Ron Paul ending his campaign

Dear 40oz,

As I reflect on our 2012 Presidential campaign, I am humbled by the supporters who have worked so hard and sacrificed so much. And I am so proud of what we have accomplished. We will not stop until we have restored what once made America the greatest country in human history.

This campaign fought hard and won electoral success that the talking heads and pundits never thought possible. But, this campaign is also about more than just the 2012 election. It has been part of a quest I began 40 years ago and that so many have joined. It is about the campaign for Liberty, which has taken a tremendous leap forward in this election and will continue to grow stronger in the future until we finally win.

Our campaign will continue to work in the state convention process. We will continue to take leadership positions, win delegates, and carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention that Liberty is the way of the future.

Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted. Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have. I encourage all supporters of Liberty to make sure you get to the polls and make your voices heard, particularly in the local, state, and Congressional elections, where so many defenders of Freedom are fighting and need your support.

I hope all supporters of Liberty will remain deeply involved - become delegates, win office, and take leadership positions. I will be right there with you. In the coming days, my campaign leadership will lay out to you our delegate strategy and what you can do to help, so please stay tuned.

For Liberty,

RPsig.jpg

Current first ballot delegate count :D

Ron Paul...........99

Mitt Romney......949

States remaining primaries 11

Of those, 3 have winner take all Primaries with 262 delegates available

Cali..................172

New Jersey.......50

Utah..................40

Also, of those 11....... 6 are proportional delegates

adding up to 315 delegates

The remaining states have 61 delegates in non binding primaries.

Lets just say for fun, Ron got all of those votes......638.....nope the

math doesn't work.....Romney only needs 195

If Ron Paul really believes that statement then when all is said and done he will encourage his followers to rally around Romney even if that's not their first choice. Because nothing can be worse then another 4 years of Obama.

Romney and Paul don't see eye to eye on anything. I highly doubt he will be encouraging anyone to vote for Romney. I told you a vote for Romney was a vote for Obama. You guys can't beat Obama without us.

I hope you have said that about the other candidates who bowed out earlier for the benefit of the country when it became obvious that the majority of voters available did not support them. RP has some very valid points, but I believe he stayed in too long and perhaps became a detriment to his positions. He lost the majority of my respect when he continued to stroke his ego by staying in the race unnecessarily and taking funds and time away from the Republican party that could be directed towards helping the country as a unified front, rather than having the majority of observers seeing RP as a side-show or distraction.  I do hope (and believe) attention will be given to some of his positions. Like it or not, unless you like O's positions, plans, and goals the country (and arguably the planet) will be better served by Romney. Those of us who remember voting for Anderson, Perot, etc. found that our disgust with the other two major candidates was even more disappointing when the vote was split and the worse of the two evils one. Unfortunately a vote for anyone but Romney (or no vote) may effectively turn out to be a vote for O, and I imagine that if you are a RP supporter you are not a fan of O. - IMHO

Our campaign will continue to work in the state convention process. We will continue to take leadership positions, win delegates, and carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention that Liberty is the way of the future.

Very well said from both of you. Thanks Lutie & Caye98 :D

Cris i do feel the same way but i don't think the Paulers are going to fall in line. My prediction is a total mess at the convention. America is going to say WTH is this product they are trying to sell us. And you know the rest of the story. I figured after Dr Paul suspended his campaign, LD, 40, ScrumD and the Rest of the Paulers would be on here debunking the story. But i think they are waiting for directions on how to address this.

TP You are right

We will not fall in line we march on the road back to freedom

Oh just in case you are interested we don't have to wait for directions .

We are a free people who don't have to get permission wouldn't it be nice if you had the same option.

Freedom is great yall ought to try it sometime.

I can not believe a man of Mr Paul's intelligence would allow another 4 years of President Obama. that is just ridicules for you to even think.

PS I hope who ever us is you are speaking of has a little more common sense.

For any mindless zombies left who aren't on the Ron Paul train and still thinking about voting for Zombie 1 or Zombie 2, watch and learn.

Well with such a compelling, kind, and intellectual offer of welcome, respect, and understanding of those with different views, life experience, and education why wouldn't everyone join you in support of RP? I think you have demonstrated why.

Then you don't believe in integrity. Romney is not change.

First place finishes by plurality of delegates

It's about the popular vote, it's about the convention.

