The dream dealt with Holy Spirit reopening four past wells of revival. The four wells had to do with prayer, spiritual leaders being renewed with holy fire, world missions, and a great harvest. Greg has now had an incredible sequel to the dream, revealing four more wells that Holy Spirit intends to reopen. I covered wells 1, 2, and most of 3 last week. If you did not see them you may want to use the links to read those before you read, listen to, or watch today’s post (well 1, well 2, and well 3). Also, after today’s prayer, I will include the dream in its entirety for your convenience and/or review. (I won’t read it on the post.) Today’s post is regarding the remainder of the third well and also the final one, well number four. The third well was named Addereth (“mantle, glory”) and was filled with mantels for believers in the body of Christ, not just for those in leadership. Leaders were assigned to distribute these mantels and giftings to believers, as Ephesians 4:11-12 instructs us. Here is the remainder of the dream: THE DREAM “Gabriel then led Dutch and me back to the door and just before stepping out of the Addereth Well, he handed us both a golden key and said to us, ‘These keys work the same as keys to a safety deposit box. You will need them both to enter this well and remove these coats. Turn the keys together and this entire room will unlock to you. You may access it at any time you feel it’s needed. You will know which coat to pull and on whom to place it.’ “We heard knocking on the door. It seemed as if many people were knocking all at once. We opened it and were taken aback. There were so many people outside this door. It seemed to be a little disorderly. We could see in the dream that there were many other apostolic leaders there, bringing the people into lines and groups to receive a coat. I recognized some but not all of the apostolic leaders.” FOURTH WELL “As we stepped outside the door, we could see another well to our right that had not been visible when we went into the door of the Addereth Well. It was now visible as we exited. Dutch said to these leaders, ‘Bring these people into order as we prepare this next well.’ “As we came near to this fourth well, we could see that it was bulging. It was in the form of a silo, and was so full it looked as though it was going to burst. We knew this well had great value. I pointed out to Dutch that this well had a plate on it, also. This plate was not like the others, however. It was not damaged in any way, nor was the name engraved on it, as had been done to the others. The name of this well was handwritten on a burial cloth, which also had what I knew was the face of Christ on it. It read, ‘My Harvest Well - Mantle and Release Workers - Your Keys Work Here - Matthew 13:30.’ “Dutch and I both knew intuitively what this meant. We took the keys Gabriel had given and inserted them into the two keyholes in the side of this well - right on the bulge! We turned our keys and the well simply bulged all the more. “We quickly returned to the Addereth Well, inserted our keys in the door, and opened it. We began accessing coats from this well, laying them on the shoulders of those lined up outside. The other leaders also had access to this well and began doing the same thing. As we mantled each person with these coats, we would direct them to the ‘My Harvest Well.’ We did this for what seemed like hours. Those we mantled began entering the ‘My Harvest Well.’ The more they entered, the more the well would swell. “We then noticed that we were no longer in a graveyard but a garden and the old, iron fence had become a fortified wall.” End of Dream MY THOUGHTS The fact that Greg and I were each given keys to this Addereth Well, both of which were necessary to open it - like safe deposit boxes - is very revealing. It is obviously telling us that the 5-fold gifts Christ gave the church, listed in Ephesians 4:11, must work together to prepare and mantle believers. No single leader or gift can accomplish this by him or herself. In the dream, many leaders were mantling a multitude of people. As I stated in Friday’s post, the fulfilling of Christ’s commission by all believers, rather than just the clergy, will be the greatest game-changer since the book of Acts. This can be seen through the fourth well. It is titled, My Harvest Well, which was written on a grave cloth that obviously symbolized the death of Christ. It is through His sacrifice, the power of His shed blood, that this great harvest can occur. Greg and I, representing leaders in the body of Christ, could not handle this harvest by ourselves. We had to go back to Addereth Well and “enlist” the body of Christ, at large. Only then could this overwhelming harvest be reaped. At the conclusion of the dream, the location of the wells had been transformed from a graveyard to a garden. Incredible! The prophet Ezekiel saw a valley of dry bones and was asked, “Can these bones live?” (Ezekiel 37:3) The answer, of course, is “Absolutely!” Much of the earth is about to be transformed from a spiritual graveyard, filled with spiritually dead individuals, to a fruitful garden, destined to be harvested. The greatest spiritual harvest in the history of the world is about to take place. And we all can experience the privilege of being the harvesters. After the name of this last well, is the phrase “Your keys work here.” This is most certainly a reference to the keys of the kingdom Jesus promised us in Matthew 16:18-19. These keys work in this harvest! And the verse listed after this statement is Matthew 13:30, which ends with the phrase, “Gather the wheat into my barn.” To recap the dream, the first well represents the transformation of those who are disillusioned and dispossessed, into believers walking in the kingly anointing of Christ, the Lion of Judah. The second well pictures restored spiritual leaders, now on fire and igniting churches with the fire of God. The third well demonstrates the fruit of this: the members of the body of Christ being mantled with glorious gifts, enabling them to fulfill the great commission of Christ. And the fourth well reveals the great, overflowing harvest that is now beginning. Pray with me: Father, in the words of the Moravian missionaries many years ago, “May the Lamb who was slain receive the reward of His suffering.” We are confident You are about to enact the greatest campaign of Kingdom activity in the history of the world. You have been preparing the church, Christ’s Ekklesia, for this. We ask for the preparation to continue: Awaken the lions of Christ; restore leaders to passionate, holy fire; mantle believers with glorious gifts and anointings, and bring in this great harvest. As You do so, continue to transform our nation. Shake all that needs to be shaken, until America has been restored to the calling and destiny You placed on her. Continue to awaken Americans to the evil that is taking place in our country. Deliver us from ungodly leaders who oppose what You stand for and that have impure desires to transform America into something else. Do not allow this to happen. Save us! And we not only ask for this, we boldly declare what You have said, “America shall be saved!” And even though it is not the theme of this post or dream, we continue to pray for the Supreme Court Justices as they decide the Dobbs case. Move upon them until there are enough willing to reverse the evil decree of Roe versus Wade. Let nothing convince those who intend to vote accordingly to change their minds. And we ask these things in Christ’s name. Amen. Our decree: We decree that Christ’s great harvest cannot be stopped. ********************* You can find out more about Dr. Greg Hood here. _______________________________________________________________________________ Full Dream - About 10 minute read: The Journey of Awakening Dream “The dream started with Dutch and me walking through a field containing many wells, just as we did in the first dream. We were commenting about how there were a lot of wells that looked abandoned. As we were talking I said to Dutch, ‘Do you hear that? I hear the sound of metal grinding against metal. It sounds like gears grinding.’ “Dutch said, ‘I hear it.’ “We began walking towards the sound and as we did, Gabriel, the Archangel, appeared walking beside us. He said, ‘It’s time to re-open other wells in America. She has reached another milestone within the journey of awakening.’ “Dutch replied, ‘Journey?’ “Gabriel said, ‘Yes! She has been in the process of this awakening since late 2000.’ “We were approaching the well making the loud grinding noise. Upon arrival, we saw that it was sitting in a field with other wells, which were all fenced in by an old, rusted, iron fence. We knew immediately that we were in some sort of graveyard. Gabriel spoke again, ‘Gentlemen, these wells will live again. Resurrection power is here! The time was set and is now for these wells to begin to function at full capacity. They will give you the insight and strategies you’ll need for the advancement of awakening, in a way that darkness will not be able to hold back.’ He went on to say, ‘You are in a great time of war, in the seen, and the unseen. Go to work!’ FIRST WELL “As we approached the first well, the one making the loud grinding noise, we began to realize that it was not a grinding, but a groaning. This well, like those we had seen in the previous field (in the previous dream), had a bronze, engraved plate on it. Dutch took his hand and wiped away a tarnished film on the bronze plate, just as he had done with the previous wells. He said, ‘I can read it. It says, “Rappahannock River Well - No Rank Needed - Not an Old Light but a New Light.” Underneath that is written, ‘Romans 5:17.’ “As Dutch finished reading, Gabriel touched the well and it opened up. We could see inside, and when looking into it saw a scene, a vision. What we saw was shocking: people of many different ethnicities, ages, and walks of life, traipsing around a battlefield. I said to Dutch, ‘These people are in hope deferred. They’re dazed!’ We could see in the vision within the dream, that there were thousands of crowns laying on the ground around the people. No one knew whose crown was whose. This was causing them to just wander around, slumped over, as if they were defeated. They didn’t know it, but they were not truly defeated! We could also see that each of them had a bronze key attached to and hanging from their shoulders. “Dutch said, ‘Hood, give me the horn from your bag.’ I reached into a bag slung over my shoulder and pulled out a bronze battlefield bugle, which I handed to Dutch. He stuck his head into the well where the open vision was being seen, placed the bronze battle bugle to his lips. But instead of blowing into it, he used it as a microphone. Pointing it into the open well he began to declare loudly, ‘KINGS, HUMBLE YOURSELVES AND RETURN TO YOUR CROWNS! TAKE UP THE CAUSE! ALIGN WITH COURAGE AND DISCIPLINE! IT MAY BE BLOODY BUT YOU WILL REIGN!’ “Dutch then pulled his head and the bronze battle bugle from the opening of the well and, as he did, we could again clearly see into the vision. Some individuals were kneeling down on both knees, picking up their crown and placing it on their heads. They began to stand upright and a straightening of their backs occurred. Some then began bending down and picking up the crowns of others, placing them on the rightful owners’ heads. All of this was happening quickly. We then heard a roar from the vision within this well. Gabriel quickly reached with his arm and pulled Dutch and me to his side. “Immediately, crowned LIONS began jumping from the well into the graveyard, landing so forcibly that they shook the ground. The people had become lions! They immediately placed their noses to the ground and began smelling. They laid on their bellies and roared mightily. Many lions were sniffing and roaring, and doing so in different directions. They would then stand for a moment, with noses in the air, run forward a good ways and drop to their bellies again, roaring forcefully. “This was occurring with every lion that jumped from the well - there were thousands of them! Their roars were so forcible and loud that we could literally feel the ground and the heavens shaking. “Gabriel began to laugh with joy! “He then said, ‘You will teach them to keep their crowns on and straight. You will teach them to amplify their roar so that darkness will always be in a state of shaking. This is a key to continual kingdom advancement.’ He went on to say to us in a matter-of-fact voice, ‘Teach them to keep the keys on their shoulders from tarnishing. The tarnishing will hinder their ability to lock and unlock the supernatural.’ “Dutch then looked at Gabriel and said, ‘Let me make sure I understand this correctly. We are not enlisting Christians; we are enlisting kings!’ “Gabriel replied, ‘King is the only order in the Kingdom.’ “As he was speaking with us, we could see that these lions had made their way off into the far distance. Dutch said, ‘That’s the Ekklesia!’ SECOND WELL “We then heard an alarm sound. It was like a steam whistle attached to a time clock at a factory in bygone days, signaling the beginning or end of shift work. We turned our attention to this sound. It was coming from another well in this fenced-in, graveyard-like area. As we approached this well, we could see that it was in the shape of a steeple, and had what looked like stained glass windows along the bottom. “Dutch located the engraved plate on this well; it had moss growing on it. He pulled the moss from it and we could see the plate was made of pure silver. He read the writing on the plate: ‘Frelinghuysen Well of His Rising Heat - Set Temperature at 600° - Stand With Courage In A House Full of the Lost. John 15:25-27.’ “As Dutch finished reading from the silver plate, Gabriel said to us, ‘The heat from the furnace in the belly of the preachers will burn at 600°, then God’s house will return to a house of birthing and fathering.’ “Dutch turned to me, pointed his finger with a great intensity, and shouted ‘PROPHESY!’ “It was as if a lightning bolt shot from his finger, hit me in the chest, and I began to prophesy, ‘The Spirit of the Lord says unto His called, His gifts - turn again your face to Mine that I may ignite you to burn again! For My passion I will impart into your eyes. Your eyes will burn as my eyes burn, says the Lord. My passion will consume you and you’ll begin to see as I see. I am opening the unseen to you as I have not opened it to My sons and daughters thus far. Open your mouth, says the Lord of hosts, I am releasing through you the sword of My word. Your words are forming into My words. And My words will become a sword that I use to sculpt My Body, so that I may release her into the deep flow of My awakening.’ “As I finished prophesying, Dutch began to decree, ‘I STOKE THIS FURNACE AND COMMAND THE COALS TO RECEIVE THE BREATH OF GOD! FATHER IS BLOWING ON YOU! FROM YOUR BELLY YOU ARE BRINGING FORTH THE FIRE OF COURAGE TO STAND. YOU WILL NOT BE MOVED BY THEIR FACES OR THEIR THREATS. YOU WILL RESTORE, RECHARGE AND RELEASE THE EKKLESIA INTO HER FIREBRAND ASSIGNMENTS. FIRE OF GOD, CONSUME!’ “Immediately when Dutch finished decreeing, what seemed like thousands of angels flew into this well through the stained glass windows. (They broke the windows out as they did this.) We could see through the broken windows that angels were standing beside many ministers from many congregations. The ministers began igniting the people with a very bright fire, which came from a light piercing through the broken stained glass windows. “The top of this steeple-shaped well caught on fire and was consumed, reconnecting these congregations to an open Heaven… THIRD WELL “Gabriel said, ‘There are two more wells that are primed and ready to open. Heaven has released the reopen order. This is also a part of “Operation Redeem All.” Before you reopen this well, you must know and prepare yourself for what will be released. This well has been guarded and hidden for many years.’ “Dutch said to Gabriel, ‘Where is this well and how do we get to it?’ “Gabriel then said to us, ‘It's just here, next to Frelinghuysen Well of His Rising Heat. Look into the thicket of overgrown brush. You will find it in there.’ “Dutch and I began to pull back a thick mass of overgrown briars and thorns to get to what was hidden within them. Our hands started to bleed some and we were spending more time pulling the thorns from our hands than we were uncovering this well. We took a step back and I said to Dutch, ‘We are going to need some help with this.’ “Dutch replied to me, ‘Yes, I am recognizing now what we are up against. This type of briar responds to SOUND, not hands.’ We turned to look back at Gabriel for some assistance and as we did, we could see that Jeremy Burk was approaching us with his guitar, and a few other people. Dutch said to Jeremy, ‘Son, it’s so good to see you. I was just about to ask Gabriel if he could assist us with a sound barrier breaker and you showed up. Take your guitar and your team, and remove these briars so we can get to this well.’ “Jeremy and his team started to worship. As they did, the briars began to wilt and disappear. The sound he released was like no other sound we have heard in worship or the church. It was a new sound. We were now able to see this old well. We only had to take a few steps to get to it after this new sound was released. “We were amazed at what this well looked like. It was simply a door on a frame standing by itself. Dutch approached the door and, like the others, there was an engraved plate on it. The plate was covered with mud as if someone had thrown a blob of mud at the door and it stuck to the plate. The mud was dried, not wet. [More defilement and hiding of this well.] Dutch reached up to the engraved plate and begin removing the mud with his hands. It became clear to us that the plate was gold. It too, had writing on it. Dutch said, ‘It reads, “Well of Addereth - Recover, Redeem, and Activate.”’ “The Archangel Gabriel said to us, ‘Open the door and go inside.’ Dutch opened the door and we walked through it, entering a very large, previously unseen room. Gabriel walked us into a portion of this room which looked like an old-style cleaners. It had many rotating, moving mechanisms that held many coats, robes, capes, sportcoats, and jackets. These coats had all kinds of symbols on them and were in every color and size you could imagine. They were also arranged according to the seven spheres of influence. “Gabriel said to us, ‘Examine them, look them over; you will know exactly how to recover, redeem, and activate them.’ As we began to look at the different types of coats, we could see that all of them had the number 142 handwritten inside their lapels. When we would touch a coat, this number would begin to illuminate as a light, going from bright to dim, then back to bright. Gabriel said to us, ‘Some of these coats have never been worn. Some have been abandoned and others have not been passed on to their rightful successor. Your assignment is to disburse them back into the Ekklesia. 7 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/april-19-2022 April 19, 2022 Impossible People There is an obvious diversity of thought in the body of Christ regarding the future of America and, indeed, the world. Some believers hold no hope for a great, worldwide revival. There are various reasons for this. One of them is due to an eschatological view that there will be an across the board, worldwide increase of evil and deterioration of righteousness, including within the Church. In their thinking, a pre-tribulation rapture of the church is the only thing that can and will save us. Others do not see a revival and turnaround in America simply because of the degree and depth of our sin, compounded by the fact that more Americans aren’t repenting of and turning from our evil ways. (I write of my feelings toward this in my book, An Appeal To Heaven.) They also would point to the continued trending toward darkness by so many. This thinking that America is heading toward destruction has recently been confirmed in their minds by recent dreams and prophecies warning of America’s judgment and destruction. While I am not disputing anyone’s dream or word in this post - as yesterday’s post stated, great shakings are coming - I am contending that judgment can be lessened and, at times, stopped by intercession (Genesis 18:22-33; Ezekiel 22:30-31). I am also contending that if judgment is reaped/does occur, it will be redemptive and America will survive. God is not finished with America! I first heard the words, “America shall be saved,” from the late Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, who contended that he heard it from Holy Spirit. Then, God gave a powerful dream to our friend, Gina Gholston, in which an angel announced the words at the U.S. Capitol. I know there will be some shaking, but I also know America SHALL be saved. My friend and fellow-believer in America’s unfinished destiny, William Ostan, agrees and wrote the following case for continued prayer for our nation. His belief in prayer’s effectiveness is why he introduced me years ago to the Appeal To Heaven flag. Will knows, “It still works.” He states: ******************* “As world events have continued to spiral out of control with massive inflation crippling an already weakened America, a resurgent Russia’s illegitimate war in Ukraine, and an aggressive China making its intentions plain for eventual world domination by the end of this decade, the church now has a stark choice on how it responds to these and other difficult circumstances. Will we retreat in the face of overwhelming odds and prepare for what some deem an inevitable defeat? Or will we stay engaged in the culture through prevailing prayer and a resolute determination to overcome the odds, becoming ‘impossible people’? “In his book, Impossible People: Christian Courage and the Struggle for the Soul of Civilization, author Os Guinness[1] writes, “‘In the golden era of the Roman Empire, Pliny the Younger advised Emperor Trajan that Christians should be executed solely for their tenacity and intransigence. “Whatever the nature of their admission, I am convinced that their stubbornness and unshakable obstinacy ought not to go unpunished.”’[2]. “Christians in the early church confronted far more dire consequences than we do today, including instantaneous death or dismemberment for illegally proclaiming the gospel, yet they refused to stay silent and cower in fear! Instead, they became known as ‘impossible people’ because of their courageous stand marked by ‘unshakable obstinacy.’ We would be wise to draw inspiration from their strength for our current cultural moment! “Guinness accurately describes the thinking in America by stating, “‘Christians throughout the West often appear to be on the back foot. They have been told repeatedly that their prospects are hopeless. In a thousand withering dismissals we have heard that we are fighting a losing battle and the game is already over. [As] Christians…our day is done, our disagreements with others are a matter of bigotry, and we are reactionaries and on the “wrong side of history.”’3] “We are fed these lies by the world daily and, sadly, at times by some leaders in the church. For years, countless books, articles, and speeches have stated that a ‘post-Christian’ America is fait accompli, and her eventual doom is imminent. “How did we come to believe these lies? In my opinion, one of the reasons is that some leaders have constructed an idol of comfort in the hearts of millions of American Christians. But instead of being lulled into complacency, we need to be reawakened to our holy calling as ‘impossible people,’ those who will suffer anything for the glorious cause of Christ and stand resolutely in the face of cultural decay, come what may. “Guinness teaches us that, “‘As salt and light in today’s extraordinary world, our contribution is indispensable. We are not simply guardians of some of the best of the past, but pioneers whose task is to stand against the world for the future of the world – and for the very sake of humanity.’