  1. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/february-6-2023 February 6, 2023 Patton and Prayer We are in a “winner take all” spiritual war for the soul of America. The Left certainly knows this and has pulled out all the stops. They no longer even attempt to masquerade their attempts at taking over our nation. Winning by persuasion and numbers alone is no longer their plan; they also use force, laws, lies, and intimidation. The fruit of allowing humanistic ideals to control our nation is now in complete manifestation: God is “allowed” only in homes and churches; education has devolved into leftist indoctrination and recruitment; amorality prevails (which is what humanism teaches); the Bible is not recognized as the infallible Word of God, and its principles are considered antiquated; America - at its roots - is considered bad/evil, socialism is good; the media cannot be trusted; law enforcement is evil and violence is to be tolerated; truth no longer matters, lying to advance an agenda is perfectly acceptable. The average American, even those who do not profess to be Christians, shakes her or his head in wonder asking, “How did we get to this point?” The strongholds which now exist will never be fully overcome only in the legislative chambers, courtrooms, and classrooms of America. A Third Great Awakening MUST occur to reawaken the conscience of millions in America. Yes, much else must be done, but without an awakening, there is no solution. The awakening has begun and is being produced by the preaching of the Gospel of Christ, declaring God’s word, prayer, fasting, spiritual warfare, and obedience to God and His Word. All of these activities release spiritual power. One of the people I learned the most about regarding prayer, Gordon Lindsay, said the following about spiritual warfare: “I pray at least one violent prayer every day.” He was referring, obviously, to Matthew 11:12: “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” This verse is not speaking of physical violence. It is referring to the release of spiritual power/violence, in the spiritual realm, to tear down spiritual strongholds. Lindsay took literally Christ’s statement that we would use His authority to bind and loose demonic powers. (Matthew 16:18-19) He did so daily, and the fruit of his prayers is immeasurable. The world is different today because of the ministry and life of Gordon Lindsay. Our amazing friend, Quin Sherrer, wrote the following regarding prayer and the spiritual battle we are in, highlighting General George Patton. Quin quotes him as saying: ‘“I am a soldier. I fight where I am told. I win where I fight.’ That quote by General George S. Patton is displayed at the museum honoring him at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. “An intercessor friend who saw it during a visit there commented: ‘That should be our attitude when fighting God’s enemy through prayer and spiritual warfare, especially with what’s happening in our nation. God needs Christians with a warrior’s spirit,’ she said. “‘Patton attended the Virginia Military Institute and the United States Military Academy at West Point. He studied fencing and designed the M1913 Cavalry Saber, more commonly known as the Patton Saber. He also competed in the modern pentathlon in the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden.’(1) As a U. S. Army general, Patton’s leadership was strategic in winning battles. “‘George Smith Patton Jr. (1885–1945) was a general who commanded the Seventh United States Army in the Mediterranean theater of World War II, and the Third United States Army in France and Germany after the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944. ‘“Patton conducted a highly successful rapid armored drive across France. Under his decisive leadership, the Third Army took the lead in relieving beleaguered American troops at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge, after which his forces drove deep into Nazi Germany by the end of the war.’(2) “Some of Patton’s language to his troops was laced with words that ladies at afternoon tea would not approve, he once admitted. But he said his men did. ‘Patton's philosophy of leading from the front, and his ability to inspire troops was usually favorably received by them…[His] colorful image, hard-driving personality, and success as a commander were at times overshadowed by his controversial public statements.’(3) “Biographers say Patton believed in prayer. Here is one of his statements for his troops: ‘Urge all of your men to pray, not alone in church, but everywhere. Pray when driving. Pray when fighting. Pray alone. Pray with others. Pray by night and pray by day. Pray for the cessation of immoderate rains, for good weather for battle. Pray for the defeat of our wicked enemy whose banner is injustice and whose god is oppression. Pray for victory. Pray for our Army and pray for peace. We must march together, all out for God.’(4) “General Patton once told his men, ‘You must acquire the warrior’s soul.’ Here is another strong quote of his: ‘There are three ways that men get what they want; by planning, by working, and by praying. Any great military operation takes careful planning or thinking. Then you must have well-trained troops to carry it out: that's the working. But between the plan and the operation, there is always an unknown. That unknown spells defeat or victory, success or failure. It is the reaction of the actors to the ordeal when it actually comes. Some people call that getting the breaks; I call it God. God has His part or margin in everything, that's where prayer comes in.’