They encourage our faith and glorify our Lord. The following story not only pictures the protective hand of God released through watchman prayer, but also reveals His providential hand working - even when we are unaware. Sometimes our activities or schedules are interrupted by circumstances, other people, or even demonic entities. However, at times it can be Holy Spirit, working for His purposes and our good. As watchmen, we must check in with Him before assuming changes are bad. This is the story of Francis Barton and was written by his daughter, Linda Henson. The account has been added to the Archives of the WWII 292nd Engineers. And Linda begins: ******* “In 1943, my father had the best job he’d ever had. One day the dreaded draft notice arrived. Many of his family and friends encouraged him to go to the courthouse and claim exemption due to working in a munitions plant and having two small children. His answer was, ‘If the man who went in my place was killed, I couldn’t live with myself.’ So, off he went to thirteen weeks of training that turned gentle family men into warriors. “Following training, he was sent to New York, where he boarded a ship to be a part of the World War II military force. On the ship, all the recruits were assembled, and the Commander asked if anyone had any experience cutting hair. No one volunteered. Dad seemed to be the only one who responded. His only experience consisted of trimming his brother’s and father’s hair on Saturday nights so they could go to church, but that was of little consequence. He was assigned the task of being the company barber for the duration of his military service. And, of course, the barbering was done after all other training and chores were completed. Dad says he enjoyed the extra job; it helped to keep his mind off of the loneliness and the horrors of war and gave him extra funds to send home to his family. “Dad was an engineer. Engineers built the roads and bridges so that the troops could travel. “Just after the famed “Battle of the Bulge,” his 292nd Engineers were given the task of building a bridge across the river which would open the way for the Allies’ invasion troops into Berlin. The Germans knew of the planned attack and gathered all the artillery they could muster, lined the river with big guns, and flooded the river. “Dad’s company approached the river and found it flooded, so they set up camp several miles away from the river, where they rehearsed their plan, prepared their equipment, and....waited ....and waited for the waters to recede. At any moment, the command would come, and they would have to rush to do their job. To say the atmosphere was tense would be an understatement. While they waited, the officers daily reminded the men to write letters home to their families because most of them would not come back from this assignment. It was not unusual to see a man wiping tears as he wrote his letter to his family, and some were praying with Chaplains. “On the first Christmas of my parents’ marriage, there was not much money, so they decided that they would buy a Bible, and that would be their gift to each other. This is the kind of man who was facing death alongside so many others. “One night, after all the military duties were finished, he set up his barber shop and began to cut hair. It almost seemed ludicrous that so many men wanted their hair cut when any day could be their last, but maybe it seemed a hopeful thing to do. At any rate, it felt like everyone in the company needed a haircut; he thought the line would never end. The last man raised up out of the chair around 3:00 A.M. Dad was so tired he just fell into his cot. “Around 6:00 A.M., he awoke with a start! Somehow he felt something was wrong. Immediately he was on his feet. As he looked around, he saw that no one else was in the tent. He ran to the next tent. NO ONE. The next. NO ONE. What had happened? Cooks never leave camp, so he ran to the mess tent. ‘Where is everybody? What’s happened?’ The cooks said that the call had come for the engineers to build the bridge. “‘Why didn’t someone wake me” he asked in total desperation. “‘The colonel said you worked all night; let you sleep.’ “Now, it’s unheard of for an officer in the armed forces to have mercy and let a soldier sleep when such an important job has to be done. But that’s what happened. My father was beside himself. Men might die in his place! They were too far away, he’d never catch them in time. “He did the only thing that he knew to do. He ran back to his tent and fell on his knees. He prayed through the first hour. He prayed through the second hour. He prayed all afternoon. He never got up. He could hear the shells bursting miles away and feel the earth tremors as bombs dropped. His mind conjured up images of his friends being slaughtered. He kept on praying. Finally, he heard sounds of the returning army. “He was so stiff from being on his knees he could hardly walk, but he began to trudge down the trail that they had made as they left. Who would be missing? Terrors invaded his mind as he limped toward the advancing men. He could see the trucks in the distance and hear shouts but couldn’t make out what they were saying. Were they angry that he was left asleep? “Tears filled his eyes at the thought of trucks loaded with the dead. The closer he got, he heard more shouting, and still, he couldn’t make out what they were saying. He prepared himself for the looks of disappointment from his friends. “Finally, he came into hearing distance and stopped dead in his tracks, for the words they were shouting were, ‘NOT ONE WAS LOST! NOT ONE WAS LOST.’ “Just a few miles up the river, two other companies had been given the same assignment, and they were cut to shreds. Many families of those men received the letters that had been written. “Heroes come in many forms. I believe my Dad saved the lives of those men that day. “Note: One of Dad’s buddies had kept a diary every day of the war even though it was not allowed. Just before my father died, the children of his army buddy put the diary on the computer and sent it to us. We quickly turned to the date of this event. There, he told the same story of how Barton was left sleeping because he had worked all night. He ended by saying, ‘The Man Upstairs must have been watching out for us because we all came back.’” (1) Pray with me: Father, thank You for encouraging us with this incredible testimony. Your sovereign hand is working at times when we are completely unaware of it. Teach us to listen, to be alert for divine occurrences and setups. Far too often it takes a burning bush to get us to turn aside and listen. Usually, You speak through the still small voice. We pledge to listen more carefully for Your alerts. You told us to watch/be on the alert for one another (Ephesians 6.18). As we listen to You, we’ll save lives, thwart attacks of the enemy and seize opportunities. You have told us we are in a critical month for our nation. Several have gone to DC to pray, others to their state and city government headquarters. We agree now for Your breakthroughs to occur. Batter through demonic strongholds and barriers. We declare that Baal’s strong hold on America is broken, in the name of Jesus. The national covenant with death has been reversed, he may no longer rule our nation. We declare also that his regional entrenchments are uprooted, freeing entire cities and states. And we now ask for Holy Spirit to be poured out. It is obvious that just as the prophets have spoken, this month of July is incredibly significant. God is doing much. I have heard of at least four major prayer journeys to DC and elsewhere over the weekend, which Holy Spirit led others to do independently from one another. Some have sent us pictures from their prayer assignments. This is all so obviously orchestrated by Holy Spirit, which makes it incredibly encouraging. We must continue to persevere. After my assignment in Washington, DC, on Thursday of last week, I went to Boston to be with my friends, Jon and Jolene Hamil, at Faneuil Hall. This gathering, like DC, was very powerful and timely. Faneuil Hall is referred to as the “Cradle of Liberty.” It was there where founder Samuel Adams and others met to give impassioned speeches, appealing to New Englanders to fight for liberty. The building reeks of history; when there, I can feel it oozing from the floors and walls. Without question, in the 1700s, the world was changed from Faneuil Hall. In our era, God has led many back to this important place in order to tap into the synergy of the ages and re-stake claim to our nation. I have spoken there four times in the last dozen or so years. Preaching with pictures and busts of Sam Adams, Patrick Henry, George Washington, and other patriots staring at you is daunting and humbling, to say the least. Last night for a couple of hours, I watched a TV series regarding the American Revolution. It was very moving. Thousands of patriots paid a horrible price for the freedom we enjoy and to further the God-given destiny of our nation. We must never let this be stolen. I cried as I heard a phrase from Emerson’s poem, Concord Hymn. The poem is considered a classic, but the phrase that overwhelmed me speaks of the “Spirit, that made those heroes dare to die, and leave their children free.” (1) Those heroes indeed possessed incredible hearts and spirits, and they gave everything - including their very lives - to purchase the freedoms we enjoy. Yet, the price they paid forever changed the world. Their ranks consisted not only of fully grown men, but also young teenage boys and girls, women, and, yes, freed slaves. Whether it be teenager Sybil Ludington’s 40-mile midnight ride to help gather militiamen for a battle in Danbury, Connecticut, or Betty Zane’s heroic dash to retrieve gunpowder for the fighting men around her, there were many heroes. Nancy Hart is another example. “Standing six feet tall, the red-headed and muscular Hart made an imposing figure for those who dared to cross her. Her fearlessness prompted Cherokee neighbors to call her ‘Wahatche,’ which meant ‘war woman.’ This nickname would prove appropriate as the Revolution moved into the Georgia backcountry, and Hart became a staunch defender of the Patriot cause… “As the Revolution moved into the Southern colonies, Nancy played an important role fighting against Tories in the Georgia backcountry. Hart succeeded in outsmarting British opponents on multiple occasions, frequently disguising herself as a ‘crazy man’ and wandering through British camps to procure information for the Patriots. When one of Hart’s children discovered a British soldier spying on the Hart home, Nancy doused the man with boiling water that she was using to make soap before tying him up and turning him over to Patriot forces… “Though Hart gained recognition after the war for a variety of exploits, one of the most popular stories involved her capture of several British soldiers. According to local legend, six British soldiers entered the Hart home to question Nancy about assisting a Patriot in escaping from the Redcoats. The soldiers then demanded that Nancy feed them, and displaying unusual hospitality, Nancy agreed to host them, providing a fair share of food and drink. With help from her 12-year-old daughter, Sukey, Hart succeeded in discreetly removing several of the soldiers’ muskets from the stack they had formed in the corner of the room. Hart had passed two of the firearms to Sukey through a gap in the wall before the soldiers noticed. Hart instructed the soldiers to remain where they were, and when one of them rose to approach her, she shot him dead and wounded one of the others before taking the remaining four men hostage. Sukey ran to inform Benjamin [her husband], who returned to the cabin. After debating whether to shoot the remaining men or hang them, the Harts and their neighbors decided to hang the soldiers from a nearby tree. The story became a local legend after the war, and variations of the tale have continued to circulate since then. In 1912, a railroad company’s archaeological excavation of the land near Hart’s cabin unearthed six skeletons, suggesting that some version of [the story] was true.” (2) I encourage you to pick up freedom’s baton; it has been handed to our generation, but we must each do our part. Though our weapons are spiritual, not physical - and the battle is, as well - it is no less real and important. If you see the spiritual war for America’s future as only about money, possessions, and physical well-being, you are missing heaven’s point of view. This spiritual battle is regarding the eternities of hundreds of millions of people around the world. America was raised up to take the gospel of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. That…is what we must contend for. I encourage you again, as I did in Monday’s post, to move out from the prayer closet occasionally, and do some onsite praying. Ask Holy Spirit to show you, your prayer group, or even your congregation where He needs you to pray. It may be your neighborhood, a school (after hours), your city or state government headquarters, a historic site, or perhaps a trip to DC. Be wise, obey laws and respect other people, but consider doing this. I’ve been on some prayer journeys that have changed my life! And one other thing: Pastors, I urge you never to let a service take place where prayer for government, your city, and the coming revival does not take place. Real prayer! - not just a perfunctory mention. Take some time and pray! Ask a trusted leader or two, or perhaps some kids to lead in prayer for a couple of minutes. Doing this regularly will help you build your church into a house of prayer, as Jesus declared it to be (Matthew 21:13). I also challenge pastors and leaders to pray over the children before this new school year begins. It’s important that we are diligent in keeping them covered with prayer, and also teach them about the armor of God, placing it around them each day (Ephesians 6:10-18). Let’s all do our part to continue the prayer siege in America. We are winning…because appealing to heaven still works! Pray with me: Father, thank You for the awakening that has occurred in the Ekklesia. Incredible amounts of revelation have been poured out on us over the past 40-50 years. “Yet, still our ancient foe, doth seek to work us woe; his craft and power are great, and armed with cruel hate” [taken from A Mighty Fortress (3)]. He works consistently to counteract us. But we declare that he will lose. We ask You for a heightened level of alertness and discernment for Your church. We are grateful for increases of prophetic revelation - dreams, visions, prophecies, and Spirit-led direction for our prayers. But we ask for more…from glory to glory, faith to faith, and strength to strength. You overcame satan; as Your body, we will enforce Your victory. Send Your people out into their world to release Your Kingdom authority. We continue to ask for the release of Your battering rams into the spirit of Baal’s defenses in Washington, DC, especially at the White House. We ask for warring angels to implement these battering rams. You have exposed Baal, now you are expelling him. We declare by faith that we will have a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led person in the Oval Office, one who openly welcomes You in on a daily basis. Give us anointed worship and 24-hour prayer in the White House. Take over, Lord! We boldly ask for these things in Christ’s name. Some would have us believe He is finished moving on the earth, that the end of His activity on earth is here. This is not true. My brother, Tim, preached a powerful message recently declaring over and over a word from the Lord: “I’m not finished!” You can hear the entire message by using the link we have provided. Here is a portion of that message. ************ “The Apostle James was the brother of Jesus. He was the lead apostle of the first Ekklesia during the church’s first spiritual war season. James led the church through Herod’s government tyranny. He was a steady voice to all the other apostles throughout the book of Acts. James also led the Ekklesia in its first great revival, a move of God that changed the world. “In the Book of the Bible that bears his name, James made a statement that gives us a vital key to the success of the church then and now. Holy Spirit has said we’ve entered a season of spiritual war that will be very fierce, all the way through the midterm elections. The Ekklesia must engage in this by presenting themselves before the Lord in prayer, decrees and worship warfare. “James 5:16 (NKJV) says, ‘The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.’ He is very clear and succinct. In order to avail much, there must be increased prayer. To win spiritual battles there has to be an engagement in prayer. In the Amplified Translation, Classic Edition, a portion of this verse says: [Prayer] ‘makes tremendous power available and is dynamic in its working.’ The Message Bible says the prayer of a person right with God because of the blood of Jesus is ‘something powerful to be reckoned with.’ To see victorious results in this war season, we must pray with a force that hell will have to reckon with. “When the church prays, God promises He will engage with us. His entire Kingdom, including angel armies, will do so, releasing tremendous power. This is a power that binds hell’s princes and stops government tyranny, a power that raises people to seats of authority while removing others. Psalm 75:7 says, ‘He takes power from one and will give it to another.’ This is a part of what this war season is about - God taking power from those who have mocked and opposed Him. When the church prays, seats of power and authority change. God intends to give governing authority to those who will rule justly. Part of this war season also includes unseating demonic powers in the spiritual realm. As this occurs, the governmental landscapes will change. God has spoken prophetically that He is now going to hasten His word to perform it. We will see the dreams of our hearts - for ourselves, family and nation - come to pass. “Saint Augustine said, ‘Without God, we cannot. Without us, God cannot.’(1) We are in a special season in which we must partner with the living God through prayer. “Much is being said in today’s world that opposes God and His ways. In light of these current situations, it is vital that we hear from Him. I have been crying out to Holy Spirit, ‘Tell me what You’re saying!’ In response, a word the Lord gave me several years ago began rising up in me. The words burned like fire inside of me. I knew the Lord was declaring them into this current season of spiritual war. I believe this word is going to resound through Washington, DC, rattling the demonic babbling of his enemies. Settled law isn’t settled when God says otherwise. Here is what I heard Him say: “‘I said “It is finished,” not “I am finished.” I am NOT finished. I completed redemption for sins on the Cross, but I am not finished building My church. Its relevance will surely be seen, shutting the mouths of the naysayers. My church will be glorious, without spot or wrinkle, reigning in My Name. It will not be intimidated, scared, confused, bewildered, tepid or spineless. I have much to finish and I WILL finish it. “‘I’ve saved the best wine for your times, and I will now finish the release of outpouring. My power and anointing will be revealed in My manifest presence. The world will see My true power manifesting through My triumphant remnant. My glory will become demonstrably real in your times, from glory to glory to glory, just as I said. “‘I’m not finished! I’m not finished healing blind eyes, opening deaf ears, restoring damaged limbs, reaping the harvest, saving the lost, setting the oppressed free and delivering captives. I’m not finished saving Muslims and Hindus, penetrating the nations with My gospel, and delivering adulterers, alcoholics, and those addicted to drugs. I’m not finished healing those with gender confusion. And I’m not finished with abortion. I’m far from finished. “‘I’m not finished with America, with aligning the nations, and establishing My Kingdom on this earth…which means you’re not finished. My church, My Ekklesia, is not finished binding hell’s plans, standing for My Word and confronting demon doctrines, rebel governments, kings, dictators, presidents, judges and evil dignitaries that mock Me. My reigning church is not finished prevailing over the gates of hell. It’s not finished preaching the word of truth and prevailing over principalities, powers, mights and dominions. It’s not finished being salt and light, lighting up darkness, reversing evil laws, treading on demons, preaching hope and deliverance to captives, reaping My harvest of lost individuals, and discipling nations. “‘The activities of My church don’t stop when governments, presidents, governors, the Supreme Court, the IRS, media, professors or hireling shepherds say they must stop. They stop when I say they stop. And I say to My church, “You’re not done.” “‘You’re not finished and I’m not finished! Occupy until I come. Take care of My Kingdom business until I say you’re finished. Overcoming church, you are My reigning ones, called to these times. Rise in authority, rise in My power and rule in the midst of your enemies. Yes, redemption is finished, but I’m not finished. Salvation is finished, but you’re not finished. Focus on what I say and let that settle the issue.’” Tim then says, “In this war season, it is imperative to stay focused on what God says. We have to know what Holy Spirit is saying to the church, rather than focusing on what we see occurring around us. God’s Word WILL prevail and dynamic power WILL be activated as we pray what He says. “We must release what James called a force to be reckoned with. There must be a realization and determination in the Ekklesia that God isn’t finished. He will accomplish what He has said, and we are going to faithfully and determinedly pray it through.” Pray with me: Lord, let the voice of Your Ekklesia be clear and strong. Give us insight, strategy and wisdom to declare into this moment. Continue inspiring us to partner with You. The battle for America is not over! You are about to give us great victories. You are going to unseat demonic powers; they will not rule our nation. You are about to answer long-standing prayers and fulfill prophetic words. You are about to open the windows of heaven, releasing power to change things in ways we have never seen before. Holy Spirit, inspire our hearts to be engaged with You. We are warriors declaring Your truths and promises. We ask and declare these things in Jesus’ Name, amen. Our decree: God is not finished with the Ekklesia. If you’re watching, you can tell we are not in the studio - I am in Washington, DC, with a couple of friends, Dr. Greg Hood and Pastor Randy Lopshire. You have heard of both them from previous posts, and we are here on a prayer assignment. We didn’t know if we would do this today - try to share a post from here - but decided it would be beneficial to do so. We didn’t bring a video/sound crew with us, but we will casually pass the microphone around and talk about what the Lord was saying to us, encouraging you. We can’t do the posts live because we have to transcribe them. We have thousands who just read them instead of watching - that’s why we don’t do live programs. But today, we want to talk with you about what we experienced here yesterday (July 21) as we prayed outside the White House and on the Mall. I had received a prophetic word/assignment from my friend Chuck Pierce, who said he felt that the month of July was extremely important. And then the Lord gave my brother, Tim Sheets, a dream where he was standing outside the White House on July 4, decreeing. I asked Chuck if he had anything prophetically he wanted to pass on to me for the month of July, and he said - “You need to go, you need to go to DC - I see you standing on the Washington Mall - I see a wind coming and I hear you decreeing the portal that has been opened to evil is now being closed.” I never do this type of thing by myself; I always bring people with me to help with the assignments, so we came here yesterday to do that. I will just say that when we come, Holy Spirit is very faithful to speak to us, to lead us in our decrees. And just as Chuck said, as we arrived at the mall, the winds kicked up - it blew so hard that it blew a sign over next to where we were standing - we just looked at each other and said “here we are!” It was a confirmation to me that we were hearing and doing the right thing. We felt so led by the Lord regarding this assignment and our prayers, especially at the White House. I’m going to hand the mic off to these guys so they can encourage you - we don’t want to just talk about what we felt/sensed from the Lord. We do this privately - no one really knows what we’re doing on these prayer journeys - we are discreet about what we pray and aren’t going to go into a lot of detail, but want to encourage you to do this in your capital city, your state, your city hall, schools - on-site praying. Greg - share what is on your heart. “Dutch, I feel prayer assignments are important, to have boots on the ground. I’ve had people ask me - why do you have to go to this place or that - why don’t you just pray from home? There are a couple of things that I feel are important. In the realm of the supernatural, when you pray at a location, you are encountering angels at that particular place that are territorial - you're able to see and hear things that you cannot see or hear from home. We saw angels yesterday and were reminded of dreams and visions that were very important. Also, God shows up where He tells you to go. The point of you meeting God in that place is very important. There is a divine appointment there, and I think we are seeing that a lot as we go pray at different places. I personally know it’s easier to hear prophetically when we are on these assignments. I hear the Lord say - ‘Keep watching, and He will show you activity of the spirit that is going on there and address it easier on site.’ God is there all the time, but the enemy is not. I feel that today, people are challenged to go to and pray at a location, and not just from home. As people are watching this, God is going to stir their hearts to go and pray in different locations - go pray and agree where He is telling you to go.” [Dutch asks] Randy - what do you think? “I agree with Greg, you have to get in the environment, on the ground, and feel the atmosphere in order to connect for that moment. It was amazing yesterday and an honor to pray there with you guys. I had an overwhelming sense of victory - we have a taste of victory in our mouth right now at least on some levels, the enemy is set back on his heels and off balance. I heard Holy Spirit speak this morning that the scales have been tipped against him - it’s time to keep the pressure on [through prayer] so that he will completely topple. He’s tipped, and it’s time for Him to topple. I felt one of the reasons God sent us here was to apply the pressure that the Lord wanted to apply. “I felt excitement regarding the ground we have gained after a long season of grinding that out [referring to the reversal of Roe vs Wade]. But this is not time to let up, it’s not time to stop or rest on our laurels, but continue on - there is work to do through prayer. I also felt that yesterday, we released an energy from God into this place and as we did so, we represented the rest of the Ekklesia - and accomplished this through our prayers and decrees.” Pastor Randy continues: “Dutch, as I prayed this morning, I heard the word “reserves.” I think that God, the great commander and Lord of hosts, is calling in the reserves - the fresh reserves. Some on the front lines are winded, not weary, but winded. Army reserves are ordinary citizens who have military training and are ready at any given point to be called forward to serve, even into the battle. Some years ago Chuck referred to the Triumphant Reserve. I feel in my spirit that everybody needs to be ready because these assignments are going to spread to others. He is raising up these prayer assignments - the reserves across this whole country. I am believing that people will be sensitive to Holy Spirit and not let it be a passing thought, but realize that perhaps, the Spirit is asking them to get in their car and go to where God leads them, praying the words He gives - taking them on prayer assignments.” (Dutch shares) That’s very good. I feel that I should prepare something that will give people insights, guidelines, etc., for prayer journeys - everything from the practical details, to the spiritual side of it - that would probably be helpful. There are things you do and don’t do when God asks you to pray at a location - we will work on getting that done very soon to help everyone out. Greg shares again, “As Randy was speaking, I was seeing an activation of Give Him 15 people all around the world - that reserve being activated for an “invasion” (spiritual speaking) of taking back what belongs to the kingdom of God - to occupy the territory that the enemy took, but doesn’t belong to him. As you talked about those guidelines, Dutch, I felt this could be helpful to people all over the world. The time and season are so right for us to shift things back into the kingdom of light. I saw this - a major onslaught of those reserves - a spiritual D-day at hand without the casualties. I want to encourage people today to prepare themselves for these prayer assignments. They will build your faith, stir up your gifts, and will enable you to work with others in the body of Christ. Get ready - that is the word of the Lord today.” (Dutch finishes up) That’s outstanding. We are going to pray now - thank you for your patience with this going a little longer than a usual GH15, but let’s pray and sum this up. Pray with us: Lord, I felt Your wind as we shared. It’s amazing how You do these things, Lord, but I believe there is a commissioning taking place right now to this Triumphant Reserve - that people will grab the baton and do some prayer journeys, going to their capital, doing these prayer walks/assignments. Lord, their prayers, and the prayers of those agreeing with us today, are as important and vital as anyone else’s. So we commission this praying army to be boots on the ground now - go to the place where God tells you to go and put your feet there knowing that every place where the sole of your foot treads, He is giving it to you. We are sending you now with the apostolic authority of the Lord Jesus Christ - we send you forth on these prayer assignments and say you will accomplish everything that God wants to do through you, in Jesus' name. (Greg prays) “And Father, we thank You today that there is a great stirring and releasing of their spiritual gifts, and they will see signs and wonders. I believe they will have dreams before they go - You will release to them things in the supernatural they have not seen before. You’re bringing your Ekklesia to another depth of walking in synch and partnership with heaven. I think there is an alignment between the spiritual and natural there hasn’t been before - we pray for dreams and visions to be activated in order to reap a harvest of souls and take back the land. Lord, You have so passionately said, ‘I will have this nation.’ You have said You need this nation. As this Triumphant Reserve is activated, we say, America shall be saved!” (Randy prays) “Lord, we call forth those individuals who hear and are getting ready to respond, reminding them that every prophetic word was for this moment of activation - make it real to them again, Lord - connect them with people and intercessors who can help them - speak into their lives. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-22-2022 July 22, 2022 The Partnership This week I have been sharing some of the benefits Holy Spirit wants to provide us. Jesus told His disciples it was to their advantage that He leave them (John 16:7). What a shocking statement! Why would He make such a seemingly preposterous statement? Because when He arrived back in Heaven, the Father would send Holy Spirit to them. As a spirit without a physical body, Holy Spirit could be everywhere at once. AND He could be in them, not just with them. Not since Genesis had mankind been the dwelling place of God’s Breath/Spirit. We had lost that privilege. Jesus came to restore it. Though the disciples certainly did not understand Christ’s words when He spoke them in John 16:7, they did when Holy Spirit eventually arrived and breathed Himself into them (Acts 2). They were transformed, filled with power from heaven, filled with God! Jesus called Holy Spirit our Helper. As such, He wants to play an active role in our lives, helping us represent Christ on earth. We will certainly never fulfill the role of intercessory watchmen without His assistance. In 2 Corinthians 13:14, another verse we’ve been looking at, Paul said, “May the koinonia of the Holy Spirit be with you.” As we have seen, koinonia has various meanings. Let’s analyze a few more today. Koinonia Means Distribution and Impartation Holy Spirit desires to distribute/impart to us everything we need to function successfully in life, and this certainly includes prayer. Placing these two definitions into the verse, 2 Corinthians 13:14, is saying, “May Holy Spirit impart to you;” “May He distribute to you,” of His vast resources and gifts. I love it when Holy Spirit distributes revelation to me as I study His Word. I then take great joy in distributing it to others. I find it very fulfilling when, through the power of Holy Spirit, I am used to impart a spiritual gift, or perhaps power for healing, to another person. Paul spoke of this in Romans 1:11: “For I long to see you in order that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established.” He also told us Timothy was given spiritual gifts through Holy Spirit impartation as leaders laid their hands on him (see 1 Timothy 4:14 and 2 Timothy 1:6). Moses imparted to Joshua a spirit of wisdom (see Deuteronomy 34:9). A human being would have no ability to impart a spiritual gift if not by the power of Holy Spirit. Does this still occur today? Of course. Holy Spirit wants to give gifts, insights, abilities, and more TO us, and He wants also to distribute them THROUGH us. Receive from Him! Listen to Him! Then, give Him to others. Peter said to the lame man in Acts 3:6, “I don’t have any money for you, but I do have something else: the power of Holy Spirit. And in Christ’s name I give it to you now!” (Dutch’s paraphrase). At times, the information Holy Spirit distributes to us are alerts and warnings enabling us to function as watchmen. Our friend, Quin Sherrer, gives the following example: “I was rooming with Ruthie at a Christian conference when she told me how God had protected her property. One night during the church service, she heard a voice: ‘Your house is being robbed.’ She tried to dismiss the thought. She’d lived in that house for thirty years, and there had been no burglaries in her neighborhood. But the more she thought about it, the more it seemed to her that the inner voice she had heard was Holy Spirit warning her. “‘Lord, if our house is being robbed, please send an angel - no, Lord, send a warring angel - to frighten the burglar off.’ Then she began to quote Scriptures, praying for protection: ‘No evil will come near our dwelling place…No weapon formed against us shall prosper…’ “Sure enough, when she and her husband arrived home, their back patio door was smashed in, and everything inside was in disarray - drawers open and stuff scattered everywhere. The next day, when the police officer came to get a list of the things missing, all they had to report was one pillowcase. He told them that’s what a burglar usually takes to stash the valuables. ‘As far as we can tell, nothing is missing - not even my good gold jewelry,’ Ruthie told him. “He looked around at her china, silver, and gold vases. ‘With all these beautiful things, I don’t understand why you weren’t robbed blind. Something obviously frightened away the intruder. He left in a hurry,’ the policeman said. “Two other houses in her neighborhood were robbed that night. Ruthie is sure God sent a warring angel of protection, just as she had prayed and asked Him to do.”(1) What a great example of Holy Spirit sharing information in order that watchman intercession can take place. Partake of Holy Spirit’s love and communion, yes. But also, draw on His supernatural ability to protect that which belongs to you. Koinonia Means Companionship and Partnership The last meanings of koinonia I want to share are companionship and partnership. (We referenced partnership yesterday, but we will take another look today.) What an incredible thought. Paul said, “Let Holy Spirit be your companion and partner. Walk with Him. Commune with Him. Partner with Him.” Partnering with another person in an endeavor is far different than simply working for them. Jesus said we are seated with Him at the Father’s right hand. (Ephesians 2:6) This speaks of union, togetherness, oneness and authority. Christ wants a partnership with us. I realize He is the Senior Partner, the Head, but He has joined us to Himself and we are His “body.” It is the Holy Spirit who makes this relationship a reality. While ministering in Guatemala many years ago (while in our 20s), Ceci and I went to a hospital to pray for a lady with tuberculosis. She was in a ward on the hospital grounds for the very poor, much like a battlefield hospital ward, with beds side by side, 3-4 feet apart. No walls or partitions for privacy or protection from communicating diseases, very little equipment, and their families had to bring them food. After praying for this lady, the woman next to her asked if we would pray for her. “Sure,” we replied, “what do you need?” Through an interpreter she told us, “My spinal cord was damaged during a surgery, and it has left my hands and feet irreparably paralyzed.” She pulled her arms out from under the cover and showed us her immobile hands. She also uncovered her drawn-up feet. I gulped, thinking, I don’t do paralysis. I do headaches, colds, hangnails - the TB was a huge stretch! But paralysis? That’s a little above my pay grade. But we were about to be given a lesson on what it means to have Holy Spirit as our Partner! We prayed, didn’t see or feel anything unusual, told her we would continue to pray for her and turned to leave. Then all heaven broke loose! She began to scream, “Milagro!” (Spanish for “miracle”) We looked back to see her demonstratively moving her hands and kicking her feet under the covers. We were in a hospital, but church broke out! Actually, Holy Spirit broke out. There were no workers present, so we preached, prayed and sang. Ladies were saved, healed and transformed. It was amazing - book of Acts stuff. Ceci and I left with tears in our eyes and joy in our hearts. I believe Holy Spirit wants to conduct meetings like that again. Why wouldn’t He? The coming revival will produce supernatural occurrences similar to this. At the present time, He’s training His partners. Pray with me: Father, we are excited about what we sense coming. Our Helper, Holy Spirit, is distributing gifts and anointings. We want to partake. We want these impartations. Therefore, we align ourselves accordingly: in humility, in faith, and in alignment with Christ. We know He wants to reveal Himself through us, and we intend to see it happen. Holy Spirit, release Your wonderful gifts! Gifts of healing, working of miracles, discernment, faith, words of knowledge and wisdom, prophecy and more. Take us to a higher level of partnering with You. We are filled with Your power; help us to demonstrate this! Father, bring an awakening of Holy Spirit’s role to the church. Forgive those who have refused Him access to their services - may we NEVER be embarrassed or shy about Him manifesting Himself. Holy Spirit, invade our gatherings, empower our efforts, saturate our lives. We expect this and thank You for it in advance. Amen. Jesus said it was actually advantageous for Him to leave earth, in order that Holy Spirit could be sent to us. Whereas Jesus, in His human body, could be in only one place at a time, Holy Spirit can be everywhere at once, and is IN us - not just with us. I stated that the single greatest key to biblically-defined success in any Christian endeavor is allowing the full work of Holy Spirit in and through us. And this is most certainly true with prayer. Another reference and some amplified definitions will give us even more insight into the role of our Helper. Second Corinthians 13:14 says, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of Holy Spirit, be with you all.” The word “fellowship” here is koinonia and is rich with meaning, as can be seen in the following definitions: Fellowship; Communion The use of the word koinonia tells us Holy Spirit wants intimacy with us. This same word is used in 1 Corinthians 10:16 to describe the Lord’s Table, the sacrament of “Communion.” The Lord’s Table is referred to as “Communion” (koinonia) because it brings us into fellowship or communion with Him. This involves dialogue. Holy Spirit wants to commune with us. He has much to say if we learn to listen. As our Teacher, He is the means to all wisdom and revelation from God. Many don’t realize we can enjoy this relationship with Him. We can, however, commune with Holy Spirit. At times Holy Spirit’s communion with us requires no words. As with any close relationship, some communication is simply a look, heart-to-heart time together. Rowell provides this illustration: In his book Good Morning Merry Sunshine, Chicago Tribune columnist Bob Greene chronicles his infant daughter’s first year of life. When little Amanda began crawling, he records: “This is something I’m having trouble getting used to. I will be in bed reading a book or watching TV. And I will look down at the foot of the bed and there will be Amanda’s head staring back at me. “Apparently, I’ve become one of the objects that fascinate her…It’s so strange. After months of having to go to her, now she is choosing to come to me. I don’t know quite how to react. All I can figure out is that she likes the idea of coming in and looking at me. She doesn’t expect anything in return. I’ll return her gaze, and in a few minutes, she’ll decide she wants to be back in the living room, and off she’ll crawl again.” The simple pleasure of looking at the one you love is what we enjoy each time we worship God and bask in His presence. (1) At times I crawl up to God for a look. Just knowing He is looking back is enough. However, at times Holy Spirit speaks and shares His heart while I’m gazing. There is a poignant picture of this level of intimacy hidden in the following Scriptures: For the devious are an abomination to the Lord; but He is intimate with the upright (Proverbs 3:32, emphasis mine). The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant (Psalms 25:14, emphasis mine). The words “intimate” and “secret” are translated from the same Hebrew word, cowd, which means “couch, cushion, or pillow.”(2) The picture is of two close friends seated on a couch, sharing intimate thoughts with one another. Or perhaps of a wife and husband sharing a pillow, conversing intimately. “Do you really think God wants that kind of relationship, Sheets?” you may be asking. Absolutely! Abraham was his “friend.” (2 Chronicles 20:7; Isaiah 41:8; James 2:23) David was “a man after God’s heart,” (see 1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22). If these relationships weren’t precious to the Lord, why did He reference them five times in Scripture? Enoch walked with God, bringing Him such pleasure that Yahweh just took him on to heaven (see Genesis 5:22, 24). The disciples, like Abraham, were called Christ’s friends (see John 15:15). God is into koinonia! We can be His friends, too. Several years ago, I was ministering in Toronto. On my last morning there, as I packed my bags, I was thinking about my final session, visiting (koinonia) with Holy Spirit. I wasn’t interceding, and it wasn’t during my normal quiet time. I was simply communing while working, sharing some of my inner thoughts with Him, much the same way I might have done with my wife, had she been there. Suddenly Holy Spirit spoke back to me. It was as natural and matter-of-fact as two friends sharing their thoughts. “Japan is really on My heart this morning,” He said. This surprised me, as I had never thought of God at times having one particular place on His heart more than others. I’ve always assumed He had every place on His heart, all the time. And the phrase “on My heart” surprised me, as well. Japan was more than on His mind; this was something deeper - very important to Him. I knew He was sharing His heart with me. He then said, “I must have Japan. It is a gate to Asia, and I must have it. There is tremendous warfare over the nation right now. Would you pray for Japan this morning in your session?” How do you like that?! Not a command, “Pray for Japan!” This was a request, “Would you…?” He was asking me! “Of course we will, Holy Spirit,” I said. “We would be honored to do that.” And we did! Such a strong anointing and burden came upon the assembly - tears, travail, intense intercession. This went on for about 45 minutes, at which time I had to leave for the airport. They continued - how long, I do not know. God brought insight to us in that session of how to pray for Japan. He gave us various Scripture promises to pray and declare over the nation, as well as other insights. It was amazing. And though I didn’t realize it until we began praying, 20-30 individuals from Japan had come to this conference. They were deeply moved and so encouraged. We brought them to the front and many believers gathered around them, while interceding for Japan. Japan shall be saved! This “watchman intercession” was born out of fellowship with Holy Spirit. Koinonia Means Sharing Together; Participating with us Holy Spirit wants to share His strength, power, wisdom, and information with us. He desires to participate with us in life’s endeavors. He certainly wants to participate with us in our prayer times. Partner is a word or concept related to participation. Watchmen learn to partner with Holy Spirit, and partnership with Him causes their prayer success rate to climb significantly! In his book, Prayer Is Invading the Impossible, Jack Hayford says, “Prayer is essentially a partnership of the redeemed child of God working hand in hand with God toward the realization of His redemptive purposes on earth.”