Here's one thought on the matter.While in a Blockbuster renting videos, I came across a video called "Obama". There were two men standing next

to me and we talked about President Obama. These guys were Arabs, so I asked them why they thought Michelle Obama headed home following the President's recent visit to France instead of traveling on to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband. They told me she could not go to Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Iraq.

I said "Why not,(?) Laura Bush went to Saudi Arabia,Turkey and Dubai." They said that Obama is a Muslim and therefore he is not allowed to bring his

wife into countries that adhere to Sharia Law.

Two points of interest here:

1) I thought it interesting that two American Arabs at Blockbuster believe that our President is a Muslim, who follows a strict Islamic creed.

2) They also said that's the reason he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. It was a signal to the Muslim world, acknowledging his religion.

For further consideration, here is a response from Dr. Jim Murk, a Middle Eastern Scholar and expert on Islam. This is his explanation of

what the Arab American's were saying.

"An orthodox Muslim man would never take his wife on a politically oriented trip to any nation which practices Sharia law, particularly Saudi

Arabia where the Wahhabi sect is dominant. This is true and it is why Obama left Michelle in Europe. She will stay home when he visits Arab countries.

He knows Muslim protocol; this includes, bowing to the Saudi King. Obama is regarded as a Muslim in the Arab world, because he was born to a Muslim

father; he acknowledged his Muslim faith with George Stephanopoulus. Note that he downplays his involvement with Christianity, by not publicly joining

a Christian church in D.C. And occasionally attending the chapel for services at Camp David . He also played down the fact that America is a Christian

country and said, unbelievably, that it was one of the largest Muslim nations in the world, which is nonsense. He has publicly taken the side of the

Palestinians in the conflict with Israel and he ignored the National Day of Prayer, something no other President has ever done. He is bad news!

ACTIONS speak louder than words. Another interesting item regarding Sharia Law. Why has Barack Hussein Obama insisted that the U.S. Attorney

General hold the trials of the 911 Muslim Terrorists in Civilian Courts as Common Criminals instead of as Terrorists who attacked the United States of America?

If the Muslim Terrorists are tried in Military Tribunals, convicted and sentenced to death, by LAW, Barack Hussein Obama, as President of the United States,

would be required to sign their death warrants. He would not be required to sign the death warrants if they are sentenced to death by a Civilian Court.

Recently, Muslim Jihadist, Army Major Hassan slaughtered non-Muslim, soldiers at Ft. Hood, Texas rather than go to Afghanistan and be a part of anything

that could lead to the deaths of fellow Muslims. He stated that Muslims 'could not and should not kill fellow Muslims.' Is the motive for Barack Hussein Obama's

insistence on civilian trials, to make sure he doesn't have to sign the death warrants for the Muslim Terrorists? Why would he, as President of the United States,

not sign the death warrants for Muslim Terrorists who attacked the United States and murdered over 3,000 U. S. Citizens on 9/11? Could it be that he is

FORBIDDEN by his RELIGION to authorize the execution of Muslims?

This is a conversation between a friend of mine and two Arabs in Gainesville on May 2. We have always heard that once a Muslim always a Muslim, and it must still be true.

I was at Blockbusters on Saturday renting videos, and I was going along the wall and there was a video called "Obama". I told the men next to me that I wouldn't waste my time. We talked about Obama. These guys were Arabs and I asked them why they thought Michele Obama headed home following her visit in France instead of traveling on to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband. They said she couldn't go to Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Iraq.

I said, "Laura Bush went to Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Dubai."

They said that Obama is a Muslim and by Muslim law he would not be allowed to bring his wife into the countries that accept Sharia Law. Just thought it was interesting that the Arabs at Blockbusters accept the idea that we're being led by a Muslim who follows the Islamic creed. They also said that's the reason he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. It was a signal to the Muslim world. Just thought you would like to know.

 

Origins:   There are several ways the above-quoted anonymous account of an encounter with anonymous Arabs at an unidentified Blockbuster video store could be debunked, starting with the fact that its premise is false: Barack Obama is not a Muslim. That fact aside, the central claims of this account are still demonstrably false:

The gist of this message claims that during Barack Obama's first major foreign trip as President of the United States in April 2009, his wife Michelle did not accompany him for the full duration of his visit abroad because the itinerary included Islamic countries governed by Sharia law into which he, as a

Muslim, was prohibited from bringing the First Lady. But President Obama did not visit any Sharia law-governed countries during that trip.

The countries to which President Obama traveled during his foreign visit were France, the UK, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Turkey. Of those five nations, the only one with a predominantly Islamic population is Turkey, and that country is governed by secular law, not Islamic Sharia law. President Obama did not visit Saudi Arabia during that trip as claimed; he met with King Abdullah at the G20 economic summit in London, not in Saudi Arabia. (President Obama did eventually go to Saudi Arabia, but only as part of a separate trip undertaken two months after the one referenced in the e-mail quoted above.)

Sharia law varies slighty with region and custom, but in general it includes no provisions that would prohibit a woman from accompanying her husband (Muslim or otherwise) on a visit to a Sharia law-governed country,

As a visiting government official, a President of United States would not be subject to such a law (and if he were, the law would have applied to George W. Bush and all of President Obama's predecessors as well). It's akin to claiming that a foreign potentate with multiple wives could not bring along more than one spouse on a visit to the United States because the U.S. has laws against polygamy.

None taken. I believe there is a lot of truth in the article you posted. I shared it on Facebook and someone posted the snopes article in response so I thought I'd pass it on to you.

I left it on my wall for people to come to their own conclusions. A few of them are also discrediting Snopes as liberals in O's pocket.

I remember seeing a sound bite on the TV box with our buddy Barry saying something to the effect of "America is the greatest country on earth. Vote for me and we can change it." or whatever.

Initially, Snopes said it was true. Later they said it was true but it was just one of those "mis-spoken" kind of election clips and it wasn't what he meant. Now they out-and-out say it's false.

So can we believe Snopes? Just sayin'.

The big story is the holdup of the RV. Biden was dispatched 4 time this year to get the RV delayed till close to elections so Obama could take credit for saving the global economy.

We should see a RV about the end of October just in time for the elections. Obama may even get a 2nd Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing, again.
