Shafaq News/ "Car gas" prices have risen steadily this year, while Americans have paid the highest prices in seven years.
The national average price for a gallon of gas was $3.22 as of Wednesday, according to the American Automobile Association, the highest since at least October 2014, and in some places consumers are paying much more than that, with people in California paying at 4.42. dollars, and in the state's Mono County, prices exceeded $5.
A US gallon equals 3,785,411 cubic centimeters (3.8 liters).
The reasons for the rise in gas prices are attributed to the aftermath of the oil recovery, as West Texas Intermediate crude futures, the US oil benchmark, were trading around $77.60 a barrel, after exceeding $79 in the previous session for the first time since November 2014.
