its a long shot i agree .. the longer its draged out the more it will be worth .. its like buying a lottery ticket .. ya cant sit there and argue with the ticket buyer saying its not a winner over and over .. they will not just toss away the ticket till after the drawing .. the dinar is the best kept secret .. so far all we have is speculation . i personally believe shabbibi is the only one who truly knows what hes asking for and what isbeing offered ..the offers i believe were to low so he held out for more oil production ..the longer they hold out the more income iraq has the more they can finance their currency "debt" .. i cannot believe anything else coming out of iraq or anywhere else .. i just read other peoples comments .. some make sense some dont have a clue .. but im waiting this out till the new rates are out .. i wont budge on anyone elses review . im not broke and in need of money .. ive held my dinars for over 7 years now and have made a small profit so far ,, i could sell out for 900 a million right now and make a couple grand .. but i didnt come this far for that

The only difference between the dinar and a lottery ticket is you could actually win the lottery. Iraq could not nor would not "RV" to any significant number. Never.

Let me ask you this. What are they waiting for? Ask Kraperoni or not-so-Breitling and they will give you all the excuses in the world why Iraq is holding off on the wonderful population benefiting world economy bailing out "RV". Pumpers love nothing more than a "RV" that will never happen. It ensures dinar sells all the way up until the redenomination. All of these so called gurus know better than anyone that RVs are fantasy. They arent in it for the RV. They are in it for massive mark ups on dinar sells. You really think they would be selling you dinar if they knew it would "RV"?

Let me ask you something else. Do you know the definition of inflation? Its something like too much money chasing too few goods and services. What does Iraq have very few of? Thats right, goods and services. What would Iraq and Iraqis have lots of if they had a "RV"? Yep, money. So they would have all of this wealth and no goods or services. So if you were the local shop owner would you continue to sell camels for 300 USD? No. You would jack them up to 50,000 USD because everyone has money to burn and demand just skyrocketed. These reasons are why there is no such thing as RVs. Curreny values are closely watched and when a move happens in one is is tiny and only done to offset inflation or improve trade balances or whatever.

Again....I enjoy our conversations here and you have been much more civil than most RVers but there is no new rate. If there was it would only be by a few percent or even up to 20 percent which would be huge.

Lets say that the dinar become internationally traded tomorrow. Who would want to buy it? Iraq is a shite hole with gunman roaming the streets while their cousins are setting off bombs. The Gov. is a joke who couldn't run a lemonade stand. They are surrounded by Iran and Syria. The Kurds are in the process of breaking away. They have no factories, skilled workers, technology, infrastructure, education, jobs of any kind. They barely have working electricity half of the time and their sewer system is sad. Most of the population lives in poverty and their future is uncertain. Yeah......really sounds like a currency that people cant wait to invest in. Other than internet speculators that is. Iraq would not dare float their currency. They will stick with the peg where they have some security. Developing countries almost always peg their currencies for that very reason.

With all of that being said.....the dinar can absolutely go up in value. Just not by any significant amount. It just isnt going to happen with the amount of dinar in existence.

About being on this site...I cant tell you how many times I have heard that line. Its always the last resort when people start to realize they have lost the argument. I use to believe all of the same things that you do now for a brief period of time. I figured there was no way the value could not rise. That was until I actually started studying some of the things I was reading about on these forums. Things like hyperinflation and redenominations and why they are done. After comingt back to reality I just began to hope that they would keep putting off the RD forever and the value would go up over a long period of time. Now I can see that isnt going to happen either. They would have a RV larger than the largest in historymultiple times each year to ever get to any amount that would make this as profitable as all of the hype has suggested. I still hold my dinar but I basically just hang around this site every now and again because I enjoy the topic.

When the people who control these currencies decide it is illegal for the common citizen to own gold and they make you bring it in for a pittance of what you bought it for and they know you have it because of the records of your transactions so you either become an outlaw or poor what good is all this worrying and hoarding anyway. The self sufficient man who eats his meals and is content is much happier than the man who is always worried about his riches. I got into this investment giving God the opportunity to bless me. I din't buy so much and spend so much that I was now broke and pennieless because I had spent more than a speculation would warrant.. In the end it will be God who decides what will happen with this Dinar. Man will do as God wants him to without even knowing why. If God wants this to be a great investment and much wealth made from it it will be so. If God does not care it will be a coin toss. If God does not wnt it to happen it never will. Be content with what you have and enjoy your family. Work and support yourself and put a little away for hard times. Waiting on this investment and putting all of your hopes in it is very unwise. Buy some seeds, dig a well, plant a garden get some domesticated animals and fowl and start some husbandry. In the end the rich man will chew and gnaw on his gold and the self sufficient man who planned will eat a wonderful meal. Who will be more content? Just saying.

Now one gets (very) rich either by Luck, or financial capability and / or crime ( classic and financial)....

I was not referring to working making you wealthy. One man works and comes home and eats his food and knows if hard times come he is able bodied and can be self sufficient. Another man does not work but amasses wealth and has ulcers and his food tastes like ashes most of the time because he is too busy trying to build more wealth and protect the wealth he has so that nobody takes his wealth from him. The economy crashes. Money is not worth wiping your butt with. Gold in your safe cant feed you because there is no food unless you can grow it. The working man is working growing food and eating the rich man is gnawing on his gold. In the end the happiest people on earth are the ones who can enjoy a childs laughter or a beautiful sunset. The man who can hold hands with his wife whom he has made 40 years of memories with and watch their grandchildren play. A family. People who stick together and with each other. That my friend is happiness. Not knowing whether the new girl who was attracted to your wealth is having your child or your lawyers child divorced 3 times and working on number 4, not trusting anyone because you know they all want what you have amassed. Your children are spoiled and strung out on drugs and get mad if you dont give them another toy or many thousands of dollars so you disown them because they are taking your money. Wealth could be a good thing if handled wisely. I just don't ever get to see that picture when I read between the lines. Read the whole post. I do own dinar. I just don't make it my whole world. If you do you have a very up and down existence. Actually you have to be getting pretty desperate right now.
