  1. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/april-24-2023 April 24, 2023 Synergy of the Ages I have been personally revisiting some of the significant words and insights I share in my book, An Appeal To Heaven. I relate a significant dream at the end of the book, which I’ve not yet shared on a post, but want to share later this week. Parts of the dream won’t be as meaningful without knowing and understanding some of what God had said to me leading up to the dream. One of them is regarding the synergy of the ages, which I’ve mentioned recently but not taught. I will do so today. My understanding of praying for America increased dramatically in 2001 as I prayed with the student body of a Bible institute. I was concerned that the institute was not walking in the fullness of what its founder, Gordon Lindsay, had established. In response to this burden, I chose to replace one of my teaching sessions with a prayer meeting. As I led the student body in intercession, I heard the Lord whisper a phrase to me, “I need for you to agree in prayer with Gordon Lindsay.” That startled me; Lindsay had died nearly 30 years earlier. “Lord,” I said, “is that really You speaking? He is dead.” The response was simple, “Well, his prayers are not dead.” If you had asked if I believed Gordon Lindsay’s prayers had died with him, I would have said “no.” Yet I had never given the concept of agreeing with them any real thought. Holy Spirit continued, “Until this generation comes into agreement with what he asked me to do, I can’t answer his prayer.” This greatly impacted me. I realized God hadn’t said, “I won’t.” He had clearly said that without this generation’s agreement with Lindsay, “I can’t answer his prayers and do what I promised him.” Later, I pondered this statement in light of Hebrews 11, remembering the heroes of faith listed there along with some of their amazing exploits. Interestingly, however, the passage is also clear that some of those faith heroes did NOT see the fulfillment of their promises. Clearly, they weren’t deficient in their walk of faith; why then did they die without seeing the promises fulfilled? The last two verses of Hebrews 11 give us the amazing answer. They did not receive the fulfillment of their promises because God wouldn’t allow them to be “complete” without us. That is remarkable! Later generations completed these individuals’ callings and assignments. The Greek word translated “complete” also means “to finish; to mature; to reach the intended goal.” (1) Think about the ramifications of this: without us, God can’t “finish” what He began through earlier saints; what He started through them cannot “mature” or “reach its intended goal” until we grab the baton and run our leg of the race. That is mind-blowing! God gave these individuals promises, but He often didn’t give them timelines. He did not tell them He would bring the fulfillment in their lifetimes, although I’m sure most of them expected Him to do so. He makes promises to people, knowing full well He will deliver on those promises through their children, grandchildren, or spiritual descendants. I wonder what I may be finishing for a pastor or teacher from a few decades ago? Or perhaps even for some flag-waving patriot warrior? The generations are far more interconnected than most of us realize. In God’s mind, accomplishing something through our descendants is the same as doing it through us. Our comparatively shortsighted approach assumes every promise He makes will take place momentarily, or at the very least before we die! Meanwhile, God feels no pressure and understands that if He fulfills His promises through our offspring (natural or spiritual), the accomplishments were by us, as well as by them. Back to the Prayer Meeting But Holy Spirit wasn’t finished instructing me in this prayer session at the Bible Institute. He was about to use a seven-word sentence that would rock my finite human mind. I heard Him say, “I need the synergy of the ages.” “You need WHAT?” I wondered. It is obvious by now that this prayer time was wreaking havoc on my preconceived concepts and paradigms! Holy Spirit was making me think outside of my God-limiting boxes. What is the synergy of the ages? I quietly wondered. Synergy is a fascinating concept. Basically, it is the multiplication of power through a combined effort. In almost all cases in the physical world, one plus one equals two. But not when people work together. When two or more people combine their efforts and strengths, power is multiplied - not just added to. God so loves unity and agreement that He created a phenomenon through which power multiplies - if we will work together! Two people who can each lift 100 pounds, can lift 300 pounds or more when lifting an item together. Synergy, however, not only operates in the natural realm; it also exists in the spirit realm. Prayer is one example. Spiritual synergy takes place when two or more agree in prayer. Through the multiplied power, much more is accomplished than would have been had we prayed alone. Leviticus 26:8 teaches us about this power of multiplication, “Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before your sword.” Spiritually, that’s powerful; mathematically, however, it makes no sense. But something unusual and supernatural takes place through agreement: synergy. When we agree in prayer, power grows exponentially. Generational Synergy Synergy also occurs when one generation honors and builds on the previous generation’s accomplishments. Honoring the connection with our parents increases our years on earth (Ephesians 6:1-2), while disconnecting brings curses (Malachi 4:6). Spiritual mantles, another word for callings and giftings, multiply in effectiveness through generational synergy (2 Kings 2:9). God’s plan is always for the present generation to build on the strengths and accomplishments of