Valid website, funny story. I checked the website for other IQD stories, and they certainly seem to routinely make fun of the dinar investment. I suppose its their idea of a great april fools day story. Who is right? Time will tell! I still think I will keep my day job! Always wise to have a backup plan.

The "story" unlike most iraq-businessnews stories does not show a source. Maybe Okie sent them the story. For what looks like a credible website, the story seems to lack a bit of body. Well it certainly got me a bit excited for a Sunday evening where there is F/A on tv, but we can hear John Fogarty playing Proud Mary at a live concert in Fremantle some 5 kms away. Goodnight.

Just as the dinar speculators predicted, Iraq has re-valued its currency 1000-fold, making dollar-millionaires of ordinary folk from Anbar to Arkansas!

The unprecedented 100,000% revaluation was welcomed by businesses all across the world, who saw nothing strange about paying $1,000 today for something that was priced at $1 yesterday. At the stroke of a pen, foreign companies now pay their cleaning staff in Iraq more than they pay board-level directors back at home.

Dozens of ‘investors’ in America partied the night away, as news of their windfall came through.

Billy Bob, from Alabama, exclaimed: “I knew it would happen, just like the Lord said it would!” When asked why he only invested $1,000 if he knew it would revalue, he declined to comment.

Peggy Sue, of Butte, Montana, said:

“Wooo hooo!!! I knew if I just said ‘Go RV!’ one more time on an internet forum that it would somehow make it all come true – you just have to believe hard enough!”

Even though it is a valid site and I do find a lot of good articles related to our " speculation" there, I knew immediately that this was an April Fools prank. Two things tipped me off.

1. Being from Alabama myself, naturally I know Billy Bob personally and can therefore attest to the fact that the boy ain't right and has never had so much as two nickels he could rub together, let alone a thousand dollars, and,

2. when they said Iraq RV'ed with the sroke of a pen, I had to laugh. Hell, everyone knows Shabibbi will be using a pretty red button!

It's just mind boggling that some dinarians are able to read this and not immediately identify it as a joke. If you're one of those people, consider staying away from the Internet, you're just going to lose all your money to a Nigerian.

I kind of have no choice but to toot my own horn here: "If it was real I would have emailed you about it."

This article has as little or as much to do with the actual value of the currency as a turtle in the road - in other words, it has NOTHING to do with it. If you're going to get upset at this article, you're also going to get upset when the next guru prediction fails for the 37 thousandth time.

Those predictions, lies, and mistakes have absolutely nothing to do with how much or little our Dinar will go up... the question is this: Do you think it will go up, or not? If not, sell and begone. If you think the value will go up, then by all means hold what you have and chill out.

Thread should be closed, but I think a few of our members need to vent, so I'll leave it open. Keep it respectful.

And on a final note: The OP doesn't deserve to be negged for sharing with the community, OP deserves to be +'d. Show some love and throw the green rocks.
