Hyperinflation it directly correlated to the debt of a country ....and the ability to pay ones debts ........IRAQ HAS NO DEBT....that is why it was so important to get the world to forgive there DEBT's

get a clue iraq is the rockstar of the emerging markets ........they have 60% to GDP growth for the past two years ....and are projected to triple that in the next 5 years

Good for them. Another thing they have is a currency in a hyperinflated state. Again do you know what that means? They can be rockstars after a RD too. A massive RV will do nothing for them other than put them into debt for generations.

and you need to do more studying in......... 1940 we had 100,000 notes in circulation ( i have one in my safe ) and by 1969 every thing but the 100 dollar bill had ben removed and lead to removing us from the gold standard

the 100 dollar bill was printed in 1966 and replaced the 1000 dollar bill that was removed in 1969

Like all U.S. currency, United States Notes were produced in a large sized format until 1929, at which point the notes' sizes were reduced to the small-size format of the present day.

The original large-sized Civil War issues were dated 1862 and 1863, and issued in denominations of $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100, $500 and $1000.[26] The United States Notes were dramatically redesigned for the Series of 1869, the so-called Rainbow Notes. The notes were again redesigned in the Series of 1874, 1875 and 1878. The Series of 1878 included, for the first and last time, notes of $5,000 and $10,000 denominations. The final across-the-board redesign of the large-sized notes was the Series of 1880. Individual denominations were redesigned in 1901, 1907, 1917 and 1923.

On small-sized United States Notes, the U.S. Treasury Seal and the serial numbers are printed in red (contrasting with Federal Reserve Notes, where they usually appear in green). By the time the small-size format was adopted, the Federal Reserve System was already in place and there was limited need for United States Notes. They were mainly issued in $2 and $5 denominations in the Series years of 1928, 1953, and 1963. There was a limited issue of $1 notes in the Series of 1928, and an issue of $100 notes in the Series year of 1966, mainly to satisfy legacy legal requirements of maintaining the mandated quantity in circulation.

Section 5119(B)(2) of Title 31, United States Code, was amended by the Riegle Community Development and Regulatory Improvement Act of 1994 (Public Law 103-325) to read as follows: "The Secretary shall not be required to reissue United States currency notes upon redemption." This does not change the legal tender status of United States Notes nor does it require a recall of those notes already in circulation. This provision means that United States Notes are to be cancelled and destroyed but not reissued. This will eventually result in a decrease in the amount of these notes outstanding.[27]

Ok, since you have used Wikipedia as your cited source I will do the same:

Although they are still technically legal tender in the United States, high-denomination bills were last printed in 1945 and officially discontinued on July 14, 1969, by the Federal Reserve System.

The Federal Reserve began taking high-denomination bills out of circulation in 1969. As of May 30, 2009, there were only 336 known $10,000 bills in circulation; 342 remaining $5,000 bills; and 165,372 remaining $1,000 bills.

OR

March 25, 1996: The first major design change since 1929 took place with the adoption of a contemporary style layout. LINK

The point was that they didn't remove the notes from circulation in the 1940s as you stated, but rather simply stopped producing them. They were still in circulation long after you stated they were removed.

Not sure what you are talking about with the $100 being printed in 1966, considering that the note was printed with Franklin's image and in it's current size since 1929 (as noted above)... Here is a LINK to a photo of that bill.

There were two things that happened in 1966 with the $100 bill.

First was that it was the only time the small bill was made with a red seal and serial numbers, and it's creation had nothing to do with the $1,000 bill, it had to do with the legislation that had been passed to remove other notes from circulation but they had to have a way to keep the amount in circulation up.. It was the only year that note was ever produced.

Second, 1966 was also the first year that the $100 bill contained the phrase 'In God We Trust' on the back of it. Other notes in circulation had contained that phrase since about 1957, but '66 was the first time it appeared on the $100 note.

In regards to your $100,000 note, I personally doubt that you have one in your safe as, according to numerous sources including the Federal Reserve, they were not notes that were put into circulation for the general public's use, and several sources state that they were illegal for individuals to even legally possess. They were notes that were used exclusively for exchanges between the Federal Reserve Banks. Supposedly there was a total of 42,000 of those notes produced and all have been accounted for, however some are stated to be on loan as displays at certain museums. Even the Federal Reserve Bank of SF lists the bill as 'historical bank transfer note' LINK while other high denomination notes are referred to simply as Federal Reserve Notes no longer in circulation LINK.

Where do you get that Iraq has no debt? They still have around $21 billion of Paris Club debt to pay, and it's believed that their debt to Saudi Arabia is about $30 billion and Kuwait $27 billion. LINK

If there is a source that states that Iraq's debt to all nations has been forgiven in full, that would be great news... But oddly there doesn't seem to be any mention of this anywhere but the dinar forums.

Hey Hopeful, great post.

I once saw on display at the horse shoe casino in Vegas one hundred 10,000 dollar bills. All from the 40s and all consecutive serial numbers. It was truely an awesome sight. Cant remember who was on the front but it was a US treasurer from way back when.