the previous. This is the synergy of the ages - multiplied power and fruitfulness through generational agreement and honor. In Al Sander’s book, Crisis in Morality!, he compares the descendants of an atheist, Max Jukes, to the offspring of a well-known preacher of that same era, Jonathan Edwards: “Max Jukes...married an ungodly girl and among their descendants were 310 who died as paupers, 150 as criminals, 7 as murderers, 100 as drunkards and more than half of the women were prostitutes. “Jonathan Edwards...lived at the same time and married a godly girl [Sarah Pierpont]. An investigation was made of 1,394 known descendants of theirs. Of these descendants, 13 became college presidents, 65 college professors, 3 United States senators, 30 judges, 100 lawyers, 60 physicians, 75 army and navy officers, 100 preachers and missionaries, 60 authors of prominence, one a vice-president of the United States, 80 became public officials...and 295 college graduates, among whom were governors of states and ministers to foreign countries.” (2) Could any testimony more powerfully make my point? Success, favor, and blessing can multiply down through the generations. But due to our ignorance in this area, we sometimes unknowingly break the generational storyline God is writing. When Holy Spirit spoke to me that day, I was already aware of synergistic prayer. I knew I could agree in prayer with the person next to me, and power would be multiplied (Matthew 18:19). I just didn’t know I could agree with the generation behind me! Generational synergy - the synergy of the ages - was nowhere on my radar. Once God had awakened me to the principle, however, He wasn’t about to stop with a Bible institute. Before He was finished, Holy Spirit would challenge me to reach back to our nation’s founders, agreeing with what He had birthed through them. And when He did, a forgotten flag would be an important part of the process - the Appeal to Heaven flag. Pray with me: Father, as we contemplate the importance of an old flag and how You are using it today, we marvel at Your unusual ways. A part of understanding the flag is realizing how much You honor those who have gone before us, and how much You require us to honor and continue their legacy. We thank You for fathers and mothers in the faith, as well as in the natural. We thank You for the prices paid by those who came before us. And as we do so, we turn our attention to America. The great cloud of witnesses includes people who pioneered freedom and liberty for us, and covenanted with You to carry the gospel to all the world. We ask for revelation of this incredible concept You call “the synergy of the ages.” As we agree with and honor those who have gone before us, we ask for a multiplying of Your power today. Your purpose for America is that it be a powerful voice of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. We boldly declare that America will fully turn back to You, and You will accomplish through her all that You intended in this hour. We pray and declare these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Our decree: We decree that the synergy of the ages is producing powerful and wonderful fruit in America today. ********************************* Portions of today’s devotional were taken from my book An Appeal to Heaven. 2. * 8 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/september-16-2022 (or 17 minute video) September 16, 2022 Interview with Chuck Pierce: Going Up Higher Thank you for joining me today for Give Him 15. We are especially blessed to have a dear friend of mine with us and a person whom I consider to be one of the most accurate and trustworthy prophets in the world - a man whom I greatly believe in, my friend, Chuck Pierce. I’ve asked him here to share with us what he feels the church needs to hear, or even a word for the nation. I tell my friends who join me for these Friday posts, to go wherever they feel Holy Spirit leads them. So, Chuck, I’d like for you to share with us what you’re hearing. But before Chuck begins, I want to start today by commenting on the prayer movement. Chuck and I have been walking together in the prayer movement for 25-30 years. It began as a prayer ministry/movement led by intercessors and people who were called to pray (intercessors), and now it has moved into more of an apostolic movement. Now it’s apostolic intercession. Chuck has tremendous insight into that and has walked through all of it. Share with us about this today, Chuck. Chuck begins to share: “Thank you, Dutch - what an honor to be here with you. I realized that we have co-labored throughout the world and especially across this nation together for 33 years - of course, you’re getting much older than I. We have a long history together. I’d like to share that we are watching God bring a new authority to His people. I believe your ministry has been such a key in that. I believe you serve apostolically for what God wants to do in the nation right now. Dutch, I listen to you first when I pray for this nation. We have moved from the prayer ministry as we began, now into an apostolic watchman ministry. I believe we are watching over the words that have been spoken through the years. We are interceding; a watchman is a prophet who intercedes. I really believe that we have come into a new apostolic realm, even a new authority. Dutch, I believe it’s not a hierarchy thing. I see all of our gifts functioning at a greater level. I believe we are on the verge of seeing our nation coming into an awakening. You have been such a leader in that. “We are heading into a year that is so, so important for us to understand. We are in a season where the voice (what we listen to) is very important. I remember when we used to only pray. Now we also decree and declare, and when we decree a thing, we see it begin to happen. I believe our authority is increasing. It is a picture of this whole historical era we are in right now. We shifted in September 2019, at Rosh Hashanah. Of course, all of you remember March 2020, when God pulled us all aside and said, ‘I need a divine pause to get My people moving in a new way.’ And I believe we are now moving into this in this new way. I thank God for ministries such as yours that keep us doing just that. “But I believe this year ahead is going to be our supernatural year. When I look at Scripture regarding the year ahead, we all need to know that we are coming into a supernatural confrontation. We don’t need to think humanistically, and humanistic religion can wear you down. We need to know that we are coming into a time when it is not just about right versus left, male versus female, culture versus race, but kingdom versus kingdom. We are moving into a supernatural dimension. We have to ask Holy Spirit for a new level of the baptism of His Spirit so we can see beyond, and maneuver with His angelic help as we go into this spiritual war ahead. This whole era of 10 years is about war, and you’ll remember I’ve written several books regarding what God showed me in 1986 of where we would be in 2026. I consider this year a key transitional year for us in the spirit realm, and that is very important. With that, I see that when it comes to kingdom versus kingdom, it also becomes government versus government. We will see the ruling demons behind those governments or the ruling force of the Spirit of God behind government. That summarizes what we’re talking about - the government of God has matured (the Ekklesia), and I believe we now have the backing of angelic hosts. “Dutch, when we were speaking together last time, I saw how God was circling this nation with those angelic hosts. It’s a year of divine recovery. When you look at it in Hebrew, it is a rising up together. We are coming into a new unity in the body of Christ. We are understanding each other’s gifts, rising up together. We must understand how to open up and recover the fortunes that have been taken from us and open up new supply lines.” Dutch shares: “Chuck, that’s incredible, and I believe that. My mind is going in different directions as I listen, and I believe every bit of what you’re saying. I appreciate your insights so much. One of the things I think of almost every time we are together is how God uses the prophetic and apostolic anointings together, and how important it is for us all to listen and hear. Some think of it as being mystical, but it’s becoming as it should be, normal in the supernatural and in the natural - to realize we can receive impressions from the Lord - He actually speaks to us. So when we pray, we desire to say what He is saying. In the higher level of intercession, as far as its scope and realm of authority and warfare we deal with, we know we are praying according to the times and seasons He has us in. We know that if we pray according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14-15). There’s no point in making decrees if we are just decreeing what we want - no reason to make declarations just because we are fired up or excited; we have to know what He is saying. So it seems to me that the prophetic is also going to a higher level. You’ve said before that when we are in service together and when I’m speaking, it awakens the anointing in you prophetically, but when you speak, it awakens the anointing in me - it’s the agreement in the spirit, the coming together of what God does when He mingles these anointings. He takes them to a new level! And I think that happens not only for people who have corporate leadership, but also in prayer meetings and intercession groups - the more we come into agreement at a heart level, our anointings mingle, our authority increases, and God does just what He says. I love what you said - that as we work together in unity, we bring out the anointings and gifts of God in each other.” Chuck replies: “See - you just described where we are headed. In the last season, we thought we could do unity. Well, that’s not unity. I think you and I are a great example of unity. I submit to your apostolic gift as well as your teaching gift. We are all learning to submit to the gifts, learning to submit to the highest anointing in the room or in the meeting, or in a strategic gathering where we are dialoguing over how to advance. Submission means we are standing under. I stand under your gift when I’m there with you. But we are also resisting. Resisting means we are standing against. If we didn’t have an alignment of our giftings, I personally could not resist the enemy at the level that I do. But because of submitting to God’s order of giftings, we gain great resistance, and then the devil has to flee. “I believe it’s been one of the problems we have not understood, and the Lord says this, “No greater faith have I seen in all of Israel than those who understand authority” (Matthew 8:10). The centurion soldier understood authority. But faith works by love, and I believe as we start to walk in unity, we will love and honor each other's gifts in a way we haven’t done before. True unity will give us a power we hadn’t had before. We must have it in this supernatural season that we are in.” Dutch responds: “That’s so good, Chuck. I appreciate your insights. “When I minister at your church, I have no explanation for what I experience. I know I step under a prophetic portal there, and it’s a mingling of our gifts. I move into such a stronger prophetic anointing in my delivery of the message God has given me when I’m at Glory of Zion. There are 2-3 other places where I also sense this, but nowhere at the level of it happening as at GOZ. But it’s an example of what you just said. I bring myself under that authority that you walk in prophetically, and it opens something up in me. We pray, decree, and resist