'l exchange rates on 1 May. Obama balances the budget. First time in 5 yrs. He is to make a speach on May 1st.