By the way, I have a 100,000 dollar bill in my safe too. Right next to the Holy Grail and my map to Atlantis.

Not sure where you're getting your statistics from in regard to GDP......while I agree Iraq's growth has been good, your stated numbers aren't even close

(Reuters) - Iraq's gross domestic product is expected to grow by an average rate of at least 9.4 percent annually between 2012 and 2016 as the oil-producing country benefits from larger windfalls in oil revenues, a senior central bank official said on Sunday.

Iraq, which has the fourth-biggest oil reserves in the world, is currently producing around 2.9 million barrels per day (bpd). Iraq's oil minister said last year he expected production to reach between 8-8.5 million bpd by 2017.

With prices elevated due to fears of supply disruptions in Iran, the euro zone debt crisis and heightened tensions over political unrest in the Middle East, Iraq reaped a higher than projected $83 billion in oil revenues last year.

Oil prices were at an all-time record for a full year in 2011.

"We expect Iraq's GDP in 2015 to jump to $360 billion from $170 billion currently," deputy central bank governor Mudher Kasim told Reuters on Sunday.

"The reason (for the increase) will come from oil... If the oil sector is developed it will drive the country's development engine."

Kasim said that meant, excluding the oil sector, the economy was expected to grow by at least 9.4 percent.

When asked for the economic growth forecast factoring in the oil sector, Kasim would not give a specific figure but said it would be more than 12 percent.

Kasim told Reuters in October he expected Iraq's GDP growth to jump to 9 percent in 2012 from around 5-6 percent in 2011.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/19/us-iraq-economy-gdp-idUSTRE81I07320120219

According to World Bank, GDP growth hasn't eclipsed 10% per year since 2005.

The CIA says GDP real growth was 9.6% in 2011.

Sounds like you have a very clear idea on the Woman's role in the society....Not much different from what Arab societies think on the same issue, apparently....

Whatever a woman WANTS to do is fine... Cooking at home, etc... As long as she's NOT FORCED and/or EXPECTED with a lot of pressure to do such things...

I love the expression FREE CHOICE..In many places in the world ( not only Arab Countries, I guess) there's no translation of such expression in their local languages when it comes to Women...Unfortunately....

That display is another reason I doubt the holding of a $100,000 note in their safe. If they had been available to the general public, Benny Benion would have likely had 10 (or possibly more) of those notes on display instead of, or possibly in addition to, the exhibit that he did have.

Unfortunately the $1,000,000 set that Benny had was sold off several years ago to a private collector. But, at least it was not broken up and was sold as a complete set.

Remember...you are arguing with THIS guy:

He just called me back and said he was doing the same thing. .....there goes that 170,000 a year hahahahahaahahahaah he said he ant even picking up his tools he is as we speak trying to get a flight .............

O and he cashed in a little over 100,000 and he feels his but puckering wail he try's to collect his thoughts of how to get it all in his pocket .....seems the rule is if it don't fit in your pocket you can't carry it out. Hahahahahaahahahaah what a problem to have I can see his smile thru the phone "

I'm not sure stable and Randalln are ever used in the same sentence.

And if you had a clue of what you are talking about you would know that the banks take your dinar NOW ...moron

and i have made plenty already on dinar ...bought it under 400 per million ....and can sell it for over 1100 per million .....who is the stupid one cool.gif

Hmmm.... Bought it at 'under 400 per million'? I kinda doubt that... Of course, there is a sucker born every minute they say...

But even if you had, and sold it for 1100 per million, you would be losing close to a third the value you paid for it...

400 per million would put the value per dinar at $0.0025 per dinar, while the current rate of 1166 per dinar would put the value per dinar at $0.00085763 per dinar.

You make this statement and you are calling someone else names?

So now you are claiming that you loan your note out to the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.?

Because that is where the photo was taken on June 12, 2009 by Flickr user Jared422_80 using a Canon PowerShot SD850 IS.

How do I know this? Because when you downloaded the image and posted it here, you may have cropped out the text from the original, but the image name, background, dust cover and even the light reflections are the exact same as the image available HERE.

If you had this note, why would you have had to take the photo from someone else's Flickr page?

It wasn't hard to figure out that you were FoS on this...

You are so full of it dude... First you claim the note is yours and is in your safe. Then when it is pointed out that a fairly young guy took the photo and posted it to his Flickr page, it is all of the sudden your dad's note.

How about some words from the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing:

The $100,000 Gold Certificate was used only for official transactions between Federal Reserve Banks and was not circulated among the general public. This note cannot be legally held by currency note collectors.

Ever hear a phrase that revolves around the notion of when you notice you are digging yourself into a hole, just stop digging? You are in that position at the moment. You are just continuing to show how FoS you are on this...

BS, because the person that took the photo never changed the digitally assigned file name that the camera assigned to the image. The likelihood that 2 separate cameras captured an image of the same object and assigned the same file name is beyond astronomical. And that is before you consider the backdrop and currency sleeve being identical.

Then you add in the light reflections being identical, meaning you both would have had to have the exact same light sources and stood at the exact same position when taking the photo further shows the image is not different than the one posted by Jared422_80 on his Flickr page.
