The intro of tye 50,000 notes will make it possible in a couple of months to remove large denom notes of 25,000 notes and probably all the 5,000 notes...I could see this happening in the next 90 to 120 days, which would put us into early fall. At this time I would hope to see the annoincement of the change of tye exchange rate. Guru Enorrste says no RV anytime soon. What are your thoughts?

If true...it looks like a 1 to 1. Note: this is not a RI if true...A RI would be the old pre Sadam exchange rate near $3.20.

Luigi says...It is looking like GOI has squandered yet another great RV window of opportunity as April comes to a close . May is not looking very promissing either. There are still some Bills awaiting more reading before going on to Gazette. If GOI can't get it done by the end of June then the next obsacle will be mid July the beginning of Ramadan. Shabibi is on record stating the 1st quarter, 3rd quarter or Islamic New Year are the ideal RV moments. ...this still could happen at any time. That being said…These citizens are EXPECTING back pay including the raises which are at the least 400,000 IQD per month. Then Abadi announced a few days ago that starting July all payments will be made on time. Another law we are waiting on. A law in parliament that assures the complete independence of the CBI from the GOI. We have seen references to a law of independent bodies. Before any real international confidence of foreign capital is viable, it's own citizens must have the confidence and "believe" in the viability of the internal banking system and STILL Iraqis are skeptical of its own banks. All this equates to months of sorting out paths to get out of deep holes. It is therefore "wild speculation" to think Iraq can ( in the foreseeable future) regroup fast enough to execute any serious monetary reforms and enter the international arena with a stable, sustainable and increased rate of it's currency rate to compete in direct proportion ( peg) to other major currencies of the world .

Luigi says there is no evidence in the news of any RV process starting. Treat as another rumor. 4-20-15 TNT Tony: Friday...we heard...that the Iraqi banks were open and doing early exchanges... Iraqis were excited because their banks had never been open on the holy day. Many people went to the bank and people got their lower denominations and fils and everyone was excited. They were hearing the process had started and we were told it was actually going through this time. Luigi's guess is that the banks will stay open for the next few holy days to give Iraqis some extra time to turn in their 50 Dinar Notes by end of month.

The House of Representatives voted nine minutes of the 2 legislative to draft the budget 2015, law, the value 119.5 Trillion Dinars and a defict of about 25 Trillion. So there it is...finally...wooopow...the budget is law. Luigi says...its in the current rate not the new RV rate. Lets not celebrate just yet.

Hearty said in a press statement that the Iraqi Dinar exchange rate against the Dollar will improve in the domestic market during the next two days.as a result of the Central Bank to increase the sale of the Dollar, He said. Adding that prices fell yesterday from 1136 to 1128 Dinars to the Dollar.
