I love it. I live in Northern Thailland however, so its a lot different place/livestyle. Peaceful, quiet, not a lot of the bull that you saw down south. Cost of living is cheap and the place is safe. No "in-your-face" govt crap either. Not like Vietnam. People are nice and friendly. I will stay here as long as possible. Havent met a Thai lady I want to stay with for the longterm, but there are plenty to choose from. Overall, having lived in many countries around the world, it is in my top 3 places to live. IF EVER we get an RV, I will be checking out Argentina and Urguary regions. Philippines and Mongolia are nice places. Both have their problems, but each is UNEEK (hahahaha) in their special ways. Loved Italy. Hiked the coast from Genova to La Spezita (spelling). the food is the BEST!

Thank you to all of the respondents to UNEEK's response to my comment of being sick of the "Wife in the Know" crap. Collectively, you all voiced what I was getting at much better than I could. It's not rumors in general that I'm sick of, obviously I'm here in the rumors section. It's these ridiculous posts, and the credit that respectable people give them that is frustrating.

There's no cure for stupid people. They're the only people that will survive the Zombies. They're lacking the key ingrediant in the Zombies diet.

Dog! That was one funny, sad story! When I was in the miltary, I remember going solo down into the provinces in the PI with my PI girlfriend. That was a pretty dumb thing considering the country that we were traveling through! I spent 3 days in Pattaya Beach, Thailand, that was a pretty nice place. But that was years before the Sunami hit.

This also holds true for the simple reason that if others do the same thing ( reporting any type of rumor) why shouldn't you...Just fair......Surely People have the choice to read or not what's in here.... Was hoping for a little longer winter. Burn season is right around the corner. Will need to make that annual trip to Krabi or elsewhere!

Its good, live in the country just on the outskirts of Chonburi city. We have had some rain over the last couple of weeks and it is still down in the high 20's. Looks set to go up shortly though. Been a bit like a war zone over the weekend with the Chinese new year. A lot of Chinese descendants in the area including my wife's family. Where about in the north, my mate is up in Udon at the moment.

Yeah, here too, especially closer to the border. I can go shopping and speak Thai, Chinese and English to these cats. Gets pretty confusing. I am about 20 kms north of Chiang Rai. Got a lot of mountains, waterfalls and hotsprings. Really like it here except during the burn season. Makes LA look like Sedona! Good to met you. Hope I can afford a Thai wife with the RV. Hope I afford a home too! hell, hope i afford to stop working!!! Cheers Maybe we need a Thai-RV party, like those fellows having a bash in Vegas. I promise, we'll have MORE FUN and CHEAPER!!! dunno, just saying..... :P

The discernment I'm speaking of is in regards to observing the commonly used buzz words, catch phrases and lines of logic (term used loosely here) that have been recycled by pumpers for nearly a decade. It's all part of the education process regarding the Dinar.

UNEEK, I appreciate your efforts, and hope you keep pressing forward and digging for information. The fine members here at DV (a few who are on this thread) helped in teaching me how to pick through the manure to find the roses. I encourage you to take it all with a grain of salt, some laughter and sometimes an adult beverage helps! />

I appreciate the many that have responded in this thread in regards to shhabbadudes frustrations - my frustrations and the many others who feel frustrated with whatever ---- For sanity's sake I have been focusing my energy and abilities in other directions today -

I was not quite ready to come out of hiding and I am very uncomfortable making this post but felt a responsibility to respond especially to the many kind responses and those that have been so sincere in the efforts to defend the actions of others and support me at the same time

I don't feel that everyone has fully understood ( or possibly believed) my sensitivity and concern - I do not have a problem with anyone disagreeing with the rumors or who the rumor is from - that has never really been an issue other than in my very early beginning days of posting

I could post a rumor or chat and get blasted and a certain other person could post the same and get raves - I think I do understand that a lot better now - I could be wrong and I am NOT claiming this to be the case - but you folks have said yourself that negs can be about the rumor or who it is from and even against the one bringing it - we have no way of knowing right? right!

I have come to realize FINALLY that the more established posters have their following so to speak and will get the accolades as a means of support even if they do not like the information -- That is GREAT !!!! No problem !!!!! Everyone's prerogative

This fact I was not fully aware of in the early days of my posting and because of that happening it has had an impact on the way I see the negs on my posting as being more personal - And honestly folks how do you discern the neg & positive? That can only be done on an individual basis through each persons own perspective -

Some are worded in such a way that there is no mistake that it is a personal attack and there have been those - a good many - and those are the ones that hurt - they are cruel and unfounded and I know it but being the sensitive person that I am it hurts that I have done something to cause that person to feel that way towards me -

I am still very uncomfortable with making this post - the drama - ughhh - and the more emphasis that I / we put on this issue the worse it looks feels etc and makes it all appear so ego driven and I do not want that to happen -- the plus - minus option is a good thing - and if we only got pluses we would come to be unappreciative of them -
