Jmcc
I might be dating myself a little bit here, but when I was going to college and working in a gas station, regular was 24.9 cents. Sometimes a gas war would come along and it would drop to 15.9 cents. Making good money at $1.25/hr.
winterset
I use to "borrow" my dads car and for 25 cents in gas, he never knew.
Peace
i remember a place in denison tx in the late 90s the lowest i ever saw gas was at 78cents. and i'm 30. I dont' think we will ever see that again. Here is a question...I'm not one to keep up with the trends on oil, natural gas, or fracking, but why are we not consuming our own resources...does it have to do with environmental activists? captl1
I do remember those gas wars in South Florida.....Sunoco 260 for 24 cents a gallon.....in the seventies those gas lines. Yes we are dating ourselves but it did say "The Good Old Times"

If I were to guess, it has to do with resources being finite...they will eventually be gone, so why not save ours till last? (just guessing)

nstoolman1
I remember it selling for .24 and I started working at a gas station selling it at .30. Those were full service stations, I remember when you could buy premium leaded gas (103 octane) for .30 a gallon. You could get Blue and Green chip stamps and trade them in for good stuff. Oil came in a cardboard can. I could buy a case (24) for about $5.