(3) Holy Spirit facilitates this partnership. Let Him participate in your intercession. Allow Him to help you! Pray with me: Communing with God - what a moving thought, Father. Take us back to the first-love excitement of hanging out with You. We know Holy Spirit is ALWAYS with us, yet we so often take Him for granted. Remind us of His presence! Please! And remind us, also, that He wants to communicate with us. He wants “pillow talk” with His family; He wants to share “secrets” with His friends. Awaken the church to this reality. As we experience this, it will make us more effective watchmen. Speak to us, reveal to us what is on the Godhead’s heart today. What is Abba thinking? What does Christ, the Head of the church, want accomplished today/this week/this month? What are You saying to the church today, Holy Spirit? We are listening, and ready to partner with You! You have told us July is significant for Washington, DC. In response, a few of us have journeyed there today to pray. Lead us as we do so. We want to know - if You stood there today, what would You declare? For You will be standing there - in us! Lead us. We’ll declare it! You’ve already shown us to offer up decrees that will release angels and their battering rams against Lucifer’s/Baal’s hold on the White House. We will do so, with the agreement now of tens of thousands of believers. Their faith and authority will be joined to ours as we pray. This is the Ekklesia! This is laying siege - watchman intercession. Holy Spirit, fill our prayers with YOUR power!!!! We call this done, in Jesus’ name..! Our decree: We decree that angelic battering rams are breaking satanic strongholds in DC this month! Whereas Jesus, in His human body, could be in only one place at a time; Holy Spirit can be everywhere at once, and is IN us, not just with us. I ended the post by saying that the single greatest key to biblically-defined success in any Christian endeavor is allowing the full work of Holy Spirit in and through us. This is most certainly true with prayer. If we are to become skilled watchmen, we must become increasingly led and instructed by Holy Spirit. He was Christ’s helper, and He must be ours as well. Jesus was filled with, led, empowered, and anointed by Holy Spirit (see Luke 4). Acts 10:38 again says Christ derived His power from Holy Spirit, and our power must flow from the same source - the Holy Spirit (see Acts 1:8). In a seminary missions class, Herbert Jackson told how, as a new missionary, he was assigned a car that would not start without a push and popping the clutch. After pondering his problem, he devised a plan. He went to the school near his home, got permission to take some children out of class, and had them push his car. As he made his rounds, he would either park on a hill or leave his car running. He used this procedure for two years. Ill health forced the Jackson family to leave, and a new missionary came to that station. When Jackson proudly began to explain his arrangement for getting the car started, the new man began looking under the hood. Before the explanation was complete, the new missionary interrupted, “Why Dr. Jackson, I believe the only trouble is this loose cable.” He gave the cable a twist, stepped into the car, pushed the switch, and to Jackson’s astonishment, the engine roared to life. For two years, needless trouble had become routine. The power was there all the time. Only a loose connection kept Jackson from putting the power to work. J.B. Phillips paraphrases Ephesians 1:19-20, “How tremendous is the power available to us who believe in God.” When we make firm our connection with Holy Spirit, His life and power flow through us. (1) There are two references in Scripture to Holy Spirit being our Helper. One is John 16:7: “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.” Here, the word is parakletos, which literally means “called to another’s side to aid, help or support.”(2) While often used to describe a legal advocate or attorney, it is not limited to this but includes any and every means of helping. I’ve often marveled at Holy Spirit’s humility. He could demand from us, assert His dominance, or force Himself on us. However, He postures Himself as an aide, a helper, waiting for the invitation to be all that He is. And oh, how we waste His availability and offer of help. One of the areas in which Holy Spirit wants to help us is spiritual warfare. This was another interesting use of the term parakletos. “Greek soldiers went into battle in pairs so that when an enemy attacked, they could draw together, back-to-back, covering each other’s blind side. One’s battle partner was his paraclete.”(3) Yes, our greatest partner in battle is Holy Spirit! As Samson of old, we become more than conquerors when He is our strength. The same anointing of Holy Spirit that gave Samson physical power gives us spiritual power. Don’t waste it! Acts 1:8 says we receive power (the Amplified Bible says “power and ability”) when Holy Spirit indwells us. He wants to release His power from us into situations to heal, transform, bind demonic powers, dethrone principalities, and more. The Amplified Bible, Classic Edition, uses no less than seven terms to describe/translate the concept of Holy Spirit as our paraclete: “Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby.” Incredible! That’s a lot to meditate on. Holy Spirit has been sent to help us in EVERY aspect of our life and ministry. He is the key to success! As watchmen, we must lean heavily on Him. The second passage that refers to Holy Spirit “helping” us is Romans 8:26: “And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words” (emphasis mine). The Greek word is sunantilambanomai. It is a compound word made up of three words. Sun means “together with”; anti, “against”; and lambano, “to take hold of.”(4) Putting them together, a very literal meaning of the word is, “take hold of, together with, against.” How’s that for help?! In situations where we’re experiencing difficulty in obtaining results, Holy Spirit wants to take hold of the situation with us, adding His strength to ours. One of the ways in which he takes hold with us is by directing us on how to pray, “for we know not what we should pray for as we ought” (Romans 8:26, KJV). His strength is made complete in our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9). When we realize our weaknesses and inability to produce results, this causes us to look to Him for help. If we allow Him to pray through us, He will take hold together with us. We must believe that when Holy Spirit takes hold, something is going to move! Please notice that both the word “helps” and its literal definition “takes hold together with against” imply - not that Holy Spirit is doing it for us - but with us. In other words, this isn’t something Holy Spirit is simply doing in us, with or without our participation. No, we involve Him by praying as He leads, which is actually allowing Him to pray through us. His power is released through the prayers, and mountains are moved. This reminds me of the mouse and elephant who were best friends. They hung out together all the time, the mouse riding on the elephant’s back. One day they crossed a wooden bridge, causing it to bow, creak, and sway under their combined weight. After they were across, the mouse, impressed with their ability to make such an impact, said to the elephant, “We sure shook that bridge, didn’t we?” Yes, Holy Spirit is the source of power, the weighty One, but He allows us to participate and share in the victories. In fact, He won’t cross the bridge without us. Pray with me: Father, we thank You again for Your Spirit, Holy Spirit, being sent to us as our Helper. Just as Jesus was filled with, led, empowered, and anointed by Holy Spirit, we have been promised the same help. We receive this now by faith. We ask and are trusting You to bring a fresh infilling of Holy Spirit to the Ekklesia, to sharpen our discernment, to mature us in being led more accurately by our Helper. Just as Jesus was anointed by Holy Spirit (Acts 10:38), so we draw near to You and ask for a stronger anointing, in order to more effectively release Christ into the earth. Prophets have told us through dreams and prophecies that this month of July is significant for Washington, DC. In a dream, You showed angels with battering rams tearing down the protection afforded the spirit of Baal in and around the White House. We lay hold of those words now and decree them into our nation’s capital: “America, Washington, DC, White House, be free from the spirit of Baal! His roots have been destroyed. They will no longer bring forth fruit! Washington DC, receive the significant operation spoken of by the Spirit of God this month of July.” We trust You, Holy Spirit, as our great Paraclete. We know You are our protector in this battle. You are also the One who takes hold with us against our enemies. Take hold of our nation this month. Take hold of Baal this month. Dislodge him from Washington DC and the White House. And Father, just as with Israel under Elijah‘s prophetic ministry, we declare that as a nation we will no longer limp between two opinions (1 Kings 18:21). We declare, “The Lord, He is God! Yahweh is God!” (1 Kings 18:39). Now, we ask You for the rain of Holy Spirit to fall upon our land, just as it did in Elijah’s day. Send a deluge of Holy Spirit life to our land. Pour Holy Spirit out on us! We ask for all of this in the holy name of Jesus, amen. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-19-2022 July 19, 2022 Christ’s Astonishing Statement “It is better for you that I leave,” Jesus told His followers (see John 16:7). What a seemingly ridiculous, asinine statement! After watching Him raise the dead, heal lepers, walk on water, calm raging storms with His words, deliver the insane, pay taxes with fish-delivered money - the list seems endless - can you imagine the shock of the disciples at such a statement? Of course, Jesus was forever shocking them with His words and actions. They probably thought, with surprise and astonishment, “There He goes again!” I can almost see the disciples waiting until He looked away and then rolling their eyes at one another. A short time before, Christ had mentioned going to prepare dwelling places for them in the presence of the Father. “But then again, you know where I’m going,” He stated rather matter of factly (John 4:4, Sheets’ paraphrase). “We don’t have the slightest idea where you’re going” (Sheets’ paraphrase of John 14:5), Thomas finally had the brass to say. Thank God for Thomas! If he could express his frustration at some of God’s words and ways, so can we. (And occasionally I do!) Peter also vented his frustration, at times. On one occasion, he had finally heard enough confusing words about Jesus dying and decided He needed a good rebuke (Matthew 16:22-23). Unlike Thomas, Peter did NOT get away with it. “Get behind me, satan,” Jesus said. I suppose the lesson learned is: plead ignorance with God, even disagree, just don’t rebuke Him. I’m certain that Christ’s declaration in John 16:7 that His leaving would be advantageous for them was more than simply confusing, however. It was one thing for the disciples to see and hear things beyond their comprehension. But when Jesus started talking about leaving them, I’m sure that began pushing a few panic buttons. How could His leaving possibly be advantageous for them? He was God incarnate, Immanuel, for heaven’s sake. The answer lies in two understandings. The first has to do with a more complete meaning of the word Christ used. The Greek word translated “advantage” is sumphero, which literally means “to bring together. (1) It is translated as such because the bringing together of necessary things or people is advantageous to an endeavor. Christ was saying, in essence, “My leaving will result in a new connection for you, a joining, which will be of tremendous benefit to you, an even greater benefit than My actually being present with you.” The second fact that made Christ’s statement true was regarding just who he was going to connect them with…the One with whom the new connection would be. Jesus was, of course, speaking of Holy Spirit. “I will bring you together with Holy Spirit. This will be even more advantageous than having Me here with you in the flesh. The bodily limitation of My being in only one place at a time will not exist with Him. And not only will He be with all of you at the same time, He’ll be in you. You will become His body - His hands, feet, and mouth! He’ll touch through you, move through you and speak through you.” I’m not sure any of us have fully grasped the ramifications of this. But Jesus was absolutely serious when He said, “It’s to your advantage that I leave.” Consider the following facts regarding the greatness of God: “The God dwelling within you made our solar system. Our galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars. But the Milky Way is but one of a trillion galaxies in the universe. There are 20 galaxies in our group. The nearest cluster of galaxies, Virgo, is 50 million light years away. (A light year is the distance light travels in a year.) Astronomers estimate the distance across the universe is 40 billion light years, and contains 100 billion trillion stars!” (2) The Creator of all this dwells in you! What could we be and do with a greater revelation of this fact? Listen to two leading Christian voices describe the work of Holy Spirit in their lives. Jack Hayford, one of the great church fathers of the last 60-plus years, says: “It is the Spirit who keeps the Word alive, and progressively being “incarnated” in me. It is the Spirit who infuses prayer and praise with passion and begets vital faith for the supernatural. It is the Spirit who teaches and instructs me so that the “mirror” of the Word shines Jesus in and crowds sin out. It is the Spirit who brings gifts and giftedness for power-ministry to my life. It is the Spirit who will bring love, graciousness, and a spirit of unity to my heart; so that I not only love the lost and want to see people brought to Christ, but I love all other Christians and refuse to become an instrument of injury to Christ’s body - the Church.” (3) So powerful..! The late Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, states this about Holy Spirit: “He guides us (John 16:13), empowers us (Micah 3:8), makes us holy (Romans 8:16), comforts us (John 14:16-26), and gives us joy (Romans 14:17). As our teacher of spiritual truths, Holy Spirit illuminates our minds with insights into the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:12-13) and reveals to us the hidden things of God (Isaiah 40:13-14). As you are filled with Holy Spirit, the Bible becomes alive, prayer becomes vital, your witness becomes effective, and obedience becomes a joy. Then, as a result of your obedience in these areas, your faith grows, and you become more mature in your spiritual life.” (4) Great stuff! Holy Spirit is all of this and more. The single greatest key to success in any Christian endeavor is allowing the full work of Holy Spirit in and through us. This is true for our personal growth and development, and it is certainly true concerning all ministry, including prayer. In spite of this, He is largely ignored and taken for granted. Pray with me: Father, we are in awe of Your incredible plan. From the beginning of creation Your intent was to indwell humans. We were to be more than angels or animals; we were to be Your family members - filled with, led, and empowered by Holy Spirit. Though this was temporarily lost, Jesus restored the plan. May the revelation of this truth come alive in the Ekklesia. Release revelation of just how incredible it is to be filled with Holy Spirit. Awaken the church to this profound truth, so much so that we are continually reminded to draw on His wisdom, counsel, power and knowledge. He is our advantage! He gives us the upper hand! Teach us to partner with Him - He is all that we need. And Father, we recall the prophetic words regarding the month of July being significant for our nation. We pray that our words become “battering rams,” used by angels against evil strongholds of Baal in our government, just as You showed Tim Sheets in a dream. We release this to occur, through the authority given to us by our Head, Christ Jesus. We declare that July is a month of breakthrough and that the summer months are months of tremendous Holy Spirit release. We do all of this in the name of Jesus. Amen. 7 min read July 18, 2022 During this strategic season, I feel the need to travel a little more than usual for on-location prayer, significant prayer services, etc. So today, I am using a post recorded for me by my friend, Dr. Greg Hood. I know it will be meaningful for you, and I’ll be back for tomorrow’s post. Here’s Greg: Wrestling with God Wrestling was a family tradition for Jacob’s family. His wife, Rachel, in Genesis 30:8, “wrestled” with her sister. He had a son named Naphtali, whose name actually means to wrestle. Jacob was tenacious and worked for 14 years for his two wives. He endured the constant scheming and trickery of his father-in-law, Laban, who changed his wages 10 times over their years together, and he constantly swapped out the good livestock with the poor livestock. Whenever Jacob would get the upper hand, which was frequently because God blessed him, Laban tried another means to rob him. Yet Jacob, through God, always prevailed. Even though Jacob's name means “deceiver, supplanter, and manipulator,” he was able to take hold of something and hang on to it until he got what he wanted out of it. He even tricked his older brother, Esau, out of his birthright, something that would haunt him later in life. After years of struggle with Laban, God told Jacob it was time to move on (see Genesis 31:13). Jacob’s new journey began at Bethel. The word Bethel means “house of God.” Jacob’s journey to the place of his birth was to get back to his true identity, and finding out who he was. It was also to erase his past. This would not be an easy journey; there would be many growth opportunities masquerading as challenges. Scripture says we do not wrestle against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12), and this was true of Jacob on this journey. On his way to discover his identity, God spoke to him at Bethel. He heard God but had not yet encountered him. And yet, as we will see, entering the house of God was not enough for Jacob to obtain his identity, destiny, or purpose. It was not enough to qualify him to step into who God called him to be. And it is not enough for us today. Of course, some people think that everybody is approved by God because “whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved” (see Romans 10:13), right? Yes, but that doesn’t always mean what we want it to mean. Scripture also says: “For many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:14). The Bible is telling us that while some choose to mature and grow up, many others want to be babies and get spoon-fed all their lives. So yes, Jacob was on a journey through Bethel, the house of God, but there was really no change to him other than increasing his frustration and fear. His father-in-law, Laban, pursued him and Jacob had to make peace with him (see Genesis 31). He also encountered angels (Genesis 32:1). Yet there were bigger things in store for Jacob. Wrestling With God The house of God is a good place to find God, but finding him there in a corporate experience is not enough to change your name, find your purpose, encounter your destiny, and pull fear and religion out of your heart. You see, even at this time, Jacob was not sure who his God was going to be or what this God could do. Genesis 28:20-22 (NASB) Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will keep me on this journey that I take, and will give me food to eat and garments to wear, and I return to my father’s house in safety, then the Lord will be my God. This stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God’s house, and of all that You give me, I will surely give a tenth to You.” “Then the Lord will be my God.” Really? I’m sure God was impressed that Jacob might one day give Him permission to be his God. Little did Jacob know, he was about to meet God in a big way. As is typical of life-changing encounters with God, it happened when he was alone. Let's read Genesis 32:24-30 (NASB), Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. When he saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the socket of his thigh; so the socket of Jacob’s thigh was dislocated while he wrestled with him. Then he said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” So he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.” He said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel; for you have striven with God and with men and have prevailed.” Then Jacob asked him and said, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, “Why is it that you ask my name?” And he blessed him there. So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, “I have seen God face-to-face, yet my life has been preserved.” The word “blessed" means many things. For one, it means “that in blessing me, you bless everybody.” It also means “to congratulate.” Think about the exchange between Jacob and God. “Congratulate me.” “Wait a minute. Your thigh is out of the socket. You are not who you were. You were losing the fight.” “Yeah, but I am not letting you go until you congratulate me, and I get what I came for. You must bless me and bring me into a place where I am living as who I am supposed to be because I cannot go on like this any longer.” So, “congratulate" also involves boasting. Can you imagine wrestling with God, and God says, “Look, I got to go. The sun is coming up. I am going to touch here. BOOM, You’re done.” But you hang on and say, “I am not letting you go; congratulate me as the winner.” The passage we just read did say that Jacob prevailed. This is amazing. “Blessed” also means “to persist in blessing.” Jacob wanted God to speak over him. So he was saying: “I want my blessing. My grandfather had a blessing. My father had a blessing. I must have a blessing.” Anytime you’re looking for promotion from God, He will first bring you back to your present reality before He promotes you into His reality—the place where His truth and your promotion reside. God was asking many things of Jacob when He asked: “What is your name?” He was asking Jacob: What are the defaming marks of your life? What are the memorials that have been built up in your life? What are the altars that have been built up in your life? What are you renowned