(5) “Prayer and spiritual warfare must be used when God’s enemies and ours, satan and his demonic forces, attempt to wreak havoc in our families, communities, and nations. We battle the enemy to break his assignment, using the weapons God has provided for us: His Word, the name and blood of Jesus, Holy Spirit’s power. “Paul instructs Christians that their struggle is not with flesh and blood but with invisible principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. He says to resist the ‘wiles of the devil’ - the enemy’s evil schemes - by putting on the whole armor of God, taking a stand, praying in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests, and staying alert. (Ephesians 6:18 NIV). “Of course, Christ’s victory over satan is complete. Yet, we have a role in enforcing that victory. God is looking for those with a ‘warrior spirit’ to see corruption unveiled and truth prevail in our nation.” ‘How does this warrior spirit translate into action today against the spiritual giants of our land? Obviously, it begins with prayer - spiritual warfare. But there is more. Standing for truth, voting out of office individuals with unbiblical ideals, giving to righteous causes, speaking out against all that oppose the rule of God, loving our enemies - overcoming evil with good - all are ways by which we war.(6) **************** Jesus won, we are enforcing His victory, and we will see the full manifestation in our lives and nation. Pray with me: Father, as we stand in the gap for our nation, cities, and families, we declare that the power of the blood of Jesus breaks every chain of bondage. Let every scheme of evil be exposed and thwarted before they can be carried out. We declare that no weapon formed against our nation shall prosper. Every tongue that would rise up against us in judgment will be exposed and cast down. We pray for the manifold wisdom of God to rest upon all who are in authority over our country. May truth and discernment guide every decision they make in their public and private lives. May unrighteous officials currently in office be replaced by those who will serve with integrity. We cry for justice and mercy, truth and righteousness to be established. We decree that the enemy’s tactics and assignments aligned against our citizens and country will be exposed and demolished. Justice will prevail. Christians across this land with a warrior’s spirit will continue to cry out and stand in the gap, ushering in the next Great Awakening with a great harvest of souls. We thank You in the name of Jesus. Amen. Our decree: We decree that we are more than conquerors through Christ! **************** Portions of today’s post were contributed by our dear friend, author, and seasoned intercessor, Quin Sherrer. 2. 4 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/march-22-2022 March 22, 2022 Pray for America’s Judges “Pray for all men with all forms of prayers and requests as you intercede with intense passion. And pray for every political leader and representative, so that we would be able to live tranquil, undisturbed lives, as we worship the awe-inspiring God with pure hearts. It is pleasing to our Savior-God to pray for them. He longs for everyone to embrace His life and return to the full knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4 TPT) When writing the New Testament, Paul makes it clear to us that we are to pray for our leaders, spiritual and governmental. There is no one who needs prayer more than the nine justices who have been appointed by our American Presidents to judge right from wrong and interpret the U.S. Constitution. There are other judges, besides those nine, who have been elected and appointed to these offices in each of our 50 states. They are there to listen, use the wisdom they have gained through study and interpretation of law, and make rulings. Many of these rulings affect each one of us. Therefore, it’s crucial that we pray for them, asking God to speak to and through them. This is what our good friend Quin Sherrer shares with us: “There are hundreds of good, honest men and women who serve in our nation as judges—people with integrity who make just decisions. We bless, applaud, and thank them. Sadly, some judges make dangerously wrong ones. “In 2 Chronicles we read about King Jehoshaphat who wanted good judges. When he returned safely to his house in Jerusalem after a battle, he set judges throughout all the fortified cities of Judah. City by city. “He told them, ‘Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for mere mortals but for the LORD, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. Now let the fear of the LORD be on you. Judge carefully, for with the LORD our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.’ (2 Chronicles 19: 6-7 NIV) “Judeo-Christian beliefs that our early settlers brought with them helped to form the foundation of our system of laws. Later in 1789, the U.S. Supreme Court was ‘ordained and established’ under Article III of the U.S. Constitution. There were six original justices. Today we have nine. “When there is a vacancy on the Supreme Court, a new justice is appointed by the U.S. President and confirmed by the Senate. He or she holds the office for life or retirement. “Today we have two court systems in the United States: (1) the Supreme Court and the lower federal courts, and (2) the state courts. Federal judges, who act on some of the most significant issues affecting the American people, have wide authority and discretion in the cases over which they preside. 1 “‘As the Supreme Court is the highest court in the land, all decisions and outcomes are final and a case that goes to the Supreme Court must first pass through several other courts… [It] has the power to investigate, question and overturn cases that were decided in lower courts. [It] can also judge the actions of federal, state, and local governments. If the Supreme Court feels that another area of government is acting unconstitutionally, they may investigate.’ 2 “At the Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C. you will see ‘Equal Justice Under Law’ written above the main entrance. Engraved in stone above the Chief Justice’s seat is a display of the Ten Commandments. When the Marshal announces the beginning of each court session, he ends his speech with, ‘God save the United States and this Honorable court.’ 