Completion of the total contract for Al Faw Grand Port Tuesday 27 October 2020 142 Baghdad: Muhannad Abdul-Wahhab The Parliamentary Services Committee revealed that the Ministry of Transport has completed the technical details of the Faw port contract, with the hope of the final contract with the Korean company Daewoo to construct the port after the project has been fully transferred to the company. The committee is preparing to open the door to investment in roads through its conference, which will be announced soon, the most prominent of which is a highway linking Bismayah residential city with the Muhammad al-Qasim Bridge. A member of the committee, Mudhar Khazal, expressed to Al-Sabah his hope that the total contract for the Faw port would be signed soon after all the technical details were drawn up and reviewed by the two parties, and the agreement was reached and the referral to the Korean Daewoo company. Concerning the investment conference in roads and bridges, Khazal said: The committee is awaiting the resumption of flights between countries of the world to present invitations to global investment companies to participate in the conference and present their investment potentials. Announcing the external roads as investment opportunities. Therefore, these ministries must agree in unifying opinion and easing red tape before the investor. A member of the committee pointed out that the road investment will be in small amounts to be collected from its users to provide streamlining and high-level services, indicating that one of the most important of these investment roads is the Bismayah residential road to Muhammad al-Qasim and another road in Karbala and Kirkuk.

And Al-Fartousi continued, "The work of installing reinforced concrete pieces for the surface of the sidewalk has also begun." And he indicated that "the total number of piles is (1736), and that the project is progressing by stopping the project's timings, and that the actual completion rates achieved on the ground are more than planned."