the enemy, and things start breaking open. It’s remarkable. It’s exciting to hear you say that God is going to do this at new levels. When I honor more leaders - my brothers and sisters in Christ and bless them - the more God opens things up for me. It’s just a spiritual principle, and there’s no way to get around it.” Chuck shares: “That’s what David did. Samuel anointed him, but it wasn’t until years later, when Ziglag happened - which you teach on - that he recovered everything. David honored those who helped him get to the place where he was. When he did that, and he gave to all of those people, the next level of anointing came. Then 7 years later, the next level came. “We are in the process - people get ready - we are about to get our next level of anointing, and it’s going to bring us into a supernatural realm where we can take territory, where we can increase and move forward. One day, I’d love for us to talk about the spiritual warfare that’s going to happen at a new level this year. When I say that, I’m referring to the victory end of how we are going to walk in spiritual warfare and overcome the things we have dealt with. “Dutch, I prayed for you today regarding when you addressed the spirit of Baal so many years ago. But this year, we are going to be dissecting Baal’s throne. See, you had to address it in one season, and we have to now mobilize and dissect that throne. It’s not just divorcing ourselves from Baal (for more on this, see GH15 July 22 2021 and GH15 July 23, 2021). We have to dissect how Baal is ruling in a territory, and that is going to be so key as we approach this year and move into things. You are going to get revelation like you’ve never gotten before, and I’m now prophesying that to you. You’re going to go back to things you’ve decreed and dissect them, getting strategy for the assignment this year. We will have supernatural, angelic help in it. Dutch, when we were speaking recently at the gathering in Charleston, one of the greatest strongholds in America where the civil war began, we realized things happened there that tried to set this nation on a wrong course. God is going to begin dissecting things like this, and reversing them. And we are going to see divine recovery and a new path of supply begin to be opened.” Dutch responds: “This is incredible, Chuck. If you would, pray that over all of us. Let’s tap into that right now.” Chuck begins to pray: “Father, I thank You for everyone who is hearing these words and giving a portion of their best to You, Lord, on this Give Him 15 - they are giving a portion of their lives. “I decree right now, that as they listen today, they will have a new supernatural opening of their gifts within them. I decree a new alignment of the gifts within them. I decree that we will see what we have prophesied in the past will manifest, and we will begin to see it moving into place and materializing before our very eyes. I say faith will become sight this year. In Jesus' name, Amen.” Dutch ends by saying: “Chuck, thank you for joining us today. Friends, I’m putting a link to Chuck’s website at the end of today’s post - he has some great books you should check out. We will see you on Monday.” ***************************** To find out more about Chuck Pierce, go to his website: gloryofzion.org. Click on the link below to watch the full video.
  3. 7 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/august-15-2022 August 15, 2022 Over the past couple of years, we have shared hundreds of Give Him 15 posts. They have come from God’s mandate to equip the Ekklesia so we can pray for America more effectively. From time to time, we will be sharing our most requested posts. Some will be strategic teachings, key parts of America’s prophetic history, important concepts we are learning as the Ekklesia, and occasionally, even prophetic dreams Dutch feels we need to keep in remembrance. Thank you for being part of the GH15 family. Continue praying for America and enjoy these great teachings. The DSM Staff Agreeing with the Cloud of Witnesses My journey regarding the Appeal to Heaven flag began as I spoke to the student body of a Bible institute in 2001. I was concerned that the institute was not walking in the fullness of what its founder, Gordon Lindsay, had established. To be clear, it was not an issue of sin; the school was not in an apostate state. The institute was full of good administrators, faculty, and students who loved Jesus. I simply realized that, just as happens to all of us from time to time, the school was experiencing less than what God intended it to experience and needed a stronger connection to its roots. In response to this burden, I chose to replace one of my teaching sessions with a prayer meeting. As I led the student body in intercession, I heard the Lord whisper a phrase to me, “You need to agree in prayer with Gordon Lindsay.” That startled me; Lindsay had died nearly 30 years earlier. “Lord,” I said, “is that really You speaking? He isn’t here; he’s in heaven.” In retrospect, it’s comical to try and explain something to the Lord, but I felt I needed to state the obvious. “He’s dead, Lord,” I reiterated. The response was simple, “Well, his prayers are not dead.” That really impacted me. If you had asked if I believed Gordon Lindsay’s prayers had died with him, I would have said “no,” yet I had never given the concept any real thought. Holy Spirit continued, “Until this generation comes into agreement with what he asked me to do, I can’t answer his prayer.” This greatly impacted me, as I realized God hadn’t said, “I won’t.” He had clearly said that without this generation’s agreement with Lindsay, “I can’t” answer his prayers and do what I promised him. I began to ponder Hebrews 11, remembering the heroes of faith listed there along with some of their amazing exploits. Interestingly, however, the passage is also