The leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, said that the "triple alliance" caused a "Shiite crisis."
Al-Maliki stated, during an interview with our colleague "Ghazwan Jassem", which was followed by "Nas", after midnight Tuesday on Wednesday (6 April 2022), that "the framework will remain insisting on forming a coalition government."
He added, "The tripartite alliance said that it would proceed with assigning the president of the republic and therefore the prime minister, and we told them that we will use the blocking third (the guarantor) against you, and there were 3 attempts to hold a session with a constitutional quorum, but they could not."
Al-Maliki continued, "We (the framework) also cannot hold a session to pass the President of the Republic, and here the national responsibility emerges, and therefore we say we must return to the principle of the largest bloc and it is the prerogative of the Shiite component, and you disagreed as a response to the candidate of the President of the Republic and you must agree between you, and this is The difference between the components poses a danger to the political process."
