Central Bank: currency sales drop to 136 million dollars Sunday auction Branch of the Central Bank of Iraq in Basra 07 April 2019 02:43 PM Mubasher: The sale of foreign currency in the Central Bank of Iraq in the auction held on Sunday, 136.29 million dollars, compared to the sale of the auction last Thursday; $ 155.05 million, a decline of about 18.76 million dollars. The exchange rate was 1190 dinars per dollar, according to data from the Central Bank, in the auction held with the participation of 29 banks, in addition to a financial transfer company only. The Central Bank said in its statement that the sales executed are results on Monday, adding that the total sales totaled 164 million dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq, the volume of funds sold to strengthen the bank balances abroad amounted to 134.79 million dollars, while the total cash sold $ 1.5 million. During the auction on Thursday , foreign currency sales at the Central Bank of Iraq amounted to 155.05 million dollars, compared with Wednesday auction sales of 160.68 million dollars.