for? Jacob had to answer some tough questions from God. Likewise, at key moments of our lives, each of us will have to answer the same questions. This is called qualification. It may not feel like it as we are shaking in our boots and wishing we brought a change of pants, but God has a purpose. Jacob was caught between his identity, a rock, and who God wanted him to be. I can imagine his response to God’s question: “Who are you?” (Genesis 32:27) Here’s my redneck paraphrase, “I am Jacob. I am a deceiver. I am a supplanter. I am a conman. I am a dysfunctional guy who stole my inheritance from my older brother, Esau. I deceived my father, wound up with a first wife I don’t love who is giving me more kids than the second wife who, incidentally, I do love. So, I’m spending more time with the first wife, and that is frustrating to the second wife. And just when things couldn’t get any more messed up, I took the maids of both of them and fathered children with each woman. Later, I had to run from my father-in-law, Laban, who had made cheating me an art form, and now I am running from my brother, Esau, who is seeking revenge. I am Jacob.” Jacob was in a hard place. He had already been to the house of God - Bethel. He had already experienced God on some level, but he was still being pursued. Now, when you get to the house of God and experience God there, and those who want to kill you are still in hot pursuit, you have to get beyond the house of God and find God himself at a level that identifies your purpose. In doing so, you just may discover that it was God who orchestrated these events to bring you to the place where you sought him at a greater level—the level He wanted you to reach in Him all along. Over the years, I have had to wrestle with God. And I looked over in the corner, but there was nobody to tag. That’s when I realized that this is not a team match. This is a one-on-one championship bout, and God had a better record than I did. But I reached a place where I could tell God: “Congratulate me. I am seeing this thing through.” What is the lesson from this transformative event in Jacob’s life? It is that we have to hang on. We have to wrestle with God until the sun comes up and declare that we are coming back into our rightful place. So, God: bless me, congratulate me! Pray with me: Father, bring us to the place where we discover the Jacob within us. Give us the fortitude to hang on in this wrestling match with You until we are changed into who You have seen us be all along. Our decree: We decree that we are stepping past the House of God experience and we are coming into the place where we take hold of God personally, and He takes hold of us! Due to the fact that we consistently pick up new listeners, and also that most of you are not able to tune in or read the post every single day, it occurred to me that some of you do not know where this phrase originated. The answer is VERY encouraging. The first time I recall hearing the phrase, it was a quote from Reinhard Bonnke. Bonnke (1940-2019) was a German-American evangelist, principally known for his crusades throughout Africa. Millions of people came to Christ in his meetings, which were marked by great miracles. Later in his ministry, Bonnke became very burdened for America. In 2013 he made the following statement: “God spoke to me that the time has come for a mighty wave of salvation to sweep the U.S. from city to city, from state to state, and from coast to coast. I’ve seen God shake whole nations in Africa—nations I thought God had given up on suddenly were in the grip of the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And then I came to the only conclusion one can come to: I have turned into an incurable believer that God can do the same in America that I’ve seen done in Africa. I’ve seen it. I’ve experienced it. I have witnesses by the millions that this is the truth. And I will not join the choir of the prophets of doom and gloom. This day is the day of salvation!”(1) Then in February, Bonnke proclaimed at a two-day meeting in his then hometown of Vero Beach, FL, “America shall be saved!”(2) Another great confirmation came to me in 2018. We hosted a gathering in Washington DC in February of that year. It was called The Turnaround. This was perhaps the most significant and powerful prayer gathering I have ever participated in. Just before the meeting ended, I was handed the following dream, which had been received by Gina Gholston. We ended the gathering by sharing the dream: “I dreamed that two friends (fellow intercessors), my Mom and Dad, and I were walking down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. I knew The Turnaround conference (at the Trump Hotel) was ending at that very moment. “I turned and saw a courier angel coming out of the hotel's doors. He was carrying a scroll, not a huge scroll, but fairly large. His face was set toward the US Capitol building and he headed immediately in that direction. “We decided to follow him, and did so even as he went into the Capitol. We then entered the House Chambers. The scene was like that of a State of the Union address. All the lawmakers were there in their seats, and many other people were in the gallery. It was a packed house. “The courier angel with the scroll was standing at the double doors in the back, those through which the Presidents enter at the State of the Union address. As he stood there, he loudly announced, with authority and confidence, "ALL RISE!" And just as had happened at the previous State of the Union Address (Trump’s first), some people stood, while others disrespectfully and snidely stayed seated. “The angel then opened the scroll and said - very loudly and adamantly, ‘The verdict has been determined: AMERICA SHALL BE SAVED!’ Immediately a ‘cloud,’ no doubt the glory of God, came from behind the angel and filled the room. “Those who had stood at the angel’s entrance crumpled to their knees, weeping, overcome by the reality of God's presence. Some who had remained seated were now on their knees, shouting, ‘I'm sorry!!! I'm so sorry!!’ Others, with their hardened hearts, remained seated. I knew judgment was beginning, and God's ruling authority was being established. Transformation and reformation were initiated; America's new path had begun.” I have believed since 2000 that America will be saved. In spite of the filth, apostasy in the church, lies, wicked people in government, revisionist history, lying educators, corrupt media, overwhelming debt, and the disconnection with our spiritual roots, I have been confident that America shall be saved. I must say, however, that when I read this dream, the faith in my heart penetrated to an even deeper level. America SHALL be saved - through a great, mighty, unprecedented revival. And this revival will also produce a billion or more conversions to Christ worldwide. My faith for this is not anchored in the Republican Party, Donald Trump, preachers, the American church, or any other human agency. My faith is anchored in the passionate love, unlimited power, and fierce determination of an all-wise God who has determined this will happen. And it will!!! Do not listen to the doubters and don’t be moved by what you see around you. No revival I know of in history occurred when things looked good spiritually or morally. Revival isn’t needed then! The First Great Awakening came when America was at a low point spiritually; the Second Great Awakening did, as well. Salvation doesn’t come to those who deserve it, but to those who need it. It is not merit-based. Grace and mercy are what bring about revival - along with humble appeals to the God who loves to save! When we cry out for revival, for the saving of millions of people, always remember that we are not pleading to a harsh God who is trying to make up His mind whether or not He wants to do so. HE has placed the appeal in our hearts! Our prayers and actions are simply enabling Him to do what He passionately desires to do. He works His will through us! The verdict has been rendered: America - and a billion or more people from other nations - shall be saved! Do not doubt it! Pray with me: Father, the accuser of the brethren is also the accuser of the Godhead. He paints You as One who is hesitant to forgive, always ready to judge, stern, harsh and legalistic. And yet, You say You are love (John 4:8). You demonstrated that love by sending Christ to die for us, even while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). You are kind, forgiving and Your mercies never end - they are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23). We anchor our faith to Your word and Your nature. We refuse to believe anything else. YOU LOVE TO SAVE! Jesus, You enjoyed the company of sinners. Though You did not participate in their sin, nevertheless, You loved being with them. Your love is so great! Boundless! Immeasurable! Eternal! We agree with You: America shall be saved! She will turn around and re-capture the destiny You raised her up to fulfill. You will be loved in America; You will be honored in America; and Your gospel will go forth from America. And we will be part of Your worldwide harvest. Nothing will stop this. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. We declare these things in the all powerful name of Jesus, amen. 7 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-14-2022 July 14, 2022 God Will Save Your Family I have often heard the phrase “All we can do is pray.” That misguided statement reminds me of the amazing role played by some Czechs in World War II. Craig Larson offers this retelling of Elmer Bendiner’s account of one bombing run over the German city of Kassel, which Bendiner describes in his book The Fall of Fortresses: “Our B-17 (The Tondelayo) was barraged by flack from Nazi anti-aircraft guns. That was not unusual, but on this particular occasion our gas tanks were hit. Later, as I reflected on the miracle of a twenty-millimeter shell piercing the fuel tank without touching off an explosion our pilot, Bohn Fawkes, told me it was not quite that simple. “On the morning following the raid, Bohn had gone down to ask our crew chief for that shell as a souvenir of unbelievable luck. The crew chief told Bohn that not just one shell but eleven had been found in the gas tanks - eleven unexploded shells where only one was sufficient to blast us out of the sky. It was as if the sea had been parted for us. Even after thirty-five years, so awesome an event leaves me shaken, especially after I heard the rest of the story from Bohn. “He was told that the shells had been sent to the armorers to be defused. The armorers told him that Intelligence had picked them up. They could not say why at the time, but Bohn eventually sought out the answer. Apparently when the armorers opened each of those shells, they found no explosive charge. They were as clean as a whistle and just as harmless. Empty? Not all of them. “One contained a carefully rolled piece of paper. On it was scrawled in Czech. The Intelligence people scoured our base for a man who could read Czech. Eventually, they found one to decipher the note. It caused us to marvel. Translated, the note read: ‘This is all we can do for you now.’”(1) All we can do? The pilots on that B-17 certainly did not have a small opinion of what those Czechs had done. Nor did the wives, children, or grandchildren of those soldiers. Not to mention other lives they saved by helping deliver the world from Adolf Hitler. I sometimes think of this story when I hear people bemoan their helplessness or lack of contribution as they announce, “All we can do is pray.” What better activity could a person possibly do? We can impact the world, secure destinies, and affect eternity through prayer. As we think about the importance of watchman intercession for individuals, most of us probably think immediately of our families, as well we should. Our personal family is where we must begin. Quin Sherrer has taught much on the subject of praying for family members. In her book Good Night, Lord she relates an occasion of interceding for her son: **************** “I clearly remember a day when the Lord spoke to me about my teenage child, as I walked the beach, deeply concerned about his spiritual condition. I realized that as a parent, I had made so many mistakes. So, I asked the Lord to forgive me. “That afternoon, as I walked alone, I proclaimed aloud Scriptures tucked away in my heart. ‘The seed of the righteous shall be delivered,’ I shouted into the wind. ‘Because of Jesus’ blood I am righteous and my children are my seed and they shall be delivered,’ I paraphrased. ‘All my children shall be taught of the Lord, and great will be their peace,’ I paraphrased again. (see Proverbs 11:21; Isaiah 54:13 KJV) “Over and over, I repeated scriptural promises God had given me for my children; I desperately needed an answer for my child. After more than an hour of this, I reached down and picked up a small brown shell being tossed about by the waves. ‘Trust me to polish and perfect your son,’ the Lord seemed to whisper to my spirit as I turned the shell over in my hand. “I took my shell home, cleaned it, and set it where I could see it whenever I cooked. ‘Lord, You promised,” I would say some days as I cradled it in my palm. Even after he left for college and I saw little change, I thanked God for His word that He and He alone would perfect my son whom I loved so very much. “Our prayer battle ended one night when he called to ask his father and me to forgive him; we asked him to forgive us, too. He had started his pilgrimage back to the Lord. After college and a short career, he enrolled in Bible school. “Not long ago, he finished seven years of service with the Youth With A Mission organization (YWAM)...Today he’s a godly husband and father. “My ‘promise shell’ still sits in my kitchen, testimony to a prayer answer God gave me so many years ago.”(2) That is the watchman anointing! Quin also shares prayer steps she used in being a watchman for her children: “Be specific Pray Scripture passages aloud Write down your prayers Pray in accordance with God’s will Pray for your children’s future.”(3) In another of her books, The Spiritual Warrior’s Prayer Guide, she and Ruthanne Garlock give biblical examples of how to do this by offering the following scriptural prayers: “That Jesus Christ be formed in our children (see Galatians 4:19) That our children - the seed of the righteous - will be delivered from the evil one (see Proverbs 11:21 KJV; Matthew 6:13) That our children will be taught of the Lord and their peace will be great (see Isaiah 54:13) That they will train themselves to discern good from evil and have a good conscience toward God (see Hebrews 5:14; 1 Peter 3:21) That God’s laws will be in their minds and on their hearts (see Hebrews 8:10) That they will choose companions who are wise - not fools nor sexually immoral, nor drunkards, nor idolaters, nor slanders, nor swindlers (see Proverbs 13:20; 1 Corinthians 5:11) That they will remain sexually pure and keep themselves only for their spouse, asking God for His grace to keep such a commitment (see Ephesians 5:3; 31-33) That they will honor their parents (see Ephesians 6:1-3)”(4) I have said several times in recent posts that the concept of being watchmen involves aggressively laying siege through prayer in order to possess or capture, not just protecting. Quin’s friend and writing partner, Ruthanne Garlock shares a powerful testimony of someone who implemented this aspect of the watchman anointing for an unsaved family member: “Sue, a former student, called one day and asked me to pray for her unsaved father who had terminal cancer. Sue and her mother had prayed for years for him to accept Jesus. Now near death, he was very bitter, blaming God for his illness. “‘How can we lead him to Christ when he is so angry?’ Sue asked me. “‘The problem is, he’s believing satan’s lie that God is his enemy,’ I responded. ‘He needs to see that God is his only source of help. I suggest you bind the lying spirit that has deceived him. Then just shower your father with unconditional love; don’t preach to him anymore.’ “Sue’s mother and brother picked up extension phones, and I prayed while they agreed: ‘Thank you, Father, that it is your desire to bring Sue’s dad into your kingdom. We take authority in the name of Jesus and bind the deceiving spirits that are lying to him. We ask Holy Spirit to reveal the truth that You love him. Lord, cause him to come to his senses and escape from the trap of the devil. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.’ “I suggested they continue this strategy. ‘Use the authority Jesus gave you to forbid the enemy to speak to your father.’ About six weeks later, Sue called to tell me her father had died. But just before he died, he received Jesus as his Lord. “‘One day as I walked through the living room where he was lying on the sofa, I went over and hugged him and said, ‘I love you, Dad,’ Sue related. ‘Tears came to his eyes - it was the first time I had ever seen him cry. As I began to share with him about the Lord, I could tell Holy Spirit had already prepared his heart. He willingly accepted Jesus right then.’”(5) *********** That is the watchman anointing bearing fruit. Siege walls were built by prayer, prohibiting satan from continuing to lie to this father. As a result, he is in Heaven today. Pray with me: Father, it is Your will that all people are saved. We know we have tremendous authority to pray for our children and other family members. We ask for You to do whatever it takes to bring them to a point of faith in Christ. We ask for the revelation, deliverance, and connections with laborers that they need. For those who are prodigals, we ask that they come to their senses, just as the prodigal did in Scripture. We come into agreement now for a mighty move of Your Holy Spirit to sweep them into the Kingdom in this season. We boldly declare that none of them will perish without coming to know You. We surround them with walls of protection in the spirit and decree that they will not die before coming to know You. And now we also come into agreement for the necessary understanding to come to the church, enabling us to more effectively lay siege in the spirit. Show us how to pray and what to pray. As we implement the scriptures and principles in this post, we declare boldly that all of our family members will come to Christ. In Your name we pray and declare this. Amen. 6 Minute Read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-13-2022 July 13, 2022 Let the Sieges Continue I want to make sure all of you saw the post I did a week ago on July 5, entitled The Man In the Arena. It is very important to me. The post was a tribute to you, the faithful intercessors and workers who are rarely recognized or thanked. Heaven knows who you are, and you can be certain your Father in Heaven appreciates you. If you have not read or listened to the post, please do so. And now, for today’s post… As intercessors, we must be strong in perseverance. Whether interceding for a person or a nation, it often requires a prolonged season of time to see results. Some types of prayer are more like a siege than one quick battle. Situations that require the changing of people’s minds, such as their conversion to Christ, take time. Holy Spirit must inject thoughts into their minds to influence their reasoning, cause encounters with the right people, work to end wrong relationships, and more. Also, we must engage in spiritual warfare for individuals, which takes time. “We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ” (2 Corinthians 10: 3-5 NLT). This is a great promise, but the fruit doesn’t occur overnight. The time factor is compounded when dealing with nations. Holy Spirit goes to work on corporate mindsets and strongholds through the prayers and spiritual warfare of believers. “Siege” is a great term to describe this process. Remember this is one of the meanings of the Old Testament word for a watchman. The concept of a siege implies time and a systematic process. Though most spiritual breakthroughs seem sudden, they are actually a culmination of much that has taken place over time to prepare the way. Galatians 6:9 tells us, “Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.” “Time” in this verse is the Greek word kairos, which means “strategic or opportune time.” It is contrasted to the Greek word chronos, meaning “general, chronological time;” there’s nothing strategic or opportunistic about chronos - it’s simply a season or progression of time. Kairos, however, is a segment of that season which has now become strategic, producing an opportunity. For example, the time from plowing a field up until the beginning of harvest is chronos; harvest season is kairos. From the conception of a child until labor is chronos; the time of labor and birth is kairos. Knowing the difference between the two and being able to recognize when time has shifted to kairos is important. If not, opportunities can be missed (see Luke 19:41-44) and necessary activities not implemented (1 Chronicles 12:32). We must also learn to value and cooperate with the often unexciting and laborious chronos phase. It is necessary. In farming, the soil must be prepared, seeds planted, and much care given to the crops during the chronos growing season. When a child is conceived, much time and care is given to its development before the kairos time of birth takes place. Both phases are critical and must be properly discerned. Galatians 6:9 assures us that if we persevere in faith and in doing what is necessary (chronos), we will come to the opportune time of reaping or breakthrough (kairos). Whether praying for the salvation of a person or revival in a nation, a prolonged season of chronos activity is usually necessary before we reach the exciting kairos window of opportunity. Most suddenlies, as in revival, aren’t really suddenlies; they are the result of prayer “sieges” that continued all the way to breakthrough. Chronos seasons can be long, which no one really likes. After God made a promise to Abraham and Sarah concerning a son, and eventually a nation, there was a 24-year chronos season requiring faithfulness, commitment, faith, and patience. Though not perfectly, Abraham and Sarah nonetheless, persevered through this time until chronos shifted to kairos. In Genesis 18:10, Yahweh said: “I will surely return to you at this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.” (The word for “time” in this verse is the Hebrew word eth, which is equivalent to the Greek word kairos.) Chronos became kairos, and the promise was fulfilled. After his dramatic conversion in Acts 9, Saul - later named Paul - entered a long season of chronos. Those twelve years of faithful study, equipping, and transformation on the Potter’s wheel, allowed Holy Spirit to cause the shift mentioned in Acts 13, changing chronos to kairos: “While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them,’” (v.2). In the 1940s through the 1980s, much of Europe was under a shroud of Communist oppression and bondage. The Iron Curtain held millions of hopeless souls in captivity