LIBoy Posted April 23, 2013 Report Share Posted April 23, 2013 Associated Press' Twitter Account Hacked The Associated Press' official Twitter account was hacked Tuesday, the organization confirmed. Shortly after 1 p.m. ET, the account tweeted out a false report saying that there had been two explosions at the White House and President Barack Obama was injured. The AP's account has since been suspended. Get the scoop on 39 must-watch finales The AP's media relations account quickly tweeted: "That is a bogus @AP tweet." Unfortunately, by the time the hack was exposed, the AP's Dow Jones stock had already dropped 140 points; it has since returned to its original standing. The Syrian Electronic Army has taken credit for the hack, tweeting that it "owned" the AP, along with the hashtag #ByeByeObama.
