Al-Maliki: electricity will be available around the clock this year

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki Monday that electricity will be available to citizens on the clock during the current year, said Iraq needed for Korean companies.


He said Al-Maliki during Iraq business and investment forum, held at the Rashid Hotel in Baghdad, "Iraq will provide electricity for citizens around the clock during the year 2013," adding that "save energy does not mean that Iraq need for new production capacities which, we hope, the Korean companies.

Al-Maliki said that "Iraq need successful companies such as Korean companies to build power plants and other projects in the country,"

Stating that "the Korean companies were able to compete with major international companies also has technical precision as well as abide by its commitments in the implementation of the projects on time.

The Sadrists, said on Sunday that positive signs are not on the level of processing power by next summer, as revealed recently opened stations inability to supply the system with electricity.

The Ministry renewed, (28 March 2013), its commitment to the undertakings providing electric power, and in the summer of 2013 will be the last resort citizens for private generators, called to resolve the crisis of excess loads and squatter, the Ministry also announced (26 March 2013), a surplus of 1,000 MW in the production of the national electricity system.

Iraq reportedly suffering an acute shortage of electricity since the beginning of 1990, and increased electricity rationing after hours in 2003 in Baghdad and other provinces, due to the many stations, as well as sabotage against vital installations during the past years.

Sure it will.....they will believe it when they see it.  Maybe it's going to RV and the folks will pay for their own.  Who knows.  There is no reason they could not have done this by now.  Too busy stealing the wealth than to build it for the citizens.

I agree....actions speak louder than words.  No person in their right mind would believe that anything good comes out of Malarki's mouth.