while a helpless world looked on. During this chronos season of seeming inactivity, however, much was actually occurring in the spirit realm. Untold thousands - perhaps millions - of prayers were offered for the liberation of this part of the world and the fall of Communism. In what seemed like a day, this siege bore its fruit, and God created a divine shift. Chronos was transformed into kairos, and the Iron Curtain came down. This did not occur in spite of the chronos season; it happened because of what was taking place in and through the chronos season. Hang in there! You may be only days from your kairos. The divine shift your faithfulness is helping create may be imminent. Regarding America, it may seem we are far from revival, but do not grow weary in your praying and activities. Our siege will produce a breakthrough. He who promised is faithful, and America shall be saved! Holy Spirit has indicated that this month of July is an important time in the process. I believe June 24 (the overturning of Roe) lifted a curse off our nation, allowing opportunities for further breakthroughs - a domino effect, if you will. Let’s persevere and seize the moment. Let the siege continue! Pray with me: Father, it is important and remarkable that the word watchmen has both a defensive and offensive meaning; a word used to describe protection, is also used to describe war and conquering. More than ever, we ask You for increased understanding to be effective watchmen. We want to protect our families, homes, cities, and nations - yes. And where satan has already gained a foothold, we have been and will continue laying siege in prayer, cutting off his supply lines and communications, discerning his activities and barraging him with powerful decrees and declarations from Holy Spirit. We know satan has been defeated. But we also know that through ignorance and sin, he is allowed to rule territories and lives. As we do what You instructed us to do, however, we will rescue these territories and lives from the evil one, transferring them into Your Kingdom of blessing and life. So, we ask You to shift us fully into the season of harvest. Enable us to fulfill both Mark 16 - expanding Your family all over the world, and Matthew 28 - teaching entire nations Your ways and Kingdom principles. As we do this, the transformation will be monumental, bringing life, health, and peace. Do all that You desire and have determined to do through Your people in this month of July 2022. We know sieges have begun and will intensify in Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, South America, North America, and the islands. We also decree that the siege of Washington D.C. and America will intensify. We declare that the corruption and evil in this nation will be exposed, especially in government. We declare that the righteousness of God will once again invade the government of America. We decree that the salvation of the Lord is coming to this land and will not be stalled. This is not because we deserve it - no one deserves salvation. It is because of Your mercy and the blood of Your Son, Jesus. And we declare that the destiny You have called America to will be accomplished. Every stronghold over America is being demolished, and every principality ruling us is being overthrown. Every giant will fall, in the mighty, all-powerful name of Jesus Christ. It reveals Satan‘s evil plan of bringing anarchy into our nation, including the refusal of prosecutors to enforce constitutional pro-life laws. As we function in our assignment as watchmen for America, we must pray regarding this. Our prayers can turn this around. Dave shares: ********************* “Hell’s strategic planning team has come up with a genius plot to destroy America by placing a growing army of radical prosecutors in key locations around this nation. These portals of hell’s agenda have more power than any local occult activity through their positions of authority. They are using their power to replace God’s design for government with an advocacy of chaos. “Hidden in plain sight, at last count, '75 radically 'progressive' prosecutors, with campaigns funded by the Hungerian national George Soros, serve in key cities and communities. The results after just a few years are clear and measurable: increased crime and murder. Scripture clearly describes the role of government to protect the innocent (Romans 13). Yet the ‘soft on crime’ policies of these hand-picked radical prosecutors primarily protect the guilty. “Not only are they soft on crime, they are also creating a climate of lawlessness. Shortly after the overturn of Roe v. Wade, a large group of these radical prosecutors issued a statement declaring that they will defiantly refuse to uphold their state’s new laws to protect life and will instead follow their own personal radical ideologies on abortion. The laws these rogue prosecutors are blatantly disregarding were created constitutionally by state legislators the voters elected. “Recently, I talked with a few friends who are law enforcement officers where one of these prosecutors is in power. They shared some of the results of the radical Soros prosecutor in their district: Law enforcement officers do not enforce the law, because they know convicted criminals will likely receive light sentences or none at all. Law enforcement officers’ morale is incredibly low because officers see few results from their efforts. Criminals are MUCH more likely to go ‘hands on,’ during an encounter with law enforcement. That means suspects are willing to get into a physical altercation with police officers, because the prosecutor will most likely support the suspect over the law enforcement officers. Law enforcement agencies can’t recruit enough officers to fill vacancies, so they are constantly understaffed. Some of the factors are a general civic disrespect for law enforcement, the fear of lawsuits and reprisal from suspects, and a lack of support from the administration. Criminals are more brazen now because they know they can get away with crime. “The negative impact on law enforcement officers is not surprising. Soros also generously funds organizations advocating ‘criminal justice reforms’ like defunding the police. Backing inexperienced, unqualified, and radically progressive district attorney candidates is part of a coordinated, demonic plan to transform criminal justice in our nation, with the result of lawless and crime-ridden cities. “It’s working..! “In the past decade, Soros spent $40 million to fund the elections of prosecutors in over 70 districts. Prosecutors elected with the help of Soros money cover districts in half of the nation’s 50 most populous cities. This means one in five people lives under the jurisdiction of a Soros-promoted prosecutor. This small, strategic group of leftist prosecutors is increasing crime and disintegrating the rule of law for the entire nation. It is purposefully planned chaos. “The results? More than 40% of homicides and 33% of all violent and property crimes reported in 2021 occurred in Soros-prosecutor jurisdictions. Some major cities with these progressive approaches to crime are seeing record statistics of violent crime. This is no surprise because Soros prosecutors refuse to prosecute crimes such as drug trafficking and resisting arrest. In fact, with these progressive prosecutors, there is a 19% average decrease in guilty verdicts or pleas and a 20% average increase in dropped or lost felony cases…” [Dave included the amount of money spent by Soros and company in several cities, along with the latest crime rates. In comparing a progressive mindset to a biblical mindset, here are the differences you will see: “The progressive worldview believes in the innate goodness of mankind. A Biblical worldview recognizes the sinfulness of all men, seeing mankind as broken and needing accountability (and salvation). “The progressive worldview may attribute a criminal’s behavior to outside forces in their environment. They may cite institutional injustice, racism or bigotry, and they may believe that remorse should qualify criminals for leniency. A biblical worldview understands that humans are personally accountable for their choices and that there are consequences for man’s behavior. “A progressive worldview looks to external programs, policies, grants, and structures to provide the solution for the criminal’s rehabilitation. A biblical worldview acknowledges that restitution and rehabilitation happen within a person. A biblical worldview acknowledges that God has the answers. “Dear intercessor, we are witnessing that an anti-biblical worldview DOES NOT work. If you believe in the inherent goodness of man — instead of the broken nature of man — the result is chaos. This worldview brings out the worst in people and the worst in society. The enforcement of the rule of law in accordance with Romans 13 is based on truth and brings order. “It’s a demonic agenda. And it’s been working. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-11-2022 July 11, 2022 The Enemy’s Subtlety is Being Exposed Theologians have a law they refer to as the “law of first mention.” This refers to the general rule that the first time a major subject is mentioned in the Bible, significant facts are introduced concerning it that will remain consistent and relevant throughout the scriptures. The “first mention” of the serpent - satan - is in Genesis 3:1: Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which The Lord God had made. And he said to the woman “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden?’” It is easy to see this law at work here, as the verse speaks of satan’s subtlety or craftiness. God is informing us of one of the most important facts we must remember about satan: He is far more dangerous to us as the crafty serpent than the roaring lion. “Crafty” is the Hebrew word aruwm, taken from aram, which means “to be bare or smooth.” We actually use the same concept in our English language - someone who is crafty or wily is often referred to as “slick” or as a “smooth operator.” Such is the case with satan. He is very cunning, and we must be wary of his attacks and deceptions. He always seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (see John 10:10), and does so with great skill. Adam was not wary enough of the crafty serpent in the garden. He heard and saw him, but was unaware of his plans. Because of this, he failed as the watchman he was called to be. Satan was successful in invading and violating his garden. This same word, crafty, is used in Joshua 9:4, to describe a plan the Gibeonite people used to deceive Israel: “They also acted craftily and set out as envoys, and took worn-out sacks on their donkeys, and wineskins worn-out and torn and mended” (emphasis added). The Gibeonites were one of the Canaanite tribes Joshua and Israel were supposed to dispossess. This nation, however, deceived the Israelites into believing they were from far away and had made the long journey to form a covenant with them. Joshua and the people neglected to pray about this and were therefore deceived into entering a binding, covenantal agreement with these people. It must be said that Holy Spirit was attempting to warn Israel. In Exodus 34:12, they were told. “Watch yourself that you make no covenant with the inhabitants of the land into which you are going or it will become a snare in your midst” (emphasis added). We can also conclude from the Israelites’ suspicion of the Gibeonites that God was obviously trying to alert them. Joshua 9:7 says, “The men of Israel said to the Hivites [Gibeonites], ‘Perhaps you are living within our land; how then shall we make a covenant with you?’” Rather than heeding this caution, however, they acted on what they saw. The Israelites were not “watching.” We must remember that things are not always as they appear. The following story illustrates this: A traveler between flights at an airport went to a lounge and bought a small package of cookies, sat down, and began reading a newspaper. Suddenly, she became aware of a rustling noise. From behind her paper, she was flabbergasted to see a neatly dressed man helping himself to her cookies! Not wanting to make a scene, yet wanting to let him know they were hers, she leaned over and took a cookie herself. A minute or two passed, and then came more rustling. He was helping himself to another cookie! Back and forth this continued. Finally, they came to the end of the package. There was one cookie left. She was so angry she didn’t dare allow herself to say anything. Then, adding insult to injury, the man broke the remaining cookie in two, pushed half across to her, ate the other half, and left. Still fuming sometime later when her flight was announced, the woman opened her handbag to get her ticket. To her shock and embarrassment, there she found her pack of unopened cookies! Though Israel “ate the wrong cookies” and was subsequently taken advantage of, there is an incredible and positive ending to the Gibeonite story. God used the craftiness of the Gibeonites to picture satan’s craftiness. He told Joshua to make them “hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation and for the altar of the Lord” (Joshua 9:27, emphasis added). The altar of the Lord was where the blood of atonement was shed and, as such, pictured Christ’s Cross. Just as the “crafty” Gibeonites were used to prepare items for the animal sacrifices, God used satan, the “crafty” one, to make preparations for the ultimate sacrifice - Christ’s crucifixion. One can only imagine satan’s excitement as he “hewed the wood” (prepared the Cross) for Christ’s sacrifice. How crafty must he have felt as he orchestrated the weaving of the Crown of Thorns, watched the spikes being driven, and the spear being thrust into Christ. But his joy turned to terror when he learned he was aiding in his own destruction. God had turned the tables on the crafty one! The outcome of the Gibeonite story is an incredible assurance that God can reverse the subtleties of our adversary, the devil, and use them to bring about good. Through His amazing wisdom, which always supersedes satan’s subtlety, our mistakes can actually become the instruments of God’s redemptive purposes. The Cross is God’s ultimate proof that He can turn your circumstances around and even bring good through evil. The Lord intends to do this for America. Satan has deceived many in our nation. Some believe we simply don’t need God. The devil has convinced others that there are many gods and/or many ways to God. Others have been deceived into outright rebellion. God, however, is going to save millions of deceived Americans. There is coming a strong revelation of His son, Jesus, and His salvation. The presence of the Lord will be heavy in our land, opening the eyes of many. Do not doubt this. He is coming with a tidal wave of love and mercy to the lost and hurting. Get ready! Pray with me: Father, forgive us for allowing so much ground to be taken by the deceiver in our nation. Forgive us for allowing the crafty one to take over our education system, government, media, and other segments of our culture. Forgive us for allowing him into the church. Forgive us for the division in the church. You have told us the greatest of all spiritual traits is love - not sound doctrine, theology, the gifts of Holy Spirit - but love. And yet, we allow the crafty one to deceive us, causing disunity and strife. This must break Your heart. Please forgive and deliver us from this deception. In spite of our failures, Lord, we know you are going to reverse the strongholds of darkness over America. You’re going to use satan‘s own plans and strategies against him. Just as his plans did at the Cross, they will backfire today. Therefore, we ask You with faith: Bring it! Turn the tables! Work his evil for our good! We know You can do this, for Yours is still the Kingdom (the rule), and the power, and the glory...forever!!! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. Our decree: We decree that the watchmen are arising and taking their places. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-8-2022 July 8, 2022 The Importance of Staying Alert I posted a few days back on 2 Corinthians 2:11: “So that no advantage be taken of us by satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.” As a quick review, the word “ignorant” is from the Greek word agnoeo, which means to be “without knowledge or understanding of.” Our English word “agnostic” is derived from it. Technically, an agnostic is not a person who is unsure if he or she believes in God, although we now use the word in this way. However, an agnostic is a person who does not know or understand, regardless of the subject. We also get the word “ignore” from the same root. In this verse, we are urged not to “ignore” or be an “agnostic” - without understanding - where the devil is concerned. “Schemes” is from the word noema, which literally means “thought.” The verse essentially says, “Don’t be without understanding of the way satan thinks.” Noema came to also mean “plans, schemes, plots, devices” because these things are products of our thoughts. For greater insight, let’s insert these definitions into the verse: “Don’t be without understanding of the way your enemy thinks and operates - of his plans, plots, schemes, and devices.” What happens if we ARE unaware of satan’s schemes? The verse says he will take advantage of us. The word “advantage” is derived from pleonekteo, which is a compound word meaning “to have or hold the greater portion” (pleon - “the greater part;” echo - “to have or hold”). It is easy to see why this is a word for “covet.” It also means “overreach.” In boxing, the person with the longer reach has the advantage and usually gets in more blows. The word pleonekteo is also translated as “make a gain;” satan makes a lot of gains on those who are unaware of his ways. The Greek scholar, Bullinger, says pleonekteo means “to make a prey of, to defraud.” Let’s put all 3 of these definitions together: “To the degree we are ignorant of the way our adversary thinks and operates - of his plans, plots, schemes, and devices - to that degree he will gain on us, prey on us, defraud us of what is ours and have or hold the greater portion.” Satan wants the greatest portion of our jobs, marriages, families, health, communities, money, government, nation, and more. In the 1960s and 1970s, the Church in America was without an understanding of what satan was planning, and he got the greater portion of our schools, government, media, and more. As we learn of and pray in accordance with the watchman concept of prayer, two other New Testament verses are meaningful. The first is Ephesians 6:18: “With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints” (emphasis added). The King James Version uses the word “watching” for the phrase “be on the alert.” The second verse is 1 Peter 5:8: “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (emphasis added). Again, other translations use the word “watchful.” Significantly, the context of both verses is spiritual warfare. Each mentions our adversary and challenges us to alertness or watchfulness, both for ourselves and our brothers and sisters in Christ. I want to draw four very important conclusions from these two verses. Protection from the attacks of our enemy is not automatic, including for believers. There is a part we play in protecting what has been assigned to us. Though God is sovereign, this does not mean He is controlling everything that happens on earth. He has left many decisions to us. If God were going to protect or safeguard believers from satan’s attacks, regardless of what we did or didn’t do, these verses would be totally irrelevant. In our theology, we must factor in human responsibility. Our decisions and actions have consequences, both for ourselves and for others. God’s plan IS to warn or alert us to satan’s tactics. This is a simple deduction. If God says, “be on the alert” for satan’s attacks, He is obviously willing to make us aware of them. God would not ask of us something He was not enabling us to accomplish. We must be alert - remain watchful - or we will not be aware of God’s warnings and alerts. If these attacks were always going to be obvious, alertness would not be necessary. Isaiah 56:10 speaks of “blind watchmen.” What an amazing oxymoron! I am afraid it has been a fairly good description of many of us in our watching roles. We are too often like Christ’s disciples of old, whom He said had eyes but at times couldn’t see (see Mark 8:18). We must do more than casually glance; we must alertly watch! If we are not alert and watchful, if we are ignorant of satan’s attacks, he will devour and take advantage of us. Sadly, many are destroyed due to ignorance or a lack of knowledge (see Hosea 4:6). Satan and demons are real. They seek to oppress, deceive, steal, kill and destroy. We must not deny the reality of or ignore spiritual conflict. Obviously, we are not to be preoccupied with satan; but neither are we to live in denial. The results of both can be disastrous. The story is told of a desert nomad who awakened hungrily one night and decided he’d have a midnight snack. Lighting a candle, he grabbed a date and took a bite. Holding the date to the candle, he saw a worm, whereupon he threw the date out of the tent. Biting into the second date, he found another worm and threw it away, also. Deciding he might not get anything to eat if this continued, he blew out the candle and ate the dates. Sometimes we, too, choose the darkness of denial to the light of truth. Though the truth may not always be what we want to hear, denial does not change it. Satan is real, is aggressively warring against us, and has made great gains in America. But God has raised up a company of watchmen who have turned the light back on! They know their authority, are alert and informed, and are determined to take back this nation for Christ. And we will! “Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe. Be mighty and full of courage” (1 Corinthians 16:13 TPT). As we pray today, let’s use a portion of the Flashpoint decree. Pray and decree with me: *WHEREAS: we, the Church, are God’s governing Body on the earth we have been given legal power and authority from heaven we are God’s ambassadors and spokespeople over the earth through the power of God, we are His world influencers because of our covenant with God, we are equipped and delegated by Him to destroy every attempted advance of the enemy WE MAKE OUR DECLARATIONS: We decree that America’s executive branch of government will honor God and defend the Constitution. We decree that our legislative branch (Congress) will write only laws that are righteous and constitutional. We decree that we will operate in unity, going beyond denominational lines in order to accomplish the purposes of God for our nation. 