The European Parliament endorses the exit of Britain from the Union 22:30 - 01/29/2020 0 Information / Follow up Today, Wednesday, the European Parliament approved the final withdrawal of Britain from the European Union In its session today, the European Parliament approved the exit of Britain from the Union by a majority of votes. Before the vote, Jay Verhofstadt, the Brexit coordinator for the European Parliament, told the European Parliament, “We will miss”, but at the same time he urged lawmakers in Parliament to approve legislation to avoid Britain’s “harsh” exit from the European Union. Verhofstadt saluted the British legislators in Parliament, adding, "It is sad to see the departure of a country that freed us twice, and gave blood twice to liberate Europe." But the parliamentarian expects that Britain will eventually return to the European Union, and Verhofstadt continued: "This is a vote, not a farewell. It is, as saying," Goodbye only. " Earlier last week, European Commission President Ursula von der Line and European Council President Charles Michel signed the British withdrawal agreement from the European Union, after approval by the European Parliament Committee. The president of the European Council said, in his Twitter tweet, on Friday, “Today, I signed an agreement to leave Britain from the European Union with Ursula von der Line. Some things will inevitably change, but our friendship will continue. We start a new chapter as partners and allies. ” 25 n ended https://www.almaalomah.com/2020/01/29/452822/
