I had a dream the other night,
I did not understand
A figure walking through the mist,
with flintlock in his hand

His clothes were torn and dirty;
As he stood their by my bed,
he took off his three cornered hat
And speaking low, he said,

"We fought a revolution
to secure our Liberty
We wrote the Constitution,
as a shield from tyranny

For future generations
this legacy we gave
In this, the land of the free
and the home of the brave

The freedom we secured for you,
we hoped you'd always keep
But tyrants labored endlessly,
while your parents were asleep

Your freedom gone - Your courage lost
You're no more than a slave
In this, the land of the free

You buy a permit to travel,
and a permit to own a gun
Permits to start a business
or to build a place for one

On land that you believe you own,
you pay a yearly rent
Although you have no voice in choosing,
how the money's spent

Your children must attend a school,
that does not educate
Your Christian values can't be taught,
according to the State

You read about the current news
in a regulated press
You pay a tax you do not owe,
to please the IRS

Your money is no longer made
of silver or gold
You trade your wealth for paper,
so your life can be controlled

You pay for crimes
that make your nation turn
from God in shame
You've taken Satans number,
as you traded in your name

You've given government control
to those who do you harm,
so they can padlock churches,
and steal the family farm

And keep our country deep in debt,
put men of God in jail,
harass your fellow countrymen
While corrupted courts prevail

Your public servants
don't uphold the solemn oath they swore
Your daughters visit doctors,
so their children won't be born

Your leaders ship artillery
and guns to foreign shores,
and send your sons to slaughter,
to fight other peoples wars

Can you regain your freedom,
for which we fought and died,
or don't you have the courage
or the faith to stand with pride

Are there no more values
for which you would fight to save,
or do you wish your children,
to live in fear and be a slave

Sons of the Republic,
arise and take a stand
Defend the Constitution,
the supreme law of the land

Preserve our great Republic,
and teach each God given right,
and pray to God to keep the torch
of freedom burning bright..."

You know dog, I can read this over and over and I still shed a tear.  It hurts to see our country taken over by the evilness.  I am but one, but I will do my part in defending my country.  Of course with God's help.

Yeah me to patty. But it also fills me with resolve

I want my country back

I want to be able to sleep with my doors unlocked.

I want to be able to tell my grandchildren that there`s no such things as monsters and not be lieing

I want to be free again I have lived long enough to have known what it feels like.

I want to be left alone.

I want to be able to look in my grandchildrens eye`s and at least be able to say I tried to save it.

I dont know I just dont know how to stop it.

Thank you Patty...appreciate this post...it is so sad and so true...I, like dog, am old enough to remember when doors did not have to be locked, when there was respect for our government and public officials...it was a much better place...and I miss those days...for me and my family and nation...like dog, not sure what can be done but I know we must do whatever we can to try and turn things around...once again, Thank you...

Thank you cottn.  I hope more will open not only their eyes but their hearts and see where we are going with this administration.  If he has it his way and it seems he is gaining ground, I think he will seek a third term. 

 

He is gaining ground with all his executive orders, regulations, healthcare laws and ignoring the of Congress, that I think will eventually lead to ignoring the United States Supreme Courts.  He's hitting the United States so hard with tyranny and oppression, he knows that he can't be defeated. 

 

Why Congress fails to act against these obvious overreaching actions of the Executive Branch remains a mystery to me. 

 

So much is happening and quickly, that the only conclusion that is left for the American people to do is to pray for God's intervention, penance and fasting.

Wow, this stirs my heart with the resolve of our forefather's and all those who sacrificed and gave their lives for everything that made our nation great. When will we as a nation wake up and see that we are being deceived and pulled away from the core values that made us "The Greatest Nation Under God",,,

We need to pray that God will give wisdom and guidance to our government , so that we as a nation can go back to the values we were founded on.

Thanks Patty, Patriots are millions strong but have been disoriented and blinded into thinking all is well. It's not well, people are rising up all across the world  to show their disgust for their govt's wayward push. If the people doesn't rise up and stand together here instead amking it through another day hoping soneone else will fight the fight this nation will sink. Our forefathers laid it out with God's devine guidance and Washington has pushed God out the door. A day of reckoning is coming.

You really don't see it.  You don't see the division that this administration has caused.  The manipulation of the laws.  Manipulating the language of the laws.  He's given so much presidential authority over department heads. Do you know what that means....The distraction of flags popping up, so he can put another executive order in place.  He's lining things up slowly, but quickly and precisely at the given time, to take your freedoms away.  He's lining up for dictatorship. 

 

This is not leadership.  This is mere darkness.

He made a statement that he could not find .22 shells.

I found this preposterous. Yesterday i went to wal-mart, K mart, various mom and pop hardware stores. also

cabelas.  The shelves are empty. Not just .22 shells all rifle ammo. This country is preparing for a war.

Those like TP that cannot see it will be the ones lost in the kaos .

I have never seen anything that matches this. I lived through the last gun ban and it was not like this.

It is the GOPs willingness to compromise on every issue that has led us to this point

Yep your right PG. I also have muzzleloaders and plenty of powder.

I Took a bison once with one. 1 shot did the trick that big ole .50 cal

pushed its way right through the shoulder and into its lungs. I also have my bow

A stick bow made from a ash tree on my property. Made the way my people made them

forever ago. I have pushed a stick with that bow through many a bucks heart.

If need be it would serve me when the bullets run out and when the arrows run out I will fight with

my knife and if the knife breaks then I will fight with my hands.

and when I`m dead only then will I fight no more forever.
