Turkish sources confirmed the arrival of a Saudi delegation to Turkey as part of a joint investigation into the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi .
"The Saudi delegation is headed by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, advisor to Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and the delegation is expected to hold preliminary talks in Ankara with officials of the Turkish Foreign Ministry and others concerned with the issue," the sources said on October 12, 2018 .
"The Saudi delegation will then travel with Turkish officials to the city of Istanbul to participate in the Turkish investigation, which is centered around the Saudi consulate, where Khashoggi disappeared after entering the afternoon of October 2."
Ibrahim Kalin, spokesman for the Turkish presidency, announced on Thursday that Ankara accepted a Saudi proposal to form a joint working group to investigate the Khashoggi case, which has disappeared since last week.
On Friday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry welcomed Turkey's proposal to set up a joint working group to investigate the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
