American Muslims Stone Christians in Dearborn

Ok I guess the dog will go ahead and jump into the fray hahaha This is like a dog fight where there`s really not a winner. Anyway after going to about 80 site`s I think I have a notion as to the truth in this matter 1 These were not a handful of christians trying to gently spread the word of god by simply quoting scripture from the bible. 2. This was a mob of protesters there for trouble shouting insults holding up pigs heads and just generally raising hell 3. This is a festival that happens yearly in dearborn . The Arab community in Dearborn (dearborn`s population is 40% arab) are the ones who sponsored it. I live about 2 hours from dearborn I know people (not arab) who attend every year. The food is great and there`s lots of stuff for kids to do. games rides, ect ect. The festival is not a realious based event. Its kinda like their fair. So with that being said. I dog53 who despises and hates with a passion RADICAL ISLAM. Think these morons who by no means were acting in a christian manner . got exactly what they deserved. Oh and the stones were actually empty water bottle`s and food that was being thrown at them. Oh and the video doesnt show it but there were many non- arab`s throwing the stuff to. Anyway just thought I good maybe shed a little light and tone down the hate. NEO you have a real problem dude. Why do you hate religion so intensely. Respect others beliefs and perhaps they would respect you in turn.

I don't respect the radical muslims beliefs either, why would I? You obviously don't although I could easily make the statement you just made to me. For instance "Just respect radical islam dog, and they will respect you back". Not very likely or realistic is it dog? My two cents.

I have to agree with Dog53, the video was one sided. These so called Christian which I think were not acting in a Christian manner, new good and well that they were going to stir the pot. I don't know about you but I think or I know Jesus would not of handled it this way.

Until we can see each other as ONE as Maggie123 has mentioned and as God has taught us, this will continue to brew for generations to come.

As far as the other group (Muslims) they were just as much at fault by displaying their hatred towards any human being the way they did. Unfortunately this is taught to them.

No way in the world would my children speak such hateful words that would dishonor their parents. Foul mouths.

We need to stop hating on each other. Quit trying to prove who is right, who is better, who is smarter, and start respecting each other. Our children won't move forward to a peaceful world if we don't move forward.

Just to add a case in point, check out Black Swan's response to SF on page 1 of this thread. She said essentially the same thing as you in a very respectful manner, and I agreed with her. Yet we got negged to hell over it and somehow you get pluses? This is the intolerance lack of reasoning that these so called "christians" produce, and just another reason I'm not a fan of faith. We get negged simply because we're non believers and you agree with us and say the same things but happen to be a christian so it's all good for you. Prime example of the lack of logic and tolerance that I was referring to.

I have seen with my own eyes a dandelion break through a slab of cement. Its FAITH that I believe in. FAITH makes a god a reality. Was Jesus born a god I don't really know. Do I have FAITH That he is a true living god and that through his FAITH he makes it possible that we do not endure a death but everlasting life. Yes. I do. I have FAITH that his FAITH was so strong that this is possible. I believe that the Muslims , catholics, Hindus, Jews, etc etc also can attain this level of FAITH.We are all children of god. We can all try to attain this level of FAITH that can endure after death. If you as a atheist believe in nothing then its nothing that you will become. Your right, I can not argue your opinion. If you believe in the great spirit and jesus, thats your prerogative, but do you not see the contradiction in your two beliefs? Do you know what christianity actually says according to the bible or are you just creating your own "per se" christianity? You either believe in christ and no one else including the great spirit or you don't. For instance one can't be a christian and believe in allah, according to the bible. So you can't rely claim you believe in jesus and the great spirit and expect that belief to coincide with what the bible actually says. I'm not sure what the great spirit's rules are, but I'm guessing they don't punish one for "worshipping false idols".

Do you know that it was christian FAITH" and interpretations of that FAITH that lead to manifest destiny and the slaughter of many indigenous native people? Did you know they used their FAITH and "goodness" as a direct excuse to commit ethnic cleansing on the native americans? You know this history right? You see this is the darker side of FAITH that no one ever wants to talk about. Now here you are, apparently native and proud, and yet you pray to a deity that was the direct source of FAITH by the ones who slaughtered your ancestors. Now I know you probably have some reason you feel that these people weren't "true christians" and that your FAITH in the same god is justified and hey that's all simply in the past right? That's fine. I just find it interesting that as a native you found christ, but that's just an observation I found interesting, nothing more. You're entitled to your beliefs my friend and I'm entitled not to respect them. Although I'll respect you.

Christ lived a holy life. He went to where people gathered. Those who wanted what He had to offer followed him, and those who didn't could go home. Throngs of people followed him wherever He went, and his active ministry was only three years.

I just think that Christian people who think it's appropriate to go into a Muslim neighborhood (He went to where people gathered) and preach Christ are kind of asking for it. Given what we know about this religion of intolerance and hatred of the "infidel", I mean, really. How stupid could they be? I don't think what happened is right, but I think it was to be expected.

