Thanks, k98, and love the new avatar pic. ha ha, both you and the dog are howlin over this kind of good news. ;)

Good Find 98, This should get them out of Chapter 7, we can only hope.

:blink:

Another article posted today suggested that UN authority might indeed be flexing soon.;) posted by Sweetybird, I think. Yeah, just search for "Un Representative Kubler" to read it (without quotes, nach!)

Anway, basically says the UN will be following up (with authority approved) to make sure talks are every bit as good as the relations seem to have been lately.

Don't we have to wait on next week for the UN visit?

K98, I think this may be the article of the day and here is why in my opinion;

"Kuwait has agreed with the Iraqi side to drop all outstanding debt in exchange for his government's approval on the demarcation of the border with Kuwait in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations."........all ready finished before he left Baghdad

newspaper "the statement" the UAE reported ...........a vary reliable source.....

"the Prime Minister Iraq's Nuri al-Maliki signed a formal agreement .........before he left......with the Parliament...see this next part......

which starts on Wednesday, then submit it to parliament for approval. " According to the same sources, the "Iraqi and Kuwaiti sides have agreed in recent weeks that the fall of Kuwait all the debts owed by Iraq, but compensation for that admits Iraq Kuwait's borders according to UN Resolution 883 of 1993, in addition to the recognition of places of border markers have been erected between the two countries ".

Folks if this is right and I think it is we could see the VII release........in the coming days......

Thank you K98,

ps we can cool that Van of yours out dude, you just wait....

This pretty much settles the issues between the two countries, now we wait for the official announcement of chapter 7 release, thanks for the post.

I don't think we'll see any kind of official release or anything. Remember, they announced that Iraq was freed of all economic sanctions brought on them by the UN SC back in 2010. There were only specific things that needed to be resolved between Kuwait and Iraq so they were put on an unofficially recognized ch. 7 set of sanctions.

I think these articles we are seeing now announcing they have agreed on things ARE the announcements about them being released from those specific post-Ch. 7 sanctions.

JMO.
