What has happen to this Forum?

Over the last several months I’ve seen a HUGE difference in what is posted here in the Off Topic Forum and to put it bluntly, it turns my stomach. This use to be a fun and nuturing place to hang out. Where we could post funny items, or ask deep philosophical questions of each other, or send out special announcements of what was going on in each other’s lives. While I do still see some of this, it seems more and more it’s been turn into a political and/or conspiracy venue. Is it me or is the vast majority of postings now Anti-Obama or describing how the Government is allegedly screwing with us?

Who among you wants to read this stuff in ad nauseaum? I certainly don’t.

And the other thing, many of these guys who post this crap (I was going to use another word but it would be censored out) go rabid on you when you ask them to either justify what they are saying or in any way question their opinions. Just recently, one of them, Scrumdiddle had the audacity to belittle one of our wisest and kindest members, just because she didn’t agree with him. Enough is enough.

We’ve lost a lot of good people due to this invasion of yahoos. I therefore ask that those of you, who agree with me, be willing to stand with me now and voice your displeasure with what has happen. Let’s take back our form and make it a FUN place to visit.

In addition, in a perfect world, I’d ask that Mr. Montana please consider making a separate form for those postings that have a political/government spin. If he can do it for other topics such as: Soldier stories and Recipes, then I hope he would be willing to also do something similar for these politics/government items. That way, all these guys can have fun raining on each other's parades and leave the rest of us alone!

In all kindness: No one is forcing your finger to click on any particular thread. You cannot demand that others be censored because you do not like what you read. How inappropriate of you. The simple solution, as you have well prescribed previously, is, don't read it.

What a great venue Montana has produced here! I am so grateful for the Dinar news I am able to get here as well as other helpful news and information. I cannot imagine reading Dinar news 'ad nauseam'?

Maybe its time you started your own Dinar Website? Especially since we turn your stomach.

If visiting this website is what you do to get nurtured - than I would prescribe to you to seek counseling, truly. It takes a certain level of education as well as a modicum of maturity, to understand how the insurmountable amount of information within the Internet is to be utilized, applied, enjoyed and appreciated without attempting to control the writers and professionals who produce and participate in it.

The only "displeasure" I personally have at the moment is in the timing of your comments: In our Country we are still mourning and grieving the loss of one of our most talented Artists; especially since you suddenly feel so obliged to call the Dinarvets members a bunch of "yahoos".

Offense is taken - not given. It's your choice.

Awe, i guess i should say i am sorry that you had to read some of the stuff in the Off Topic forum. I am sorry your stomach is turning. I am sorry you think i am spreading false information.

You know what TIFF, last i knew you were in control of your mouse and you know the little button on it that when pushed it will open a topic. Yea, how about you stop using that little button and stop complaining about topics that you have no clue about. How about you leave the topics to people who know what is going on. Here is how i see it, everyone announces there opinion, in writing or a little button neg or pos, however you come on the topic along with your wisest and kindest memebers and stir the bowl of red ants and make crazy extremist comments that state, its not happening, no, its not happening and put false information propaganda to get your point across. I post fact as much as i can, amidst the opinions. There is no article that is completely 100% fact without some type of opinion. I am sorry your mind can not wrap around the truth, nor can you just stop reading the topics that frustrate you. Instead you must come on mostly my topics and cause a stir. So if you do not like what i am writing or posting, DONT READ IT. It really is that simple, tiff.

Oh yea, I conditionally accept your offer that i am posting crap, because you know where that goes, on proof of claim that i am posting crap. Oh also why dont you read some of the comments that your so called wisest and kindest members have said in their comments. Freedom of speech IS freedom of speech however you look at it! As long as it's kept civil I personally see nothing wrong with hard hitting rhetoric.

I respect the admins for keeping many of us in line..., including myself, when we try to defend our positions. Their job is difficult enough ..., we all agree! However..., isn't this what the First Amendment is all about..., the freedom of expression?

As you say and I agree, for facts, best "stick to the Iraqi News link"! However, for many of us who wish to indulge in politics and hard hiiting rhetoric we appreciate the platform Adam has given us. Certainly NOT a link for the light hearted!

My wife and I have been recently wondering why it is that I seem to have such a

knack for P I S S ing people off. I actually took this issue to the Lord in prayer and

here is what I got in response.

...i was referring to the new law that banned any undocumented from attaining work in Alabama. The illigal immigrants that were working in agriculture and elsewhere have had to abandon their jobs and have left the state by the thousands. As a result - the agriculture has gone un-harvested and lost the state hundreds of millions in revenue. They did hire local Alabama citizens in their place to perform that same labor but the Farmers said that they only lasted until noon and then quit.

I agree with Tiff on one part - the "Off Topic" forum has become the default place for Politics.

I've toyed with the idea of creating a new forum. Politics and Conspiracy Theories do tend to go hand in hand...

... but before I'd agree to add a Forum Category like that, I need to give it some thought.

Those topics tend to get VERY heated, and I don't want to "invite" heated arguments into this site.

I think you all know that harsh feelings from the politics section would end up spilling into the rest of the site.

I'm on the fence here. But I want you to know I am aware of the situation, and I am giving it some consideration.

Obviously, all threads have a headline and anyone with a grievance, for what is posted, knew what it was going to be about prior to clicking for entry and if not, found out shortly after the first click and had every bit of a chance to escape. No one holds them down and makes them read anything. People that get their panties in a wad over subjects they don't like, have no one to blame but themselves. Again, thanks for the work you and the mods do to create a most enjoyable and informative site.
