Goes alot further back than Bush my friends. Think of the Donkey with the carrot dangling just beyond its nose to keep it moving forward. Add to that, at least 100 + years of Progressive Politics, beginning with Teddy Roosevelt, then really pushing " Forward " with Woody Wilson a True Progressive: you have what we have today.

You infiltrate the Education System to gradually dumb down the populace. [ 'Course the Illegal Immigration issue a a Big + for Progressive. Huge voter block and tips the balance in Favor of the Dems'].

The scene where Dorothy and her 3 companions are talking with the Great & Powerfull Oz, trembling under the booming voice. The dog pulls back the curtain revealing the true "OZ" ( an admitted fraud later in the scene ) working the machine. " Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain ".One of the best examples of what we all have been on the recieving end of for a long time. Flim Flam at its' finest.

We've been getting sold a bill goods to keep all of us distracted while the backroom deals have been slowly eroding our freedoms & rights. Now, enough of us are on to their BS. SSoo, Homeland Security puts it out there that these are the guidelines the list the person (s) classified as " a Danger to the US" . . .  [ remember that folks ? ] . . . because we dare to disagree with the Totalitarian Regime that is now in power.

The American Dream was stolen from us long before any of us were even born. We've been living with the illusion of that dream. All the while the dream stealers in Gov't have been secretly and now right in your face bleeding us and the country WHITE.

This IMO is a boiled down version. All who think I'm a Crackpot Nutjob. Read the Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx. Read George Orwell's " Animal Farm " Open your eyes, most of you already have.

The American dream can still be had if someone is willing to break away from the employee mindset and start their own business. Listen to this college kid talking about being his own boss, I love it. If you like what he says, message me.

Haha shabs good one! I remember back when that earthquake hit the northeast a few years ago, when an email was going around that claimed it was Bush's fault. It was really funny. Did you ever see that?

Henry Ford

Before the automobile we lived with our family's in what could be described as tribes .

We were held accountable for our actions by  our elders and extended family's.

With the invention of the automobile we begin to leave these family units and the accountability these units had.

When we left we did not have to account to any one except ourselves and we can justify almost anything in our own minds.

As long as we didn't run afoul of the local law everything was just peachy keen

Ford did not invent the automobile, or the assembly line......however, he perfected both.  He actually had to get permission to build his cars from a group that held most patents of the day......sorry that group's name eludes me.   :peace:  So in all actuality, Ford had to get permission to chase his American dream.

Here is the root of the problem as expressed by a Congressman in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask Your forgiveness and to seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good,," but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We confess:

We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism.

We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism.

We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us to the center of your will. I ask it in the Name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ.

Amen.

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest. In six short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa, and Korea.

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on "The Rest of the Story" on the radio and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired.

With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called one nation under God.

THIS IS WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO THE AMERICAN DREAM....as Alexis De Tocqville opined America is great because America is good and if she ever ceases to be good ...she will cease to be great.....

put another way....."....woe unto you when you call good evil and evil good..."   Isaiah 5:20

Shabs, Sentinel didn't say Ford invented the automobile, the quote just is stating that since it was invented, society has changed. In my opinion, for the worse.

Yes KK.....I understood what he was saying.  The fact that we are discussing it on the internet is funny though......rather than by horseback mail carrier.  When should we have outlawed technology?  And how would we have prevented other countries from inventing such things?......and then those things spreading to this country.  I guess the same could be said for Edison, Bell and any other inventor that tried to make life easier for generations to come.  Sounds kind of silly, don't you think?

Technology is wonderful, Shabs! The sad part is the bit about families moving so far away from each other. Of my 8 living children, they are spread over 3 states. I see my grandchildren once a year. My mother lives across the country from me, my Dad 4 states away. I have sisters-in-law in 2 OTHER states and a brother-in-law in yet another! I wish it was like the old days when the majority of the family lived in a tribal type environment, within the same town, anyway, if not the same state. Youth benefit from older generations being around them. Some of the problems with society today could be avoided if there was the accountability of the whole family watching you and pointing out to you the right choices instead of often-times not even knowing you were making choices. Unfortunately, it's likely too late to ever go back.
