The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved on July 20, 2012—on a lapse-of-time basis1—a seven-month extension of Iraq’s Stand-By Arrangement (SBA), to February 23, 2013.The SBA had been scheduled to expire on July 23, 2012. The extension, which had been requested by the Iraqi authorities, will provide them with time to implement the policy measures needed to complete the combined third and fourth reviews under the SBA. The extension will, in particular, provide time for discussions on fiscal policies for the remainder of 2012 and on measures to improve the functioning of the exchange regime.

ARTICLE 12 OF THE BUDGET IS WHAT THEY CALL IT ALSHWAT AND SOLT ALFORSAN THOSE ARE GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT HELP IRAQI GOV IN HOT PLACES THEY ARE TRYING TO ALLOCATE MONEY FOR THEM. DELTA

IMO.....If we are to see the rate this year, we will see it by the time the budget is ratified...the clock just started ticking....

The budget ratifies automatically in 15 days....that is by Friday the 22nd....T is reportedly going to give a speech on the 21st....Parl is adjourned until the 19th....the Emir of Kuwait has yet to come to Baghdad......Team26 just added TeamI.....Frank always does things purposely.....Barzani started his initiative on Tuesday to head to a National Conference....These are all things to now study..all IMO of course.....

Frank used to always say we need the budget passed so S can apply the rate....after listening to last night's CC, I believed strongly we would see the budget pass today as this is in perfect harmony with Frank's report of the meetings in Jordan....Today's meeting in Amman can now authorize Iraq to move from Article 14 to Article 8(rv/ri, implied of course) as they have worked together in true democratic fashion and passed THE budget apparently without the Kurds....remember, a democracy is mob rules which is why our Founding Fathers were so staunchly opposed to democracy...(how did we become a democracy again when we were founded as a Republic??? :hmmm: Oh sorry, wrong topic...)....

IMO, the budget is officially passed but not ratified......NOW we need to see the Rate so it can be properly applied before it is ratified and opened....

Hold on to your seats everyone, one more hill to climb....hopefully it is a small hill..nonetheless, that hill is a maximum equivalent of 15 days....ALL IMO OF COURSE.....
