Snotrocket your doing awesome, I thought I step in but I see that your doing quiet well. You go girl. I'm proud of you, your keeping it clean...LOL

I lot of their responses are so inside out. They just can't seem to see the picture of what it's going to take to get this country back on the track to prosperity.

Mr. Jax and Rodandstaff, I like how your heart speaks of our America. ;)

Thank you Patty... I always admire your clarity as well! :)

Caz please explain.
Simple, I put my response in the most simplistic(no pun intended) of terms. All one needs to do is go back to the inception of Welfare, measure the costs(tax) then and now(adjusted),number of participants(relative to population) then & now,and you would see the problem(participants) & costs are much higher. No its just not a recent phenomenon either, its been on the upswing alsmost since its inception-peace. Forced charity which is all that welfare is, is not the answer.  Edited by caz1104

Thanks, I was referring to your first statement "As some have evidenced it is much easier to either blame others for ones personal circumstance or misdirect the conversation." However, you're correct for a large number of folks on welfare.

I see, what I meant was the misdirection some try to push the conversation. The Welfare issue should not be about politics for this is national problem. But until SOMEONE has the gonads to step up and try to solve it regardless of party ain't nothing goin to change. Same goes with immigration. We have politicians afraid to upset specific portion s of the population or politicians afraid to lose a portion of they're voting base . We don't have leaders we have panders & appeasers-sad.

I'm confused

That is obvious.Tell me, is it because your brother is your daddy and your mom is your grandmother too?

It's too bad he dumped your mom and married your sister, but that aint our fault either...

DEAR ROCKET OF SNOT

rich LABOR

IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT BIG GOVERNMENT...KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING...

EXACTLY!!!

Fat cat union MORONS spending their memberships dues money on electing a system that will destroy the membership but ensure their OWN position in the new regime.

And your either too greedy, selfish, or stupid to see it.

Dear Dumb and Even Dumber,

Who the HECK do you think you are calling one of the most upstanding ladies on this site names, when your own heads are stuck so far up a nasty dark and smelly place and you are both so completely clueless that all you do is stink up the room with your smelly breath anytime you open your mouth????

OF COURSE the establishment RINOS have not done their jobs, none of the corrupted politicians have done ANYTHING but work to destroy all threats to their power and make more rules to oppress ALL Americans.

They make platitudes then turn around and give us the shaft.

Snotrocket has been a leading voice in trying to wake people the hell up from their delusion, and all you can do is attack her?

You are a perfect example of why we REALLY do need forced sterilization.

The ONLY difference between the two parties is there are some constitutional representatives in the RINO side, trying to take the party to the Republican constitutional foundation.

Compared to the zombie parrots from the dems that have fully embraced socialism and now are so convinced of their own lies they actually think America is with them,

In just a few weeks you and the rest of your ilk will realize the folly of your delusion.

Hopefully then you will bend over, grab your ears, and pull very very hard.

Once you hear that popping sound and you can once again see daylight, you might be able to see that there are only two "parties", Americans, and politicians.

The politicians hate the Americans, and have been lying to and cheating the Americans for a couple hundred years.

The politicians then allow their friends that own the big corporations to tell them what rules they want so they can keep making stuff that kills the Americans.

Next thing you know Monsanto get's to plant GMO crops next to working farms and contaminate through cross pollination, or Bayer makes a pesticide that destroys 60% of the honey bees in America.

Hopefully, some day the Americans will realize who their real enemies are.

Until then, you should REALLY know what you are talking about instead of just babbling rhetoric.

Good morning Hame - always a pleasure. I never said - nor have I EVER said - that we shouldn't help those in need. It's our moral obligation to do so. HAND UP NOT HAND OUT. The point you libs just can't seem to grasp is that it is human nature to take the path of least resistance...government dependency is SLAVERY. It removes incentive and destroys motivation. $60,000 per household? Really? No wonder so many have given up and gotten in line for their free stuff. Why should they work if they can live so comfortably in "poverty"? Try to stay on topic....hijacking this thread and making it about something else does nothing to further the discussion.

Welfare recipients make more than I do with a solid education and fulltime job. These numbers make me want to quit working and get my share of the dole.

It is disheartening. However, I think a lot of people are misinterpreting the original article that said it comes out to "$60,000" spent per household on welfare" That does NOT mean everyone on welfare is getting $60,000/year. Or even $60k worth of housing or food or TANF or Childcare...I think it means that in order to get the benefits to the largest amount of people EVER on Welfare, it "costs", when averaged out amongst household recipients, to $60k to get it done, whether it's the employees paid to do it or whatever goes into getting that much money from the taxpayers to subsidize everything in America. grrr.

It's still out of control and I am not pleased with $60,000. Just wanted to point out, correct me if I am wrong, that this is not saying that each family on welfare receives an average of $60k....because I truly think that's what a lot of people are thinking when reading this. It's what I thought at first too. Just wanted to clarify.

Simple, Your ignorance has just shifted into stupidity.

As customary with most Liberals, you have a problem hijacking threads with dribble, taking the subject off track. Jules, trying to keep her thread on track, asked you a pertinent question several times and yet you still haven't/can't answer. Instead, you get nasty and personal with a stupid azz, vulgar question. Because as usual her statement (Don't poke the bear) went over your head. You owe her a sincere apology for your assinine, ignorant personal question.

Simple if your going to act like a man, if you are man, than you should take it like a man. If your a women and want to hang with the guys then you need to take what's dished out at you, like a man. Your disrespectful comments are uncalled for. You need to stop with such remarks.

You have to really stick with the "I agree to disagree" line, it might work best for you.

I have an idea.... Why not change the welfare system from a hand out to a hand up. With regards to requirements. If you are inclined to ask for welfare you must agree to do these items. 1. You must hold down at least a 20 hour per week job. 2. You must also spend 10 hours per week helping in shelters, animal humane centers or even picking up garbage on road crews. 3. You must spend the remaining 10 hours seeking fulltime employment. All three above you would have to show prove to the welfare office each month before you would receive the following months help. That would make a regular 40 hour week. I think with those types of requirements our welfare system could become much smaller and much more productive.

Just a thought. Blessings, MC.

DinarM you're out of you're mine. Read the past remarks for on topic discussion. You guys take things off topic constantly and call others out of line. She/he was out of line with her remark to me. Kill it and get back on topic! If she didn't like my elongated answer then that's her problem. I'm not a yes or no man. That's flat-out stupid. She was silly enough to at first glance think they received an average of $60 dollars per household. That's ignorance if you prefer to get personal! Back on topic without the threats and snotty remarks!

I agree with the others, a hand up, not a hand out. Flipping burgers is better than doing nothing. There are jobs out there, but they have to put forth some effort in looking. I was just reading an article about a businessman in Mississippi who can't get anyone to work for him. He said the ones that did apply would only agree to go to work for him for cash because they didn't want to lose their social security benefits. If I was him, I would have reported every person who told him that.