[4] “‘Standing against the world’ simply means to resist the unbiblical ideals and control of those who oppose the church. And I want to home in on Guinness’ ‘very sake of humanity’ phrase. Recently, there have been some prophetic words and dreams matriculating through the body of Christ that predict several states seceding from the union, significant food shortages, and a total dismantling of our monetary policy. I’m not qualified to say if these predictions are true or not. “However, I am confident that if these things occur, there will be major rioting and looting, leading to much death and destruction. The ‘thin red line’ between order and chaos will rapidly cease to exist. Storing up a few cans of food and bottles of water would likely be the least of our concerns. If the dreams are from God and come to pass, I believe we will experience widespread suffering in America at a level unknown since the Civil War. “One of the reasons God gives His people dreams of this nature is so we can pray fervently for mercy and turn the tide of history. At times, however, the unintended consequence of hearing a warning dream can be to short-circuit the praying church, causing them to acquiesce and hunker down for the inevitable. This is human nature. The worst may indeed come to pass. BUT, I believe ‘history belongs to the intercessors’[5] who are willing to change it through prayer and fasting.[6] Mercy may once again triumph over judgment! “Some of you may be thinking that I’m ‘Pollyannish’ or ‘blindly love America too much’ to see the impending judgment. I ask you to consider the heroes in the book of Hebrews’ ‘Hall of Faith.’ Their incredible exploits compel us to continued engagement. Allow these words from Hebrews 11:32-34 and 12:1-2 to permeate deep into your heart and mind: “‘And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets – who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight…Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.’[7] “Overcoming overwhelming odds by being ‘impossible people’ is not just in our spiritual DNA, it is our destiny. Winston Churchill echoed this truth during WW2 by teaching the following to all freedom-loving people, ‘When great causes are on the move in the world…we learn that we are spirits and not animals, and that something is going on in space and time, which, whether like it or not, spells “duty.’”[8] “Friends, if a time of worldwide crisis is imminent, that is precisely why this is the greatest time to be alive, courageously following in the footsteps of the mighty men and women of the past who did their duty as ‘impossible people!’” ************************ Pray with me: Our Father, we ask You to show mercy to America. We plead with You to send another Great Awakening to our beloved country. We remind You of the memory of all the “impossible people” You used in our founding, during the civil war, the two world wars and other times of national crisis. Help us to do our duty today as “impossible people” while we serve Your purposes in our generation. Lord Jesus, help us to run the race in this life while we look to You to for strength and encouragement. We acknowledge that the course laid out before us hasn’t changed; the conditions have simply become uncomfortable and unfavorable. The dream is profound and relates to past and future awakenings, symbolized by four wells. It is a sequel to a previous dream regarding reopening four other past wells of revival. We’ve looked at the first two wells of the most recent dream (Part 1 and Part 2); today we will look at the third well. THIRD WELL “Gabriel said, ‘There are two more wells that are primed and ready to open. Heaven has released the reopen order. This is also a part of “Operation Redeem All.” Before you reopen this well, you must know and prepare yourself for what will be released. This well has been guarded and hidden for many years.’ “Dutch said to Gabriel, ‘Where is this well and how do we get to it?’ “Gabriel then said to us, ‘It's just here, next to Frelinghuysen Well of His Rising Heat. Look into the thicket of overgrown brush. You will find it in there.’ “Dutch and I began to pull back a thick mass of overgrown briars and thorns to get to what was hidden within them. Our hands started to bleed some and we were spending more time pulling the thorns from our hands than we were uncovering this well. We took a step back and I said to Dutch, ‘We are going to need some help with this.’ “Dutch replied to me, ‘Yes, I am recognizing now what we are up against. This type of briar responds to SOUND, not hands.’ We turned to look back at Gabriel for some assistance and as we did, we could see that Jeremy Burk was approaching us with his guitar, and a few other people. Dutch said to Jeremy, ‘Son, it’s so good to see you. I was just about to ask Gabriel if he could assist us with a sound barrier breaker and you showed up. Take your guitar and your team, and remove these briars so we can get to this well.’ “Jeremy and his team started to worship. As they did, the briars began to wilt and disappear. The sound he released was like no other sound we have heard in worship or the church. It was a new sound. We were now able to see this old well. We only had to take a few steps to get to it after this new sound was released...” My Thoughts We’ll see the name of this well momentarily, but first I want to comment on Gabriel’s opening remarks and the process of finding/uncovering it. Gabriel stated that “Heaven has released the reopen order.” This statement lets us know that it IS time for past and present outpourings to merge, bringing us into The Third Great Awakening. Heaven has released the order! Gabriel then told us to prepare ourselves for what was coming next. I questioned Greg about this statement, and what he was feeling in the dream when Gabriel spoke it. He said it seemed that we were being told to count the cost and be prepared to steward the magnitude of what is coming. I have felt for years that when this revival comes to the earth, stewarding it will be almost overwhelming. It will be glorious but challenging. Then Gabriel said this well had been guarded and hidden for years. As we shall see, this well represented mantels and authority being given to all believers in all walks of life, not just leaders in the church. Some refer to this as marketplace ministry; Bishop Bill Hamon has referred to it as the Saints Movement, meaning a movement involving all believers, not just the five-fold ministry. Call it what you will, it is simply a revelation that all believers are called to minister, regardless of their vocation. As the dream states, this has been “hidden” by demonic doctrine and wrong teaching for “many years.” Gabriel pointed out the well to us, which was surrounded, however, “guarded,” by briars and thorns. We tried but could not get the well uncovered or “revealed” by human strength and effort. This well could only be revealed through worship. Worship clears and opens the heavens, producing an atmosphere conducive to revelation. New revivals and outpourings of Holy Spirit always produce new “sounds,” new levels of worship. This one will be no different. Revival produces fresh hunger and thirst for God, which draws believers into greater intimacy. This coming awakening will be no different. THE DREAM (Cont’d) “We were amazed at what this well looked like. It was simply a door on a frame standing by itself. Dutch approached the door and, like the others, there was an engraved plate on it. The plate was covered with mud as if someone had thrown a blob of mud at the door and it stuck to the plate. The mud was dried, not wet. [More defilement and hiding of this well.] Dutch reached up to the engraved plate and begin removing the mud with his hands. It became clear to us that the plate was gold. It too, had writing on it. Dutch said, ‘It reads, “Well of Addereth - Recover, Redeem, and Activate…”’” MY COMMENTS Addereth is a Hebrew word meaning “glory, splendor, magnificence; mantle, cloak” (as worn by Old Testament prophets). Addereths were mantles that signified gifts and glory. This is why Elijah’s mantle was significant to Elisha - it represented his gift and Yahweh’s glory. In Greg’s dream, this was a well of mantles and gifts which needed to be “recovered, redeemed and activated!” THE DREAM (cont’d) “The Archangel Gabriel said to us, ‘Open the door and go inside.’ Dutch opened the door and we walked through it, entering a very large, previously unseen room. Gabriel walked us into a portion of this room which looked like an old-style cleaners. It had many rotating, moving mechanisms that held many coats, robes, capes, sportcoats, and jackets. These coats had all kinds of symbols on them and were in every color and size you could imagine. They were also arranged according to the seven spheres of influence. “Gabriel said to us, ‘Examine them, look them over; you will know exactly how to recover, redeem, and activate them.’ As we began to look at the different types of coats, we could see that all of them had the number 142 handwritten inside their lapels. When we would touch a coat, this number would begin to illuminate as a light, going from bright to dim, then back to bright. Gabriel said to us, ‘Some of these coats have never been worn. Some have been abandoned and others have not been passed on to their rightful successor. Your assignment is to disburse them back into the Ekklesia. It’s time for the old and the new to merge and bring forth the full weight of Heaven on the earth.’ MY COMMENTS This is profound. These “addereths,” mantles, came in all colors, styles, and sizes. They also had different symbols and were arranged according to the seven spheres of influence in society (also called “pillars” and “mountains” by some). These spheres are generally seen as family, religion, government, business, education, arts and entertainment, and media. The point in the dream is that all believers, in all walks of life will be mantled in this coming awakening, as we stated above. This important truth will be rediscovered and reactivated, moving ministry from the church building to all of society: homes, schools, businesses, parks, street corners, everywhere! Salvation, deliverance, miracles and restoration will take place EVERYWHERE! Those in positions of spiritual leadership will know how to mantle and release believers. No longer will the leaders attempt to do all the work of the ministry; it will be done by all in the body of Christ. This will be the biggest game-changer since the book of Acts. Some of the mantles will have been received/imparted from past fathers and mothers in the faith - the dream says the old and new merge; others will be new gifts and anointings never before seen. Each coat label had the number 142 on it. The Hebrew word numbered “142” in Strong’s concordance is adar, meaning “great, glorious, honorable, noble or majestic.” These mantles, gifts, will be great and glorious, demonstrating the majestic nature of our King. There will no longer be a hierarchy of so-called “ministers” versus “laity” in the body of Christ. We will all be seen as “able ministers of the new covenant” (2 Corinthians 3:6). The dream states that this will bring forth the full weight of heaven to earth! Incredible!!! Pray with me: Thank You, Father, for this dream. It is so filled with revelation for us. And it is so encouraging to know You are saying the time to re-open the wells of revival is here. We bring ourselves into submission and agreement with Your words and command these wells to open. We command the Rappahannock well of restoration to open and the Ekklesia to come forth as lions. We command the Frelinghuysen well of restored fire to open. And we command the Addereth well of glorious mantles to open. We bind every spirit that would suppress believers and inappropriately exalt leaders. We thank You, Father, for the new sound that is coming. Take the church to new levels of worship and intimacy with You. Cause this worship to clear the debris in the atmosphere of our homes, cities, and nations, releasing a fresh flow of revelation into the earth. We call this forth in Jesus’ name. Amen. 7 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/april-21-2022 April 21, 2022 The Journey of Awakening (Part 2) Yesterday we began discussing a very encouraging and revelatory dream Holy Spirit gave to my friend, Greg Hood. It was the second dream he has been given regarding repairing and re-opening wells - often used by Holy Spirit to symbolize revival - from past seasons in America. However, the first well in this dream not only represents a well of revival, but disoriented, disillusioned, and hopeless people. The well was called Rappahannock River Well. Under that name was written, “No Rank Needed; Not an Old Light but a New Light; Romans 5:17.” I began discussing this well yesterday and will finish it today. This is quite a long dream, with MUCH information to consider. We won’t be able to cover it all in this series of posts. And for the sake of time, I will not reread the first portion of the dream. If you did not see or hear it yesterday, you can do so now by using this link to yesterday’s post. In review, Archangel Gabriel told Greg and me that we were entering a new phase of America’s awakening journey, a journey that he said began in 2000. He then led us to a well that contained a multitude of disillusioned and confused people, of various ethnicities, and from various walks of life. These people had lost their crowns, which represented authority, and could not find them. They were restored through a word from the Lord, found their crowns, and were transformed into powerful lions. There is so much more to yesterday’s post; again, if you didn’t see or hear it, you may want to push pause and do so. Continuing where we left off yesterday… ******* “The terms Old Lights and New Lights were used in Protestant Christian circles to distinguish between two groups who were initially the same but have come to a disagreement. The terms were first used during the First Great Awakening (1730s–40s). In that day, Old Lights and New Lights generally referred to Congregationalists and Baptists in New England who took different positions on the First Great Awakening from the traditional branches of their denominations. New Lights embraced the revivals that spread through the colonies, while Old Lights were suspicious of the revivals.”1 When God put the phrase on the name-plate of the well (No Rank Needed; Not an Old Light but a New Light) He was not taking sides in a 300-year-old argument. He was reminding us that we must be open to the change created by revival, to new revelation and insight - we are ever changing from glory to glory. None of us have arrived at full understanding or maturity - our wineskins must be continually changed and renewed. Although the Rappahannock River has some painful history due to numerous battles, much bloodshed, slavery, and land taken from the Rappahannock First Nations people after whom it was named, it has positive history, as well. During and after the first battle at Fredericksburg in late December 1862 (the Civil War), about 10,000 enslaved African Americans from area plantations crossed the river to gain freedom behind Union lines. This exodus and its "Trail of Freedom" was commemorated in 2010 by the installation of historical markers on both sides of the river, in Fredericksburg and in Stafford County, Virginia. The exodus to freedom is now celebrated in an annual re-enactment starting in Fredericksburg. There is freedom in this well! Another incredible picture of restoration regarding the Rappahannock region occurred on April 1st of this year, one week after this dream was received by Greg. The Rappahannock Tribe in Virginia reestablished ownership of more than 460 acres of sacred, ancestral homeland along the river that bears its name. The acquisition returns a section of river frontage known as Fones Cliffs to the tribe. There is absolutely no way it is a coincidence that this incredible dream occurred one week before the Rappahannock land was restored. Its restoration to the First Nations people is an incredible sign of restoration and turnaround in our nation. Crowns are being restored. I have known since the late 90s that the First Nations people will be an important part of the next Great Awakening coming to America. I have also known that black Americans will also have a significant role in this great outpouring. Satan‘s attempt to divide our nation will not succeed in the future - he is the author of all injustice, prejudice, hatred, and strife. God is the healer. There will be a great coming together through the coming outpouring of Holy Spirit. Love, forgiveness, unity, and justice will flow from His nature and heart. He can do this! SECOND WELL (The dream continued) “We then heard an alarm sound. It was like a steam whistle attached to a time clock at a factory in bygone days, signaling the beginning or end of shift work. We turned our attention to this sound. It was coming from another well in this fenced-in, graveyard-like area. As we approached this well, we could see that it was in the shape of a steeple, and had what looked like stained glass windows along the bottom. “Dutch located the engraved plate on this well; it had moss growing on it. He pulled the moss from it and we could see the plate was made of pure silver. He read the writing on the plate: ‘Frelinghuysen Well of His Rising Heat - Set Temperature at 600° - Stand With Courage In A House Full of the Lost. John 15:25-27.’ “As Dutch finished reading from the silver plate, Gabriel said to us, ‘The heat from the furnace in the belly of the preachers will burn at 600°, then God’s house will return to a house of birthing and fathering.’ “Dutch turned to me, pointed his finger with a great intensity, and shouted ‘PROPHESY!’ “It was as if a lightning bolt shot from his finger, hit me in the chest, and I began to prophesy, ‘The Spirit of the Lord says unto His called, His gifts - turn again your face to Mine that I may ignite you to burn again! For My passion I will impart into your eyes. Your eyes will burn as my eyes burn, says the Lord. My passion will consume you and you’ll begin to see as I see. I am opening the unseen to you as I have not opened it to My sons and daughters thus far. Open your mouth, says the Lord of hosts, I am releasing through you the sword of My word. Your words are forming into My words. And My words will become a sword that I use to sculpt My Body, so that I may release her into the deep flow of My awakening.’ “As I finished prophesying, Dutch began to decree, ‘I STOKE THIS FURNACE AND COMMAND THE COALS TO RECEIVE THE BREATH OF GOD! FATHER IS BLOWING ON YOU! FROM YOUR BELLY YOU ARE BRINGING FORTH THE FIRE OF COURAGE TO STAND. YOU WILL NOT BE MOVED BY THEIR FACES OR THEIR THREATS. YOU WILL RESTORE, RECHARGE AND RELEASE THE EKKLESIA INTO HER FIREBRAND ASSIGNMENTS. FIRE OF GOD, CONSUME!’ “Immediately when Dutch finished decreeing, what seemed like thousands of angels flew into this well through the stained glass windows. (They broke the windows out as they did this.) We could see through the broken windows that angels were standing beside many ministers from many congregations. The ministers began igniting the people with a very bright fire, which came from a light piercing through the broken stained glass windows. “The top of this steeple-shaped well caught on fire and was consumed, reconnecting these congregations to an open Heaven…” (End of Part 2) My Thoughts Neither Greg nor I had heard the name Frelinghuysen before. But Theodorus Jacobus Frelinghuysen came from The Netherlands to the Province of New Jersey in 1720. He was an evangelizing Dutch-Reformed minister during the First Great Awakening, one of the fearless missionaries of the First Great Awakening in America. He trained young men for the clergy, often ordaining them without permission. Frelinghuysen actually served as a precursor to the First Great Awakening, where his evangelistic contributions culminated in a regional awakening within the Middle Colonies. His ministry was greatly assisted by the efforts of Gilbert Tennent and George Whitefield. Notably, none other than Jonathan Edwards credited Frelinghuysen with the beginning of the awakening in New Jersey: "But this shower of Divine blessing has been yet more extensive. There was no small degree of divine blessing in some parts of the Jerseys…under the ministry of a very pious young gentleman, a Dutch minister, whose name as I remember, was Frelinghuysan.”2 Frelinghuysen’s efforts led to the charter in 1766 of Queen's College in New Brunswick, now Rutgers University. Frelinghuysen Hall on the New Brunswick campus of Rutgers University is named after him. One need only reread the prophecy of Greg and my decree (in the dream) to see that Holy Spirit is saying the fire of the First Great Awakening, symbolized by Frelinghuysen, is coming to churches and leaders again today. The same thing was mentioned through Tennant’s Well in Greg’s first dream. In this dream, ministers were on fire, churches were ablaze, and the body of Christ was sculpted by the sword of the Spirit of God. (From the dream:) “The heat from the furnace in the belly of the preachers will burn at 600°, then God’s house will return to a house of birthing and fathering,” Gabriel said. WOW! What an incredible statement. I am not positive what the number “600” represents, but it is Strongs’ number for the Greek word meaning “restoration.” The heat from the furnace in the belly of the preachers will burn “at restoration level.” Profound! The top of the steeple-shaped well, symbolizing churches, caught fire and was consumed, “reconnecting congregations to an open heaven.” This will be profound. Pray and decree with me: Father, we pray the words You gave in this dream. As we turn our faces to Yours, cause our hearts to burn again with holy fire. Re-baptize leaders with Holy Spirit and fire! Turn up the heat to restoration level. Consume us with passion and cause us to see what You see. Open the unseen to us in new ways. Give leaders Your words, that they may sculpt Your body in the way You would have it sculpted, so You can release her into the deep flow of awakening. And we decree once again the words You gave us in the dream: We stoke the furnace and command the coals to receive the breath of God! Father is blowing on us! From our bellies will be brought the fire of courage to stand. We will not be moved by faces or threats. We will restore, recharge and release the Ekklesia into her firebrand assignments. Fire of God, consume! We pray and decree these things in Jesus’ name. Much in this week’s posts will be of a prophetic nature, pointing us toward what God is saying, and what we are to do. And of course, we will pray into all of it. Today’s post is prophetic insight, and a portion of a prophetic word, Holy Spirit gave my brother, Tim Sheets. I believe it is very timely and will be very encouraging. Tim says: ******************* “Recently, Holy Spirit gave me a vision of a calendar, showing me February 6th through March 31st, 2022. On each day the word “change” was written. We have indeed seen major changes occurring in our nation and world in these recent months. “After seeing the word “change” on those days, the remainder of the calendar was blank. I had a sense that some of the future calendar would be decided by us, the King’s Ekklesia. In other words, actions the Ekklesia takes, or doesn’t take, will fill in the calendar, as well as events God has already planned. “I am confident God has “suddenlies”planned that will take hell by complete surprise. I have heard Holy Spirit say, ‘There are surprises on My calendar.’ I’m confident that notable miracles, supernatural deliverances, outpourings, revivals and turnarounds are on the calendar. Days of shaking and change will now gain momentum, building in intensity and strength to fulfill the purposes of the Godhead. This should fuel our hope, faith and expectation. “Hebrews 12:24-28 gives us insight into the shaking of our present days. God’s creative and transformative voice is declaring from heaven: ‘Shake!’ ‘Change!’ Reorder!’ He is bringing order to chaos. We know His Word does not return void. Verse 27 in The Message Translation says ‘God is going to clean His house during this shaking and get rid of religious junk.’ The ‘junk’ will be shaken and removed, so that essentials of the Kingdom can be seen. The voice of the Lord is declaring against religious lies, deception, compromise, self-righteousness, and sin. God is cleaning His house. “These scriptures also say world systems will be shaken. A system is a set of principles by which something is done, a set of procedures that are followed, an organized method of operation. In the context of Kingdoms, it is a set of rules by which cultural, social, political and governmental orders operate. “There has been demonic intrusion into those systems. World orders have been corrupted by demonic influence. Procedures have been put in place to oppose God, His ways, His will and His church. The world’s order…is out of order. So God says, ‘I’m going to shake those systems, procedures, and methods. I’m shaking the world order and through it, will change things. I’m going to shake demonic activities that are infecting world systems against Me. Corporate, business and government bodies that have busied themselves with opposing Me and My will are going to experience system failures.’ “In the coming weeks, you will see these system failures, as God opposes them. Days of shaking and change are accelerating. “Recently, I heard Holy Spirit characterize it another way: ‘The unraveling has begun.’ I knew another supernatural aspect of God’s plan was beginning to unfold. As always, I began to pray, asking for insight into this. Holy Spirit responded by clearly saying, ‘Deep systemic corruptions are now unraveling. Conspirators, co-conspirators and enablers will see their schemes revealed, just as Cain, Haman and Judas did. What is hidden will be revealed.’ “I was then reminded of a prophetic word I received that I believe is now in its moment. Here are portions of it: “‘My angels are unraveling the plans of the enemies of our Kingdom. They are unraveling demonic schemes and government corruption. They are carrying out decrees of the King’s Ekklesia. The camouflaging garments of hidden agendas are being torn apart to reveal and expose the schemers aligned with hell’s kingdom. My angels are pulling on threads that hold together wicked cover-ups. The cover-ups will now unravel. I have commissioned Michael to release sufficient warriors from his army to assist my Ekklesias and unlock America. They will swing the battering rams of heaven, energized by your decrees of My word. My Ekklesia and the angel armies will explode on strongholds and destroy them, sending shockwaves around the earth. “‘I will release an acceleration of sweeping change across the nation. I will unravel evil plans, cover-ups, coups, conspiracies, diabolical dynasties, and fraud. For the decrees of my governing Ekklesia have fueled and activated vortex fire tornadoes against the enemies of heaven. They will spin with My angels, rolling through the land to level demon strongholds and systems of evil. Supernatural reversals to demonic activity against My church will be seen. My angels are riding the winds, pulling the ropes of change. I am turning the tide for My people, turning the battles, turning the war, turning the fortunes and overturning injustice. I am overruling leviathan.’ “We, the body of Christ, are in awesome days of revelation. When I first began prophesying the aforementioned 54 days of shaking and change, God gave a window of time - from February 6 to March 31. I wondered why this window didn’t begin on February 1, but have learned not to question God’s timing. When this time-frame ended, I pondered what Holy Spirit would speak next. He showed me that the day after this time period ended, the month of Nisan began, something I hadn’t realized. “Israel has two calendar years, one civil and one sacred. Nisan is the first month on the ancient Hebraic calendar God gave to Moses when they left Egypt, as told in Exodus 12. The first day of Nisan is New Year’s Day on God’s calendar. New times and new seasons begin. There is no way it is a coincidence that the new year began the day after the days of change ended. “This is why they began on February 6, not the 1st. God was bringing us into the order of HIS calendar so that we could pray and decree into that. We were brought into HIS supernatural timeline, and an alignment has taken place spiritually. “Nisan comes from the root word nes, which means “miracle.”(1) Nisan is miracle month. It was the month a million slaves in Egypt left bondage. It was the month Passover, the Cross, and the miracle of Christ’s resurrection took place. It was the month the Red Sea opened and Pharaoh’s army drowned. It was also the month when God’s presence manifested over them as a cloud and fire. Nisan is a month of notable miracles. “God is bringing us into His timing. He has events on the calendar that only He can do. Just as with Israel, there are notable times of great deliverance, the destruction of His enemies, manifestations of His tangible presence, and days of supernatural provision on the calendar. We are accelerating into this biblical new year and season with our King!” ********************* Pray with me: Father God, we believe Your words. We are stepping into a time of notable miracles. Release Your power and let Your healing river flow. We decree and declare “It is time!” Pour out Your Spirit. Come and do what only You can do. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/april-15-2022 April 15, 2022 Passion Week - It Is Finished Good Friday, called this because of an ancient usage of “good” as a synonym for holy. (In the same way as the Holy Bible was called the “Good Book.”) Holy Friday, indeed. After Gethsemane, there is far too much that occurred over the next 15 hours or so to include it all in this post. This is especially so if we tried to point out the Old Testament scriptures fulfilled and what each event meant regarding our redemption. From Gethsemane, Messiah was led to a mock trial, after which He was beaten mercilessly with a cat-o-nine-tails. This procedure was so brutal that some recipients didn’t survive it. The leather cords, tipped with sharp metal, tore at the flesh of the victim ripping off pieces of flesh. They not only lacerated the back, but wrapped around to the front of the victim’s body, including the face. It is hard to describe this lashing without being too graphic for most readers. Suffice it to say that when finished, the victim was often unrecognizable. The soldiers also beat Christ with their fists and spat on His face. To mock Him as “the King of the Jews,” a crown made of thorns was placed on His head and pressed into His skin, causing great pain and more loss of blood. When the ordeal was finished, Messiah was so mangled and covered with spittle and blood that He truly was unrecognizable. “Many people were shocked [astonished; appalled] when they saw him. His appearance was so damaged [disfigured; marred] He did not look like a man; His form was so changed they could barely tell He was human.” (Isaiah 52:14; The Expanded Bible) The added punishments and torture, much more than the average victim of crucifixion was afflicted with, can only be explained as the fury of hell, trying to snuff out the life of the Son of God. Yeshua received this for you and me. Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24 tell us it was through this beating that we can be healed. Place your faith in this today. Receive healing by placing your faith in His substitutionary sacrifice. Christ was then led to His crucifixion. There are several prophetic references or pictures in the Old Testament pointing to the Cross. One passage that is extremely important is Deuteronomy 21: 22-23, which references one who experiences death by hanging on a tree as being cursed. It is certainly clear that this verse refers to Jesus hanging on the “tree,” taking our curse. Galatians 3:13 makes this clear: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.’” Yeshua’s crucifixion took place at Golgotha, “the place of the skull.” God, centuries before, had ordained that this would be the place and carved a picture of death onto the side of the hill. Also, this had been the location of Isaac’s interrupted sacrifice (Genesis 22), which pictured the Cross. Like Isaac, we went free and God Himself provided the sacrifice. “Then Abraham looked up [lifted his eyes] and saw a male sheep [ram] caught in a bush by its horns. So Abraham went and took the sheep, offering it as a whole burnt offering to God, and his son was saved [in the place of his son]. So Abraham named that place The Lord Provides [or Sees; Hebrew: Yahweh Yireh]. Even today people say, ‘On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided [or seen]’” (Genesis 22:13-14; The Expanded Bible). In this chosen place, pictured hundreds of years earlier, God provided the sacrifice for our sins. Jesus carried His own Cross to Golgotha, or, at least He was able to carry it part of the way. It was actually the crossbeam that He carried. When He arrived at the place of crucifixion He was first tied and nailed with spikes to this crosspiece. After a victim was tied and nailed to this portion, it was lifted and placed onto the top of the upright section, whereupon it would slide down and slam into place. This is often when dislocations would occur in the crucified person, as the crosspiece slammed down. And indeed we know this occurred in Christ; it was prophesied of Him in Psalm 22:14. The sliding down of this crosspiece is why the spikes were placed at the bottom of the hands where they joined the wrist; this would sustain more weight. It’s also why the victim was tied to the crossbeam. If they were not secured in this way, they would often be torn loose. Yeshua hung on the Cross for six hours in this emaciated state. While there, He spoke seven times. Time does not permit me to comment on each of them, but they are all significant. Halfway through the ordeal, at noon, the sun disappeared and the sky grew dark (Luke 23:44-45). This was a fulfillment of Amos 8: 9-10: “‘It will come about in that day,’ declares the Lord God, ‘That I will make the sun go down at noon and make the earth dark in broad daylight. Then I will turn your festivals into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring sackcloth on everyone’s loins, And baldness on every head. And I will make it like a time of mourning for an only son, And the end of it will be like a bitter day.’” Surely this is a prophetic picture of the Light of the World being snuffed out for us. It is also a picture of what He is entering into - the darkness of sin and death, when our sins were placed upon Him. “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). After three more hours of suffering, it was enough. Christ made His final two statements. The first, “It is finished,” I have written of before in the GH15 posts. This was not a statement referencing His death. It was a loud declaration by Christ at the end of this ordeal, quoting from Psalm 22:31. It was one word in Greek and also in Hebrew, and was a declaration that He had paid the debt in full and was bringing forth the new creation! Yeshua then released His spirit to the Father. Death did not take Him, He yielded up His spirit (Luke 23:46). It was 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The priests in the Temple were beginning their customary duties when, at the very moment Jesus made this last statement, the veil in the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51; Mark 15:38; Luke 23:45). The purpose of this veil was to separate everyone from the Holy of Holies, the dwelling place of God on earth. With this symbolic act, God was showing us that the separation of sin was gone, and we could now enter His presence once again! Why don’t you enter in and spend some time with Him today? He would like that. Pray with me: Thank You, Father, for the Cross. Thank You for sending Christ. Thank You for placing our sins upon Him in order to bring us back into Your family. Thank You for the stripes, the wounds, the crown of thorns, and the bearing of our shame. And thank You, Jesus, for Your heart of humility and love. You are Son of Man, Son of God. And through our identification with You, You have made us sons and daughters of the Most High, also. We thank You for this. Now, by faith, we appropriate all of the cleansing power of Your shed blood, and the healing virtue that flows from every wound You suffered. By Your stripes we are healed! And as we prayed yesterday, we do again today. For the glory of Your name and the pleasure of Your heart, send revival to the earth. Save a billion or more people in this great revival. Your Father promised You the nations of the earth as Your inheritance - reap them now. Father, we agree in prayer with many people around our nation, asking for the hearts of any deceived leaders in our government to turn, just as Jonah’s heart turned. Save them, deliver them from deception and all demonic influence. And we pray for America, that a spirit of repentance would indeed invade our land, turning the hearts of millions back to You. If this could happen in Nineveh, it can happen in America. They were spared great judgment, and received great revival. We pray that for this nation, in Christ’s name. Passion Week: The Agony of Gethsemane “Leaving there, He went, as He so often did, to Mount Olives. The disciples followed Him. When they arrived at the place, He said, ‘Pray that you don’t give in to temptation.’” (Luke 22:39; MSG) “The Place” spoken of by Luke was Gethsemane. It had become Christ’s favorite place of prayer. This is how Judas, who had left the last supper early, knew where to take the soldiers to find Him. Christ would spend three hours there that night agonizing over the ordeal He was facing. During this time He would wrestle with His human desire for this cup of suffering to pass from Him: “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.” (Luke 22:42) The agony of these three hours was horrible beyond description. Combining the accounts of the gospels, we know that Christ started this prayer time on His knees (Luke). But Matthew tells us that He eventually fell on His face as He agonized. Mark added that He fell repeatedly. Christ would kneel, fall on His face, get up, and repeat the process. At one point, the agony of what He was experiencing, as well as what He knew was coming soon, was so great that the capillaries in His face burst and blood mixed with sweat oozed through the pores of His skin (Luke 22:44). This is a medical condition known as hematidrosis. I believe our redemption was actually beginning here when the first drop of Christ’s blood was shed, not when He finally made it to the Cross. Again, through a harmony of the Gospel accounts, and by more in-depth definitions of the words chosen by Holy Spirit, we can get a much more complete look at what Jesus truly experienced in the garden. When Christ “withdrew” from the disciples to pray by Himself (Luke 22:41), Luke uses a stronger word than the other Gospel writers (apospao). It means “to tear away.” Wuest translates it accordingly, “He tore himself away from them.” Probably more than any time in His life, Christ wanted the comfort of being with friends, yet He knew He would have to face this ordeal alone. We are told that Yeshua became “sore amazed, exceedingly sorrowful and very heavy” in His emotions (Matthew 26.37-38; Mark 14:33-34). More literal definitions of the words used by Holy Spirit give us powerful descriptions of what He was feeling: Ademonein: “to be troubled and in anguish, to be in a state of great anxiety; used of one who is rendered helpless, disoriented, agitated, and anguished by the threat of an approaching event.” Perilupus: “to be very sad, environed or surrounded with deep grief.” Ekthambeisthai: “to be exceedingly astonished, either with wonder or fear; to be in the grip of a shuddering horror.” Wuest says Christ was “thoroughly alarmed.” The intensity of what was happening was even greater than what He had expected. It was alarming to Him! Matthew 26:38 says He was agonizing “to the point of death.” The word used demands that this is taken literally. Though death could NOT take Christ before it was time for Him to yield up His spirit, humanly speaking, He was close to death in the garden. Again, I believe our redemption - specifically, the taking of our emotional wounds, rejections, and sorrows upon Himself - began in the garden of Gethsemane. Isaiah prophesied of Christ: “He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging, we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:3-5; NASB) Don’t waste a moment of Christ’s suffering for you. Everything He did was redemptive. Every second of suffering and abuse was for you and me, taking our place. Let it bring healing to every part of your soul that may be hurting. Jesus can heal every form of abuse, rejection, betrayal, and loss. He paid for this! Receive it now. After three hours of this agony, Christ prevailed. He broke through into peace and was now in complete control of every emotion. At this point, Judas came with soldiers and betrayed Christ with a kiss, kataphileo. This form of the word was more than just the friendly kiss on the cheek (phileo), a common greeting in many countries. This form of the word implies a stronger affection, perhaps with a hug or a lingering kiss on the cheek. That is why in Luke’s Gospel, Jesus questions Judas, “Are you betraying me with this type of affection, Judas?” (Luke 22:48) Christ then asks the soldiers, “Who are you seeking?” When they told Him they were looking for Jesus, He simply said, “I AM” (John 18:4-5). Not, “I am He,” as most translations say. But Jesus spoke His God-name from throughout eternity: “I AM.” And the power of His name, of His words, knocked the soldiers backward onto the ground. Christ is, indeed, the Almighty. At this point, Peter pulled out a sword and cut off the ear of Malchus, a servant of the High Priest. Jesus promptly touched it and healed it! (Luke 22:51) The great I AM, indeed! The Healer! The Great Physician! And in this time of His redemptive suffering, He is seen ministering even to his enemies. At this point, Jesus was led away to be tried and crucified. We will look at this tomorrow. Pray with me: Father, we can think and muse on the sufferings of Christ, but we can never fully understand what it must have felt like for God, Himself, to be placed in a human body so He could feel our pain and agonize for us. As His Father, the agony You must have felt on that day had to have been immeasurable. The temptation to answer Christ’s prayer, “Let this cup pass from Me,” must have been overwhelming. But You knew there was no other way to save us - we had to have a perfect, sinless substitute. You who spared not Your own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall You not also with Him, freely give us all things! (Romans 8:32) Thank You! And Jesus, words fail us. You, the Prince of Peace, suffered mental anguish and emotional trauma for us. You allowed Yourself to feel mental and emotional pressure until Your capillaries burst and Your skin oozed blood. Now, You truly are our unexplainable peace and unspeakable joy. You are! We worship You today. We exalt You above all others. We love You from the depths of our hearts. May our incense of worship rise before You, bringing You the pleasure You so deserve. And for the satisfaction of Your heart, not ours, send revival to the earth! Bring a billion souls into the family in this coming revival. Satisfy Your love-filled heart with a billion more family members. You love them all. And as He was reclining at the table, a woman came into the house, with an alabaster flask filled with the highest quality of fragrant and expensive oil. She came to Jesus, and with a gesture of extreme devotion, she broke the flask and poured out the precious oil over His head. But some were highly indignant when they saw this, and they complained to one another, saying, ‘What a total waste! It could have been sold for a great sum, and the money could have benefited the poor.’ So they scolded her harshly. Jesus said to them, ‘Leave her alone! Why are you so critical of this woman? She has honored me with this beautiful act of kindness. You will always have the poor, whom you can help whenever you want, but you will not always have Me. When she poured the fragrant oil over Me, she was preparing My body in advance of My burial. She has done all that she could to honor Me. I promise you that as this wonderful gospel spreads all over the world, the story of her lavish devotion to Me will be mentioned in memory of her.’” (‭‭Mark‬ ‭14:3-9‬ ‭TPT‬‬) We are looking at events in the life of Christ during His final week on earth, often referred to as the Passion Week. In the above verses, Mark 14:3-9, we are told the story of a woman anointing Christ’s head and feet with perfume. It was very expensive, worth a year’s wages based on the average income of the day. What is your annual income? That’s the equivalent for you of this extravagant gift. We know from John’s account (John 12:1-8) that this was done by the same Mary who sat at Christ’s feet, mesmerized by His words, in Luke 10:38-42. She was the sister of Martha and Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from the dead. The timing of Mary’s offering was just days before His death, and Jesus said she was anointing Him for His burial. Whether Mary had grasped the reality of His words about His imminent death and resurrection, or whether Jesus was simply accepting the offering in that light is unclear. Two things we do know: It was a very costly offering from Mary, and it was precious to the Lord. “Wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done shall be spoken of in memory of her,” He stated (Matthew 26:13). Some speculate that the scent of this powerful perfume would have lingered in Christ’s hair for several days. Did the fragrance help sustain Him as He agonized in Gethsemane? Perhaps the sweet aroma comforted Him through the tortuous six hours on the Cross. Never underestimate the fragrance of worship. Others in the room thought Mary’s offering was a waste. Some actually scolded her (Mark 14:5). I know the feeling. When I canceled all other activities for three months in our church in Colorado Springs, lavishing ninety days of 24/7 worship on the Lord, I, too, was criticized. One well-known Christian leader severely scolded and rebuked me, calling the ninety days of worship “a complete waste of time.” It’s fascinating how much perspectives can differ. For me, those three months remain the best three months of my life. They were my alabaster box of costly perfume, the greatest offering I’ve had the pleasure of giving Christ. For the man who rebuked me, it was a complete waste of time. But never let the lack of revelation in others cheapen your offering. Don’t water down your perfume, either, just to save a little money, or substitute your best “myrrh” with some cheap off-brand. Like Mary, give Christ your best. Others may mock your sacrifice of time, but go ahead and “waste” it on Him. Some will scold you, calling your passionate praise too radical, but pour out your offering in spite of their ridicule. Still others will label your extravagant worship as excessive, religious zeal. Don’t let their misguided criticism deter you - pour out your costly perfume! The list of Christ’s followers in the room that day as Mary anointed Jesus is mind-boggling. The twelve disciples were there. You’d think they would have understood that He was more than worth this offering, but they were too practical: “It should have been given to the poor,” was their protest. Christ’s thoughts? “Go ahead and anoint Me; there will be ample time to care for the poor after I’m gone.” Simon the leper (or should we say, “former leper”?) was present. They were actually in his home. You might think his new skin, replaced appendages, and restored life would merit the “wasting” of some costly perfume on Jesus. Evidently not - he didn’t come to Mary’s defense. And then there was Lazarus, Mary’s brother, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. Surely he would see the validity of his sister’s sacrifice. But no, he didn’t come to her defense, either. Could it be that the others’ familiarity with Christ had lessened their wonder of Him, their awe? We don’t know. They certainly didn’t come to Mary’s defense. And we know that only one worshiper that day had the fullness of revelation necessary to anoint the Savior. How sadly typical. So many miss opportunities to do so. It is not uncommon for me to see worshipers waste opportunities to break their alabaster box of love and pour it onto the Master. They’ve been around Him so much, sang so many songs, and prayed so many prayers that the experience isn’t worth quite what it used to be. So they give Him token praise and watered-down worship. Cheap perfume. I doubt if the fragrance makes it past Sunday lunch. But while the others that day wasted an opportunity to comfort God, Mary poured out her perfume. Its fragrance sustained Him through the beatings, mocking, spittle, spikes, and thorns. Don’t allow another day to go by without becoming one of the “fragrance creators.” Let nothing deter you. Your alabaster box is your heart; your love and worship are the perfume. Break it open and pour it out. At the scent of your offering, He’ll meet with you. And He’ll cherish your worship, just as He did Mary’s. The Last Supper We cannot cover every teaching and event of Christ’s last week, but this is a fitting place to mention The Last Supper. It was during this meal that Christ washed the disciples’ feet and initiated the common practice of Communion, the partaking of the symbolic bread and wine. At the portion of the Passover meal during which the head of the house would ceremonially wash everyone’s hands, Jesus parted from tradition and washed their feet (John 13: 3-11). The word describing the “towel” Christ used while doing this denotes the towel used by slaves during the washing of people’s feet. He had come to earth to serve, and even at the end, Yeshua demonstrated His serving heart. In that day, people traveled by foot, wearing only sandals, on dusty roads and paths. Their feet became sweaty and caked with dirt. It was the task of the lowest servant to wash the feet of arriving guests. But on this night, the unthinkable occurred. Jesus took this servant’s towel, and angels probably gasped as they watched the Creator wash the sweat, dirt, and stench from His disciples’ feet. It boggles the mind! Truly, there is no one like Him!!! Just before relating this, the passage begins by saying, “…having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.” Most people interpret the phrase “to the end,” as meaning “until His death.” However, this is not the case. The word in Greek means “the fulfillment or completion of anything, not its cessation.” It denotes, not the ending of the old, but the arrival of that which is complete or perfect. The verse is telling us Christ loved them fully, completely, to the uttermost or the highest possible degree. What a fitting statement as Christ prepares to visit Gethsemane, which we will discuss tomorrow. Pray with me: Father, thank You for including Mary‘s story in Your Holy Book. We are impressed and motivated by her example, yes. But just as importantly, we are awed by Christ’s moving acceptance and appreciation of it. May we today always give Him our best. May the fragrance of worship ascend to Him daily from our hearts and lives. And may You, Abba, always find a sweet fragrance of worship ascending before Your throne. We love You very much. Jesus, thank You for Your amazing, unfathomable humility. We will never know just how much You humbled Yourself to serve us as You did. You became human, touchable, breakable. Your love is unmatched. We worship You today with our hearts and our words. And we gratefully partake of Your life, righteousness, strength, healing, and wholeness. And honoring the 40-day call to prayer we spoke of yesterday, we partner with You in the ministry of intercession as we pray for the turning of our nation and for our government to be transformed. Change those who can be changed, replace the others. We ask for a turning of our nation, just as Nineveh turned, and an awakening unlike any seen before. You are the God of salvation, bring it to this land. And we wholeheartedly include other nations in this prayer - send revival throughout the earth. We pray all of this in Jesus’ name. Amen. 6 min read April 12, 2022 Passion Week - The Entrance (Before we get to the Passion Week, I have one other thing to mention.) I have often described prayer as a siege. In other words, it isn’t one prayer or one prayer strategy that will turn the tide, but many. This is especially true for America. Sustained prayer, with many people and groups involved, has been necessary; and more will be needed. With this in mind, I want to share with you a word and strategy recently given to our friends, Tom and Jane Hamon. We are actually jumping in a few days late, but can still participate with much of it. Here is their word and plan, then I will continue to share regarding the Passion Week of Christ. Jane says: ********************* “On March 30th, 2022, Tom and I flew into Reagan National Airport in the Washington, DC area. As we stepped off the plane, I heard the Lord say, ‘You have entered the “Belly of the Beast.”’ I could feel the darkness that sits over the city. However, I recognized God didn’t speak this to highlight the darkness, but rather to bring a strategy of hope for America. We Need Righteous Messengers “I knew that ‘Belly of the Beast’ was a reference to Jonah being in the belly of the whale (or great fish) when he ran from his prophetic assignment to decree judgment over Nineveh. However, when Jonah was in the belly of the fish, it became a point of turning for him. Those 3 days in the belly caused Jonah’s heart to be turned back to God and realigned with his divine purpose and assignment. Washington DC, in its earliest days of governance, was a place the message of the First Great Awakening was preached and received. But the city, and many of those governing from it, are operating as Jonahs - rebellious, misaligned, and not accomplishing their divine purpose or assignment. DC, is a dark place in a dark time, just as it was in the belly of the fish. In the midst of darkness, however, God visited the wayward Jonah, turned him back to his purpose, and renewed the assignment to preach righteousness to a land. Can He do this again? I believe He can! God Desires to Turn the Entire Nation “I Googled the phrase and it came up as a descriptor of ‘being in the heart of hell or the middle of trouble.’ It is also used as an analogy of ‘being in the central command of an enemy’s headquarters.’ I believe these are apt descriptors for Washington, DC these days. “Jonah was then spat out on dry land and went to deliver the message of God’s impending judgment on the city of Nineveh. He declared the word of the Lord - that God would destroy the city in 40 days. But God takes no pleasure in judging the wicked; He always prefers mercy. And when the people of the city cried out to God and repented, turning their hearts toward righteousness, He relented of His decreed judgment. Instead, the wicked city of Nineveh became the first city in history to experience an awakening! If God could do it for Nineveh, He can move on the heart of our nation to cry out for forty days to see judgment turned to awakening. “In Washington DC, and later in Springfield that weekend, we were led to declare April 1 to May 10 (2022) as 40 days to cry out for America’s leaders and to experience an awakening. Let’s pray for our capital to see wickedness and iniquity broken, corruption exposed, and Jezebel defeated; and let’s pray for awakening to come to America. Just as Nineveh was saved, so ‘America Shall Be Saved!’ ” ********************** The Passion Week (Dutch) Yesterday I wrote on the emotional turmoil that began in Christ weeks before what we call the Passion Week. It actually began when He started His journey toward Jerusalem. Then, the passion week itself began with Christ’s entry into Jerusalem on what we call Palm Sunday (this past weekend). On that day, tens of thousands of Israelites - some estimates say 150,000 to 180,000 people - were also making their way to Jerusalem for the observance of Passover week. It was a very festive time as the Jews celebrated their deliverance from Egypt. Also, Messianic expectations were high, as many Jews believed the Messiah would reveal Himself at Passover. Thousands of them, having heard of the numerous miracles Christ had performed and the recent raising of Lazarus from the dead, believed that Jesus might indeed be the Messiah. This raised the celebratory mood and expectations even higher. Each year, thousands of people lined the road into Jerusalem welcoming the travelers, and this year many more went forth in order to meet Christ as He made His way into the city. As people entered Jerusalem, they and those welcoming them chanted from Psalm 118. The familiar word they shouted to Jesus, “Hosanna,” meaning “save us now,” comes from this Psalm. They, of course, were thinking of a savior along the lines of Moses, who delivered Israel from Egyptian bondage, a Messiah who would overthrow the Roman yoke and set up His earthly kingdom. That is what they meant when they chanted “Save us now” (Hosanna). Other portions of the Psalm are also messianic. It speaks of the gates of righteousness being opened once again (verses 19-21), binding the festival sacrifice to the altar (which to them referenced the Passover lamb they sacrificed each year) (verse 27), and the stone which the builders rejected (verses 22-23). The multitude had no idea what they were actually chanting about, that Messiah would be bound to the altar (the Cross), and become the rejected cornerstone. While they were celebrating the possibility of an earthly deliverance, Jesus, the actual Lamb, was thinking of the Cross which would produce our spiritual deliverance. As Messiah climbed the hill to Jerusalem, He, no doubt, remembered Abraham and Isaac climbing the same hill to picture His sacrifice (Genesis 22:13-14). Isaac was spared, Christ would not be. He may have thought back to John’s announcement 3 years earlier when he saw Jesus approaching and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world,” (John 1:29). This was the 10th day of the month, the day the Passover lamb was brought into the city and set apart for inspection until the 14th. Everything Jesus did this week would correspond to God’s calendar and the events which had been repeated for centuries to picture Him. As the Passover lamb - the animal - was being inspected for those 4 days, THE Passover Lamb was, as well. He was questioned, examined, and cross-examined by the religious leaders who were trying to find a flaw in Him. But they could find no blemish - He was the Spotless Lamb. At the end of the day on which He entered the city, Jesus again spoke of His impending death and the emotional strain it was causing Him (John 12:20-36). “Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘Father, save Me from this hour?’ But for this purpose I came to this hour,” (Verse 27). “Troubled” is the Greek word tarasso, which also means “agitated, stirred up.” This strong word was used to describe roiling water, internal commotion, becoming anxious or distressed, and being struck with fear or dread. Jesus knew He was approaching the time. The Cross and all of its violence were near. He was able to press through the anxiety, but not without feeling its hideous effects. But He, the Father, and Holy Spirit had waited 4000 years for this, and nothing would deter Him from accomplishing our redemption. Think about these things today…and give Him some praise. Pray with me: Father, we thank You for the Passover lamb, Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Thank You for sending Him to take away the sin of the world. We know the anguish it caused You and Your Son. We are so grateful. We receive all that it purchased for us. We accept being made righteous, given health, and being welcomed back into Your family. And based on the fruit of this, we ask You to send revival to America and the nations of the earth. We ask You to turn hearts in DC, just as You did Jonah’s heart. We ask that this nation be turned back to You, just as Nineveh did. Deliver us from our evil ways. Shake everything that must be shaken, and send the greatest revival to our land we have ever experienced. May it go from these shores to Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, Australia, North America, and all the islands of the sea. Send the fire of revival..! In Christ’s name alone we pray these things. Amen..! 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/april-11-2022 April 11, 2022 Passion Week: Christ, the Man We are entering the week leading up to Resurrection Sunday, often referred to as the Passion Week. Christ actually began experiencing the emotional pressure of what was coming several weeks before the cross occurred. Most people fail to consider that Christ was truly human, with human feelings and emotions. Jesus endured pain (both physically and emotionally), experienced grief, sorrow, anger and disappointment, enjoyed friendships, knew joy and laughter, felt hunger and thirst, grew tired and sleepy. He was completely human, but without the Adamic fallen mature. He had to be in order to represent us as a legal substitute. As one who was truly human, Christ didn’t simply flip over into God-mode when things got tough, in order to not experience the pain or trauma. Philippians 2:6-7 tell us that “although He existed in the form of God, [He] did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.” Let Christ be human. As I stated above, weeks before the Cross, Christ began feeling the pressure of what was coming. When He said, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62), Jesus was thinking of Himself. The passage begins by saying, “Jesus let nothing distract him from departing for Jerusalem because the time for him to be lifted up drew near, and he was full of passion to complete his mission there.” ‭‭(Luke‬ ‭9:51‬ ‭TPT‬‬) Jesus knew that in Jerusalem He would face arrest, torture, and agonizing death. But He set off firmly and unflinchingly, committed to finishing His mission. There would be no backing out, and nothing would deter Him from accomplishing His purpose. Isaiah prophecied of this determination: “The Lord God has opened My ear; and I was not disobedient, nor did I turn back. I gave My back to those who strike Me, And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard; I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting. For the Lord God helps Me, Therefore, I am not disgraced; Therefore, I have set My face like flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed” (Isaiah 50:5-7). Christ knew this passage was about Him, and realized He was entering the season of its fulfillment. So He set His face like flint, put His hand to the plow, and turned toward Jerusalem. He was beginning what would become His final trek to this city. Traveling by foot, and stopping along the way to minister and rest, the journey would take several weeks. Luke, in his Gospel, reveals the humanness of Christ more than the other Gospel writers. Under Holy Spirit’s guidance, each Gospel writer had a different goal in his writing. This is why each man shared different (not contradictory) accounts of Christ’s works and different teachings. Matthew, for example, wrote his Gospel primarily to the Jews; he was, therefore, revealing Christ as the King of God’s Kingdom. Mark wrote to Romans; hence, he wrote of Jesus as a man of action, filled with power and under authority. John wrote to all, presenting Him as truly God. Luke was writing to Gentiles and Greeks; he presented the humanness of Christ - He was truly a man, and therefore, qualified to be our substitute at the Cross. Luke wants us to know that from this point onward the pressure began building in the Son of Man. Jesus was having to stay very focused in order to deal with this pressure. Eleven times after the above verse (9:51), Luke mentions that Christ was journeying toward Jerusalem, and therefore, the Cross. He was on a mission and wouldn't waver. In Chapter 12, Luke quotes Him as saying, “I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished,” (verse 50). “Distressed” is the Greek word sunecho, and is a very strong word meaning, among other things, “to be held fast like a prisoner.” It means “to be confined, constrained, pressed together so as to not able to move (like a city under siege);” figuratively, it meant “to be in a mental state of anguish.” Kenneth Wuest’s expanded and very literal translation of the New Testament renders this verse: “I have an immersion by which I will be overwhelmed, and I am being hard pressed from every side until it be consummated.” In other words, the strain was already very intense! Jesus knew what was coming and was dreading it. The focus required in order to press on toward Jerusalem was so intense that it could be seen on His countenance. In Luke 9:53, Christ was rejected by a Samaritan village “Because His face was as though He would go to Jerusalem.” There was great friction between Jews and Samaritans. However, Christ had earlier been accepted by a village in Samaria after ministering to “the woman at the well,” (see John 4). On this occasion, however, they would not receive Him. Why? They were offended because He couldn’t seem to take His focus off Jerusalem. There must have been many pensive gazes, perhaps even some grimaces, as Christ kept turning His face toward Jerusalem and the Cross. It became so obvious that the Samaritans, rejected and looked down upon by the Jews, finally had had enough. Of course, they didn’t understand. Noone did. This was something Christ would have to endure alone. His face set like a flint, He journeyed on - moving toward His destiny. “And He was passing through from one village to another, teaching, and proceeding on His way to Jerusalem,” (Luke 13:22). For several weeks, the journey continued and the pressure built, until Jesus rounded the last curve and crested the last hill. When the city came into view, He burst into tears. Christ’s emotions were raw, sensitive, and bottled up. Like a pent-up dam that could take no more pressure, Christ let His emotions out. He loved the city; He loved the people; He loved us all. Yet He knew Jerusalem would reject Him and, in the future, experience great devastation. As this mix of emotions rose to the surface, Yeshua let it all out. And He did more than cry. Again, quoting from Wuest’s New Testament “...having caught sight of the city, He burst into tears, weeping audibly over it,” (Luke 19:41). What must the disciples and those following Christ have thought as He “burst into tears” and sobbed? How often this man surprised and amazed them. Power, authority, humility, wisdom, intellect, love and yes, passion were all exhibited by this amazing Man. And they were about to see His anger. After composing Himself, Christ went straight to the Temple and drove out those who were selling their wares, making His “house of prayer...a robber’s den,” (Luke 19:45-46). This was indeed anger, but it wasn’t a temporary loss of self-control. The Temple pictured we humans, made to be the dwelling place/temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:16). The defilement Jesus was seeing reminded Him of the defilement in us, which He was about to cleanse, just days from now. He was symbolically showing what He had come to do: cleanse His temple - US! And Christ was intense about it. Spend some time this week reflecting on the passion of Christ. Let’s walk through the week with Him. We’ll do some of this together on the posts. Thank Him for the price He paid. Worship Him as not only the Creator, but the Redeemer. And let Him be human. Pray with me: Father, thank You for Your incredible love and commitment to us. Thank You for the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. You are amazing. We are deeply moved by being able to call you Abba, Papa. And Jesus, thank You for the incarnation - being willing to become human. The Old Testament prophet called You Immanuel, “God with us.” Thank You for the tears. Thank You for the love. Thank You for the suffering and pain. Thank You for the Cross - thank You for dying. And thank You for winning, for conquering death, for overcoming sin and its evil hold on us. Thank You for sharing Abba with us. Thank You for sharing Your throne with us. Manifest Yourself through us in this era, we pray. May the world see who You are, Yeshua, and all of Your glory as the church You are building matures into the Ekklesia You envisioned. Continue to mature us into a people worthy of who You are. Amen. