The U.S. president valued Iraq's positive role in the region, and the joint efforts by the Republic of Iraq and the United States in maintaining and promoting peace and stability in the region. The two leaders stressed the importance of investing the Iraqi- US relations as strategic partners . President Obama emphasized the United States strong commitment to Iraq's national unity and democratic system .