clear that some of those faith-heroes did not see the fulfillment of their promises. This has always seemed somewhat contradictory to me. When God searched history to accent greater lives of faith, He chose to list some that did NOT receive the fulfillment of their God-given promises. These people went to the grave with unrealized promises from God, yet they had truly believed, even making it into the great Hall of Faith. Clearly, they weren’t deficient in their walk of faith; why then did they die without seeing the promises fulfilled? The last two verses of Hebrews 11 give us the amazing answer; they did not receive the fulfillment of their promises because God wouldn’t allow them to be “complete” without us. That is incredible! We, today, are a continuation of these individuals’ callings and assignments. The Greek word translated “complete” also means “to finish; to mature; to reach the intended goal.” Think about the ramifications of this: without us, God can’t finish what He began through those saints; what He started through them cannot mature or reach its intended goal until we grab the baton and run our leg of the race. That is mind-blowing! God gave these individuals promises, but He often didn’t give them timelines. He did not tell them He would bring the fulfillment into their lifetimes, although I’m sure most of them expected Him to do so. The eternal God, who transcends time, speaks promises that are sometimes more reflective of His nature and relationship with time than ours. At times, He makes promises to people, knowing full well He will deliver on those promises through their children, grandchildren, or spiritual descendants. I wonder what I may be finishing for some pastor or teacher from a few decades ago? Or perhaps for even some flag-waving patriot warrior? The generations are far more interconnected than most of us realize. In God’s mind, accomplishing something through our descendants is the same as doing it through us. Our comparatively shortsighted approach assumes every promise He makes will take place momentarily, or at the very least before we die! Meanwhile, God feels no pressure and understands that if He fulfills His promises through our offspring (natural or spiritual), the accomplishments were for us, as well as for them. Conversely, the opposite is also true. The actions and accomplishments of individuals in former generations are sometimes credited to those who follow. Hebrews 7:9 states that the descendants of Levi paid tithes through their great, great grandfather Abraham. I wonder what blessing we’re experiencing today that someone else paid for! There is an aspect of our spiritual walk that stretches beyond the boundaries of our window on earth. We can connect spiritually with past events before, and we can affect future happenings through our actions today. But Holy Spirit wasn’t finished instructing me in this prayer session. He was about to use a seven-word sentence to rock my finite human mind. These seven words stretched my thinking yet again, and have resonated in me ever since: He said to me, “I need the synergy of the ages.” “You need WHAT?” I immediately responded. It is obvious by now that this prayer time was wreaking havoc on my preconceived concepts and paradigms! A 13-year journey was beginning with a series of theological brainteasers that, fortunately, were making me think outside of my God-limiting boxes. What is the synergy of the ages? I quietly wondered. Synergy is a fascinating concept. Basically, it is a multiplication of power or effect through a combined effort. In almost all cases in the physical world, one plus one equals two. But not when people work together. When two or more people combine their efforts and strengths, power is multiplied - not just added. God so loves unity and agreement that He created a phenomenon through which power multiplies if we will simply work together! Think about it - if five of us can chase a hundred, that means each of us is responsible for twenty. At that rate, a hundred should chase two thousand, not ten thousand. But something unusual and supernatural takes place through agreement: synergy. When we agree in prayer, power grows exponentially. Synergy also occurs when generations connect. Honoring our parents increases our years on earth (Ephesians 6:1-2) while disconnecting from them brings curses (Malachi 4:6). And when He did, a forgotten flag would be an important part of the process. I’ll describe that notable introduction soon. “Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen. This testimony of faith is what previous generations were commended for” (Hebrews 11:1-2 TPT). Pray with me: Father, as we contemplate the importance of an old flag and how You are using it today, we marvel at Your unusual ways. A part of understanding the flag is understanding how much You honor those who have gone before us. And also how much You require us to connect with and continue their legacy. But we also know this can be cleansed by the blood of Jesus, and believe much of it has been. And as we now look forward, we ask for revelation of this incredible concept You call “the synergy of the ages.” As we embrace and honor those who have gone before us, we ask for a multiplying of Your power today. Let that translate into the fullness of Your purpose for America: being an incredibly powerful voice of the gospel of the kingdom to the ends of the earth. And we boldly declare that no effort of darkness will stop this. America will fully turn back to You, and You will accomplish through her all that You intended in this hour. We pray and declare these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen Our decree: We decree that the synergy of the ages is producing powerful and wonderful fruit in America today. ****************** Portions of today’s post were taken from my book An Appeal to Heaven.