We're giving Muslims a preferred status in our country now, and too many people think we should just give them a wide berth. (Those Christians were not giving them a wide berth. But the Muslims tried to claim preferred status by stoning the Christians in their midst). As we do that, if we expect a wide berth from Muslims, we're just stupid. (If we can't go wherever Muslims are, other than in their own homes or places of worship, then aren't we just allowing them to take over any place where they choose to go and be disagreeable to non-Muslims who also have every right to be there? I think the Christians were taunting the Muslims, which they could do just by being there without saying a word, but the Muslims had no right to throw things at them. However no one likes to be stared at silently in an accusatory way by others). I think it is much more useful to live a life of service like Christ did. To endeavor to be holy like He was while on this earth. To touch people and make them want what you have in a meaningful way. To take soup to the poor, and share Christ with people as you develop meaningful relationships. The problem is, most fundamentalist Christians aren't doing a very good job of that. They tend to be judgmental and self-righteous, and who wants that? (This could also be Muslims. They are, for the most part, very much judgemental and self-rightous. Or it could be many of the objectors to Christianity here. You are right, no one wants such behaviors, but many people lean toward being like this when their own beliefs are questioned). After all, you are taking the soup to their neighborhood, and they have to listen to you if they are hungry and want to eat). Your missing the point, no it's not ok, but if you plan o blatantly disrespecting people, plan on a response. If you walk up to someone and start verbally bashing them, do they have a right to hit you? Technically no, but you would have to brain dead not to know that would be a possibility.

Yes, I do agree with you and when you break the law, there is a good chance to suffer the consequences to your actions.

I used to use the same type of example to woman that wear very little clothing with some extra skin showing. There is more of a chance to being raped so dont do it, but you have the right of course. The rapist cant use the excuse that they raped them because they were not wearing enough clothing and they should have expected it, when being prosecuted for their crime.

I just watched the vid from begining to end. What I saw was Christan persscusion in the form as outlined in the Bible. With everything else going on in the world today this just convinced me that the final battle is forming and we won,'t have any choice here.

All I can say is look to the Lord and believe that he is our savoior. The double standard that is being applied here is gut wrenching to watch in my own Christan based country. It is like these self rightouse subhumans have rights but the Christans do not. I now think I have a better understanding of what the middle east is all about. It appears that the muslims think they are the chosen ones. Boy are they (muslims) in for a surprise.

Christans God would want you to protect yourself......................................... It is a sad day in the USA. Let the negs flow, I don't care, GOT IT!

Isn't it true that you do not believe in God. You are a good person and not evil? Am I right? Well, I don't know how but I believe that my God knows that. He will in some way find you. Not that you want it or by force but by a for instance. And I know that's not what you want or expect because you see no logic to it. But that is how I believe. You said cling, so I will use that word too. I cling to ideology that every Christian does not share my view. Like I said in another post I am not able to be pure and I believe that no one is. We are all sinners. There is no way I could live like the law and cast the first stone. I am wired as to taking the easy road which sometimes is bad. It's easier to make an argument and be mean. You know what I learned about that? That energy I used was wasted on pure nothing. That would turn me to hate. And when someone deliberately does that to another I see that as pure mean and evil. I will call them out on that when I know it is just being mean. I won't try to change their mind but they are trying to "force" me to change mine.

I love to listen to reason. There are times when I see something and everyone hate me for it. For instance, Maliki. I got bashed so bad for saying what a tyrant and evil man he was. There were so many articles of his wrong doings but no one saw that. Oh well, I just kept putting my interpretation and eventually got left alone. But, see i am sometimes an evil #itch, but I refrain because it's pure evil. Being a Christian is work and eventually becomes natural. But again not all Christians believe like me. - Well it's nice that you personally feel this way, and you seem like such a sweet person uncircurld but again it goes against what christianity actually says. You are wise enough and kind enough to set your own moral code which trumps any organized religious moral code.

- I didn't take the "severe look at it", this is simply the christian belief. Either you accept jesus christ as savior or you go to hell. That is what christianity states according to the bible. The bible is very clear on this fundamental premise. As I said, You can alter that any way you wish and make it seem sensible to you, but you are changing the rules to fit you're own pov. That's like saying I'm a christian but I choose to believe in allah. I can not debate your self made contradictory beliefs on christianity, I'm simply happy you can see holes in religion at all. As much as you say you will not become an atheist you have already bent the rules of christianity enough to at least allow yourself the opportunity to become one without punishment in your mind. You have done this by eliminating the NEED for belief in order to transcend as evidenced by your belief that your husband as an atheist will go to heaven.

I have never seen so many confused people in my life......We have some that read the Bible, but don't believe all that it says. We have others that are "Christians" but don't go to church because the churches are wrong. We have those that believe "their God" is too loving to condemn any body that is good and moral. Apparently we have many that have never even read the Bible, or if they did their mind must have been some where else......Dagblame it...you either believe it or you don't...At least the atheist "claim" exactly what they believe and where they are......If you are a Christian....you Truely believe God' word.....Quit going down the middle of the Highway...Take a Stand...just as Sportfisher said.......LUKEWARM...you know where that will get chaya...Please get off the middle of the fence.....not knowing where you stand or your true beliefs is a cop out and thinking that if you play both sides then you will be OK......get real.