3 “Thousands of judges across our nation need our prayers. When government agencies attempt to strip away our freedoms, even blatantly acting against our Constitution, we must cry out. And we pray that judges will make just decisions, not unjust ones. That righteousness—not evil—will prevail in our nation. “We must especially continue to pray for the Supreme Court justices whose final decisions affect so many of us—we, the people—and even the unborn.” One of our most conservative Supreme Court Justices serving us today is Justice Clarence Thomas. Justice Thomas is 73 and has served us since 1991 when he was appointed to the Court by President George H.W. Bush. This past Friday, Justice Thomas was admitted to a Washington hospital after experiencing flu-like symptoms. He does not have Covid, but was diagnosed with an infection and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics. He is responding to the treatment and hopefully will be discharged soon. 4 Today, let’s pray for Justice Thomas and the other judges who are in positions of leadership and authority. Pray with me: Thank You, Lord, that our Founders established three branches of government to ensure there would be a balance of powers. We pray for Supreme Court justices, and for the thousands of judges serving across America in federal, state, county, and municipal courts. May they not be swayed by prejudice, political opinion, or malicious outside influences. Lord, as our courts come into alignment with Your will, also cause needed changes to be established in all levels of our correctional system. We ask for the salvation of those on the bench who don’t know You, and for Sauls to be transformed to Pauls. Thank You for awakening believers to pray for these reforms to happen, and to vote accordingly. May all forces of evil in our judicial and correctional systems be abolished, in Jesus’ name, Amen. 5 Our decree: We decree that a visitation from Yahweh is coming to the judicial branch of our U.S. government. ************************* U.S. Supreme Court Justices: Chief Justice John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Steven Breyer (has announced retirement but will serve until his replacement is decided), Brett Kavanaugh, Elena Kagan, Clarence Thomas, Sonia Sotomayor, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett. ************************* Today’s post was contributed by Quin Sherrer. 3. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/december-7-2021 December 7, 2021 Last Week’s Supreme Court Case Thank you all for being part of the prayer army God is raising up in the earth. Of course, we must do more than pray, but prayer feeds everything else. As part of that army, I was in Washington, D.C. all last week praying with others. This is my first post since returning from DC. Yesterday’s post had to be written well in advance in order for my staff to not have to work the weekend. (Monday’s posts must be completed by the end of Friday’s workday.) The week was a mix of emotions for me. I have given much of my life to see America turn back to God and recapture her destiny. A huge part of this turning will be the reversal of Roe v Wade. As I walked for hours around the Supreme Court praying, I had time for much reflection: the wins and losses, victories and defeats; countless attempts to motivate and energize what - at times - has been a non-praying and self-focused church (by no means the only one doing so); watching the prayer and prophetic movements used by Holy Spirit to change this, and seeing the tide slowly turn. As I prayed and pondered, I couldn’t help but think we had come to a Mount Carmel moment (see 1 Kings 18). Mount Carmel was the place of Elijah’s confrontation with the Baal structure, led by wicked Queen Jezebel and her weak, enabling husband, King Ahab. The real power structures at play were spiritual, one being the principality behind the god named Baal, and the principality working under him, known as Jezebel. (Revelation 2:20 makes it clear that Jezebel was/is actually a spirit, whom Holy Spirit identified by giving it the name of Queen Jezebel). The other power at work was Yahweh, the Most High and Almighty God. No contest. The issue was never who the true and living God was - Baal or Yahweh. The issue was the need for Yahweh to bring repentance in order to cleanse and realign Israel. Ultimately God doesn’t work around us humans; He works with and through us. And a part of that is the cleansing of our hearts, as well as the land we defile. All of this takes time, sometimes decades, as pain leads to desperation, which produces open-mindedness, which allows revelation and repentance to be generated. Israel had experienced this process by the time of 1 Kings 18. I believe at least a remnant of the Church is at this place now. As I walked around the Court, I found myself praying: Lord, tear down this temple of Baal. I wasn’t referring to the literal building, of course. I was referring to the evil system of control over America, led by a principality, who is empowered by the shedding of innocent blood. This Baal structure has done much to remove God’s influence in and over America through evil laws and rulings. The most shameful, sickening, and abominable of all Baal instigated rulings were Roe and Casey, the decisions that legalized and upheld the torture and murder of babies in the womb. As I stated, I believe last week was our Mt. Carmel showdown. On that mountain, Baal failed, God prevailed, Israel repented, and a new era began. Now for a warning. Jezebel’s reign did not end for another 12-13 years, giving her - and the spirit behind her - time to partially regain her hold. Why? Elijah grew weary and discouraged in the ensuing days and didn’t finish the job of removing her. God raised up Elisha and Jehu to finish the job, which they did 12 years later. For us today the lesson is clear. We must not back off; we must finish this. I learned on this trip to DC that just because the Justices met to vote on Friday (December 3), the case is not yet settled. It will not become a legal ruling/law until it is announced, probably