13. Normal limitations of the natural realm do not exist in dreams. Perhaps you have dreamed that you were flying like Superman. I have. Maybe you have seen monsters or unusual creatures in your dreams. Not so good. For certain, dreams are susceptible to extraordinary happenings. This ability to move outside the realm of natural laws is one of the reasons God chooses, at times, to speak through dreams. He can reveal things using unusual pictures and symbolic representations. He can also give us messages which do not have to be filtered through our natural reasoning. All dreams believed to have come from God must be judged by Scripture, of course. If they disagree with the Biblical teachings, we know they are not from God. However, dreams are a biblical method through which God speaks to His people. A few weeks ago, Holy Spirit spoke to my brother, Tim Sheets, through a dream. The dream actually occurred as he slept on an airplane. It is quite profound. Here is his account: ************** “In the dream, I had gone to pray in Washington D.C. on July 4th. I've been there numerous times to pray. In the dream, I was in Lafayette Park, which is across the street from the White House. I have actually prayed there before in real life. But in the dream, I felt led to go to the spot where Dutch, Ken Malone, and I went 5 years ago (2016) to pray.” [Tim pauses the dream account momentarily to give an explanation of what happened to us on that literal prayer journey in 2016.] “Chuck Pierce had given us a golden vav, a stake, and prophecied, ‘Use this as a symbol. Go to Washington D.C., drive it into the ground, and decree that we are re-staking claim to America. God will show you where to place it.’” Still recounting the literal prayer time in 2016, Tim continues, “We went to DC and were praying in front of the White House, in Lafayette Park. Of course, we wondered, ‘Is this where we should drive the stake?’ After praying, I said, ‘I don’t feel like we’re to do it here, guys.’ “Both Ken and Dutch agreed. However, Dutch responded by saying, ‘But I don’t feel we are finished with our assignment here.’ “I said, ‘Well, what else do you want to pray about? We’ve been praying for an hour.’ “Dutch responded, ‘Well, I don't know. Let’s pray about what to pray about!’ (Sometimes you just have to keep it simple!)” Still recounting the literal prayer time in 2016, Tim continues, “We were being discreet as we prayed, and had backed up into the park somewhat, 50 yards or so from the crowd standing at the front fence of the White House. Ken prayed, ‘Lord, what else are we to decree here? What more would You like us to do?’ “Then we saw a guy coming towards us. As he got closer, I said, ‘Guys, that’s an angel!’ “He kept coming and didn't even really look our way. He simply walked by us, 2 or 3 feet away, and said six times: ‘Mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy.’ And then kept walking. “Dutch said, ‘We gotta talk to him!’ We looked for him, but he was gone. Well, it didn’t take a genius to know what we were gonna pray. We started asking God for His mercy!” [Tim now shifts back to describing his recent dream.] “So, in this dream, I’m thinking, ‘I’m going to stand where that angel spoke to us.’ And I went to that spot. As I stood there praying (again, in the dream), looking at the White House, I saw a guy, maybe 100 yards or so away. He was carrying a tree trunk about a foot and a half in diameter and around 12 feet long! And I'm thinking in the dream, ‘He’s carrying a tree trunk! There's no way a human can carry a 12 feet long tree trunk. That can't be…he can’t be a human! This has to be an angel.’ “As he came closer and closer to me, I could see that it was, indeed, an angel. He was actually a very, very big angel with muscles rippling all over, and he carried the log under one arm as he approached. Stopping directly in front of me, he stood still, staring at me. “In the dream, I finally asked the obvious, ‘Why are you carrying that tree trunk?’ “And he answered me in the language and demeanor of a soldier, which was very telling. ‘Sir, it’s not a tree trunk. It’s a battering ram.’ “Well, I said, ‘What are you going to do with it, soldier?’ I knew to call him ‘soldier’ because of the way he spoke. “He responded, ‘There are four of us surrounding the White House. We’re here to break down Lucifer's barriers that protect Baal’s roots.’ “I said to him, ‘Well, why did you…why did you come and reveal that to me?’ “Then he said, ‘Sir, permission to proceed?’ “I responded, ‘Soldier, proceed.’” (End of dream) After relating the dream, Tim stated, “Micheal and his angels will be releasing battering rams to unlock this nation.” ************** There is really no explanation needed for this dream. God is saying He is about to tear down satan‘s strongholds over Washington, D.C. This was confirmed to me yesterday by the following prophetic word given by my friend Chuck Pierce. Chuck said, “We are in an era when God is strengthening us. It’s time to cut certain heads off of the enemy - we are in a ’headship’ war, determining who will rule and how they will rule. We are going through a time of realignment - even personally. We need guts of iron and backbones of steel…The enemy tries to get your soul so wounded that you can’t understand what is happening… “Timing is key now - timing for DC. Everything between now and the end of July, for DC - is key. It can be turned the way the Lord wants it to be turned.” His final statement is quite significant. DC can be turned the way the Lord wants it to be turned. And this month of July is key. For two leaders in the body of Christ to hear the same message, in different ways, is very important. July is a very strategic month. In Tim’s dream, he was in DC on July 4. (This was so real to him that he actually went to DC on the 4th to release - at the very spot in the dream - a decree for the angels to implement their battering rams.) We must listen carefully and act on these words. I encourage prayer journeys to Washington DC this month. I also urge intercessors and prayer groups to pray into these words throughout the month of July. Pray that more exposure comes to evil in our nation. Pray that the barriers protecting Baal’s roots in America be demolished. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations, and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10: 3-5; NASB). Let’s experience the breakthroughs God wants to bring us! Pray with me: Father, we thank You for giving us encouraging words and clear strategies through our great Helper, Holy Spirit. You have confirmed over and over the angel’s message in 2016. We received great mercy in that election. Donald Trump gave us three constitutionalist Supreme Court Justices, just as he promised he would, and now we have seen the curse of Roe broken off of us. Mercy, indeed. And You sent another angel to that very same spot, in a dream, telling us it is time for Baal’s influence in America to be fully exposed and his hold over us broken. This confirms what we have already been hearing in the Spirit; You also have recently said this to prophetic leaders and intercessors. Release the battering rams now, we pray. Send Michael and his angels to tear down - to demolish - these strongholds through the prayers and decrees of Your Ekklesia. And now, Father, awaken the praying church to the significance of the month of July. Impress upon them the importance of praying regarding this dream. Send teams into Washington DC. Send apostolic leaders and intercessors there. We will go confidently, knowing we have the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, with which we can bind the powers of darkness over America and release Your Kingdom will. We decree as our King instructed us: Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven! And we do this in the mighty name of King Jesus. Amen. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-6-2022 July 6, 2022 A National Decree “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways.” (Job 22:28; NASB) More and more believers are learning the power of agreeing with God in our hearts and declaring it from our mouths. We are born again - the greatest of all miracles - when we believe the Gospel in our hearts and confess it with our mouths (Romans 10:9-10). The Greek word translated “confess” (homologia) means “to say the same.” ln a biblical context, it means to say what God says. Because of the root Greek word logos/logia, a more thorough definition would be “to understand, agree with (submit to), and acknowledge this by saying it.” Confessing Jesus as Lord means you understand the Gospel, agree and submit to it, and declare this verbally. Confessing, declaring, or decreeing our faith in God’s Word has become somewhat controversial due to unbalanced teaching by some and ignorance of the Scriptures on the part of others. It need not be, however. Simply stated, the power of God’s Word and from what Holy Spirit says prophetically, must be released by us. One of the ways we do so is with our mouths. This truth is seen throughout Scripture. There are other reasons we speak God’s words, as well. In my studies over the years, I have come to believe we do so in order to: Increase our faith - Romans 10:17 tells us faith comes by hearing God’s words. Jesus said His words were seeds (Matthew 13:1-23). Hearing His Word as we speak it, is one of the ways in which we plant the seeds in our hearts. Speaking the Word is actually part of biblical meditation (Joshua 1:8); the Hebrew word means to mutter or speak to oneself. Release our faith - As stated in the opening paragraph, releasing our faith by stating what we believe is how we’re born again (Romans 10:9-10). Jesus said declaring our faith would remove mountains of adversity from our lives (Mark 11.23-24). The Faith in our hearts must be released! Release God’s power and life - Jesus spoke to storms, fig trees, and dead individuals (Mark 4:39; Matthew 21:19; John 11.43). Obviously, He did not do so because storms or trees have ears, and the dead don’t hear. Jesus was releasing His faith through His words. He also released miracles, as did the disciples, through declarations (Matthew 8:8-13; Acts 9.34,40). Proverbs 18:21 tells us “life” is in the power of our words! Release the sword of the Spirit - Ephesians 6:17 tells us the spoken Word is a spiritual weapon against forces that oppose God. Matthew 16:18-19 says we bind and loose, forbid and allow with the authority Christ has delegated to us. This is accomplished by declaring His words and will. Obviously, we must pray and decree according to God’s will and Word (1 John 5:14-15). When we do so, however, our declarations and decrees release life, power, His will and Kingdom rule (Matthew 6:10). Like God - and Abraham - we call things that be not, as already existing (Romans 4:17). The definition of faith - believing in what we cannot see - lets us know that we are decreeing what we desire and know to be God’s will, not what has already manifested. This is why we make declarations and decrees. Our friends at Flashpoint, Gene and Teri Bailey, have written and released the following strong, biblically-based decree over America. In a parable regarding the subject, He stated that this virtue would be part of our welcome into Heaven: “The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’” (Matthew 25:21) In today’s post, I’m doing something I’ve been planning for quite some time. I want to honor the faithful intercessors and other front-liners who have worked diligently to see the purposes of Christ accomplished in America. Most of you are never paid a penny for your labors, never receive glowing introductions, and will never stand on a stage. You’re the nameless, faceless heroes the prophets assured us were coming. Thank God you’re here. Your best days are ahead of you. The great leader, orator, and statesman, Winston Churchill, was known for his ability to bolster the spirits and determination of the British people during the harsh days of World War II. On October 31, 1942, he was addressing a conference of coal-mine operators and miners in Westminster’s Central Hall. Compared to some of Churchill’s speeches, this one seemed like nothing extraordinary, not until his ending, that is: “We shall not fail, and then someday, when children ask, ‘What did you do to win this inheritance for us, and to make our name so respected among men?’ One will say: ‘I was a fighter pilot’; another will say: ‘I was in the Submarine Service’; another: ‘I marched with the Eighth Army’; a fourth will say: ‘None of you could have lived without the convoys and the Merchant Seamen’; and you in your turn will say, with equal pride and with equal right: ‘We cut the coal.’” (1) With absolutely no fear of being sensationalistic or exaggerating the truth, I say to the intercessors and active “coal-cutters”: Thank you for furthering the cause of Christ and helping save the world from evil and tyranny. Helping to restore America back to her destiny IS essential to saving the nations. Ronald Reagan was accurate when he said of America: “You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.”(2) Reagan had a good reason for stating this. Though we in America are not more loved or special to God than other nationalities, we do play a unique role. And we must not fail. If we persevere in our assignment, WE WILL NOT FAIL. I recently heard a quote implying that our yieldedness to God is more important than our actions or efforts. May I respectfully say that this is a half-truth. Our yieldedness is but one side of the coin. The converse side of the coin is the hard work side - the “Go ye” side - the “coal-cutting” side. Without this half of the coin, it’s a counterfeit. In late 2019 and early 2020, I listened as effort-less believers mocked, ridiculed, and criticized others who worked tirelessly for the ideals and principles - not for a person or political party - in which they believed so passionately. Those ideals, of course, included the lives of millions of babies in the womb. I am not contending that they all did so perfectly; just that they “did so.” And I want to say “thank you.” Some of you were like Eleazar in Scripture, one of David’s mighty men, who fought the enemies of Israel until his hand clung to the sword (2 Samuel 23: 9-10). They had to peel Eleazar’s fingers from the sword after the battle. When he could no longer hold on with his physical strength, he held on with his heart. I have watched some of you weep through bloodshot eyes, pray through the night, fast for days on end, and spend thousands of your hard-earned dollars to see the purposes of God established in our nation. I will never fault or criticize you, the Eleazars of the Kingdom, for perhaps misinterpreting a dream, misstating a fact or praying an imperfect prayer. God has never required perfection, and your efforts did not go unnoticed in Heaven. You are today’s “mighty men and women.” I have watched others of you stand in the rain and snow for hours with a piece of red LIFE tape covering your mouths. Others of you have adopted unwanted babies or children, preserving their destinies and giving them families. Still, others have supported these actions financially. You are my heroes - I am humbled by your sacrifices and commitment. Thank you for your coal-stained faces. You all are important reasons we are the “post-Roe generation.” Had there been more of you, perhaps some of the other cataclysmic issues of our day would now be overcome. My prayer is that your ranks grow. In conclusion, I dedicate the following quote from Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt to you, the “doers.” Roosevelt’s statement was made on April 23, 1910, in a speech originally entitled, “Citizenship In A Republic.” The speech is now best known as “The Man In the Arena.” This incredible leader, who once gave a speech while bleeding from just having been shot in the chest, spoke of people like you: “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”(3) To you, the coal-cutters of the Kingdom, we say thank you. Pray with me: Father, You are not impressed with our gifts and talents. They came from You, after all. What You appreciate and need is our faithfulness. You equated greatness with servanthood, not with notoriety or influence. Prayer changes the world, and You said do it in the secret place. We thank You for the faithful, hidden ones in the Kingdom - the doers, the givers, the goers. May the coming season in the church be known as “the believers' movement.” Deliver us from showbiz Christianity, platform-driven movements, and spiritual entertainment centers. Give us real Christianity, the book of Acts kind. It’s the only model You gave us. Light a fire in Your people. Release a call to action. Give us Eleazar's, spiritual “coal-cutters,” doers. Deliver the church from selfishness, laziness, and “prayerlessness.” Make us lovers AND warriors. We pray this in Christ’s name. Some of you know that Will gave me my first Appeal To Heaven flag and introduced me to its history. He is a great lover of God and country. Will begins: “In honor of the 150th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, President Calvin Coolidge said: ‘It is often asserted that the world has made a great deal of progress since 1776 ... and that we may therefore very well discard their conclusions for something more modern. But that reasoning cannot be applied to this great charter. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with unalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions.’ [1] “We are now 96 years past the time President Coolidge spoke those prescient words, and 246 years out from the signing of that exceptional document. As Coolidge so aptly pointed out – many would want us to look at the “progress” our nation has made and conclude that it would be appropriate to exchange a document so antiquated with something more modern. But we would be foolish to look upon our Declaration in this way. We must instead educate ourselves and our children on the ways in which our founders set up a lasting and powerful foundation, one that was designed to protect our God-given rights and foster a Republic in which we could live out those freedoms. Some Americans buy into the leftist ideology that bombards us at every turn, stating that our founding documents are oppressive, discriminatory, and outdated. Those who oppose the content, object on the basis of our nation’s past moral failings. However, we can unconditionally own the sins of our past without discarding the framework of liberty passed down to us. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., said: ‘When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.’ [2] “The misguided objections of some in our current culture could not be further from the truth. 1776 Project states it this way: ‘America’s founding principles are true not because any generation—including our own—has lived them perfectly, but because they are based upon the eternal truths of the human condition. They are rooted in our capacity for evil and power for good, our longing for truth and striving for justice, our need for order and our love of freedom. Above all else, these principles recognize the worth, equality, potential, dignity, and glory of each and every man, woman, and child created in the image of God.”’ 3] “To understand the brilliance behind the infrastructure our Founding Fathers created for us, we must look at the ways in which the documents are based on timeless Biblical ideas of man and government. These ideals have fostered a sacred freedom, scarcely found elsewhere in the world. “In fact, historians have found that the average lifespan of a written, national constitution is 17 years! With the founding documents of other nation’s proving to be so fragile, Americans must appreciate the durability of our own founding documents. Historian Stephen McDowell, has found that ‘the reason America has endured so long is because our documents are based on one other, even longer enduring document – the Bible.’ [4] “In honor of our Independence Day, let’s take a closer look at our nation’s Declaration of Independence, which has far surpassed the 17-year lasting average of such documents. The Biblical ideas found within can be summed up in the following four points – followed by exact wording from the Declaration itself: 1. All men are equal. ‘We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal…’ 2. Man, being created in the Divine image (imago dei), has independent value. ‘that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness…’ 3. Man is superior to the state (government). ‘That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among Men.’ 4. The state (government) exists for man. ‘deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed’ ‘whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.’ “The Declaration also directly refers to God four times: 1. ‘the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God’ [5] 2. ‘Men are created equal … [and] endowed by their Creator’ 3. ‘appealing to the Supreme Judge of the World’ 4. ‘And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm Reliance on the Protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.’ [6] “In their own words, the signers stated again and again that our nation would not succeed apart from God.[7] They understood that the exceptionalism of the Great Experiment, which they fondly called it, was directly rooted in the fact that the people who gave consent to be governed did so with the understanding of what it meant to live in a society governed by Biblical truths. And that they must actively and intentionally fight to protect those truths in each generation that followed. “Is it not obvious then, that our cause as Christian Americans living in this current culture is to uphold the biblical ideas of our founding and our government? We must remind ourselves of where we’ve come from and the foundations upon which we stand; that the documents themselves do not grant us freedom, but they profoundly recognize that freedom is something granted from God. We’ve been entrusted to protect it. “To that end – let us consider what it means to live in a nation that acknowledges God-given equality, unalienable rights, and liberty for all. What a vital and honorable responsibility it is to steward these foundational ideals: To be an American is something noble and good. To be an American is to be full of optimism for the future. To be an American is to be marked by determination to fight for what is right. To be an American is to be full of kindness toward those in need. To be an American is to show courage in the face of adversity. To be an American is to embrace hard work and be generous with the fruits of our labor. To be an American is to learn from our mistakes with openness and honesty. To be an American is to instill these values in the next generation. “Frederick Douglass understood this profound responsibility of the American people when he said: ‘The Declaration of Independence is the ring-bolt to the chain of your nation’s destiny; so, indeed, I regard it. The principles contained in that instrument are saving principles. Stand by those principles, be true to them on all occasions, in all places, against all foes, and at whatever cost.’ [8] “Fellow Americans, brothers and sisters, as you celebrate our Independence Day, would you resolve once again to uphold and embody the biblical ideals laid out in the Declaration. Pass them on to your children and fight to preserve the truths on which our nation rests – because isn’t that, after all, what it means to be an American?” Pray with me: Heavenly Father, we come first with hearts full of gratitude for the liberties we enjoy in America. We see Your hand throughout our foundations and thank You that our Founders were guided by Your truths, laid out in the Bible, and that they recognized our Republic cannot stand apart from You. Would You open the eyes of our nation, Lord, to see the biblical principles at the core of our founding. Please silence the voice of the enemy that would seek to discredit our heritage and bring our nation to ruin. Empower us to renew our resolve to live out the biblical ideals necessary for the preservation of this country. Today is one of those days. For several months, I have been concerned about likely international food shortages in the near future. Financial experts, farmers, and prophets are now predicting this. My purpose today is not to put fear in you - we must not yield to fear - but to alert the praying church. We MUST pray and if led to do so, make wise plans. Today we are sharing parts of an article by Angela Rodriguez and published by Intercessors For America, that explains what is coming. (You can read the entire informative article here.) “Since the beginning of time, food has been used as a weapon. Generals have utilized it to starve out the enemy, while dictators have wielded it to punish their own citizens. No matter what the reason, the food supply is perhaps the most powerful weapon that can be used to control a population of people. “When the Covid crisis began, supply chain problems popped up around the globe, leading to outbreaks of fear-based irrational behavior. Who can forget the Great Toilet Paper Crisis where desperate people were seen wrestling each other over a pack of Charmin? “The supply chain issues have intensified since the war in Ukraine. Your own eyes tell the tale when you walk into a supermarket, only to find your favorite cereal is missing, and the loaf of bread or bag of chips you bought in 2021 is now costing you almost a dollar more. Many of us notice 30% (or more) increases in our favorite food items, well above the published inflation rates of 8 or even 9%... “Back in mid-May, economist James Rickards posted an article where he laid out the reasons why we could see more food supply issues in the near future. He wrote, ‘[I]n the Northern Hemisphere, the planting season for 2022 is well underway. Crops were planted in March and April. Based on that, you can already form estimates of output for September and October during the harvest season…plantings have been far below normal in 2022, either due to lack of fertilizer, or because of fertilizer's higher costs, farmers simply chose to plant less. This predictable shortage is in addition to the much greater shortages due to the fact that Russian output is sanctioned, and Ukrainian output is nonexistent because it’s at war.’ “Projecting ahead to October–December of 2022, means that countries who rely the most on importing grain will not be able to get the amount needed. According to Rickards, ‘The combined population of countries that get between 70%-100% of their imports from Russia or Ukraine is 700 million people. That’s 10% of the population… you’re looking at a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented proportions, probably the worst since the Black Death of the 14th century.’ “With some farmers paying two to three times last year’s price [for fertilizer], it’s inevitable that the consumer will absorb much of this cost. Farmers in North Carolina (USA) say they are feeling the impact of inflation and that increased input costs are not sustainable. One farmer said that fertilizer cost is ‘up three to four times what it was a year ago…’ “Add in higher prices at the pump and you’ve got a recipe for rampant inflation. In places like the United Kingdom, farmers can’t afford to plant crops for the next season because of skyrocketing fuel and fertilizer costs. Bank of England governor Andrew Bailey declared that food prices are rising at the fastest rate in 30 years, causing ‘a very big income shock.’ He described food price increases as ‘apocalyptic.’ He warns that the UK may see a double-digit inflation rate by the end of the year… “While the grain supply is one concern, another issue is the outbreak of diseases among animal populations. [Millions of pigs, cattle, fish, chickens, and turkeys have either mysteriously died or been euthanized...] “Adding fuel to the fire, there’s also been a mysterious outbreak of fires in major food processing facilities across the country. One such facility, known as Azure Standard, was destroyed overnight, affecting liquid products such as honey, oil, and vinegar. A week before this, a fire erupted at Taylor Farms, where the main processing facility was destroyed. Known as a ‘major player’ in the food supply chain for both Canada and the U.S., this loss did not go unnoticed. Another fire occurred in March at the Maricopa Food Pantry in Arizona, resulting in the loss of 50,000 pounds of food. If that weren’t enough, in Minnesota, thousands of chickens died in a devastating blaze. Additional fires have flared up in Texas, Indiana, New Hampshire, Oregon, and more. “As these incidents and shortages play out, one can’t help but wonder what the globalists are saying, or more appropriately, what’s their role in all of this? It’s no surprise that one world organizations like the United Nations are talking about food shortages. David Beasley, the current head of the UN’s world food program, is predicting a ‘perfect storm’ of global agricultural collapse. The biggest problem this year is food prices, but he warns that next year, it will morph into a food availability problem as supplies run dry. ‘In 2023 you’re going to have a food shortage problem.’ “The World Economic Forum talked about food shortages at their annual meeting in Davos which was held May 22-26, 2022. Ahead of the meeting, World Economic Forum Founder Klaus Schwab said, ‘The return of war, epidemics and the climate crisis, all those disruptive forces have derailed the global recovery…Those issues must be confronted in Davos, and the global food crisis, in particular, needs our immediate attention.’ “When it comes to the food shortage crisis one wonders if the Hegelian dialectic has come into play. This occurs when a problem is purposefully created, but the blame for the problem is placed on another source. This problem elicits a reaction, whereby people cry out for a solution. Miraculously, the same entity that created the problem now provides a solution to solve the crisis. “In this case, is it a stretch to ponder the idea that the globalists have their climate-friendly solution for world hunger already in hand? After all, they claim to be sustainable food supply experts who must act swiftly to save the world. At the 2022 meeting, they parroted all the answers and so did their stakeholders and partners. “...The Rockefeller Foundation had a lot to say about the global food crisis in their guide titled Reset the Table: Transforming the U.S. Food System. The objective is clearly stated: ‘One of the consistent needs we’ve heard expressed by those seeking to transform the food system is a SHARED NARRATIVE to motivate the needed changes in the system…we articulated a narrative and a message framework focused on the long-term transformation needed in the food system.’ Further investigation of this guide reveals some common themes which are: racial justice, equity, fairness, sustainability, and shared prosperity... “This whole narrative the globalists are creating is likely part of a greater plan–one which will have many strings attached, such as global IDs and carbon footprint trackers. As J. Michael Evans of the Alibaba group declared at the World Economic Forum’s 2022 annual meeting: “We are developing through technology the ability for consumers to measure their own carbon footprint…where they are traveling, how they are traveling, WHAT THEY ARE EATING, what they are consuming...” “Other hints of this same agenda come from the World Bank Group. They, along with the United Nations, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Secure Identity Alliance, Mastercard, the World Food Program, and others have big plans for their universal ID program that is built upon sustainable goals…” “Here’s a few questions for the Rockefeller Foundation, Alibaba, and the World Bank–Will this universal ID be mandatory in order to receive the benefits of these food systems? Will our trackable carbon footprint affect what and how much we can eat? If we defy the approved narrative, will we be locked out of the program? How will food wealth be shared from one nation to another in order to provide ‘equity’? “The truth is that food can be used as a weapon. So, what do we do about it? Of course, we must take this issue to our Great Provider, Jesus Christ, who is very aware of the true narrative surrounding this issue. No matter what happens, we must remember that God is more than able to provide for all our needs. Like the story of Elijah and the ravens, God can use the most unique ways to sustain us. The ravens brought Elijah bread and meat twice a day. In our times of need, God will not fail us.” Let’s pray about this now. Pray with me: Father, we trust You as our provider. You will not forsake us in times of famine or difficulties. We resist fear - WE WILL NOT FEAR. We do pray, however, for Your mercy and grace in this coming season. We pray against the starvation that could occur among millions of people around the world. We ask for a miracle from You to stop this from occurring. We pray against any sinister plan by globalists to generate this food shortage in order to control people around the world. There are evil people in the world seeking to control us. We ask You to remove them from their positions of wealth and power. Dry up their funds and remove their influence. Give strategies to Your people as they navigate through these times. May we be prepared for what is coming, both through Your supernatural provision and through wise planning. Taking Territory for Christ It is well worth considering that events in Scripture did not always happen as quickly as it appears they did. Though the book of Joshua can be read in a couple of hours, the conquest of Canaan under Joshua’s leadership took about seven years. The entire book covers a period of approximately 25 years. And at that point, all the tribes of Israel still had not fully conquered all of their territories (see Judges 1:27-36). At a later season in Israel’s history, after a grand and glorious beginning in the rebuilding of the Temple, they experienced a sixteen-year delay (see Ezra 3-4). Through the ministry of the prophet Haggai, courage and faith to continue were reborn. Delays, setbacks, and long-term campaigns are not uncommon in the Kingdom of God. Though Holy Spirit has facilitated an acceleration in the pace of world evangelization, endurance and patience are still key factors. Consider the following example: In the 1970s, Almolonga, Guatemala, was idolatrous and economically depressed. Alcoholism was rampant, poverty, and violence the norm. Families suffered terribly due to the depravity that ruled. The Gospel did not prosper; persecution of Christian leaders was common. In 1974, a series of five-hour prayer vigils began, and shortly thereafter, God began to move. Deliverance and healings began to break forth, even resurrections from the dead. Conversions began to take place at such a rate that 90 percent of the 19,000 people in Almolonga became evangelical Christians. The revival impacted every area of life: families, businesses, and even the produce of the land. Nicknamed “America’s Vegetable Garden,” the fields produced three harvests per year, with five-pound beets, carrots bigger than a man’s arm, and cabbages the size of basketballs. Crime disappeared so much that, in 1994, the last of the four jails closed. Aftershocks of the revival in Almolonga continued for years. There is hope for your city and mine. There is hope for America. We are not at the mercy of sin, sinners, politicians, satan, or demons. Refuse to place control of our destiny in any of these! Choose to believe God is wiser than the devil. If Yahweh wants to bring revival to America, and He does, then we can have revival. We, the Church, hold the keys. We are Christ’s body - His hands, feet, voice - and what He does, He will do through us. We are Plan A; there is no Plan B. No one said it would be easy. To the contrary, words such as persecution, tribulation, fight, warfare, wrestle, endurance, and others like them are all applied to believers in Scripture. But the words victory, faith, overcomer, conqueror, power authority, harvest, and miracle are also applied to us. I boldly declare: If we are willing to fully obey God, walk in faith and never give up, we can have anything God wants us to have. And that absolutely includes revival. Holy Spirit gave me the following instruction in 1988 which is linked to the process of revival: Study the watchman concept again. “I already understand the concept of watchmen,” was my humble response. I know more than you do, was Holy Spirit’s quick and confident answer. Study the concept of the watchman again! He was right, as usual. It was then that I discovered there was more to the concept of a watchman than just a defensive or protective meaning. There is also an offensive or aggressive aspect of watchman prayer. The Hebrew words for “watchman” are also translated as “to besiege,”(1) “spy,”(2) and “ambush”(3) (See Judges 1:24; 2 Samuel 11:16: Isaiah 1:8; Jeremiah 4:17; Psalm 56:6; 71:10). This is due to the fact that all of these activities involve watching. Then I heard Holy Spirit say: I am going to release a fresh anointing to the Church that will enable My people to take individuals, cities, regions, and nations for Me. New strategies will emerge, fresh concepts of discerning satan’s strongholds will be released (i.e., spying), and sieges will begin. This strategy will eventually break satan’s hold over people and places. This will be a broad work, with strategies coming from many different sources. I will reveal one part of My plan to one person, another part to others. This will take place simultaneously, and often one ministry or person will not even realize they are part of a larger plan. But as each does their part, I will be cutting off satan’s strength from different directions as My people obey Me. This was several years ago before terms such as prayer walking, prayer journeys, spiritual mapping, identificational repentance, reconciliation ceremonies, Ekklesia, and others were being used. They may have existed in some people’s thinking, but most of the Body of Christ had never heard them. And I am relatively certain some of these phrases did not exist at all. Since that time, literally millions of believers around the world have not only understood and embraced these concepts but have put them into practice! Of course, we have not “arrived” in our understanding, but we are progressing at an amazing pace. Twenty-five years ago, you had to look long and hard to find a ministry existing solely for the purpose of prayer. Now there are many. Several major denominations actually have entire departments committed to facilitating prayer in their churches. Much of the praying taking place falls under this category of watchman prayer. “Spying” has taken place as the enemy’s strongholds and plans have been uncovered, discerned, and understood. “Sieges” are underway through persistent prayer all over the world. I am so confident heaven’s strategies will not fail that I have a bold prediction: During the next several decades, testimonies like those of Almolonga will become common. Let’s pray into this. Pray with me: Father, thank You for the privilege of partnering with You to save the world. Thank You for bringing us into Your family and giving us the joy of expanding it. You want billions of kids and You will have them. Father, we know Holy Spirit has been on an incredible campaign to bring revelation to us of what it means to be the church. We are, indeed, Christ’s Ekklesia - His governing body on earth. We thank You, Jesus, for sharing Your authority with us. And Holy Spirit, thank You for the revelation, teaching, training, and maturity You have produced in us. We believe we are now moving into the application and fruit stage. You have orchestrated divine sieges through our prayer efforts, Lord. You are doing this all over the world. You have been cutting off supply lines to the enemy through repentance, discernment, intercession, and decrees. We ask You to now give us the fruit of all this. May the greatest campaign of world evangelization and kingdom expansion in history go to a new level this summer. Bring the body of Christ together in new ways. Merge the different streams on assignments. Use our distinctive gifts and understandings, maximize our strengths. Hover over the Flashpoint gathering in Atlanta this week. The following quotes make clear the vast distinctions between the pro-life and pro-abortion camps in America: “This is a great day in American history, especially for the millions of children whose innocent lives will be spared from the horrors of abortion in the years to come. For too long Roe V. Wade has poisoned our courts, our culture, and our laws. Today’s decision corrects the grave constitutional error of Roe v. Wade - and finally gives the American people, through their elected representatives, the power to fix America’s extreme abortion laws and enshrine protections for the unborn in law,” says Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts. (1) Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins said, “The injustice of Roe has finally come to an end, and the momentum to protect life in law is finally on the side of innocent preborn children, and their mothers who deserve our help. Roe v. Wade has been a cancer…resulting in more than 63 million deaths. Today, the court has cut it out and that’s a win. Now we get back to building up a healthy society, affirming life for women and their children - born and preborn.” (2) Rev. Franklin Graham stated, “The United States Supreme Court just announced one of the most significant rulings in my lifetime - officially voting to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision [which] was ‘egregiously wrong from the start,’ as stated by Justice Samuel Alito.” (3) Dr. Alveda King shares, “I have longed for and fought for this day. A giant victory for the moment, but much work is yet to be done! I will continue to fight for human dignity for everyone - from the womb to the tomb.” (4) Former President Barack Obama tweeted, “Today, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues - attacking the essential freedom of millions of Americans.” (5) On Friday House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “The ‘Republican-controlled’ Supreme Court achieved the GOP’s dark and extreme goal of ripping away women’s right to make their own reproductive health decisions. American women today have less freedom than their mothers. With Roe now out of their way, radical Republicans are charging ahead with their crusade to criminalize health freedom. A woman’s fundamental health decisions are her own to make, in consultation with her doctor and her loved ones - not to be dictated by far-right politicians.” Pelosi continues, “While Republicans seek to punish and control women, Democrats will keep fighting ferociously to enshrine Roe v. Wade into law. This cruel ruling is outrageous and heart-wrenching. But make no mistake: the rights of women and all Americans are on the ballot this November.” (6) I can’t keep from commenting on this. The derangement of calling this Supreme Court decision “cruel,” “outrageous,” and “heart-wrenching” is a profound and chilling indictment on the inhuman thinking of Nancy Pelosi. She is strongly influenced by evil. “Today is one of the darkest days our country has ever seen,” says Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. “American women are having their rights taken by 5 unelected Justices on the extremist MAGA court…These justices - appointed by Republicans and presiding without accountability - have stolen the fundamental right to abortion.” (7) And last but not least, written on t-shirts and placards being worn and held by young adults standing in front of the Supreme court, were the words, “I am the Post-Roe Generation.” (8) I have been very vocal about where I stand on abortion, as well as the need for the church to be engaged in prayer, voting, and other activities in order to end this evil. The Dobbs ruling did NOT end abortion in America - it simply sends the decision back to the states and, therefore, the people - but it was a GREAT victory. It ended “Hamon’s” evil decree. (see Esther 3) Responsibility for sins and the reaping they produce occurs not only on a personal level, but also corporately. “Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to any people,” (Proverbs 14:34). In scripture, judgments for sin occurred in the lives of individuals, but also in nations. Israel was judged several times for their corporate turning away from God. The book of Judges gives multiple examples of this taking place. Here is one of them: “All that generation also were gathered to their fathers; and there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord, nor yet the work which He had done for Israel. Then the sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals, and they forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; thus they provoked the Lord to anger. So they forsook the Lord and served Baal and the Ashtaroth. The anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and He gave them into the hands of plunderers who plundered them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies. Wherever they went, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had spoken and as the Lord had sworn to them, so that they were severely distressed.” (Judges 2:10-15; NASB) Since the 1990s, I have been saying the “strong man” over America (see Matthew 12:29), Baal, lives at the Supreme Court. I’ve stated that they have opened the door for more evil to flow into America than any other group or authority. The evil and destruction their decisions have created are, quite literally, immeasurable. Not only have these rulings resulted in tens of millions of murders, but also of a consequent culture of death in America. Add to this other rulings that reject God’s (and the Scripture’s) influence, break His laws and redefine His covenants (marriage) - and the devastation has been unfathomable. In every presidential election of the past 30 years, I’ve warned that “It’s about the Courts.” Why? The president appoints the Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges. The election of Donald Trump caused a major shift and breakthrough in this regard. He appointed 3 conservative, Constitutionalist, pro-life Justices. The result: with the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe, a law/decree that brought devastating judgments on us as a nation has been canceled. This will now allow national cleansing to occur and permit the fruit of righteousness to flow down on our nation, at least in this regard. America’s most egregious sin - this national law/decree legalizing the murder of babies - has been reversed and our covenant with death has been broken (see Isaiah 28:18). This reversal is the first and most important step toward the ending of the death culture in America. The church should begin to pray for the ending of murders, including mass shootings. Our prayers will now have more influence in this regard. Also, I believe the Lord recently spoke to me that the ending of Roe will now allow Him to deal with states on an individual basis rather than the entire nation. The states that stand for life will experience blessing; those whose leaders harden their hearts will not. HOWEVER, I also believe I heard Him say that the people who stand for life in pro-abortion states can be covered, protected, and blessed. And I believe I heard one more thing: as an individual state’s cup of iniquity becomes full (Genesis 15:16), He will begin judging and removing those in its government who make the evil laws. God wants to redeem people, not judge them. He can judge the wicked while blessing the righteous. He can send revival to a state while removing deterrents, including people. The judgment of evil leaders and systems will be salvation and blessing to many people. We must pray for this to occur in states whose governments are now pro-death. So, my praying friend, while Goliath’s head was indeed cut off, we must persist and not grow weary until abortion in America is only in our history books. Pray with me: Father, thank You for hearing our prayers and enabling America to reverse the evil, evil decree of Roe. We know it is not the end of the journey. We realize that millions of hearts will have to change through the coming awakening, causing a reformation of laws and actions, in order to see this shedding of innocent blood stop. We are praying toward this end and we know we are praying Your will. But for this incredible breakthrough, the reversing of Haman‘s evil decree, we thank You. We pray that the cleansing from this sin will cause a heightened level of revelation, opening the eyes of people to the evil of abortion. We pray that it will cause the hold of the spirit of death to be broken off of our nation, resulting in fewer murders and suicides. We pray that as the cups of iniquity continue to fill for unrighteous government officials, You will remove them from their positions and free the people from their unrighteous rule. Send revival to liberal, leftist strongholds! And we pray that the minds of the young generation of Americans - those who have been indoctrinated by ungodly educators and leaders - would be freed supernaturally fast through the coming revival. This generation is destined to experience and participate in the greatest revival in history. We pray now for their liberation and the shift of their paradigms to come quickly. Save and deliver them, we pray, in the mighty name of Jesus! 