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/april-8-2022 April 8, 2022 Let’s Believe for Miracles “Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging, we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5; NASB) “That evening the people brought to Him many who were demonized. And by Jesus only speaking a word of healing over them, they were totally set free from their torment, and everyone who was sick received their healing! In doing this, Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: ‘He put upon himself our weaknesses, and He carried away our diseases and made us well.’” (Matthew 8:16-17; TPT) “And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the Cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24; NASB) I have mentioned often in the Give Him 15 posts that we are coming into a season of the miraculous. I feel it is eminent and today I want to encourage you toward believing for this. I am being stirred personally in my spirit to begin pressing toward this in prayer. The above verses are very clear that healing was included in Christ’s atoning work for us. The verses from Isaiah are prophetic statements/pictures about what He was going to do. The verse in Matthew declares that Jesus was, indeed, fulfilling these verses. And in Peter’s epistle, this healing provision is spoken of as having been accomplished. Not many churches speak of this today, and most believers understand very little about divine healing. However, not only are we told we can expect healing from Christ, but Mark 16:15-18 informs us that as believers we are to lay hands on the sick and minister healing. Simply because we have asked for healing at times and didn’t receive it, or prayed for people that weren’t healed, we must not disregard these promises. We do not always understand why we did not experience the miracle for which we asked, but we must keep asking. Do not allow hope-deferred to rob you of these promises. Mark 16 tells us that power accompanies the preaching of the gospel: “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover,” (Mark 16:15-18; NASB). I know in my heart it is time for this to begin with a fresh wave of the miraculous. I am encouraging you as believers to begin stretching yourselves and your faith to act on this promise. You do not have to guarantee someone they will be healed. Just obey the passage - share the simple gospel of Jesus Christ with individuals and pray for them. Tell them you would like to ask God to minister His love to them. If they agree, pray a simple prayer asking God to touch them with His healing power. Leave the results to God. I also want to encourage us as believers to ask for personal healing. I am doing this personally. If you have asked in the past and didn’t receive your healing, ask again! Do not allow past disappointments to stand in the way. Ask again! Feed your faith every day with the promises of God. Speak and declare the verses in the opening of this post daily, multiple times a day. Your faith will grow as you say and hear God‘s Word (Romans 10:17). Do this faithfully for the next several weeks and see what happens. Abraham, the father of faith, did not start with great faith. He, too, struggled at times to believe Isaac would be born. But he grew in his faith (Romans 4:18-21). You can grow in your faith, also. This occurs as you meditate (“think, muse over, speak or mutter to yourself”) on the Word and promises of God. Don’t just read the Word, say it. Pray it. Declare it. Your faith will grow until you are able to “lay hold of” with it (1 Timothy 6:12). One day soon I will share my testimony of doing this. You may want to pick up a good book on the subject of divine healing. My personal favorite is Christ the Healer by F. F. Bosworth. I realize that when I recommend this book many of you will order it. If that happens and it takes a while to get the book, please be patient. I have alerted no suppliers that I am doing this. If you cannot find a hard copy quickly, perhaps it is available as a download or as an audiobook. But this book is outstanding and will feed your faith regarding Christ’s provision of healing for us. Here is the first chapter of that book being read by Bosworth’s son, Bob. The rest of the chapters are found on the same YouTube channel. (By the way, we do NOT carry this book in our store, however, you can find it in various places online.) My heart goes out to so many who are currently suffering physically. It is time for breakthrough. We are going to pray together in just a moment for a release of miracles and healings. Join your faith with me as we do. Agreement in prayer multiplies power (Matthew 18:19). Let’s believe for this. I am expecting many testimonies of healing to come through this. Pray with me: Father, we thank You for the unsearchable riches of Christ’s redemption. He redeemed us from the curse of sin, brought us into Your family, and now shares His inheritance with us. May we never take His sacrifice and gifts for granted. Jesus, we declare today that You bore our diseases. By Your stripes, we are healed! We agree in prayer today, as You instructed us, asking for healings and miracles to manifest. Release healings now through Holy Spirit’s power, even as we pray. Heal people with painful injuries, viruses, bacterial infections, diseased organs, terminal diseases, and more. We command power into sick and afflicted people NOW! And for those You want to heal through a process of them personally laying hold by faith, we pray for them now. We hold their hands up in prayer as they persevere in speaking and thinking about Your word. May faith explode in them through the power of Your Word and the spirit of revelation (Romans 10:17; Ephesians 1:17-18). Teach them to draw on the fruit of perseverance, and through faith and patience inherit their promise (Hebrews 6:12). And finally, we pray for an awakening of faith in believers to share the good news of Christ and lay hands on the sick, praying for healing. As they do, confirm Your Word with signs following (Mark 16:15-20). Do as You did through Paul - work “extraordinary” miracles (Acts 19:11). We ask for all of this in the name of the Lord Our Healer, Jesus Christ. Amen. And it is not without good reason that intercessors are sometimes called “prayer warriors.” They are truly front-line warriors of what God does on the earth. As such, they face much opposition. It is important for the intercessor to stay closely connected to our Heavenly Father, allowing Him to daily refresh and strengthen them. He is always to be our strength. I feel that the following word from Gina Gholston is important for us, especially the intercessors. I believe it will encourage you. Without question, this word should also be received and activated by everyone, not just intercessors, but it was given to her in that context. Gina says: **************** “Recently, Holy Spirit has been leading me to pray for the intercessors. I don’t mean just casual ‘touch them, Lord’ type prayers. They have been deep, intense, and urgent prayers for wisdom, strength, protection, and health (both physically and mentally). I’ve also been asking for increased spiritual awareness and insight to manifest in the lives of those who have been called as watchmen on the wall of this nation! “It may seem odd to consider praying for those who pray, but we absolutely must pray for each other. Hell is terrified of wise, bold, and spiritually informed intercessors. Someone once said, ‘The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray.’ Demonic forces regularly target the intercessors in an attempt to blind their eyes and silence their voices. Therefore, we must establish a prayer shield over these watchmen warriors so they can stand undistracted and work with Holy Spirit in the place of intercession. “Last year I received an encouraging vision and word from the Lord. In the vision, I saw people I knew were intercessors, and they were spinning around very swiftly like a top when it has been released from the string. Off to the side, I could see the enemy watching them, laughing and mocking. Suddenly, I saw the finger of God placed on the heads of these intercessors, and the spinning stopped. And in that moment, they began to glow with a brilliant light! “Immediately, I heard the Lord say, ‘The nauseating dizziness and all of the confusion from the unexpected attacks launched against you have come to an end!’ “Then Holy Spirit said, ‘The attacks have not created a weakness! In spite of what the enemy tried to do, I have strengthened your spirit man, and what I have developed in you will now begin to radiate through you with a fervency that cannot be extinguished or avoided! Healing and strength are your portion! You are stepping out of a dark, spinning season into the light of My ‘now’ moment, and as you walk with Me I will shine through you with power and the manifestation of My might! The spinning is now becoming a ‘turning of events’...a turning in your favor!’ “Over the past few years, there has been an undeniable onslaught of spiritual resistance experienced by the praying church. BUT, Holy Spirit has put us in remembrance of this unchangeable truth: Greater is He that is in us, than any force of hell that comes against us (1 John 4:4)! Though the battle has been intense, our assurance is that hell cannot defeat us (Matthew 16: 18-19), and no amount of resistance will stop us as God works through us to fulfill His intentions for this nation! Now, the spinning is ending, and things are turning as the Ancient of Days rises on our behalf. “Intercessor, your labor in the Lord has not been in vain! Your prayers and obedience have mattered, and now God is turning things. He has put His finger on us, and we will now rise with a greater intensity and radiance of His manifested Glory! “I feel the Lord is saying to the intercessors: ‘Your relentless and persistent pursuit has captured the attention of Heaven. My eyes have run to and fro to find hearts that are turned toward Me. I have found such hearts in you, My intercessors, and now I will begin to show Myself strong on your behalf. This is a divine moment. Stay the course. Don’t get entrapped by your emotions. Don’t relax your stand on what I have said! My Word stands! Do not allow weariness to rob you of your due season! Don’t lose hope, and don’t discard your courage! I Am re-adjusting your vision and stabilizing your resolve. You will run and not grow weary! Shake off the dizziness. Reorganize for renewed activity. Be re-energized to mobilize! “Onward” is your command!’ “I sense there is an ‘increase’ coming on the intercessors—an increase of strength, vision, spiritual perception, wisdom, and strategy. God is taking us to another level of seeing and hearing in and by the Spirit. He is increasing our awareness of the authority we have in our speaking and praying. Our confidence in Him is increasing. Our boldness is increasing. We will remain steadfast at our post, and watch as Holy Spirit works through our prayers and declarations to set things in motion. The Word of the Lord will be activated to accomplish the purposes and intentions of God. “I hear a clarion call echoing from the throne room of God to the heart of the watchmen: ‘Shake off distractions. Shake off disappointment. Rise! Take your place. Set your face like a flint toward Me. Stand! Do not be moved by what you see happening around you! It’s temporary. It will not last. There is a turning in the works. I have told you ahead of time, and now is the time! Believe My promises. Remember My Word! DO NOT DOUBT IT!’ “God has risen on behalf of the watchmen. He is putting His finger on us. The spinning is becoming a turning of events. Things are turning in our favor, and with a renewed ability to focus, we will continue to work with Holy Spirit as we stand watch on the walls of this nation.” **************** Pray with me: Father, thank You for bringing the spin to an end, and for turning things in our favor. You have broken the snare, and we have escaped from hell’s attempt to stop us. We refuse to allow evil agendas to talk us into surrendering our post. We shake off the dizziness of the last season, and we take our steadfast stand as Your watchmen on the wall. Thank You for healing us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually so that with renewed focus and strength we can rise to finish what You have started in and through us! We trust You, and we will not be afraid. You are our strength and our defense, and You are our Salvation. Your favor is upon us, and You will establish the work of our hands. We breathe in Your awakening breath, and we shout with steadfast resolve, “Weariness will not rob us of our due season!” You, O, Lord, will satisfy us with Your mercy, and we will rejoice and be glad, for we shall see the performance of those things You have said and shown to us in prayer! We stand on Your unfailing Word and promises. We stand on the prophetic words You have given us that America will be saved, and the entire earth will receive a powerful outpouring of Your Spirit. We stand on the promise that our children and prodigals are coming home. We stand on the truth that everything Jesus did for us is available to us now, and we receive it all by faith. We boldly declare the promise that no weapon formed against us will prosper. Strengthen Your intercessors. Strengthen the body of Christ. Remind us not to grow weary in doing what is right, that as we stand we will prevail through You. We call in the great harvest. We call in the release of miracles. We call in provision. We release refreshing by the power of Holy Spirit. And we do these things in the wonderful and all-powerful name of Jesus. Amen. It was a powerful gathering. Holy Spirit has been waking Scott through the night with some very strong words for the Body of Christ. The one I’m going to release from him today is a very clear admonition to prepare for what Holy Spirit is about to do, AND to stop satan’s planned attacks to try and stop it…before he even launches them! Scott begins with an explanation and ends with a prophecy. At the end when we pray together, we will include a prayer asking Holy Spirit to stop the evil plan in California’s legislature to pass a bill that will allow infanticide (Assembly Bill 2223). Yes, it has come to this! The bill will be voted on today (Wednesday) - I should have done this yesterday! - but many of you read or listen to the post early in the day, so we can still agree with our praying friends in CA regarding this evil bill. **************************** Scott says: An Explanation “I am instructed by the Lord to issue an alert to the Ekklesia. Much like a tornado watch versus a warning, this is an alert, not an alarm. “This is the time to strike - NOW! Raise your swords, activate your faith, and release your anointing. This is a preemptive strike against the forces of darkness that have aligned against you, your children, your marriage, your home, and your future (in that order). “Hell has picked up the sounds, sights, and signals of the Kingdom shift that has already been activated, and has strategized a warfare assault to minimize and derail your faith. This is a push into territories that have been left unprotected, vulnerable, and weak; starting with yourself and your children. “God has issued a ‘decree of outpouring’ that rivals any earthly revival ever known to humankind. This sustained revival season we are entering will eternally shape everything we know about the Body of Christ. The repercussions of this revival will reverberate throughout history. This sustained outpouring will be talked about, studied, and analyzed. It will bring millions into the Kingdom. “This is a heavenly release that will captivate the hearts, minds, and destinies of every stratum of society. It will impact elections, governments, nations, denominations, educational systems, cultures, and history. We are entering into an era that will be defined as ‘the great turnaround.’ Churches will be planted by the thousands, but they will look different than what you have seen before. This is a movement of fire! It has already been activated in ‘hotspots’ around the world that have sensed and seen it in the Spirit. “Hell has caught wind of this divine moment in time and is in assault mode. Weaknesses will be exposed and attacked. Foundations will be shaken, unsecured assets will be seized, and anything left unsecured will be easy prey. “This all-points alert is to allow us to secure that which belongs to us now! Strike first! Everything that is secured by you will be swept into the outpouring of God. This is the instruction of heaven to ‘apply the blood to the doorposts’ of everything that is precious to you! “Take nothing for granted! Strike first, following Kingdom directives to secure your realm of influence. “Ask Holy Spirit to open your spiritual eyes and understanding, allowing you to see beyond the natural, and then secure your borders. Strike “Strike first by cleansing your home. Walk around your home, take time in your children’s rooms. Discern the space and the atmosphere. Spiritually deal with any issues, weaknesses, or vulnerabilities. Give up NO ground to the enemy. Even as you would use a diffuser to treat the air in your home, use your spiritual language, worship and decrees to treat the atmosphere of your home. “Strike first by anointing your home with anointing oil. Anoint every entry point, stopping and making your faith declarations. “Strike first by praying together as a family. Cover this time. Anoint your family with oil, making your faith declarations over them. Stop and prophesy over them. Secure their personal borders and their futures. Call them into the turnaround outpouring. “Strike first by asking Holy Spirit to reveal anything offensive to Him that could serve as an invitation to darkness. Be discerning. Remove the offense. “Alignment is protection. “Obedience is security. “Cleansing is breakthrough. “Striking first and securing the borders of your kingdom advances you into victory. It literally postures you in a place of sustained outpouring that establishes the destiny of your lineage for generations to come. The Word of the Lord: “‘I have given the order, I have released the oil, I have decided the provision. Kingdom protocols that will facilitate turnaround outpouring are already in place. The sustaining structures of My Spirit have been established. The sound has gone forth, the shofar has blown. Hell has been shaken, and will continue to be shaken at every stratum of society, and My glory will permeate the world at levels never seen or imagined. “‘Those kingdoms, both carnal and spiritual, that are in violation of My Kingdom are being exposed and dismantled. I will not share My glory with false gods or leaders who flaunt their rebellion as if the righteousness and protocol of My Kingdom are irrelevant. “‘Secure your place by striking first. Protect those in your kingdom by submitting to My Kingdom. As you secure My Lordship in your life, the testimony of My faithfulness will rest upon all that you are, for generations to come. We bind every plan of attack against what is ours and decree that on the authority of Your word they are off-limits to every demonic attack. We will obey Your instructions by cleansing our homes, anointing them with the oil, praying over our family members, and removing anything offensive to You. We will strike quickly and effectively. The Left certainly knows this and has pulled out all the stops. They no longer even attempt to masquerade their attempts at taking over. Winning by persuasion and numbers is no longer their plan; they intend to take over by force, laws, and intimidation. In their demented minds, parents no longer have the right to control the education of their children, and kindergartners are supposed to be indoctrinated regarding sexual preferences. The fruit of allowing humanistic ideals to control our nation is now in complete manifestation: truth no longer matters, and lying to advance their agenda is perfectly acceptable. The average American, even those who do not profess to be Christians, shakes her or his head in wonder asking, “How did we get to this insane point?” That certainly needs to be addressed in order to reform our nation. But the strongholds which now exist will never be fully overcome only in the legislative chambers and courtrooms of America only. A Third Great Awakening MUST occur to reawaken the conscience of millions in America. Yes, much else must be done, but without an awakening, there is no solution. God needs Christians with a warrior’s spirit,’ she said. “‘Patton attended the Virginia Military Institute and the United States Military Academy at West Point. He studied fencing and designed the M1913 Cavalry Saber, more commonly known as the Patton Saber. He also competed in the modern pentathlon in the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden.’. 1 As a U. S. Army general, Patton’s leadership was strategic in winning battles. “‘George Smith Patton Jr. (1885–1945) was a general who commanded the Seventh United States Army in the Mediterranean theater of World War II, and the Third United States Army in France and Germany after the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944. ‘“Patton conducted a highly successful rapid armored drive across France. Pray by night and pray by day. Pray for the cessation of immoderate rains, for good weather for battle. Pray for the defeat of our wicked enemy whose banner is injustice and whose god is oppression. Pray for victory. Pray for our Army and pray for peace. We must march together, all out for God.’ 4 “General Patton once told his men, ‘You must acquire the warrior’s soul.’ Here is another strong quote of his: ‘There are three ways that men get what they want; by planning, by working, and by praying. Any great military operation takes careful planning or thinking. Then you must have well-trained troops to carry it out: that's the working. But between the plan and the operation, there is always an unknown. That unknown spells defeat or victory, success or failure. It is the reaction of the actors to the ordeal when it actually comes. Some people call that getting the breaks; I call it God. God has His part or margin in everything, that's where prayer comes in.’ 5 “Prayer and spiritual warfare must be used when God’s enemy and ours, satan and his demonic forces, attempt to wreak havoc in our families, communities, nations. We battle the enemy to break his assignment, using the weapons God has provided for us: the Word of God, the name and power of Jesus. “Paul instructs Christians that their struggle is not with flesh and blood but with invisible principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. He says to come against the ‘wiles of the devil’ - the enemy’s evil schemes - by putting on the full armor of God, taking a stand, praying in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests, and staying alert. (Ephesians 6:18; NIV). “Of course, Christ’s victory over satan is complete. Yet, we have a role in enforcing that victory. God is looking for those with a ‘warrior spirit’ to see corruption unveiled and truth prevail in our nation. Dutch Sheets comments: ‘How does this warrior spirit translate into action today against the spiritual giants of our land? Obviously, it begins with prayer - spiritual warfare. But there is more. Standing for truth, voting out of office individuals with unbiblical ideals, giving to righteous causes, speaking out against all that oppose the rule of God - all are ways by which we war.’ 6 “With Jesus, we will win where we fight! But we have to engage in spiritual warfare.” Pray with me: Father, as we stand in the gap for our nation, cities, and families, we declare that the power of the blood of Jesus breaks every chain of bondage. Let every scheme of evil be exposed and thwarted before they can be carried out. We declare that no weapon formed against our nation shall prosper. Every tongue that would rise up against us in judgment will be exposed and cast down. We pray for the manifold wisdom of God to rest upon all who are in authority over our country. May truth and discernment guide every decision they make in their public and private lives. May unrighteous officials currently in office be replaced by those who will serve with integrity. We cry for justice and mercy, truth and righteousness to be established. We thank You in the name of Jesus. