'Iran, Russia, China, Syria plan massive war game'

Over 90,000 troops from 4 countries due to participate in Middle East's largest ever war game, according to Iranian media.

Photo: REUTERS/Raheb Homavandi Iran, Russia, China and Syria will hold the Middle East's largest ever war game, Iranian news outlets reported quoting unnamed sources.

According to the report, 90,000 troops, 400 warplanes and 1,000 tanks from the four countries will take part in land and sea exercises.

The war games will feature Russian atomic submarines, according to Iranian media, as well as warships, aircraft carriers and mine-clearing destroyers.

Semi-official Iranian FARS news agency stated that the exercise was being planned in coordination with Egypt, which recently acceded to grant the passage of 12 Chinese warships through the Suez Canal. The report stated that the Chinese naval convoy is due to dock in Syrian harbors within the next two weeks.

Regarding the timing of the planned exercise, FARS quoted unnamed Syrian officials as saying the war game would be held "soon."

Iranian news outlets also included details of Russian plans to send two of its Black Sea fleet ships to Syria's port of Tartus to protect Russian citizens. Russian news outlet RIA Novosti contradicted this report, quoting a Navy official as saying the Caesar Kunikov ship did not set course from Sevastopol to the Mediterranean, and that it is rather en route to measure magnetic and acoustic fields, adding that both ships in the Black Sea fleet were carrying out scheduled routine maintenance. Other Russian media outlets also contradicted the Iranian media reports.

I agree with u Randall .... but Obama's cuts in the military is sure to hurt.... and its Not a time for defense cuts. With the past slaps in the face with both Russia and China.... this really scares me for a preempt for WWIII in the coming future.

Now that is going to be an exciting war game. 90,000 troops, 400 ships, someone is going run in to each in the Med. I guess we will just stand off and watch it happen. Of course they will blame Israel for the big accident they will have. Use the opportunity to attack Israel. Some will claim false flag, some will be screaming in the aisles to aid Israel. Go to congress for approval, they can't come to an agreement. Obama does the moral duty and lay waste to the forces attacking the Jewish Nation. He is reelected, brings peace and order to the world. If you were a wargamer then you might come up with a scenario that unfolds something like this. If Russia and Syria have a large force of

troops and tanks and materiel on hand in Syria with a large force of Chinese naval units in the Mediterranean Sea to guard their back door, and

coupling that with a large force in Iran with Russian reinforcements on training exercises or the like, then overunning Iraq from both sides would

be a cake walk. The American forces in Kuwait have no room to maneuver out of Kuwait. Something like the 1950 start of the Korean War is

beginning to take shape as a scenario. If you add the Russian play for South Ossettia in Georgia a couple years back, then you can see the

possibilities at work. The timing could be right for some folks time table to do just that. A completed mission would be a serious fact to undo for

American forces currently in place. Surprise would go along ways toward success of such a scenario. The consolidated power block from that

success added to the lock on oil supplies make it an attractive option to contemplate. The rest of the Middle East would be much easier to

manage for them with that realignment of territory and political power. An acute sense of awareness might be useful at a time like this for

some people. Remember, Maliki and others have a significant connection with Iran and may entertain ideas that reinforce this scenario.

The whole thing might be more believable if it were from

some news source other than Iran.

However, if it happened to be true, why now, why during a

US election, is it a play to effect the outcome?

Showing how weak the current occupier is......that Russia &

China are able to do as they please.

These 2 countries are in the same kind of economic collapse

as the rest of the world.....could it be that they need a strong

business freindly leader in the Whitehouse, turning the entire

global economy around.