Ya, indirect, like a media scandal. Like throw them some red meat.

You are correct Romney is a master at compromise .

So is Obama.

And all the compromise has had us the loser and them the winner.

If Romney gets elected you will find us going down the same path at the same speed.

We do not need compromise we need a leader with their eyes on the Constitution.

Always compromising is what got us here in the first place.

Compromise with Washington DC and they come back next week to get what they didn't take before

My point is, He will have to compromise with a

Conservative run Congress......Ron would have a harder time

I believe, because of his whaked out positions.

He hasn't been able to convince his colleagues in Congress

in 21 years of work <_<

Since the departure of JFK, this country has not had a single president that was not controlled by the international bankers.

Reagan seemed to want to work for the good of the people, until that assassination attempt, then he fell right in line with the rest of them, doing what he was told.

Right now all the patriots in the country are p155ed off and ready to fight the evil socialists, and if Obama gets in again they will be even more so, and maybe put enough heat on CONgress that those turkeys will have enough fear of God to slow down this country's descent to he11 in a handbasket just a little bit.

If Romney gets in, probably two-thirds of them will go back to sleep. God help us.

Nobody here is more disgusted with the socialist policies being promoted by the current administration than I am, but those of you singing the "Anybody but Obama" tune in support of Romney, have you really taken a critical look at the things he has supported and voted for? Just HOW, exactly, is it so much better?

As for me, I'll write in Donald Duck, for all of the good it will do.

I love how the zombies here still don't see the big picture this late in the game... America will no longer support an international mafia banking cartel ruining the world... if you can't accept that, please find another planet, because the Earth was made for people to be free, not enslaved.

The bad guys have had an "Agenda" for thousands of years... and so have the good guys.

Bix Weir: Where Ron Paul Stands In The Big Picture

Posted By: Coeus

Date: Monday, 14-May-2012 18:50:01

Many people have forwarded me newspaper announcements that Ron Paul has backed out of the GOP race. His actual announcement was that he will stop spending money on new states and WILL concentrate on gaining delegates. Either way people have asked my opinion so here it is:

First, my January article still holds water and it is amazing how many states in which he has gained the MAJORITY of delegates. Here was my analysis of what the plan was by the Good Guys at the beginning of the year:

SPECIAL REPORT: The Good Guy Election Strategy

http://www.roadtoroo...3ekuHZyj1JAZ85B

As far as where we are in this strategy - I would say that "Round One" is just about over and the Good Guys are ready to transition into "Round Two". Read again what I said about Round Two

"Round Two: Some time in the very near future (Late Spring/Early Summer?) we will have the long predicted mother of all banking crashes. It will be like nothing seen before in the history of mankind. A true "Creative Destruction" event and the blame will be placed squarely on the banking cabal and the fiat monetary system. This event will have ramifications on the election process like no event has in our past. Ron Paul predicted it! Ron Paul has told you why! And Ron Paul has your solution America! Overnight Ron Paul will become the most important person in the world and a "Shoe In" for President."

So that's where I think the Good Guys strategy stands...we're primed for THE MOTHER OF ALL FINANCIAL CRASHES!

It makes sense that Ron Paul takes a half a step back in pushing his agenda at this moment in time. It is better if the people of the United States come forward to ask him for his help instead of them feeling like his "agenda" is being forced upon them.

But make no mistake...we need him now more than ever before.

So don't give up faith.

Ron will be walking with us down the RIGHT ROAD in the end!

Congress......well, here we are ;)

Truer words have never been spoken. Romney voters will either get Obama or Paul. If it's Obama, maybe they will think harder next time. Who would want to go down that path though?

Yeah really......calling people names is the lowest form of debate

You can do better than that.

Your arguments would probably have a broader audience if you

could keep them on a civil level.

Using that kind of language really is a last resort, dont you think ;)

Funny clip....one of my favorites

I guess shutting up the people that dont agree with you

is your last resort, behind using invective's......sad <_<

If you had any real arguments, you wouldnt

have to resort to this behavior

Mmmmm right..."shutting you up" is clearly you not having a rebuttal...Romney supporters can't argue with Ron Paul supporters, and there's only one reason why...you guys can't beat the truth.

I'd love to have a healthy debate with you... let's talk about the Federal Reserve System and monetary policy...you go first...what do you think about it?
