Slight chance they can vote on the budget this Thursday (seems like Iraq can vote on anything when they actually feel like it).

I agree with that - and always believed that. Lack of quorum to me means, "hey guys...nobody showed up again...lets go to lunch, eat camel curry, and talk about it instead." Their funds will not be protected in several months from now so that HAS to be on their minds a little bit. So the quorum did happen - so their meeting became unofficial. Atleast they will be a little more prepared by the 14th...hopefully sooner.

Ah, contrare mon ami. Their funds will be protected by us.

Washington will renew the protection of Iraqi funds after next June

Baghdad, The Iraqi federal government, Wednesday, that Washington will renew the protection of Iraqi funds in the banks for another year in Iraq if there is a real need to protect his money in the United States.