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/april-4-2022 April 4, 2022 Love’s Motivation First, I want to say thank you for the tremendous feedback we received from the three posts last week on forgiveness and being released from the wounds of the past. We do not usually know until later how certain things we are led to say or do are needed and appreciated. It seems that these teachings were very timely and a great blessing to many. Thank you again for the feedback. As you know, if you follow these daily posts on a regular basis, my goal is certainly to focus on issues that need corporate prayer. However, they are also intended to be devotionals and teachings, to help you in your personal walk and growth. And, of course, they are meant to inform you of issues you may not hear of elsewhere, that need our prayers. I want to pick up on a teaching I gave a week or so ago regarding God‘s instructions to Joshua when he was assuming the leadership over Israel. In that post, I pointed out that when Joshua was about to step into this important assignment, which involved possessing the promised inheritance God spoke of to Abraham, Yahweh began with some very interesting instructions: “Remember the basics, Joshua. Listen to Me, obey Me, meditate in My words, don’t be afraid,” and more. Have your devotions first, then go to war! Nothing should ever stand in the way of our personal times with our Father. It should be understood that the book of Joshua is a picture for us of how to possess or inherit our spiritual promises from God. What Israel did physically - possess the land - we do spiritually. We are to apply the lessons and principles given to them in order to possess our spiritual inheritance in Christ. Joshua was not the original name given to this leader. His name was changed from Hoshea to Joshua, which comes from the same Hebrew word as Yeshua, because he was going to be a very wonderful type or picture of Christ. Just as Joshua led Israel into their inheritance, Christ would lead us into ours. And many lessons are to be gleaned from Israel’s experiences and applied to the possessing of our promises. Here is our lesson from the book of Joshua for today. Seven times in the first chapter of Joshua the word “command” is used by Holy Spirit. Twice the phrase, “be careful to do, according to all” was used. This means a total of nine times in the first chapter when preparing Israel to possess their inheritance, God emphasized the need to obey Him very carefully. It is as though Yahweh was telling them, “Settle this now. You do not have the freedom to think about whether or not you will obey Me. You must obey Me immediately and without hesitation. This is not a suggestion; it is a requirement.” The first act of obedience was then required. The Lord told Joshua, “Start packing. In three days you are going to cross over the Jordan and begin this war.” No debate. No negotiating on the timing. Just, “Get started. You have three days.” One would think that after 40 years of waiting God could’ve given this multitude of people more than three days to pack everything and prepare to move. But, no. God had a schedule in mind and He did not want them to wait. This would be done in His timing. They did not realize that much of what they did was based on God‘s eternal calendar, that the day of their crossing over would one day coincide with the events of the cross. God’s timing was about more than their convenience and certainly beyond their understanding. But He needed it done on that day. “So start packing, Joshua.” Some Christians want to find out what God wants, then they’ll decide whether or not they want to do it. This is a recipe for failure. We must decide, in advance, that He is in charge and we will do whatever He asks of us, whatever the cost, regardless of how much it stretches our faith. We must obey if we are to inherit our provision through Christ. We may not always like the process, but we will always love the fruit. This does not mean we are “earning” God’s blessings. It means we are walking in step with His instructions, which guarantee life and victory. God’s commandments and instructions are to bless us, protect us, lead us in the right ways, bring freedom to us, and advance His purposes - not to produce bondage or a performance mentality. Simply stated, He knows what is best. We are to say along with the Psalmist, “I delight to do your will” (Psalm 40:8). There are five New Testament words for a servant/serving. One day I will teach on all of them in a post. But two of them are doulos and latris. A doulos was a bond-slave. Latris, however, from the verb form latreuo, means to serve, not out of compulsion but from relationship. A parent serves his or her family by providing and caring for them - not as a slave but out of the motivation of love. This is latreuo. Romans 12:1 tells us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God, “which is our reasonable service.” (KJV) Other versions of Scripture translate the phrase differently, and appropriately so: “which is our reasonable service of worship.” (NASV) They do this because the word is latreuo, not doulos. We are not being told to present our bodies as a living sacrifice because we are God’s slaves, but rather to do so because we are in relationship with Him and we want to please Him. He knows what is best for us and we trust Him. And as we do this it is considered worship, not just service. Yes, God owns us. This is true by the right of creation, but also because we are bought with a price by the blood of Jesus (1 Corinthians 6:20; 7:23). As Lord, He can tell us to do anything He wants. And the apostle, Paul, regularly referred to himself as a doulos, God’s bondslave. In the early days of the Charismatic Movement we frequently sang the song, “He is Lord.” And He is. But God’s heart is not to treat us as slaves “owned” by Him, but to relate to us as His children and friends (John 15:14-15). He wants us to serve Him from a heart of love and worship, from relationship. When we move into this type of relationship with Him we become co-laborers with God, working together with Him. We embrace the great commission as a co-mission. Our hearts have become one with His and we want what He wants. We’re members of Abba’s household of faith. This motivation changes everything. Yes, Paul referred to himself as a bond slave, but he also said the love of God constrained him to do what he did (2 Corinthians 5:14). As we move forward in praying and working toward the great harvest that is beginning, we must establish that we will obey God fully. But we must also realize that we are His partners, friends, and kids. As the Senior Partner, He will give us direction, but He delights in involving us in the process. Pray with me: Father, Your heart toward us is amazing. As the infinite God, You want relationship with a human family. We are overwhelmed at Your incredible plan of the ages: creating us, redeeming us, and giving us a membership in Your heavenly family. May we never take this for granted. We are reminded today that You are indeed the Lord and Master. You are Almighty God. But You are also Father. Abba. You love us with an everlasting love. And as we pray, may we always remember that we are working together with You, not just for You. So as we intercede today, we remember that we are agreeing with You, not attempting to talk You into something. We ask for revival and the great harvest because You want that. We ask for salvation to come to people because it’s what You want. We ask for miracles because You want to perform them. We ask for deliverance because You want to set people free. We extend the victory of the cross into the earth now and we declare a spirit of deliverance be released throughout the world. We call forth the great awakening and harvest that is in Your heart and release it into the earth now, in the mighty name of Jesus. Our decree: We decree that we are co-laborers with God on the earth and as such, we move in His plan and authority. I have posted on the subject during the previous two days - however, this one reveals, to some extent, the sense of humor God has. A couple of years after insisting that I forgave the man I held responsible for so much pain in my family, and enabling me to do so, (read about it here), the Lord led me to Christ For the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas. It was there that I became much better grounded in the Word of God, learned to pray, became a true worshiper, embraced a heart for the nations, and met my lovely wife, Ceci. It was a great two years. Shortly after arriving, to my surprise I ran into the son of the man I had hated so strongly. His son was also there as a student. Tom (not his real name) happened to be in the cluster of 15 or 20 students that became my inner circle there. I wouldn’t say he became a best friend, but we were definitely friends. He was a few years younger than me and had no idea of the past hatred I once held for his dad. I’m sure he was completely unaware of what had even taken place a few years prior to this. Tom had gotten into drugs and alcohol while in high school and became horribly addicted. He had come to Christ and was attending the Bible institute to help firm up his walk with the Lord. I found it very encouraging that I could relate to this young man with no feelings of awkwardness or resentment. About six months into my time there, Tom had a bit of a relapse and used some recreational drugs, which was obviously against the very strict policy of the Institute. The Institute wasn’t legalistic. However, it was not a rehabilitation center and was not equipped to deal with drug addiction and rehabilitation, so they were very firm in their stance. To violate the policy meant dismissal, with their help in finding a place more suited to ministering to them. The Dean of Men, who would be making this decision and doling out the consequences, called me to his office. I knew him somewhat from some on-campus prayer meetings I had attended. He was very strict regarding the school’s policies, but was also very prophetic. He prayed regarding situations of this nature, asking Holy Spirit to give him wisdom and guidance. I had no idea why he was summoning me to his office. He explained what happened with Tom, and spelled out the normal consequences for the offense. “I want to give him another chance, however,” he stated. “I believe his heart is right. He is a friend of yours, isn’t he?” he asked. “Yes” I said, “he is a friend.” I felt truly spiritual being able to say that, and was very satisfied with myself. Not that I was proud, you understand. My assumption was that the Dean was about to ask me if I thought it was a good idea to give Tom another chance. NOT..! “I have noticed you in the prayer room and observed you praying on occasion,” he began. I was, indeed, attempting to become an intercessor. I certainly wasn’t an expert, but I was passionate. “I am willing to give Tom a second chance,” he said, “if you are willing to take him on as a personal assignment. You must take him to the prayer room every day and pray over him, teaching him to pray, and helping him get free from his addictions.” Did I mention that this Dean was very prophetic?! He knew nothing about my past with this young man‘s father. But had he ever heard from God! I said yes, and left the room astounded. I’m not sure what my exact words to the Lord were when I left the dean’s office, but it was something like this, “Well, God, You sure do have a sense of humor.” “I do,” He said. “But I’m doing more than being humorous. I’m finishing the job. Drive the nail into the coffin of your past. Make satan pay. Overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21) You are free in your heart; now seal it with your actions.” I was able to do what I had been assigned to do. I dragged this young man to the prayer room every day - actually, he had no choice - and prayed over him, as well as making him pray, for an hour or so. Surprise, surprise! It worked…for both of us. We chased off his demons and buried my past pain. Only God. Tom became free and was able to remain free - to this day, I trust. Overcome in the above verse (Romans 12:21), is the Greek word, nikao. It means “to conquer, prevail, overcome; even legally - to win in a court of law.” It’s a wonderful word describing our God-infused ability to be overcomers in life. There is one place, however, where Holy Spirit evidently decided this word was not strong enough to describe the overcoming nature He has given us. Romans 8:37 tells us: “But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us,” (NASB). It is almost as though as this revelation is breathed into Paul by Holy Spirit, so he can pass it on to us, he is overcome by the strength of what he is seeing. As he searches his mind for the correct word, Paul comes up empty and finally has to take two words and make them one: hupernikao, translated above as “overwhelmingly conquer.” This Greek word is used nowhere else in the New Testament. The prefix huper means “overwhelmingly, over, beyond, exceedingly, excessively, more than.” Our English word, hyper, comes from this Greek word. Paul, overwhelmed with emotion and excitement, shouts with his pen, “We are hyperconquerors! We overwhelmingly conquer! Our conquering ability is excessive, over the top!” Holy Spirit wants you to win over, conquer, your past. “Through Him who loved us,” Paul goes on to say (Romans 8:37b). Everything God does is motivated by His heart of love. He’s a giver, a blesser, a healer, a destiny-provider. When He asks us to release, let go of past offenses, He is actually saying, “Here’s how I can get rid of this pain. Let me have it.” Forgiveness, releasing the person who hurt you, is one of the ways God erases the negative side of the ledger. He moves your pain into the asset column, making it serve you! You can do this. Let it go..! Pray with me: Father, we thank You for Your determination to heal, equip, and strengthen us for success. You have a plan for each of us and You are determined to accomplish it. We pray the prayer of the Psalmist, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way” (Psalm 139:23-24). (“Hurtful way” could be translated “way of pain.”) Show us any pain in us that could keep us from accomplishing everything You planned for us. We want clean hands and pure hearts. We pray now for our brothers and sisters who struggle with things they have experienced in the past. Help them to let go. Pour Your grace into them, enabling them to release it all to You. You are such a good Father. You will release and heal them completely. And we pray that in the coming revival, we will be healing agents. We ask You for wholeness, and an anointing to produce wholeness. We can be the generation that heals our land of racism, division, and strife. Start in us, Your people and anoint us to be Your “able ministers of the new covenant” (2 Corinthians 3:6). Expose all evil that is used to divide us as a nation. Expose those with wrong motives, who do so. Raise up leaders in all segments of our society who are healthy and whole, not bitter and determined to live in the past. They try to divide us, not heal us. Deliver us from their leadership, we pray. And we ask it all in Christ’s name. Amen. The New Testament word for an offense is actually the part of an animal trap upon which a piece of raw meat was placed. When an animal reached for the meat the trap was sprung and they were captured. It is very interesting that the word for an offense basically means to “take the bait.” This is also why it is called “picking up” an offense. Regarding forgiveness, in yesterday's post (Don’t Take the Bait), we mentioned that the word means “to release.” In Luke 6:37 Jesus said, “Release, and you will be released.” When we release the person who has offended or wounded us, we can then be released from the bruises and pain they caused us. We also said yesterday that forgiveness is a choice - a decision - not a feeling. When I was 17 years old, my family went through a very difficult time. The Board of Directors of the church my father was pastoring fired him and kicked us out of the home where we were living. The house had been given to us, but put in the church’s name. We were left homeless and penniless. Shortly thereafter, my father divorced my mother and married another woman. Mom was devastated - her circumstances had gone from bad to catastrophic. I remember holding her in my arms as she wept, saying she did not want to go on living. I did not know how to process all of the pain I was experiencing. I didn’t want to blame God or my father, so I blamed all of this on the chairman of that church board. I focused all of my anger upon him, an anger that soon became a bitter hatred. I said on several occasions that I could not kill this man, but I would rejoice if someone else did. I also became bitter at the church, in general. I associated my pain and my family’s disintegration with religion and swore I would never darken the door of another church. I became very rebellious and turned to drugs and alcohol. God was incredibly patient. He protected me and for two years waited patiently for me to come to a point where I could respond to Him again. I returned to Him and have enjoyed a wonderful walk with God since that time. Around six months into my renewed walk with the Lord, He began dealing with me about my hatred for the man I had blamed for all of our problems. I heard Holy Spirit very clearly telling me I would have to forgive him. I did not angrily resist the Lord, but I did not believe I could ever truly do so. What I had against this man was so deep in me I had no confidence whatsoever that I would be able to forgive him, and I told the Lord this. It’s comical sometimes when we act as though the Lord doesn’t know what we’re thinking. Holy Spirit was very gentle with me. He was not pushing, His promptings always came as a gentle nudge deep in my heart. He was, however, insistent and persistent. “You will have to do this if you want My best for you and to truly be free from all of the pain this caused you,” He said. When my heart softened to the point that I was willing, Holy Spirit began teaching me how to do it. Some of what He taught me I shared in yesterday's post. He revealed to me that I could have feelings of anger, hurt, etc., toward this man in my mind and emotions, but still choose to forgive from my heart allowing that to overrule my emotions. “You don’t like to get up early some days and go to work but you do it anyway because it’s right, and it’s your responsibility,” he said. “You don’t like certain aspects of exercise but you do it anyway because you know you need to,” He said again. Then came the winning blow, “Jesus did not want to go to the Cross, but He did so anyway, for the joy He knew it would produce later,” (Hebrews 12:2). “Choose to do this because it’s right, even though you don’t want to and you don’t feel like it. If you will make this choice and maintain the decision daily, I will release you from all the pain, resentment, and hatred. Your responsibility is to let go; it’s my responsibility to heal your emotions and release you from every effect of this. Choose life!” Somehow this clicked in my thinking. I realized I didn’t have to have any positive feelings about this man, whatsoever. I simply needed to release him to God and trust Him to deal with what had happened. I did so daily, saying something along these lines (it’s important to say it), “I choose to release David (not his real name) from all he did to hurt my family.” Every time he came to mind and unpleasant feelings began rising up inside of me, I would say it again, “I choose to release David from all he did to hurt my family.” Some days I had to do this multiple times. After a couple of weeks, he was rarely coming to my mind, and when he did, I felt less and less emotion. But I would say it again. A week or two after that, I thought of him and I realized I felt no pain or anger, whatsoever. I was shocked. I knew God had released me from all the effects of what had occurred two years earlier. However, Holy Spirit wanted to show me that I was truly healed. One night my mom and I were returning home from a Sunday night service, and stopped at a local restaurant to grab a bite to eat. There were no tables available and we were waiting for one, when I noticed this particular man and his wife seated across the room. He noticed us at the same time. I also noticed that he and his wife were seated at a table for four people, and two of the chairs were empty. He jumped to his feet and headed in our direction. Well, I thought to myself, I’m about to find out if this is real. He wanted to do more than just say hello. “Would the two of you like to join us at our table,” he asked. “Sure,” said my mother, “that’s very kind of you.” I kept waiting for that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that I used to feel when I thought of him. I waited for at least a mix of negative emotions. But there were none. I realized I was not having to feign being nice to him while burying my anger and hatred. It was very easy - actually, it felt normal - to treat him with kindness. And I felt no pain whatsoever. All I could do was thank the Lord for delivering me from my chains of bitterness. This man did not become my friend, but he was no longer my enemy. Friends, no matter what your situation is, who hurt you, or how long ago it occurred, He can do this for you. Let’s pray. Pray with me: Father, it is impossible to go through life and not have numerous opportunities to forgive. You said offenses will come. You did not tell us to forgive only if we felt like doing so; You said we must do it. You never ask us to do anything You will not enable us to do. So we choose this day to honor Your word and obey it from our hearts, our spirits, regardless of how our emotions feel. As we do what You say, our emotions and feelings must come into alignment with the Word-based decision we make. They must…and they will. As we release, we will be released. And now, Father, we ask for a release of tremendous grace to everyone praying this prayer with us now. Give them grace to forgive and release. Let a process of healing begin now for people who have been abandoned, abused, rejected, betrayed, and harmed in any way. Cause the revelation that forgiveness is a choice we can all make to become strong in them. May today mark a new beginning for all who need one, and all of the negative results of what they have suffered be reversed. Let this begin today. Heal bodies through this. Mend hurting hearts and minds. Tear down the walls we’ve built to protect our emotions. Cause victims to be victimized no longer. Let the abused go free. Release captives, mend broken hearts, and restore hope. We ask that this truly be a new beginning. And we ask it all in the name of the great healer, Jesus. Amen. