bb2
My math says that movement made us $3.03 per million dinar owned. Someone help Isn't that about $3,000 made if you had a million dollars?
Doctor Smith
How many ways can a currency that isn't traded gain value against the currency it is pegged to? The thing is. If the Dinar is pegged to the Dollar the value shouldn't change. Except in relation to other currencies. At the end of the day my app says 1164.86 Dinars per Dollars. So I'm not sure what this means? Doctor Smith
Isn't that about $3,000 made if you had a million dollars? No. That would be 3400 Dinars. Not Dollars. (.0034)(1000000 Dinars)=3400Dinars 3400Dinars/1166=2.92 Dollars.
zigmeister
I think we all understand very well the only movement that seems to count is on the CBI site. However the dinar has done some dramatic fluctuations recently far more than the past three years. It may not be forex tradable internationally, but I wonder if it has been cut loose. bb2
From 1169 to 1166 means that it's now 3,000 less dinars in a million dollars. Moving in the right direction.
vomer
For three years the dollar fluctuated and there was NO movement. I doubt these movements are merely a reaction to USD changes. I'm not saying it has nothing to do with the value of the dollar, but there is much more going here. my sentiment exactly
fsmith403
The ID is not moving...the dollar is moving and changing the exchange rate. As has been pointed out many times, these changes mean nothing. The ID is not traded, the dollar is. Finally, someone with some sense!
