  1. Ramadan 2021 in Iraq will begin in the evening of Monday, April 12, 2021 and ends in the evening of Wednesday, May 12, 2021
  2. Mr. Sistani's office announces the vision of the holy month of Ramadan We are the news120 2018-05-15 # Supreme Religious Reference The Supreme Religious Office of the Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani (Dam al-Warf) predicted that the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan will be on the evening of Wednesday (29 Sha'ban 1439) corresponding to 16 May 2018 in the horizon of the holy city of Najaf at sunset at 6 o'clock (1) and (1 minute), and the percentage of the moon's light section compared to the largest diameter reached by the disc (1.96%). In this case The crescent is expected to be clear. This was stated in the schedule of the dates of the month of Ramadan for the year 1439 AH corresponding to (2018), published on the site of the Office of the Supreme Religious Reference Sayyed Ali Husseini al-Sistani (Dam al-Wallaf) in Najaf. Based on these expectations, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan (1439 AH) will be on Thursday (17 May 2018) in Iraq and the Middle East, God willing.
  3. Rayren98:It was reported that the announcement in the mosque this morning was as follows...."All cards will be distributed and funded by start of Ramadan" which is what was also supposedly reported to the press the other day.
  4. So, I know Adam says NOTHING happens during RAMADAN although he mentioned that he could rethink that statement if things looked good. and... these Muslim religions (Sunni and Shiite) seem to be so devout in their beliefs that they would surely not RV during this most sacred time. Makes me wonder... would they stop fighting during that time??? This whole things appears so convoluted where spite, tradition, anger, greed, which are masked by religion, makes me think that an RV could never happen because of the lack of reason and the hypocrisy of the region. I hate that these extremist (Syria, ISIL (S), IRAN, IRAQ, Libya, Egypt, Afghanistan, etc) spread their doctrine all in the name of ALAH where the greater good seems to be avoided. Honestly, these countries couldn't fight if all the big countries (including us) didn't support them and give them arms. Sorry, just venting. So, again, the question is... will they stop fighting during Ramadan a dong ding dong?