next summer, and any Justice can change his or her vote at any time between now and then. Much pressure is often placed on Justices to do so by their colleagues on the bench. Many believe this actually happened with Kennedy in the Casey case, and with Roberts in the Obamacare ruling. In other words, we could have won Friday’s vote yet lose the case in June, or whenever the final verdict is rendered. We must not let this happen! There are many who believe, based on the questions at the hearing, that 5 Justices (Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett) were signaling a willingness to overturn Roe. They believe that Roberts was signaling a willingness to give Mississippi a win by changing the viability time to 15 weeks, meaning they would be able to make abortion illegal after that point of the pregnancy, but not overturn Roe. Nothing is guaranteed - these are educated guesses. However, if it is true, they believe Roberts will be pressuring either Kavanaugh or Barrett to change their vote so Roe will not be fully overturned. I’ve already heard of one prophetic warning that this was occurring. We would accept the 15-week ruling as a partial victory - it would stop many, many abortions - but what we really want is Roe to be reversed. I will be posting much over the coming months to generate continued prayer regarding this. We must not let up! Pray with me: Father, thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for remembering mercy in what has had to be, at times, great wrath (Habakkuk 3:2). We have asked many times for Your forgiveness and cleansing regarding abortion, and for empowering Baal to rule America. We believe You have done so. Now, we ask that You break the back of this stronghold. Tear down the temple of Baal, the ruling structure of this principality which has operated through our Supreme Court. Dismantle it. Destroy it. Give us a righteous Court, a Court that knows and honors its legal limits, and a Constitutionalist Court, which would also be a Court that honors You. And give us victory in this case. Do not allow any judge who voted for the overturn of Roe v Wade to be swayed. Move them even farther toward life! If Justice Roberts is, indeed, against overturning it, show him his error. Change his mind. Give him a dream, a word he can’t ignore from another Justice, anything You see fit to do to turn him toward life. End this heinous scourge in America, we pray. In Christ’s name, Amen. Our decree: We, the Ekklesia of Jesus Christ in America, decree that Roe will be overturned, and that Baal’s hold on America is ending. 4. Hello all - I haven't been around a lot because of some things going on with the family. That being said - I know the DV prayer warriors will do what they do best for my family. First - my 18 YO daughter has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. This can raise some nasty complications - and unfortunately she has a number of them. It has wrecked havoc with her autonomic nervous system and created some serious conditions. I am taking her to the hospital on Friday to have a feeding tube emplaced because she can no longer eat solid food without throwing up. Even things such as milk or ice cream have about a 50/50 chance of staying down. This procedure is being done in a city 170 miles from here because none of the GI specialists in this town will do it because she is only 18. We have to go to a pediatric GI specialist because she is under 21. Her current Drs. have referred her to the Mayo Clinic, and we have an appoint the first week of March. Please pray for her as we travel through this. Secondly - my wife has slowly gotten worse. Her back has been slowly degenerating over the last few years, and she is now to the point she can only stand for a about 5 minutes, walk maybe 100 yds, and can't sit in a standard chair. The only way she is fairly comfortable is in her recliner with pillows under her knees. She is actually on pain management (pain patch 24/7 and pills every 4-6 hours), and is still in a level of pain every day. She doesn't really complain about that - what she does complain about is not being able to help me around the house, going outside for walks and doing her photography. She's really a pretty strong woman. We recently switched Dr. for her - getting away from our town, which has a reputation for Drs. doing only what they need to do to get by...very few will take the extra step. We are now seeing a Dr. in a city 90 miles away. The first thing he did was order a full spine MRI - prior to this it has only been her lumbar and thoracic. What they have found is she has Tarlov cysts, spinal stenosis and empty sella syndrome. What this boils down to for her is pain, muscle weakness, muscle spasms, sciatica, depression, anxiety and messed up hormones. We are going to see a neurosurgeon tomorrow to see what our options are. Please pray that this man is given inspiration and guidance to find an answer to her conditions. Thanks in advance...may God bless all of you also.
  5. I know I've asked for prayers on behalf of Mr KK before, but he is really have a time of it. He has to do a gastric study (digestion test) on 3/6 and cannot take his stomach meds nor narcotics for pain until after the test is done... he is in excruciating pain right now and there is little chance the pain will let up before then. Please pray he can withstand the pain and if possible it will be lessened so that he can get some rest. On 3/20 he will be having surgery on his prostate. It's not cancerous, just enlarged, and dr is going to go in and ream it out. It'll be an overnight stay for him and since my cast is on til 3/29 and I can't drive, I won't likely be able to be there with him unless I can arrange a ride. Please pray things will go well. His bladder is currently paralyzed, they don't know why, but are hoping with this surgery it will be able to wake up. My poor sweet husband is in dire straits and we really can use all the help we can get. Thanks so much, brothers and sisters... KK MADD for Heather
