Meeting for finalizing budget law draft fails

Baghdad (AIN) –Three members of the Financial Parliamentary Committee withdrew from the meeting held on Wednesday evening to finalize the last touches on the 2013 budget law draft.

Member of the Committee Shurash Mustafa stated to All Iraq News Agency "The Financial Committee held an important meeting to set the final touches on the budget law draft to prepare for a vote in the parliament session of Thursday."

"The members of the committee were surprised when the head of the Committee Haider al-Ebadi left the meeting to have a private meeting with the leader within the Kurdistani Alliance Arif Tayfour," noting that "We reject subsidiary agreements held without knowledge of the Committee's members." /End/

Allawi sets endorsing CoMs bylaw as condition for IS Ministers return to its sessions

Baghdad (AIN) –The head of the Iraqiya Slate set the endorsement of the Council of Ministers' bylaw as a condition for resuming IS Ministers' attendance for its sessions.

In a statement for AIN, Allawi said "Endorsing the CoMs bylaw is our condition for the IS Ministers' return to the session of the Council."

"The bylaw will clarify the authorities of each minister because the minister is not a student to follow orders without authorities," he added.

"It is shameful for IS ministers to return to the CoMs session without endorsing this bylaw," he remarked.

He renewed his call for the Iraqi National Alliance to replace the Premier with another figure able to run the affairs of the State. /End/

Maliki assures discussing pending issues with Kuwaiti Emir

Baghdad (AIN) –The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, assured that he discussed the pending issues between Iraq and Kuwait while meeting the Kuwaiti Emir, Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabber al-Sabah.

The semi-official Iraqiya Satellite Channel quoted Maliki, as saying "We have discussed with the Kuwaiti Emir, the pending issues such as the issue of the Iraqi Airways, the navigation in Khur Abdullah and reconsidering the associated borders."

"We have also discussed the mutual relations," he concluded. /End/

Government's failure behind unified stance of IS, KA to topple Maliki, says Kartani

Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Hamza al-Kartani, of the Iraqiya Slate attributed the unified stance of the Iraqiya Slate and the Kurdistani Alliance over withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to the failure of the government.

Speaking to AIN, he assured "The repeated failure of the Government's performance led the IS, and the KA to adopt the proposal of withdrawing confidence from Maliki."

"The IS and the KA agreement over this proposal came due to the Government failure in the political, security and service sectors for three years," he stressed.

"The deals do not estimate the Government's performance rather it is the clear failure that urges the blocs to reserve the performance of the Government," he concluded. /End
