Iceland throws out the IMF, and forgives mortgage debt! This is something you won't see on the main stream media. wink.gif

The government of Iceland has forgiven the mortgage debt for much of its population. This nation chose a very different way of stopping the crisis from the rest of European countries. It decided to hear the requests of the population and to put politicians and bankers on the bench of the accused three years after their financial excesses would sank one of the most prosperous economies in 2008. teleSUR

Nice Find RodandStaff, ALL Mortgages are FRAUD, but you won't see that here in the U.S. The Courts, although they throw the People a bone once in a while are in the back pocket of the Banksters. STATE COURTS are Banks themselves and have Trillions invested from stolen property. The People in America create ALL the funds with their signatures and give the banks permission to print Federal reserve notes or Debt. they turn around and give you back your own credit, coning you into signing a Mortgage and signing over your home to them if you don't pay them while they NEVER Loan you ANYTHING. Not only do they Steal your home but they Sell the Mortgage into REMICS (REAL ESTATE MORTGAGE INVESTMENT CONDUITS) changing the Mortgage into a Stock and removing the security in the Real Estate. They also get paid collecting insurance when you stop paying. ALL These banksters should be in Jail. About 1% of the population understands this. To get a good idea of what's really going on people ought to watch the Movie "Thrive" My link

I think we will begin to see this happening all over the world.

The age of Greed and Avarice is coming to a grinding halt!

Those who have assisted in keeping the masses struggling just to have basic human rights; food, decent, affordable housing, a great education and healthcare... will be called to task! The house of cards is tumbling down even as we speak, there is no way it can continue to sustain itself!

I am overjoyed to hear about what is happening in Iceland. We have a different more deadly kind of cold in the US.

It's a good thing that Spring is here!rolleyes.gif

I am not of the opinion that there is only a small pie and not enough to share. I am for baking a bigger pie. There is more than enough for everyone. That is the world I live in and I like it here. If the dollar drops, it will not mean the end of the world. It will mean the world as we know it will change. From where I sit, that's not a bad thing!rolleyes.gif

Our government could learn a lesson from Iceland. Forgive the mortgage debt would assist millions of citizens of the U.S., free up money to purchase items and boost the economy, relieve the stress in the home, thus assisting in saving many families. But this will never enter the mind of our present administration (no matter what party). Wonder what would happen if there was a concerted effort by individuals in the U.S. to file a petition forgive mortgages. If every congress person could be called, twittered, sent a text, and received a letter until October, do you think they would do something?

Jaguar, you nailed it. The 99 have been duped, tricked, defrauded. This Iceland move is just a start. A sleeping giant (the people) is being awakened, and the banksters are heading for the hills, in droves, after stealing a few quadrillion from the people.

Thanks for the find, RodandStaff.

To those of you who understand this better than I.........I understand "they" print money out of thin air and loan it to you with interest. Making more money from nothing. Here's my question, how could you purchase anything without the money printed from thin air? Say the USA forgives our mortgage debt...the older generation is now happy, how does that help out the 20 something year old who wants to start a family, purchase a home, car, what does he buy it with ?

We're a nation that has created some of the greatest inventions ever known in the world, space traveled and pioneered thousands of new frontiers. I think that we can come up with a way to equitably distribute the wealth in this country. If the 20year olds are gainfully employed at a fair wage, not being taxed to death and saddled with debt that they did not create, if they are not paying usury interest rates on credit and $5 a gallon for gas...I think it will be easy to get the home and the car.

Things don't always have to be done the way we have done them.

We can figure out the "how" to move forward if we get rid of the "what" is stopping us.

I have a mortgage that no one coerced me to get--I have a mortgage because I chose to borrow the money to purchase my home that I wanted to purchase--with my own free will--in a location I chose to live in. I purchased a house on a piece of land that I could afford to pay for. Now, where is the fraud??? The problem arrives when people are allowed to purchase more than they can afford and expect others to bail tham out or "forgive" the dept they should never have been granted. Spreading the wealth is a great idea when you are talking about spreading someone else's assets. I work for mine and earn every penny of it and I want to give it where I see fit--that is called charity and tithes and offerings. The only person to blame if I get in over my head is me, and maybe someone stupid enough to loan it to me in the first place. And if I don't pay as I should they would have the right to collect what I said they could if I didn't. So.....hope I made sense.

I agree with that no problem. What I do have a problem is the 20 something year olds being paid with money created out of thin air.

The question is would we be going back to a barter system? You would have to trade something of equal value.

It's very confusing. How could things be turned around to get out of the system we are currently in?

Ronny I evened you out. No one should be neg'd for sharing their opinion esp. if it does not promote hate or bigotry.

I hear what you are saying Ronny.

Unfortunately, there is no one size fits all solution. There are many Americans who through no fault of their own have become unemployed and who are paying more for a home than what they could sell it on the market for. There are all kinds of scenarios out there and not all of them have to do with fiscal irresponsibility.

One thing I have learned is this, our fates are tied together. We are all connected. When foreclosures and homelessness rises it is not just someone else's problem.

We are all in this together.

I agree with that no problem. What I do have a problem is the 20 something year olds being paid with money created out of thin air.

I personally think going back to an asset based currency is the wave of the future. Bartering is already being done on many levels.

I don't have all the answers but with wonderful and open attitudes like yours I know we will find our way!