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/march-30-2022 March 30, 2022 Don’t Take the Bait In Luke 17:1 Jesus tells us that offenses are inevitable; they WILL come. The Greek word for “offense” is skandalon. It is also translated as a “stumbling block,” a word or event which causes an individual to stumble or fall, figuratively speaking. This word is very fascinating. Skandalon literally means “a trap-stick.” (1) It was the trigger of a trap (usually made of wood) on which bait was placed; when the bait was taken by an animal, the trap was sprang. Skandalon is also the Greek word from which we get our English word, scandal. When we, like an unsuspecting animal, take certain types of bait, we are trapped and often find ourselves in a scandalous situation. It also became the word for an “offense.” An offense is a result of “taking the bait” when wronged. Thus the phrase, “pick up an offense.” When we have been wronged or mistreated the key to remaining free from bitterness and lasting pain is to not pick up the offense - don’t take the bait. Jesus told us very clearly that we WILL be baited - offenses WILL come. We must not pick them up - they are traps! The bait in an animal trap is food the creature finds appealing, something it desires to eat. How else could the trap actually be successful? Likewise, we pick up offenses because it is desirable, feels good, to pick it up. When treated poorly or unfairly, stolen from, spoken to harshly, abused or mistreated, it feels good to take the bait. We “deserve” to be angry, to feel resentful, to take up an offense. After all, they hurt us. But it’s a trap! Years ago, in a certain part of Africa, monkeys were trapped by placing a banana in a jar that was tied to a tree or stake. The opening of the jar was just large enough for the monkey’s hand to fit through it when open. However, when the hand was closed into a fist it was too big to remove it. The monkey wanted the banana so badly it would not let go of it, and consequently could not remove its hand. It was now trapped. If you have picked up an offense, if you have taken the bait, let go of it. It’s the only way to be free. If you hold on to it, you will become a captive to the enemy and to the effects of the wound. This brings us to the subject of forgiveness. Jesus told us in Luke 6:37 to forgive and we would be forgiven. In the prayer we call the Lord‘s Prayer, Jesus again instructed us to forgive our debtors, or “those who trespass against us.” The word forgive also means to release. “Release and you will be released,” Luke 6:37 says. The key to being freed from the effects of being wronged - pain, fear, emotional walls, and more - is to release the person that hurt us. Let go of the banana. It may feel good to resent or hate the offending party, but it’s a trap. One of the biggest hindrances for people when trying to forgive is a wrong understanding of forgiveness itself. Most people link it with their feelings. But forgiveness is not a feeling or an emotion. It is a decision we make based on truth, just like love. Being angry at someone we love doesn’t mean we no longer love them. We may not “feel” the love currently - emotionally, we feel anger - but we still love the person. In the same way, forgiveness isn’t a feeling. We can make a genuine decision to forgive/release, while still feeling anger, hurt, pain, etc. We do so as an action of our will, based on truth - God said do it. And if we maintain our decision, it begins the process of releasing us from the pain and hurt. Another hindrance to forgiveness is failing to realize we are not declaring the offending person to be innocent. We are simply releasing them to God - He reserves the right to judge individuals. We are handing them over to Him and He will do what is right. Still another hindrance is a belief that when we forgive we must then have only pleasant thoughts or feelings toward the offender. There are people I have forgiven that I still do not trust or like as a person. They are mean and unkind. But I can choose to love and forgive even my enemies, releasing them to God, though they will never be my friends. When we pick up an offense, if not released, it will become a root of bitterness. The fruit it produces is also bitter: sickness, emotional disorders, anger, loss of joy and a breach between us and God. It also spreads to others. Hebrews tells us a root of bitterness defiles many. “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled” (Hebrews 12:15; KJV). The Greek word defiled is also the word for a stain on clothing. When we become bitter we stain others with our bitterness. We’ve all seen entire families separated through bitterness. How tragic. In tomorrow’s post I will share the story of my hatred toward an individual, and God’s healing of my hardened heart. I truly hated this man and would have loved to see him die. God, however, showed me I could release him and thereby, be released from my own chains. He will help you do the same. Pray with me: Father, we thank You for modeling love and forgiveness. While we were still sinners You sent Your Son to die for us. Jesus, You forgave those crucifying You. We want Your forgiving nature to control us. We want to walk in love. We ask for grace now to do so. As You taught us to do, we choose to forgive those who have hurt us. We release them. As we do so, we believe it will release a healing process in us. Wounds will heal, sickness will leave, emotions will no longer control us. We desire to forgive and release so You can forgive us (Mark 11:25). And Lord, we know healed people heal people. Make us healers. Help us to spread healing love, not stain-causing bitterness. Heal our land of racial wounds, political division, and cultural divides. We want to see the accuser cast down in our nation. We bind spirits of division and strife, declaring their hold broken. We desire to be ambassadors and examples of your love and forgiveness toward others. Help us represent You well. We pray these things in Christ’s powerful name. Ecclesiastes 7:39 in the Good News Bible, Today’s English Version says, “God made us plain and simple, but we have made ourselves very complicated.” I’ve always felt the latter part of the verse was true about women, and I’ve been told emphatically that the first half is true of men. But I now believe it is all true for all of us. I can complicate almost any problem, regardless of how simple it might be, making it huge and complex. And I don’t like it when someone else tries to trivialize it, or gives me some simple plan to fix it. Somehow, I just seem to feel more important when I have big problems with complicated solutions. I’m an Ecclesiastes 7:39 kind of guy! We must learn to de-complicate life, in general; but we must especially uncomplicate our relationship with Christ. Paul said to the church at Corinth, “But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion of Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3, italics mine). Life can be very complicated; theology can, as well. At times, if we’re not careful, both can get downright confusing. But the Lord impresses on my heart time and time again. There is nothing complicated about relationship with Me. It was A. W. Tozer who said: “Now, as always, God [discloses] himself to “babes” and hides Himself in thick darkness from the wise and the prudent. We must simplify our approach to Him. We must strip down to essentials (and they will be found to be blessedly few). We must put away all efforts to impress, and come with the guileless candor of childhood. If we do this, without doubt, God will quickly respond.” (1) Tozer also said: “There are occasions when for hours I lay prostrate before God without saying a word of prayer or a word of praise - I just gaze on Him and worship.” (2) Sometimes no words are needed as we enjoy God’s company. In 2 Corinthians 11:3 simplicity is the Greek word haplotes. Its most literal meaning is “singleness, without dissimulation or duplicity;” (3) or “the opposite of duplicity.” (4) The verse is saying that, in our devotion to Christ, we must not be double-minded. We must guard against anything causing dissimulation, division or a watering down. It is okay to be multifaceted in our gifts and activity, and it is wise to be broad-based in our understanding, but in our approach to relationship with Jesus we must be very single-minded. Allow no other person or activity to crowd Him out. To take Him for granted or allow Him to simply be one of many priorities will weaken us. “One New Year’s Day in the Tournament of Roses parade, a beautiful float suddenly sputtered and quit. It was out of gas. The whole parade was held up until someone could get a can of gas. “An amusing aspect of this was that the float represented the Standard Oil Company. With its vast oil resources, its truck was out of gas.” (5) Often we who have within us the well of salvation fail to drink from it. And like the Standard Oil float, we sometimes run out of gas. Drink from the well daily. Don’t allow Christ to lose His wonder for you. In Christianity Today, Philip Yancey writes: “I remember my first visit to Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park. Rings of American, Japanese, and German tourists surrounded the geyser, their video cameras trained like weapons on the famous hole in the ground. (For those of you too young to remember carrying a large video camera around on vacations rather than a small phone, you don’t know how convenient life has become. ) A large, digital clock stood beside the spot, predicting 24 minutes until the next eruption. “My wife and I passed the countdown in the dining room of Old Faithful Inn overlooking the geyser. When the digital clock reached one minute, we, along with every other diner, left our seats and rushed to the windows to see the big event. “I noticed that immediately, as if on signal, a crew of busboys and waiters descended on the tables to refill water glasses and clear away dirty dishes. When the geyser went off, we tourists oohed and aahed and clicked our cameras; a few spontaneously applauded. But, glancing back over my shoulder, I saw that not a single waiter or busboy - not even those who had finished their chores - looked out the huge windows. Old Faithful, grown entirely too familiar, had lost its power to impress them.” (6) I’m afraid this describes many Christians’ relationships with the One we call Faithful and True. We’ve known Him so long, become so accustomed to Him, well, you know… Don’t ever stop being impressed with Jesus! Do you ever listen and not really hear? The word “listening” in Greek is the word akouo, which means not only to hear, but to understand. One definition said, “To understand, hear with the ear of the mind.” (7) Jesus repeatedly said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear,” (Matthew 11:15 and others). This places the responsibility of hearing on us. We must choose to posture ourselves in a way that allows us to really hear. In Luke 10:38-42, Jesus commended Mary for listening (akouo), while Martha was busy in the kitchen. He said Mary had chosen the good thing, which would produce lasting fruit. Interestingly enough, the word for “obey” (hupakouo) comes from the same word. The prefix hupo means “under,” making the literal meaning of this word, “hear under.”) The biblical concept of obedience is: (1) hearing and understanding someone, then (2) bringing your will under what they have said. Mary was truly hearing (akouo) Christ, which would allow her to obey (hupakouo). May we be more like Mary, having unencumbered obedience, truly willing to listen, hear, and submit. Pray with me: Father, life gets complicated at times. Our plates get full and we sometimes say, we “don’t have enough hours in a day.” But You told us in Ecclesiastes that WE complicate things. You have challenged us that no matter how busy and hectic life gets, we must keep our relationship with You foremost and simple - uncomplicated. We know that if we truly listen, You will speak to us - in our hearts and through Your Word. We choose to listen. We choose to have listening and hearing ears. And we choose to bring ourselves under what we hear from You… we choose to obey. We draw near to You, confident that as we do, You will draw near to us. We pray now for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray for refreshing to those who are weary, peace to those who are anxious, and endurance to those who are tired. We ask You for the Spirit of revelation to intensify among Your people. Holy Spirit, would You lift the veil in order that those who have never known they could hear Your voice would now begin hearing You and enjoying a fellowship they’ve never known. We ask for these things in Christ’s name. Amen. Our decree: We decree that we have ears to hear what Holy Spirit is saying to the church. He said nothing about fasting, intercession, holiness, not even faith - all of which are good and important. They had just watched Him feed 5000 people with five loaves of bread and two fish, walk on water, and then cause He and the entire boat of disciples to be translated (see John 6). Not a bad day’s work. “Therefore they said to Him, ‘What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?’ Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent,’” (John 6:28-29; NASB). Jesus took the answer to their question back to the principle of relationship. In the kingdom of God, everything starts and finishes with relationship. In Luke chapter 10, they had gotten their wish and were now empowered and authorized to work miracles and cast out demons. After their evangelistic crusades, they came back to Him rejoicing that even the demons were subject to them in His name. Jesus did not budge from the principal. “Don’t rejoice because the demons are subject to you,” He said, “rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” In other words, rejoice because you are now a part of Mine and My Father‘s family. He was not downplaying deliverance and miracles; He was “up-playing” relationship with the Father. Proverbs 3:5-6 is probably the most quoted and well-known passage on guidance from Holy Spirit: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths,” (Proverbs 3:5-6; KJV). The word “ways,” translated from the Hebrew word derek, means literally a “way, road, journey, manner, work.”(1) More often than not, however, it is used metaphorically, referring to the actions and behavior of people.(2) It “has the unusual sense of ‘sexual favors’ in Jeremiah 3:13 and Proverbs 31:3.” Derek is the word chosen for the act of courting in Proverbs 30:19.(3) Imagine that, courting God. Consistent with this relational theme, the word “acknowledge” comes from yada, which is the Old Testament word also used for knowing someone in a very intimate - even physical - way.(4) Adam knew (yada) Eve, and she conceived (see Genesis 4:1). Using these concepts and definitions we could paraphrase Proverbs 3:6, “In all you do, pursue and court God; seek intimacy with Him.” In the “ways” of ministry and life in general, many things are courted: success, advancement, fame, other people, glory, money, favor, and a myriad of other goals we humans strive to reach. Gordon Dahl aptly said, “Most middle-class Americans tend to worship their work, to work at their play, and to play at their worship.”(5) Seeking and loving God with all of our hearts, souls, minds, and strength is often lost in the melee. As is our source of strength and life. Nothing will cause the flow of God’s life to abate more quickly than this common mistake. We must drink daily from the fountain. Sometimes I feel like the small child in the “Family Circus” cartoon who ran up to his mother exclaiming, “I need a hug, Mommy. I used up the last one.”(6) It doesn’t take long to use up our spiritual hugs. What happens when we pursue God? Courting Him in all of our ways and work (derek) leads to intimacy (yada), which leads to conception. Just as Adam knew Eve physically and she conceived, as we seek and wait on God spiritually, He speaks to us. When He does, the seed of His word (see 1 Peter 1:23) is planted in us, and that which is born from our lives is now of Him. Our visions, plans, methods, ministries, relationships - all can then be born of God, not of ourselves. God isn’t into surrogate revelation - someone else carrying His seed of revelation for us. He wants to sow it into us personally. He wants to breathe His word into our hearts. Insights we receive from others are good and valid, but if that is the only way we receive, we’re living far below our privileges. God is not into artificial insemination regarding His words either - placing His seed in us without a relationship. MP3s, videos, conferences, podcasts, and books are all good but they must not take the place of hearing from God personally and directly. Conferences, where the word of God is flowing wonderfully, can become nothing more than a sterile laboratory of information if we’re not careful. The problem is not receiving teaching through another - this is obviously one of the ways God releases understanding - the problem is when this becomes the primary source of our information. We cannot live only on another person’s revelation. We must hear from God ourselves. And when He speaks to us through someone else, we should still pray and meditate over the information (courting God) until it becomes a personal word of revelation to us. The Church is filled with people trying to walk out someone else’s revelation, vision, ideas, and methods. These things may have worked well for the person sharing them. But each of us must allow Holy Spirit to show us how to apply truth to our personal situations. What is God saying to ME now? must be the question we ask ourselves. The works of God are not produced by methods, they are born of the Spirit! Pray with me: Father, we are very confident of the coming wave of signs, wonders and miracles throughout the earth. You will obviously release this because Your Word clearly says signs follow the preaching of the gospel (Mark 16). But You also clearly said the key to working Your works is believing in Your Son and building a relationship with You. In response, we draw near to You. We worship You. We love You and Your Word. As we do so, we ask You to release signs and wonders. Open blind eyes, heal diseased bodies, deliver those bound and oppressed by demonic entities and beliefs. Send awakening to our churches, our pastors, and believers in general. May blazing fire be released, a raging river of Your passion and Holy Spirit flow, and the former and latter rains of revival fall simultaneously. And we continue to release prayers regarding Ukraine. End this evil, send revival there. Also, send great revival to Russia and all of Europe. Stop Putin and his murderous activities. Also, we continue to decree that the spirit of Baal operating in the Supreme Court of America is losing its hold. We agree now that the spirit of death reigning in America through abortion is being broken. We ask You to influence the Justices regarding the Dobbs case, and we ask for the turning of a Justice from a Saul to a Paul. Deliver them, we pray, in Christ’s name. Amen. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/march-25-2022 March 25, 2022 First Things First In Joshua chapter one, Joshua is in the midst of a major - and what would no doubt be a very emotional and challenging - transition. The new season he was entering would be stressful, very demanding, and would test his leadership skills to the limit. Firstly, Moses, Joshua’s spiritual father, mentor, probably a close friend, and one of the greatest leaders in history, has just died: “The Lord spoke to Moses that very same day, saying, ‘Go up to this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab opposite Jericho, and look at the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the sons of Israel for a possession. Then die on the mountain where you ascend, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people,’” (Deuteronomy 32:48-50; NASB). “So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord. And [God] buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; but no man knows his burial place to this day,” (Deuteronomy 34:5-6; NASB). “Now it came about after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying, ‘Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel,’” (Joshua 1:1-2; NASB). This had to be very emotional for Joshua. Moses was gone. No memorial service, burial service, time for grieving, or even knowledge of where he was buried. His emotions were probably raw, yet he would have to move fully into his new role immediately. “In three days you’re going into the land I promised Abraham centuries ago,” God said. That meant - not a pleasant journey into a new homeland - but a challenging move for an entire nation. And it meant war. Today, we glibly sing of going into “Canaan Land,” or the “Promised Land,” referring to the land in its symbolic meaning for us. For Israel, it was a physical inheritance; for us, it pictures our spiritual inheritance. We sing of crossing the Jordan or of the walls of Jericho falling down. This is easy and exciting for us; it was anything but, for them. Every step of the process was challenging and required great faith. God’s instructions to Joshua at this point would have been incredibly important, perhaps the most important of his life. What were they? Only the basics of our walk with God: don’t be afraid; trust Me; listen to Me carefully and obey; meditate on My words; I’ll be with you. Not theology, not battle plans, not travel formations, not how to get across the Jordan - not yet. First, keep the connection to Me strong. This will be your lifeline, Joshua. Do this and you’ll have great success. Have your devotions, then go to war! When you're about to go into battle, rush off to war, transition into something new, experience a great victory, move forward into God’s plan for your life…first go have your quiet time, your daily devotions. Then, advance. “In Touch and Live, George Vandeman writes: “A young stranger to the Alps was making his first climb accompanied by two stalwart guides. It was a steep, hazardous ascent but he felt secure with one guide ahead and one following. For hours they climbed. And now, breathless, they reached for those rocks protruding through the snow above them - the summit. “The guide ahead wished to let the stranger have the first glorious view of heaven and earth, and moved aside to let him go first. Forgetting the gales that would blow across those summit rocks, the young man leaped to his feet. But the chief guide quickly dragged him down. ‘On your knees, sir!’ he shouted. ‘You are never safe here except on your knees.’”(1) In this world where we are buffeted by the gale-force winds of sin, temptation, busyness, frenzy, and stress, we are never safe except when we are “on our knees,” spending quality time with our heavenly Father. This is especially true when we are cresting mountains. Joshua was reminded to make this connection daily, not just on that day. “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success,” (Joshua 1:8; NASB). Jesus said, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink,” (John 7:37). The two verbs “come” and “drink” are in the present imperative tense. This means it is a command - not just an invitation - and involves continuous or repeated action. Christ was commanding, “Keep coming to me and keep drinking!” So often we try to live on yesterday’s manna. Just as the Israelites, however, we must have “daily bread” and we must take a “daily drink.” This is what is meant by Ephesians 5:18, “be filled with the Spirit,” Once again, the tense is present imperative. God is commanding us to continually be filled with the Spirit. After speaking on this subject. Dwight Moody was asked why he needed to be filled and refilled with the Spirit. “That’s very simple,” said Mr. Moody. “I leak.” All of us do. That’s why we must drink continually in order to stay filled with the Spirit. I know life gets busy, but we can find a way. We will make the time to connect with God if it is a high enough priority. “Alvin Straight, age 73, lived in Laurens, Iowa. His brother, age 80, lived several hundred miles away in Blue River, Wisconsin. According to the Associated Press, Alvin’s brother had suffered a stroke and Alvin wanted to see him, but he had a transportation problem. He didn’t have a driver’s license because his eyesight was bad and he apparently had an aversion to taking a plane, train, or bus. “But Alvin didn’t let that stop him. In 1994, he climbed aboard his 1966 John Deere tractor lawnmower and drove it all the way to Blue River, Wisconsin. “Devotion finds a way.”(2) Pray with me: Father, thank You for being Abba - Papa God. We believe in Your heart toward us. We believe what we do with You is more important than what we do for You. We believe You want us first, not our works or service. Even our prayers should be born of our communion with You, not from our list of wants and needs. Keep us reminded of this. Remind us that we are never safe except on our knees. Remind us that before we go to war we must come to You. Remind us that every transition in life must be born of our walk with You. Remind us that we must drink from Your river daily. We know that Joshua was one of the great warriors and men of faith in Israel. He had a similar heart to Caleb’s. Yet, before You sent him to war You called himto Yourself. So, we will stay connected to You, and then we will war for our families and our nation. As we do this, we will be strong. We will ask in faith and command with authority and boldness. We do so now. We ask You to save our children, spouses, family members, and friends. We ask You to save America and other nations. We ask for a worldwide revival. We ask from Your presence and heart. And we know as we do this in Christ’s name, we will receive. Amen. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/march-24-2022 March 24, 2022 We are the Holy of Holies Yesterday I spoke about Holy Spirit wanting to insert us - our lives, prayers, and decrees - into the cursed places of the earth to bring healing to them. I would add, we can do the same to individuals. One of my friends, pastor and apostolic leader Dr. Scott Reece, sent me the following prophetic word, which is a perfect follow-up to that post. Scott says: ****************** “Early yesterday morning, March 23, I felt prompted by Holy Spirit to meditate on the Holy of Holies. “I’ve always been fascinated with the subject of the Holy of Holies. I’ve studied it, I’ve walked the tunnel under the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, stopping to pray where the Holy of Holies was most likely located. I’ve taught extensively on it. “I wondered why the Lord was once again bringing my focus to this Most Holy Place? When I awakened at 3:00AM, I sang the song, ‘Take Me In’ (to the Holy of Holies). I then heard Holy Spirit whisper, ‘You are the Holy of Holies!’ “If ever there was a place God was jealous over, it was the Holy of Holies. And if there’s any person He’s jealous over, it’s you (Zechariah 1)! “If there was any place guarded by God, it was the Holy of Holies. And if there is any person guarded by God, it is you (Psalm 121)! “The Holy of Holies contained the Ten Commandments, Aaron’s rod, and manna. Your spirit now carries the Word of the Covenant, the Authority of the Covenant, and the Provision of the Covenant! “Those items were all contained within the Ark of the Covenant, surrounded and guarded by angels. Your spirit is now that Ark of the Covenant where God Himself has chosen to abide (1 Corinthians 6:19). You, too, are surrounded and protected by angels (Hebrews 1:14). “Only the High Priest could access the Holy of Holies. Only your Great High Priest can access your spirit (1 John 2:27). Your life is not up for grabs, you are NOT easy prey for the enemy! The people KNEW the Holy of Holies was off-limits. The devil and his demons know that you are off-limits, but they lie to you to deceive and gain illegal entrance. The Holy of Holies could not even be touched, and the devil is not allowed to touch you (1 John 5:18)! “The blood was applied to the lid of the Ark of the Covenant, called the Mercy Seat, which contained the law of God, thereby redeeming the people from the curse of the law. The blood has been applied to you, redeeming YOU from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13). “The Presence of God manifested in many tangible ways to the people of God, but the Holy of Holies was the epicenter of His presence. You are now a carrier of God’s presence and of His anointing! Through your life, burdens are removed from people, and yokes are destroyed! You walk in the demonstration of the Spirit and power (Isaiah 10:27; 1 Corinthians 2:4). “The Word declares that You are the temple of Holy Spirit. God’s Spirit literally dwells in you, the Holy of Holies. Your life contains the very life, Spirit, and presence of God (1 Corinthians 6:9)! Out of your belly flows THE river of living water (John 7:38)! “You ARE the Holy of Holies…the Most Holy Place! “As I pondered this, the Word of the Lord came to me: “‘You have seen yourself small, insignificant, and unworthy. If only you could know the depth of your value! “‘In the midst of My people Israel I would come in visitation, into the Tabernacle and the Temple. But in you, I do not visit…I dwell. I have made you My holy habitation. “‘Out of my Most Holy Place came promise - the promise of my Word, authority, and provision. Out of your spirit, I am releasing the word of My covenant, the authority of My covenant, and the provision of My covenant. “‘I have set you in the midst of a world that is lost and without a shepherd. Out of you life, anointing, authority, and provision will flow to them. From your belly will come the very essence of who I am! Do not be surprised when people seek you out because of what you carry. They will seek you out in the natural realm, but they are looking for My supernatural realm. Be the supernatural! “‘Do not fear being a carrier of My anointing to the nations. Do not allow the enemy to minimize who you are or what you carry. “‘You ARE My Ark, you ARE My Most Holy Place! I have applied the blood of the Lamb upon the seat of your heart. “‘You are healed…healing flows from you. “‘You are healthy…health flows from you. “‘You are whole…wholeness flows from you. “‘You are anointed…anointing flows from you. “‘You are blessed…blessing flows from you. “‘You are free…freedom flows from you. “‘In a dark and troubled world, you are the epicenter of My presence, grace, love, and anointing. I am pouring you out with a priestly anointing that rises up to destroy the yokes and strongholds of a lost world. “‘Speak and decree the release today of that which is inside you. It is too precious to keep it locked inside the deep chamber of your spirit. It was never designed to be buried. Your heart was once a tomb where a dead man laid, but now it is a living Ark of My Presence, My life, and all that I am. “‘Open your mouth, stretch forth your hand, extend your life and watch the holy reveal that occurs. The Word, Authority, and Provision of My Covenant, contained in the Ark of who you are, will be released unto a wilderness people…says the Lord!’” *********************** What an amazing word this is! Receive it. Meditate over these words and believe them. They will feed your spirit and bring even more revelation. Let’s pray. Pray with me: Father, thank You for reminding us of who and what You have made us to be. Thank You for reminding us that we are Your Holy of Holies, habitations of the living God. We are carriers of Your very presence and power. May this revelation become stronger and stronger in the Ekklesia. And even now, tens of thousands of us come into agreement as we release Your words and power into the lost world You spoke of. We release Your life, Your healing, Your deliverance, and Your power - to break curses off of people and fill them with life, through the blood of Jesus. And we release this life to the nations. We release it into Europe, especially Ukraine and Russia, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, Africa, South America, North America, and the islands of the sea. We release Your life and presence into our government, our schools, and our homes. Invade the earth through the prayers and decrees of Your people even this very day! We pray and release these declarations in the name above every name, Jesus. I believe it has an important message for us: ***** “You (Dutch), Ken Malone, and Greg Hood were holding a meeting. Before the meeting started Ken and Greg told you it was time for you to “feed the river.” So the three of you walked down to the river. “You and Ceci walked away from them to sit by the river together. You guys were just relaxing and Ceci had her head on your shoulder enjoying the river. You guys seemed like it was the best day ever. “After a while, Ken and Greg said to you again that it was time to ‘feed the river.’ They brought you some buckets they had put things in with which to feed the river. You stepped into the river and began walking through the river; every once in a while you dropped a bucket into the water. You just kept walking, dropping buckets into the river, and you never ran out of buckets. “As you walked, you passed areas where camps were set up and people were fishing. When you walked by them they would shout, ‘Thanks, Dutch, for feeding the river. We are going to catch some big ones.’ “When you reached the stopping point, you stepped out and re-joined Ceci, Ken, and Greg. All of you walked back to the meeting location. When you arrived you said, ‘Now we can begin the meeting.’” ***** As I pondered the meaning of this dream, I kept wondering what I was “feeding” or putting into the river? Searching the Scriptures for items put into water or rivers I was reminded of 2 Kings 2:19-22. I believe there may be further revelation and instruction from this dream, but I am confident this is one of the revelations Holy Spirit wanted to bring me. The passage reads: “Then the men of the city said to Elisha, ‘Behold now, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad and the land is unfruitful.’ He said, ‘Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it.’ So they brought it to him. He went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said, ‘Thus says the Lord, “I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.” So the waters have been purified to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.” The location of this water was Jericho. Though it was not a river but a spring, I believe the meaning is still appropriate and pertains to this dream. Jericho was one of the places Elijah had established a school of the prophets. We are told that the land/area itself was pleasant, but it soon became apparent that the water was bad. It contained something that brought “death” to the land making it unfruitful. Another translation of unfruitful in the passage could be “barrenness.” “Most scholars believe this was the result of a curse Joshua had pronounced on Jericho in Joshua 6:26. ‘Then Joshua made them take an oath at that time, saying, “Cursed before the Lord is the man who rises up and builds this city Jericho; with the loss of his firstborn he shall lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he shall set up its gates.”’ This curse had actually been fulfilled in 1 Kings 16:34, in the life of a man named Hiel. And it was obviously still operating. What is interesting is that even though this water and city had been cursed because of sin and idolatry, God was still willing to lift the curse, heal the water and restore the land. This is indicative of the heart of God to redeem and restore. We know He takes no pleasure in the judgment of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11). And just as He has done for us through Christ, removing the curse of sin in order to give us the blessing of redemption, God‘s heart is always to restore (2 Peter 3:9). I believe wholeheartedly God is saying there are places in the earth that are currently under curses because of sin and idolatry, which He wants to cleanse, heal and redeem. And what did Elisha use to break the curse and heal the region? Salt - salt from a “new” vessel. Jesus said WE are the salt (Matthew 5:13). He has made us “new creations in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:17) and placed within us the purifying and preserving power symbolized by the salt. We, His people, have the power to heal. I believe God is saying we must “throw ourselves” into cursed cities and nations through prayer and curse-breaking decrees. He wants to send his forgiveness and healing to them, just as He did Jericho. He also did so in Nineveh. We must stop cursing ungodly cities or regions through our words, and begin releasing the redemptive power of God into them. “Feed the river” - heal the cursed waters of the earth. In Genesis 9:25 God said, “Cursed be Canaan.” Yet in the twelfth chapter of Genesis, God spoke of Canaan as the promised land of blessing to Abraham. This is a powerful picture of that which has been under a curse becoming blessed. We believers are also a picture of this. God, through the cross, has transformed us from being cursed to receiving blessing (Galatians 3:15). If you live in a city that has become known for its evil, violence, murder, etc., begin to “throw” words of life into it. Be the salt it needs. Speak words of healing. Let’s pray for them now. Pray with me: Father, You love to forgive, heal the oppressed and redeem the lost. You sent Your Son to us when we were still Your enemies. We thank You for Your heart to transform curses into blessings. Please forgive us for speaking curses over people and places. Forgive us for pronouncing destruction on them. Give us Your gracious heart to redeem. We speak life now into strongholds of idolatry and evil. We ask You to remove poison, barrenness, and curses. Heal the Ninevah’s of the earth, the Sodom‘s, the Jerichos. We feed the springs of water now with words of life: Be healed. Be transformed. (Think of your city) And we boldly agree with You and Your prophetic revelations regarding the earth at this time. U-turns are coming. What the enemy has planned will boomerang on him. America shall be saved. Revival is coming to the nations of the earth. A billion or more souls will come to Jesus. People will be set free, healed, and delivered by the blood of Jesus Christ. 4 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/march-22-2022 March 22, 2022 Pray for America’s Judges “Pray for all men with all forms of prayers and requests as you intercede with intense passion. And pray for every political leader and representative, so that we would be able to live tranquil, undisturbed lives, as we worship the awe-inspiring God with pure hearts. It is pleasing to our Savior-God to pray for them. He longs for everyone to embrace His life and return to the full knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4 TPT) When writing the New Testament, Paul makes it clear to us that we are to pray for our leaders, spiritual and governmental. There is no one who needs prayer more than the nine justices who have been appointed by our American Presidents to judge right from wrong and interpret the U.S. Constitution. There are other judges, besides those nine, who have been elected and appointed to these offices in each of our 50 states. They are there to listen, use the wisdom they have gained through study and interpretation of law, and make rulings. Many of these rulings affect each one of us. Therefore, it’s crucial that we pray for them, asking God to speak to and through them. This is what our good friend Quin Sherrer shares with us: “There are hundreds of good, honest men and women who serve in our nation as judges—people with integrity who make just decisions. We bless, applaud, and thank them. Sadly, some judges make dangerously wrong ones. “In 2 Chronicles we read about King Jehoshaphat who wanted good judges. When he returned safely to his house in Jerusalem after a battle, he set judges throughout all the fortified cities of Judah. City by city. “He told them, ‘Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for mere mortals but for the LORD, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. Now let the fear of the LORD be on you. Judge carefully, for with the LORD our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.’ (2 Chronicles 19: 6-7 NIV) “Judeo-Christian beliefs that our early settlers brought with them helped to form the foundation of our system of laws. Later in 1789, the U.S. Supreme Court was ‘ordained and established’ under Article III of the U.S. Constitution. There were six original justices. Today we have nine. “When there is a vacancy on the Supreme Court, a new justice is appointed by the U.S. President and confirmed by the Senate. He or she holds the office for life or retirement. “Today we have two court systems in the United States: (1) the Supreme Court and the lower federal courts, and (2) the state courts. Federal judges, who act on some of the most significant issues affecting the American people, have wide authority and discretion in the cases over which they preside. 1 “‘As the Supreme Court is the highest court in the land, all decisions and outcomes are final and a case that goes to the Supreme Court must first pass through several other courts… [It] has the power to investigate, question and overturn cases that were decided in lower courts. [It] can also judge the actions of federal, state, and local governments. If the Supreme Court feels that another area of government is acting unconstitutionally, they may investigate.’ 2 “At the Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C. you will see ‘Equal Justice Under Law’ written above the main entrance. Engraved in stone above the Chief Justice’s seat is a display of the Ten Commandments. When the Marshal announces the beginning of each court session, he ends his speech with, ‘God save the United States and this Honorable court.’ 3 “Thousands of judges across our nation need our prayers. When government agencies attempt to strip away our freedoms, even blatantly acting against our Constitution, we must cry out. And we pray that judges will make just decisions, not unjust ones. That righteousness—not evil—will prevail in our nation. “We must especially continue to pray for the Supreme Court justices whose final decisions affect so many of us—we, the people—and even the unborn.” One of our most conservative Supreme Court Justices serving us today is Justice Clarence Thomas. Justice Thomas is 73 and has served us since 1991 when he was appointed to the Court by President George H.W. Bush. This past Friday, Justice Thomas was admitted to a Washington hospital after experiencing flu-like symptoms. He does not have Covid, but was diagnosed with an infection and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics. He is responding to the treatment and hopefully will be discharged soon. 4 Today, let’s pray for Justice Thomas and the other judges who are in positions of leadership and authority. Pray with me: Thank You, Lord, that our Founders established three branches of government to ensure there would be a balance of powers. We pray for Supreme Court justices, and for the thousands of judges serving across America in federal, state, county, and municipal courts. May they not be swayed by prejudice, political opinion, or malicious outside influences. Lord, as our courts come into alignment with Your will, also cause needed changes to be established in all levels of our correctional system. We ask for the salvation of those on the bench who don’t know You, and for Sauls to be transformed to Pauls. Thank You for awakening believers to pray for these reforms to happen, and to vote accordingly. From referring to Christ as a lamb or His Word as a seed and sword, Holy Spirit frequently used the physical realm to picture spiritual truths. He still does so today and recently gave my brother, Tim, an interesting word regarding boomerangs and highways. I believe you will be encouraged by the following word. ****************** “We are in days of shaking and change. Hebrews 12 tells us that everything which can be shaken will be shaken. It also says we are part of a Kingdom that cannot be shaken. The shaking will set believers free to be the true New Testament church - an Ekklesia that rules and reigns with our King. “Holy Spirit gave me a dream a couple of weeks ago in which I saw a large division of angels. The angels were wearing breastplates and helmets made of silver. Throughout scripture, silver represents redemption, truth, and the purchasing of a slave’s freedom. In the book of Leviticus, a slave’s freedom was purchased with silver; the price for males was fifty shekels and for women, thirty. Interestingly, this sheds light on why Jesus was sold for thirty pieces of silver. He wasn’t redeeming Himself; He was redeeming His bride. I knew this dream was about truth, freedom, and redemption. “In this dream, the angels were throwing something towards certain nations, cities and regions. They were also doing so toward what appeared to be power stations with electric grids and gas, and power plants. I knew these places represented evil - there was a gray shadow surrounding them as if they were in a dark cloud. The angels were throwing something at these places, causing freedom to be experienced and truth to be revealed. In the dream I was trying to see what was being thrown, but could never see it. I awakened not knowing what the angels had been throwing. “Upon awakening I began to pray in the Spirit and ask for revelation. Holy Spirit’s response was, ‘They were throwing boomerangs. You are moving into days of things boomeranging back on My enemies.’ A prophetic word was then downloaded to me by Holy Spirit. “The Lord says, ‘A Boomerang effect is being caused by My angels upon strategies of darkness, just as My Ekklesia has asked. Evil plots, plans, and schemes of dark government will boomerang back on My enemies. Efforts that were meant to destroy My plans will boomerang on those opposing Me. Plans of destruction will come back upon them. And the King’s redemption shall be seen. “The Lord of Hosts decrees that in these days angels, in alignment with declarations of the King’s Ekklesia, are activating these boomerang strategies upon goat nations, cities and governments. Divine reversals are now being released. Release the angels with your decrees, says the Lord. There will be reversals of powers, influence and authority. Arrogant leaders anointed by hell will experience My supernatural reversals of their plans. Dictators anointed by hell will see their empires reversed. Billionaires anointed by hell to finance iniquity will experience humiliating reversals of their wealth. Their evil, the Lord says, will boomerang on them. “Those who initiated systems of evil to oppose Me will experience this boomerang. A boomeranging effect is proclaimed by Me upon media propaganda systems. Their reversal is planned and in process, says the Lord. A boomeranging is declared against humanistic education systems, lawless ideologies, and their underground systems. I see their plans clearly and a reversal is planned. My angels are deployed to defeat them. Release My angels with your decrees. “You will see visible, public displays of undeniable reversals. My heirs will rejoice, as what was meant to harm them turns for good. I can, I have and I will stand for them. I can, I have, I will cause My Ekklesia to prevail. I can, I have, I will anoint history makers. I can, I have, I will anoint new leaders. I can, I have, I will change history. I can, I have, I will pour out My Spirit and shake hell. Reversals are now being released and hell will not stop this.’ “There is much that needs to change in our nation and God keeps promising that He is going to change it. As I pondered this, Holy Spirit reminded me of another vision I received a while back, which I believe is connecting to its divine moment; it also confirms this dream. In this vision, I was traveling an interstate highway named The American Way. I had the sense that it was a well known, well-traveled highway. This highway led to Washington D.C., but did not continue through it, ending outside the city at a bypass which encircled it. The American Way highway ended at and connected to this bypass. I then noticed big green signs common to all interstates; all of them read the same: ‘U-turn This Exit.’ This interstate highway was obviously built to include many u-turn possibilities. “I then heard Holy Spirit say, ‘U-turns have been planned and are coming to the American way. New routes to destinations will now appear, rerouting people through “freedom states.” My highways will be followed to places of reset. My Kingdom government is entering certain states, influencing and reconnecting them to covenants. The covenant resets now entering these freedom states will cause u-turns in the national government.’ “As I contemplated and prayed about this vision, the Lord said, ‘U-turns are occuring and freedom states will produce change in D.C. I am shaking in order to bring change and reset covenants. Government and policies on Capitol Hill will turn; leaders will flip to My ways. I will turn some of their hearts as I did Saul of Tarsus. Yes, there are some “Sauls” in D.C. and in state capitals; they will become “Pauls.” U-turns are coming to systematic deep state corruption; leaders in their ranks will flip and stand against illegal shadow government. U-turns are coming to the education system. Systematic indoctrinations of evil will be shaken and destroyed. You will see u-turns at the Supreme Court. U-turns will come to long-standing laws that oppose Mine and, yes, a Saul will become a Paul at the Supreme Court. “The American Way will turn. Exit ramps of turnaround are in place. I am providing ways to turn around, just as My heirs have requested. This will cause turnarounds in other nations also, as covenant roots reconnect. The time has come, My plan is accelerating. U-turns have now begun; stand for their completion.’” ************************ Pray with me: Lord, we pray for this vision to come to pass. Let this highway of freedom and turnaround begin to roll through the states and surround Washington, D.C. “Bypass” the arrogant and those with evil agendas. “Bypass” those who choose not to go Your way. Through “freedom states,” activate Your plan. May it be activated throughout our nation. Give us u-turns on “the American way.” Shake everything that needs to be shaken. Accelerate the dreams, visions and plans You have provided for us. We pray that visible u-turns would be seen throughout the world. Turn Sauls into Pauls. We pray that activities will be changed by Your power. We come into agreement with heaven. We declare reversal to battle schemes coming back on the schemers. Overturn evil governments and demonized dictators. Release angels to throw the boomerangs. May they be thrown at cities, governments, and nations. Cause rebellious individuals to turn and reverse into alignment with Your will. Reverse evil plans, plots and schemes, in Jesus’ Name, Amen. Our decree: Reversals are now being released.
