Hey guys stumbled across this and thought it was pretty interesting. Dinar sellers on ebay claiming they won't ship if it revalues. Now I don't doubt that pretty much any seller in the case of an rv would say sorry not shipping it and give you a refund. I don't think there's that many honest people who would pass up a huge windfall for themselves to honor an ebay sale but none the less was kinda surprised someone woudl outright say this in their listing ******Admin Note****** Removed link to other site as it is a rule violation!

Okay so I thought this was interesting. I was looking at Dinar on ebay and this particular ebay in his listing states... ATTENTION: In the event of the RV (revaluation) of the Iraqi dinar and prior to the sale item concluding or prior to order being shipped, the seller retains the right to issue a FULL REFUND in lieu of shipping the product. I thought this was kind of interesting seeing as how in a different ebay thread someone was concerned about this very thing happening. Now this is really nothing unique to ebay as many dealer have in their terms and conditions or terms of service they reserve the right to cancel any order at any time, however thought it was interesting an ebayer states right in his listing if it rv's evne if you paid he's gonna refund your money and keep your order for himself. Now of course this is against ebay rules and against ebay terms of service. If someone were to buy, and it rv'd and they complained there's really nothing the buyer or ebay can do about it, ebay can't force the seller to send their item or sell the item to them but none the less it is against ebay terms of service to have conditions like this. I guess if someone reported the listing ebay would take it down but after the fact if it were to rv really nothing ebay can do to make the seller sell it to you. Just wanted to point this out to anyone buying on ebay. I still buy on ebay but this is something to consider... http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-000-new-Iraqi-Dinar-25-000-dinar-x-4-bills-Unc-/231025018494?pt=Paper_Money&hash=item35ca2a067e

Hey guys not sure if anyone else has noticed this new policy but it really sucks. In the past dealers and individuals on ebay were selling 5 Million Dinar, 10 Million Dinar, etc. There was one ebayer who had a very good price up for 10 million, I was considering buying and had recently noticed he took it down. I then noticed almost all ebayers took down large listings. I called around to a few and asked why. They informed me in the past you could buy for example over 5 million Dinar on ebay but just couldn't pay with Paypal b/c Paypal limited them to sales of $1000 and under, however you could pay with a cashiers check. They said ebay basically adopted the Paypal policy so now they can't even list items over $1,000 on ebay. I decided to call up ebay and ask them about it, they apparently don't understand their own policy. They claim its a sanctioned item, however this can't be true as a sanctioned item couldn't be sold at all, not just under $1,000. They said this policy applies to the Dinar but not the Dong or ohter currencies. I found this to be really odd but you can't argue with ebay. I contacted a few ebay sellers and people offered to do sales outside of ebay and lie on Paypal invoices saying its jewelry or other items, however I imagine that would violate my Paypal buyer protection so don't plan on doing it. Anyone else know anything else or come to find out aobut this policy htemselves?

Well I'm cheap and a bit of a bargain hunter so I'm always looking for deals, not trying to pay dealer prices if I can avoid it. I've bought and sold from other members of this site before and had no problems but I'm always a bit skeptical of dealing with a stranger when it comes to larger amounts of money, especially when there's really no safeguards in place. I know there's a lot of debate over whether you should buy from ebay or not but lately I've been doing most of my buying from ebay. There are some fantastic deals on there from individuals selling off their personal collection and I've bought full millions of uncirculated notes for $850 or so. There's also no worry about getting scammed as ebay and paypal both have great buyer protection programs that protect you if you don't get your item or are shorted on the amount of dinar you ordered. You also wind up with a receipt which you otherwise don't get buying from a private individual on a forum. And lastly I personally try to buy from individuals becauese the prices tend to be lower, hwoever for those of you who insist on buying from someone registered with the treasury or insist on getting a certificate with your dinar there are plenty of larger sellers who are registered and provide certificates. I know ebay has been discussed alot on here but just figured it would be worth thorwing up a post since the market on ebay has really changed, prices have come down, more sellers and more professional sellers and also less dealers accepting paypal and credit cards these days so here's a good alternative to be able to pay with those methods. Just wnated to share that with everyone.