These are exciting times and times for great opportunity!laugh.gif

This might sound nice, but where do you think the government gets its funds to do such things??? Taxes...

Are you, and your children (and possibly their children or further), willing to pay for the homes that people purchased that were beyond their economic means when they got them because they cannot meet the current mortgage minimums???

If you can show where there would be no liability of debt for anyone, either now or in the future for doing this, I and many others I am sure would love to hear it...

That Mak63 is the trillion dollar question blink.gifand has to do with a whole lot of variables which would change in response to the changing economy. Suffice it to say that it would allow people to eat, live in decent housing and afford transportation and health care cost. I like the term "liveable wage" better.

That question probably depends on whether you are are asking a standard wage earner or union wage earner...

From my experiences with union wage earners over the years, they make 5 to 20 times as much as non-union workers and complain 1,000 times as much...

You had me until you said, "we can come up with a way to equitably distribute the wealth in this country" I do not want to share MY wealth with people who have done nothing to earn it.

You are basically saying that the people who have worked 18 hour days to accumulate the wealth they have, should just share it with all those who don't want to work even an 8 hour day. That is what is wrong with our country now.

The biggest misconception that people have about the wealthy is they spend all their time doing nothing. Wrong, most spend 10-14 hours a day working to make more or keep what they have.

Madam, that is a socialist mindset!!! ANYONE in America, born here or not, can earn MUCH MORE than they NEED by working hard at something they are good at. It is the less productive, "socialized" members of our society that want the rest of us to foot the bill for them. They don't want to "do what it takes" to be successful themselves, ergo the "occupiers" of late. They want to be given things instead of work for them. They want what their parents have worked for tens of years to achieve and build, as 20 year olds. "Spreading the wealth around" is counter-productive to ALL societies........ look at Europe.

The fraud comes, not on your part, it comes on the part of the so called loaner. They never lent you a dime, but it is a long story and way to much to try to explain here, it takes many hours to understand the ins and outs of the banking fraud you signed into. Yes, I agree you did all the right things as most all of did that preceded you. The fraud of the mortgage system needs to be stopped, but that will take getting back to lawful money and leaving this legal tender we are using in the dust. Just think most young people have never seen or used a dollar in their lifetime.

I hate to burst anyones bubble but the Bible says we need to share what we have an abundance of. It does not say give everything you got, it does not say i got mine now you get yours it merely says that we are to help those who are less foruniate than ourselves....This nation, this world has forgotten the golden rule and doesn't live buy it anymore. Greed from every corner including those who have much of nothing and want it all is part of the problem. Now if you don't follow the Bible then i understand why one might think in terms of want it all. I know people that are well off and doesn't give hardly anything to help a cause or charity but they go to church every sunday filling their need to think that God is not paying attention to what they are doing or should be doing and yet they think that they will have a place in heaven when they pass from this world. I'm afraid there's alot of these people gonna be surprised when they are told NO you haven't earned the right to enter. Jesus did not ask much from us and what he did ask was out of love for one another.

Everybody has this attitude that they can handle everything just fine until they get into trouble. The Banksters have rigged the system. Watch this movie and maybe you'll understand your getting raped. The United States has over 114 Trillion Dollars in Debt and Mandates. The U.S. Debt is 15,651,109,600.000, that's 15 Trillion with a "T" If you think there's that much money in the WORLD your dreaming. HOW Did the Banksters Loan All this Money if it doesn't Exist? It's Fiction and every Dollar they Print YOU are paying the Interest on to the Federal reserve Banksters. These same Banksters have inflated the Values of Homes and have Thousands and Thousands of People in Homes that are worth 1/2 what there Mortgages are. The Government benefits as well, Taxing you at these inflated rates. Loose your Job and your done. You'll lose your home and the Banksters lent you NOTHING. We need to get back on a asset or gold backed currency. Go ask Ron Paul, he's the only politician who understands this except maybe his son Rand. If we don't your standard of living is about to get ugly!

We (U.S.) could stop the printing of currency "out of thin air." Create a currency with value and worth is difficult to do, but we can and should do it. The difficulty of a fiat currency will multiply over time; and that is what is happening to the U.S.

Unless things change in Washington, you will continue to be paid with worthless dollars. Voting the administration out may be the best way to get a pay raise.

You purchase everything with you Signature and good credit, the Banksters just take the Credit you created and give it back to you. They get paid by the U.S.Treasury immediately after you sign, but the Banksters do something else, they steal the funds and Invest them. A FEDERAL Reserve Banks Charter is to collect Interest on the National Debt and the Funds that are created should be going back to the Treasury but the Banksters are stealing them. Our Treasury is broke. The U.S. won't be forgiving Mortgages, if anybody does it will be the Banksters and I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. If you remember the article posted by RodandStaff it said that Iceland kicked the IMF out and forgave the debt. When we go back to asset backed currency that 20 year old will be able to buy a house because evertyhing will revalue and be relative.

In the old days... and in certain communities... the older generation helps the younger generation get a start. Remember though.. in those days a "start up home" may be what most would consider a "micro house" (say 10x20), and not a virtual sprawling mansion (by some folks standards anyway). Another way to help young couples out is have a community house raising... the neighbors/community pitches in and builds the house, hence.. no mortgage... my, my, my.... what a novel idea!!! wink.gif