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/friday-june-24-2022 Friday, June 24, 2022 Keep the Serpent Out of Your Garden My good friend, Chuck Pierce, told me recently I needed to revisit and teach from my book, Watchman Prayer. Chuck said it was more important now than when I wrote it 20 years ago. A couple of weeks back Gene Bailey and our friends at Flashpoint also mentioned the book. Gene said watchmen prayer is what he feels the upcoming Flashpoint Live in Atlanta is all about. This gathering on July 1 is so important. Please join us either in person or on the Victory Channel. With these confirmations in mind, over the coming weeks, I am planning to teach occasionally about being watchmen for our nation, families, and leaders here on Give Him 15. Satan takes advantage of us when we are not functioning as watchmen, as is made clear in the following verse: “In order that no advantage be taken of us by satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes” (2 Corinthians 2:11). The context of this verse is forgiveness, but a general principle is also revealed. Let’s analyze the verse more closely. The word “ignorant” is from the Greek verb agnoeo, which means to be “without knowledge or understanding of.”(1) Our English word “agnostic” is derived from it. Technically, an agnostic is not a person who is unsure if he or she believes in God, although we now use the word almost exclusively in this way. In actuality, an agnostic is a person without knowledge or understanding, regardless of the subject. We also get the word “ignore” from the same Greek word. In this verse, we’re urged not to ignore or be an agnostic - without understanding - where the devil is concerned. “Schemes” is from the word noema, which literally means “thought.” The verse is saying, “Don’t be without understanding of the way satan thinks.” Noema came to also mean “plans, schemes, plots, devices”(2) because these things are born in the thoughts of the mind. For greater insight, let’s insert all of these concepts back into the verse: “Don’t be without understanding of the way your enemy thinks and operates - of his plans, plots, schemes, and devices.” By the way, is there not also a promise in this warning? If God says we must not be ignorant of satan’s schemes, He is obviously willing to reveal them to us. What will happen if we are unaware of satan’s schemes? The verse says he’ll take advantage of us. The word “advantage” is derived from pleonekteo, which is a compound word meaning literally “to have or hold the greater portion” (pleon - “the greater part”; echo - “to have or hold”).(3) It is easy to see why this is the word for “covet.” It also means “overreach.”(4) In boxing, the person who has a longer reach has the advantage and usually gets in more blows. The word pleonekteo is also translated “make a gain”; satan makes a lot of gains on those who are unaware of his ways. The Greek scholar, Bullinger, says pleonekteo means “to make a prey of, to defraud.”(5) Let’s use all of these definitions to translate the verse: “To the degree we are ignorant of the way our adversary thinks and operates - of his plans, plots, schemes and devices - to that degree he will gain on us, prey on us, defraud us of what is ours and have or hold the greater portion.” The greater portion of what? Whatever! Our homes, marriages, families, communities, money, government, nation, and more. In the 1970s and 1980s, the church in America was without understanding of what satan was planning in our education system and he took the greater portion of our schools. The same could be said of our government. Paul was taken advantage of by satan in 1 Thessalonians 2:18. Satan gained on him (plenekteo) in the ongoing war over spreading the gospel: “For we wanted to come to you - I, Paul, more than once - and yet satan thwarted us.” We know Paul won more battles than he lost, but he was human and at times satan succeeded in thwarting his plans. Please notice the verse doesn’t say God changed His mind about where Paul was to go. It clearly says satan hindered him. Those who would have us think that satan can do nothing except what God allows and, therefore, we are to simply ignore him, are misled. God doesn’t ignore the devil and neither should we. And satan certainly does a lot of things God doesn’t “allow” him to do. The only sense in which it can be said that God allows everything which occurs on earth is that He created the laws and principles - sowing and reaping, cause and effect, and the free will of humans - that govern the earth. We, however, implement these principles and determine much of what we reap and experience. Satan understands these laws also, and uses them to his advantage whenever possible. (6) The first example of failing to keep watch in the Bible was by Adam. God told him in Genesis 2:15 to “keep” the garden. The word “keep” is the Hebrew word shamar, which is one of the three Old Testament words used for a watchman. One of the main concepts of the word involves protection and preservation. Adam was told to protect the garden, watching for attacks from the evil one, the serpent. Why do I assert this? Because first of all, it is much in keeping with the nature of God to have warned Adam. Not to have done so would have been inconsistent with God’s character. Second, neither Adam nor Eve seemed shocked when a snake talked to them. It evidently didn’t surprise them; they knew about the serpent! Third, what else could there have been before the Fall to guard, keep, or protect the garden from? Only the serpent.(7) From this first mention of the responsibility of watchmen, we can see that their first responsibility is to keep the serpent out of their God-given gardens. The serpent is always interloping, seeking to grab the greater portion. He has sunk his venomous fangs into many portions of America and the world. The fruit of his poisonous venom is evil and deadly. Pray with me: Father, our lack of understanding has enabled satan to take advantage of us in numerous ways. You are giving us the understanding that this does NOT have to be the case. Holy Spirit is willing and ready to alert us to our enemy’s plans and schemes as he attempts to steal, kill and destroy. He will reveal what is happening behind the scenes and show us how to pray. We ask for increased revelation of how to be watchmen for our families, homes, friends, leaders, and nations. Teach us more about this privilege. Help us to become more sensitive to the promptings of Holy Spirit as He alerts us to the plans of satan. And regarding our nation, You are awakening the Ekklesia to our responsibility of watching over our government, our schools and children, our cities, etc. We were asleep for many years and satan gained a great advantage. But we are now understanding our authority and taking back what he has stolen. You said in Scripture You would make Baal vomit up what he had stolen (Jeremiah 51:44). We will take back our schools, our children, our government, and our nation, in the name of Jesus! There are four concepts, embodied in four biblical words that are helpful in fulfilling our purpose and destiny. These concepts apply to both individuals and nations. Understanding them will help you greatly as you navigate around roadblocks, detours, setbacks, and delays. Prooizo The first of them is prooizo. The root word, horizo, means to mark out a boundary, the farthest reaches of a territory. You can easily see the English word horizon in this Greek word. The horizon is the farthest point visible in the distance. The prefix “pro” is the equivalent of “pre” in English, indicating something is being done “in advance” or” ahead of time.” When proorizo is used in scripture it indicates that God has determined our destinies, our futures, the boundaries and horizons of our lives...in advance! This is often the word translated as ”predestine” in Scripture. “For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren,” (Romans 8:29). The fact we have been pre-destined by God does not mean we have no choice or free will - that everything which happens to us was pre-planned by Him. It simply means God has a pre-planned destiny for us. Our responsibility is to make the right decisions in order to accomplish that destiny. Proetoimazo The second word is proetoimazo, which means to fit or measure in advance, much like a tailor or seamstress would do when making clothing for an individual. The word is used in Ephesians 2:10: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them,” (NASB). This verse is actually saying God “measured” or “fitted” us in advance for the works He intended us to do. Knowing the plans He had for us, our Creator knew the gifts, personalities, abilities, etc. we would need in order to accomplish them. As He wove us in our mother’s womb He worked those traits into our minds and bodies. We have everything we need to accomplish all God purposed for us. Prothesis The third word is prothesis. This Greek word is the origin of our English word “thesis.” A thesis explains the plan, purpose, intent, or operation of something. The word is often translated “purpose” in the New Testament: “[God] has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,” (2 Timothy 1:9; NASB). God wrote a plan, purpose, and intention for our lives before we were ever born (see also Psalm 139:13-16). Again, this does not remove from us the power of choice or free will but means there is a pre-planned purpose God wrote for us. We must draw near to Him, allowing Holy Spirit to steer us in the right directions and give us the needed training to accomplish this purpose. Achariyth The fourth word, a Hebrew word for “destiny,” gives an added and important dimension of understanding. Achariyth, is used in Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future (achariyth) and a hope.” Interestingly, that which is behind and that which is ahead comes from the same Hebrew word. The explanation for this is that Hebrews pictured a person moving toward her or his future as one rowing a boat: they back into their future. Listen carefully. The best way to propel a rowboat is to do so with your back toward the direction in which you’re heading. As you row backward, which is actually forward, you cannot stay on course if your head is continually turned to look behind you. The angle of your body will cause you to angle the boat. The key is to find a reference point in the direction you are facing and align it with your destination behind you. Then you can row toward your destination without constantly turning your head around to look behind you. To state this another way, your reference point is in the past, where you have already been, behind you. You are using your past to reach your future. The spiritual meaning is that we move forward, in part, by keeping ourselves reminded of what God has done, shown us, or told us in the past. Our faith is anchored in this, starting with His word. We cannot see all of the future, but we can see His promises. We can hold fast to and align ourselves with what He has said. We are “rowing” by faith. It is no revelation that God does not share all the details of our future with us. He demands that we walk by faith as we pursue our purpose and destiny. When we experience challenges, obstacles, detours, and even failures, we must keep our focus on His word and past faithfulness, knowing if we do so, He will keep us on course. Obviously, these four truths and principles are pertinent for us individually. However, they are true for nations, as well. In fact, the plans and destiny spoken of in Jeremiah 29:11 were for the nation of Israel. Acts 17:26 also tells us that He appoints the boundaries and destinies of nations: “And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation.” The word “appointed” in this verse is protasso, which means “a specific command for a specific purpose.” God commanded the times and places of nations and He did so for specific purposes. America has gotten off course. Forgetting what God has said, we have attempted to find our future without yesterday’s reference point. God has said that He is correcting this. We must continue to agree with Him, not our present circumstances and failures. We must persevere in releasing our faith for a complete restoration, standing on the promises He has given us. Keep rowing, both for yourself…and for our nation..! Pray with me: Father, as we row toward the good future You spoke of in Jeremiah 29:11, we face many obstacles. And yes, at times, we take our eyes off of Your words and promises. This causes us to row off course; sometimes we even row in circles! However, in Your mercy and patience, You are offering to get us back on course. You are faithful to correct our mistakes and shortcomings. America has gotten off course. We have become so disoriented that we are rowing away from our destiny. But You are restoring us. You are restoring us to the old road Jeremiah spoke of (Jeremiah 6:16). You have said, “America shall be saved.” We believe this. We are focused on it. We, the Ekklesia, are looking back at the reference point of Cape Henry and other important benchmarks in our history. We have locked our gaze upon them and our intercession and decrees are now aligned with Your purposes. As our prayers have gotten back on course, You will now use them to turn America back toward her destiny. We stake our claim to this through the power, blood, sacrifice, and authority of Jesus, amen. I also believe it is God’s time for this release of power. Confirmations are beginning to be sent to me. Fred Gulker, a pastor friend of mine in Michigan, sent the following report: ******* “We are experiencing a special outpouring of God’s presence and miracles. His weighty glory is coming on people, accompanied by significant manifestations of Holy Spirit, including significant miracles. A 10-year-old girl with 40 to 50 warts on her hands was prayed for and all warts melted off her hands in about 15 minutes. Children watched it happen. Two people with stage four cancer have been given doctor verifications that the cancers are gone. A man who experienced a massive heart attack (was code blue 5 times - once without life for 10 to 12 minutes) is now functioning at full mental capacity and being restored physically. It is a special supernatural season, with growing momentum. “The miracle of the child’s warts dissolving was very radical and witnessed by several children. An angel appeared and gave them instructions. When they prayed, all but one wart totally disappeared. The children then together declared: ‘Be Gone!’ It, too, went away. The children came into the sanctuary and told us adults the story. The little girl’s parents heard the testimony along with the entire church, and wept like babies as we all celebrated together. Both hands had been covered with warts - front, back, between the fingers. Some were big and would crack and bleed. Her hands now have clear, soft skin, like a baby. This miracle that all could see was a barrier-breaking miracle and opened something in the spirit for more miracles.” ******* It is time for this to begin all around the nation. We should begin releasing our faith for this and follow biblical instructions to see it occur. Miracles can be received and ministered in several ways. The presence and anointing of the Holy Spirit in us can be transferred to others through touching them (referred to in the King James translation as “laying on hands;” Mark 16:18). James 5:14 tells believers to call for elders to pray for them: “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:14-15; KJV) Miracles are sometimes ministered through the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. Verses 9 and 10 specifically speak of “gifts of healing” and “the working of miracles.” Another method is seen in the book of Acts where Paul prayed over handkerchiefs that were given to sick people. When applied to their bodies, the anointing that had gone into the handkerchief went into them and they were healed. “And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.” (Acts 19:11-12; KJV) Miracles can also be received directly from Holy Spirit, with no one involved other than the recipient. “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:23-24; KJV) Miracles can be released simply through speaking God’s word in faith. “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions,” (Psalm 107:20; KJV). “The centurion answered and said, ‘Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.’ And Jesus said unto the centurion, ‘Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.’ And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.” (Matthew 8:8, 13) Begin stepping out in faith and asking for healings and miracles. Pray for family members, coworkers (with their permission, of course, and at an appropriate place and time), friends, and others. People need not be believers in order to receive a miracle. One of the stated purposes for miracles in Mark 16 and throughout the book of Acts is to provide “signs and wonders.” Do not allow the reason for failing to receive a miracle be that you did not ask for it: “…ye have not, because ye ask not,” (James 4:2; KJV). You will not see or experience a miracle every time you pray for a person, but I assure you, healings and miracles are beginning to multiply. Allow your faith to be stretched - ask. In Acts chapter 3, Peter prayed for a man who had been born lame. It was a horrible and sad condition. As a young boy, his family placed him at one of the temple gates named “Beautiful,” where he begged for alms (Acts 3:2). Because of the gate’s location, Jesus had to have passed by this man dozens - if not hundreds - of times without healing him. Yet on this day, Peter was led by Holy Spirit to do so. Interestingly, the Greek word translated “beautiful” in this verse does not mean beauty in the sense of attractiveness. It means “right time” (horaios). The concept of beauty in the word stems from events coming together in the right way, at the right time, and thereby creating something beautiful. It was “The Right Time” gate. Think about the beauty of this - Holy Spirit saved this miracle for just “the right time.” The early church needed a miracle of incredible proportions to verify throughout Jerusalem and all of Israel that Jesus did, indeed, raise from the dead. All of Israel knew who this man was, and all of them now knew that miracles were taking place in the name of the risen Messiah, Jesus. We have entered a “right time” season of the miraculous. Go through the gate by faith and begin asking for miracles and healings. I am confident you will experience some. Pray with me: Father, You are omnipotent, all-powerful. You are the Lord, our healer. Jesus bore our punishment for the curse of sin and sickness. We thank You, Father, for sending Him to do this; and Jesus, we thank You for paying this price. We ask You now for great manifestations of our redemption to be released into the earth. We ask for signs, wonders, and miracles to occur in the name of Jesus. We also ask for deliverances to take place, that those who are bound by drugs, habits, and other types of strongholds would be delivered by Your mighty power. Awaken in the church the spirit of revelation to produce faith in Your great redeeming work. Bring a fresh revelation of the power of the blood of Jesus to forgive, heal and deliver. As a fresh wave of evangelism moves across our nation and the nations of the world, give to many believers gifts of healing and the working of miracles. Give them the gift of faith and words of knowledge to accompany these healing gifts. May thousands of “right time” miracles take place around the world. We agree with Your prophets and we state our faith, “It is time for miracles!” We pray these things in the name of Yeshua, our healer.
