greeneyedlady
I always look at the local newspaper in Iraq, web sight is:http://www.almadapaper.net/ar/At the bottom left of the page today, I saw this:Iraqi dinar exchange rate for today, 4/15/2013:$ 0.9Euro: 0.7British pound: 0.6Lebanese pound: 1292.1KD: 0.2SR: 3.2AED: 3.2JD: 0.6According to the conversion table, they have revalued, 1000:1 Is this correct? TLHUBER
I thought it was always 0.9.

Boozer
Is it in English
greeneyedlady
I thought it was always 0.9. On more than one occasion, all of them have been -0-'ed out. I went to a currency converter, and put in 1000 iqd, and it converted exactly the figures stated. Is it in English No, but binged it.
coolbeans
Wow....that looks real That would be 1 IQD = .90 cents US
Tuck
Perhaps the paper's server is busy, but I cannot get the exchange rate to translate into English. The balance of the page is translated.

Darin
The more important, yet better question, is this something new (that has changed?) If it was new, you think from a media perspective catering to that region, the information would have been more wide spread
Boozer
I just looked and see 1135. But most have not updated.
Tankwalker
Hello all, I am new to DV but have been enjoying posts and articles for some time. I do not usually post on any of the forums but when I saw this I thought I should let you all know before anyone gets too excited that this has been on this site for quite some time.... 1-18-13 Winalot: OMG!!!!! i think i just found something!!!! Iraqi dinar exchange rate for the day Dollar: 0.9 Euro: 0.6 Pounds: 0.5 LBP: 1292.3 KD: 0.2 SR: 3.2 AED: 3.2 JD: 0.6 . yesterday, same paper - 1166. That looks like an RV to me!!!!!! That would be the in country rate. They will get their bump from purchase POWER. They will not see $3 on country. I don't know why it displays it like this but like I said it has for a while now.

greeneyedlady
I went to coinmill.com and entered 1166, and no match, then I tried 1000 and they matched. That sight is up to date for 4/15/2013 Edited April 15, 2013 by greeneyedlady 2

ReVbo
I'm confused is it 1 iqd is .90 cents or 1000:1 What Nate said. If this is a conversion of 1000 dinars, it's what we're used to. If it's 1 dinar=$.90, well...
coolbeans
All the other currencies convert to that same higher amount correctly with the exception of the SR would be showing a slight upward revaluation also.

greeneyedlady
In the conversion table I put 1000 iqd, not 1. The LBP can spot on @ 1292.1 This is why I asked if I was reading it wrong.. I apologize and appreciate the correction.
