zigmeister
Sweety bird it seems Iraq bought some printing presses to print their new currency. Which may explain the high dollar on the delarue machines last summer, perhaps? It was for them a big deal to be able to print their own currency, as they had to have other countries print the dinar in the past. The question for me is, if they have the machines, have they printed some LD's?
the wolf
So if they are postponing the deletion of the zeros, what happens to the theory that has been thrown around that the deletion of the zeros is the removal of physical currency which has been happening for some time as it is part of "phase I". If they are postponing it doesn't that mean that they have not been removing the three zero notes as many have stated? Things that make you go hmmmmm

a1911handler
I used to be in the printing industry. If in fact Iraq has bought whole printing presses (MULTI MILLIONS of dollars for this type of printing) then they will be at least two or three YEARS in the learning curve to be able to print off of them. Unless the press came with a crew, then maybe a year and a half. The technology involved in anti counterfeiting is amazing. The printed medium and all of the items that go into it to make it money are not available everywhere. There are only two or three printing companies in the world that can handle production of such a complex note. Oh yeah, the people running the presses, whose pocket are they going to be in? Because they are literaly printing money. You think there will be any corruption in that office? Probably not, it's Iraq and no one there would ever think of such a thing. Especially not a government official. Whose job it is to print money.

matthew6:19-21
Wait a minute, just a couple of post ago they had postponed the "deletion of the zeros". Now they are saying that they are "intending" to make a decision to postpone the "deletion of the zeros". These people don't know one day from the next. This is Friday, so we get a lot of regurgitated articles from yesterday and this week. Sunday should be interesting.
