  1. The Price of Children This is just too good not to share Here is something absolutely positive for a change. I have repeatedly seen the breakdown of the cost of raising a child, but this is the first time I have seen the rewards listed this way. It's nice. The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from birth to 18 and came up with $160,140.00 for a middle income family. Talk about price shock! That doesn't even touch college tuition. But $160,140.00 isn't so bad if you break it down. It translates into: * $8,896.66 a year, * $741.38 a month, *$171.08 a week. * A mere $24.24 a day! * Just over a dollar an hour. Still, you might think the best financial advice is; don't have children if you want to be 'rich.' Actually, it is just the opposite. What do you get for your $160,140.00? * Naming rights . First, middle, and last! * Glimpses of God every day. * Giggles under the covers every night. * More love than your heart can hold. * Butterfly kisses and Velcro hugs. * Endless wonder over rocks, ants, clouds, and warm cookies. * A hand to hold usually covered with jelly or chocolate. * A partner for blowing bubbles and flying kites. * Someone to laugh yourself silly with, no matter what the boss said or how your stocks performed that day. For $160,140.00, you never have to grow up. You get to: * finger-paint, * carve pumpkins, * play hide-and-seek, * catch lightning bugs, * never stop believing in Santa Claus. You have an excuse to: * keep reading the Adventures of Piglet and Pooh, * watch Saturday morning cartoons, * go to Disney movies, and * wish on stars. You get to frame rainbows, hearts, and flowers under refrigerator magnets and collect spray painted noodle wreaths for Christmas, hand prints set in clay for Mother's Day, and cards with backward letters for Father's Day. For a mere $24.24 a day, there is no greater bang for your buck. You get to be a hero just for: * retrieving a Frisbee off the garage roof, * taking the training wheels off a bike, * removing a splinter, * filling a wading pool, * coaxing a wad of gum out of bangs, and * coaching a baseball team that never wins but always gets treated to ice cream regardless. You get a front row seat in history to witness the: * First step, * First word, * First bra, * First date, * First time behind the wheel. You get to be immortal. You get another branch added to your family tree, and if you're lucky, a long list of limbs in your obituary called grandchildren and great grandchildren. You get an education in psychology, nursing, criminal justice, communications, and human sexuality that no college can match.. In the eyes of a child, you rank right up there under God. You have all the power to heal a boo-boo, scare away the monsters under the bed, patch a broken heart, police a slumber party, ground them forever, and love them without limits, so one day they will, like you, love without counting the cost. That is quite a deal for the price!!!!!!! Love & enjoy your children & grandchildren & great-grandchildren!!!!!!! It's the best investment you'll ever make

  3. As I continued to look this over and all the details my mind went asunder -- I remember as a young girl making a terrarium ?? Is that the right word - one of those plant / insect / inside a glass container thingys -- Looking at these pics from a distance and seeing the hanger enclosed reminded me of that <3 This took a bit of imagination - lots of work and mega bucks but I like it - it is much to the "uneek" side which I do like - I hope you enjoy <3 <3 UNEEK No chance of a tropical storm here then! Incredible pictures show luxury resort complete with sandy beaches, palm trees and clear blue water...inside enormous German hangar surrounded by snow. With sandy beaches, clear blue water and palm trees, this looks like a spectacular and luxurious sun-kissed resort. Holidaymakers can be seen relaxing in swimming shorts and bikinis. Even the occasional flamingo can be spotted. But not everything is as it seems at Tropical Islands. Luxury: With sandy beaches, clear blue water and palm trees, this looks like a spectacular sun-kissed resort Fun: Despite appearances, not everything is as it seems at Tropical Islands The 'resort' is actually located on the site of a former Soviet military air base in Krausnick, Germany. Tropical Islands is inside a hangar built originally to house airships designed to haul long-distance cargo. And despite it looking like temperatures are through the roof - outside the giant hanger it is actually snowing. As these incredible pictures show, the resort contains a beach, a lagoon, water slide and adventure park. Guests can enjoy numerous restaurants, evening shows and can also relax in a sauna. 4. ** RUMOR PROVIDER OCRUSH UPDATE 2-22-13 ** Posted Thursday, 01:30 PM OCRUSH FEB 22 So.......we are looking at another opportunity tomorrow. Let us pray they stop playing politics and focus on what is really needed in Iraq, economic stability for the people. My cousin said Nujaifi has fired a warning shot over the blocs, basically telling them if this does not get approved I will throw the budget back to the governance (council of ministers). Basically starting over. Now this tactic could work if the blocs feel he is serious and he is! We will probably see articles stating the yes's and the no's, just like Wednesday. All we can say is, no one knows what the blocs are going to do at the last minute. They could be cozy and fine today and up until tomorrow and BAM not show up or HICCUP. One positive outlook I found is from the past. Love history......let me show you. The 2010 budget was past on Jan 26, (Tuesday) The 2011 budget was past on Feb 20, (Sunday) The 2012 budget was past on Feb 23, (Thursday) The 2013 bugdet will pass on Feb ??, (????????????) These dates are all fact, here are the articles from reuters. Bottom of the article shows, people have also read. This has the 2010 and 2012 articles. The 2013 budget should be out on reuters immediately after the vote. Let's not forget, this budget has the final tallys from the past budgets. This was never done before. Also, how many times in the past have you all seen so many changes in there LAWS being brought to parliament to be ammendent (infrasruture, planning, tariffs, banking, power sharing, antiquities, flag, anthem, islamic banks....so on:)) SIT BACK! RELAX! ENJOY THE RIDE! IT WILL COME:) Cheers ALL:)) http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE71J1SP20110220?irpc=932
