Sam usually bashes all the sites and Gurus. However I noticed that Adam is not listed below. Reason being, He is the only one who has never stated a date or rate but rather takes the higher ground with regard to this investment. In my opinion there are only a select few that I have been listening to that seem to grasp the overall concept of this investment.

Remember your history when looking around other sites. See who is posting on each site and see who continues to be found under the "Conspiracy, Conjecture, Far Out Ideas, Paranoia" section on a daily basis.

Yes, the daily date and rate that is posted on many sites from these guys is nothing new. Those of us usually take their intel as being bogus. But we still see them posting.

June 2011

Those of you who have been around for awhile probably remember the anticipation of the RV coming at the end of 2010. When that didn't happen all the gurus seemed in agreement that June 2011 was the absolute deadline. Here are a few examples of what they were saying:

Guru Steve, I had a contact of mine translate an article that Fresh had posted…Shabibi is telling the people that they are going to drop the three zeroes. The article also states that in the next week to 10 days that the people of Iraq will have to get use to a new currency that will be issued. My contact stated that this sounds like Shabibi was talking about the RV coming by June 30

This payment to the Paris Club is being paid in DINAR- …Had to be paid in a tradeable currency- Not a foreign currency(US Dollars). Everything is done- documents were signed in Jordan past 24 hours…Now we wait to see what rate they will put on the screens . Tier #1 are Nations- Tier #2 are huge investors GE- Haliburton- Shell Etc- we are Tier #3- The previous Tiers have been paid…We will be next. We should be seeing the rate in due time on the screens

And of course .... NADA!!!! Now June of 2012 has also come and gone and the IQD is still valued at $.00086. Just a little something to think about next time you hear a rate and date/window/deadline being thrown out.

While most of these folks are definitely not credible, there are some legitimate people in there who have made honest mistakes, Scooter, Bondlady, Kaperoni, for example. There is no way to predict what these politicians are going to do, and we always have incomplete information, delays, and simple translation errors.

I think this situation is comparable to the global debt crisis. There are those of us who have been warning about it for years, Peter Schiff and Gerald Celente being the most vocal. There are naysayers all over the news saying nothing will ever happen, and we can continue to print money indefinitely with no ill effects. Just because the naysayers have been right until now, does anyone really think piling debt on top of debt with QE to infinity is the answer to our debt problem?

It's easy to trash someone, just because his prediction didn't come true in the time frame specified, but it doesn't mean it won't happen eventually. Any time there are large numbers of people involved and incomplete information available, analysis becomes difficult.

In my own humble opinion, the Gurus used to be entertaining. That has long since passed. Now I do not read much other than this forum and check the FOREX every week or so to see if anything happened. I also think that the term "guru" does not apply to all information providers. To me it is applying an oppocite like referring to a bald guy as "goldie locks". I wonder if any of the so called Gurus have ever been to Iraq, formally studied economics, or have any real basis of knowledge other than the internet. At this stage I plan to work toward normal retirement age and be very happy if I can make it earlier. Yep, I have changed from optimistic hope to realistic hope. Plan for the worst case and celebrate when the outcome is better.

Today is 121 degrees, dusty and hazy. Life is still good and all is well. I hope everyone here is well also.
